Well formed WSDL document for matrix data object

We are not having any success in passing a matrix (row / column) data into Xcelsius using  Web Services.  We can pass a string 'vector', one dimensional but can't figure out how to get a matrix of data into Xcelsius.  It appears that Xcelsius is very particular about the formation / format of the WSDL. 
Does anyone out there have some well-formed / working WSDL examples that they can pass along?  How about pointing us towards some documentation that would help us?  Hints?

I too am having some trouble finding the right format in which to pass external query results to Xcelsius from web services.
It doesn't accept datasets or datatables it seems, possibly because of the default data typing in the generated XML schema? Can anyone comment on that?
I have however found that i can build a custom class structure composed of several arrays (one for each column of data in my results). If the web service returns an object using my class, Xcelsius seems ok with it.
Eg (pseudo-code):
class myClass (
counts() as int
dates() as datetime
categories() as string
Take your external query results, parse them into the relevant arrays, and return the class object. Xcelsius seems to consume it ok.
Trouble is, to change the fields your external query returns means altering the class structure etc. If nothing changes much, then it could be ok.
Not an ideal solution, but might help - let me know how you get on.

    Hi Experts,
    I am trying to add one characteristics as compounding characteristics to my master data info object.
    previously 'Document property' option was checked for the infoobject. so i unchecked it, as it was not allowing me to add the compounding characterisitcs.
    After doing the changes, when I am trying to save, its throwing error as 'Concatenated values used in documents for master data'.
    Can anyone please help me with what exactly does it mean and what would be the solution to remove this error.

    Hi All,
    Just found the soultion...wanted to share this....
    Actually one document was created on one of my opportunity values, which was not simply visible from edit menu -> documents.
    Go to RSA1 -> documents -> master data -> and then give ur info object name -> will get all the documents maintained corresponding to it. Need to delete them.
    Then compounding characteristic can be added to our info object.

    Input XML sample:

    I was trying to create a well-formed document using DOM or SAX parsers in ExcuteScript activity, but it is leading to some complicated exceptions. And i am looking for the simplest way for transformation.

    I don't understand. There is no difference between the two XML instances other than whitespace. They are both well-formed XML.
    <root> <one><link1></link1></one><two></two> </root>

  • Edit Form in Document Library missing data

    When I try to create a new Edit Form for a Document Library in SP Designer 2013 the new form is missing the Name field.  The people picker field doesn't do lookups anymore either.  Like the Java is broke. 
    When I tried to do the same thing on a Drop Off Library for content management same thing as above plus documents stopped submitting.
    Anyone know how to do this?  Am I missing something?

    As a workaround, if solution with custom code is accepted in your scenario, I suggest you create a totally new page(not form page) for this library use only. We can use the common web developing technology to design the style, there are also rich exposed
    APIs can be called for the data accessing(such as uploading file, updating item). It would be more flexible to create custom solution in this way comparing to the limited functionalities provided in SharePoint Designer 2013.

    Can anyone confirm that the 'How To' document for uploading mass documents is still valid in BI 7.0 SP 15 (it was stated for 3.0B SP7) or suggest another way to do this?
    The business requirement is to upload numerous image files as BW: Physical Class Master Data documents for 0MATERIAL. It would need to also set the Log.Doc.Property of Document Type = value.

    This code does work in BI 7.0 SP 16, with a small alteration.

  • How to find posted documents for Master Data in BW?

    Hello,
    We are planning to use Knowledge Warehouse to store some documents against some Master Data like 0PROJECT. The idea is to use those documents when reporting on real cost versus budget.
    We created a custom interface that we use to create new master data in BW directly, and we have an input field which precises the name of the files to be loaded. That works fine.
    However, we need now to include in that custom interface a table which will display the existing documents for the project currently displayed. We want to avoid to load a same document twice.
    I do not succeed in linking the master data values and the documents. I found the table RSODPHIOMA. It contains the key of the documents that I look for. How can I make the link between that key and my master data values?

    i have data object using these

    where g_type1 refers a data type which i defined in the program. g_type1 = ty_addsubty. 
    now <fs_dp> refers to an internal table.
    now i want to build a field catalog for this internal table.
    In my program <fs_dp> structure is not always the same. i.e now it is ty_addsubty but for some other conditions the structure is different.
    please help me out.

  • Additional attributes for APO data objects

    Hi,
    In order to provide some be-spoke functionality I have a need to extend some APO data objects with additional attributes. This includes: resource, PPM, Order. For all I have identified that I cannot use exisiting fields, therefore my aim would be to add new attributes (either directly or via reference Z-table).
    I have two questions:
    1. What's the easiest way to extended above objects with additional attributes?
    2. Is there a ways to have those additional fields visible for edition from a standard transactions, eg.: /SAPAPO/SCC03, /SAPAPO/RES01, /SAPAPO/RRP5?
    Note: I'm interfacing with non-SAP ERP therefore CIF is not in use, while I see set of BAdis for master data inbound processing. Is this something I could use?

    As you mentioned, the add. att. are time dependent, it is good to enhance the
    0EMPLOYEE structure to handle not only the Master data attribs but also the
    time dependent add. attributes..which would be executed along with the Master data chain even after the imp.

                        Am doing daily master data loading for VENODR_ATTR master data object.... Am loading it through DELTA Update.... I got an error in Status Tab.
    rror message from the source system
    Diagnosis
    An error occurred in the source system.
    System response
    Caller 09 contains an error message.
    Further analysis:
    The error occurred in Service API .
    Refer to the error message.
    Procedure
    How you remove the error depends on the error message.
    Note
    If the source system is a Client Workstation, then it is possible that the file that you wanted to load was being edited at the time of the data request. Make sure that the file is in the specified directory, that it is not being processed at the moment, and restart the request.
    The Error Message is : - Update mode R is not supported by the extraction API.The application program for the extraction of the data was called using  
    update mode R . However, this is not supported by the InfoSource.        
    Kindly Help me if any of the Snd people might have face this kind of problem...

    Hi Aluri,
    The file might be used or being edited by some other person when you are doing the delta.
    CHeck the source system connection @ AWB.activate it.
    Follow these steps
    1. Activate transfer rules for data source in source system.
    2. Activate the ODS
    3. Activate the update rules (ods to ods and also ods to cube)
    5. Right-click at the ODS, choose 'Generate Export Data Source'
    6. Replicate the data source
    7.se38---->RS_TRANSTRU_ACTIVATE_ALL for source system .
    Then start data loading again.

    Hi All,
    I have a requirement in which we need to get the changes happening at field level in some Employee related (like PA0002) HR master data. We have checked that related fields, in those data elements check box is not enabled. For those changes we need to create interface program.
    I already created change document object in scdo T-code. For triggering the generated function module there is no relevant user-exit.
    For this we found one way of keeping the event trigger at database table level, and we found that we need to keep the form routine AB. But we don’t have any idea about the process methodology.
    Could you please tell me how to write the code in that related process routines in the standard tables? Or if there is another way is available to trap the changes at field level.

    To ensure that changes to infotype fields are entered (changes, creations, deletions), these fields must be maintained in the following views: HR Documents: Infotypes with Documents (V_T585A), HR Documents: Field Group Definition (V_T585B), and HR Documents: Field Group Characteristics (V_T585C).

    My comment was directed at the fact that you gave the same answer I did, only faster. There is no other way I am aware of that will be any quicker. Of course, that is looking at a small piece of code out of context, so there may well be a better way.

  • How to copy documents for InfoProvider data from one cube to another cube

    Hello Everyone,
    We are using standard document feature to store document/comment about the data shown in the report/planning query. Relevant characteristics have the property 'characteristics is document attrib' turned on/selected for this purpose.
    Looks like the documents created gets tagged to a particular InfoProvider along with characteristic value assignment.
    Is there a way to move or copy documents from one InfoProvider to another InfoProvider.
    As per the design requirement, we need to move data from a real time InfoProvider (transaction cube) to a basic reporting cube. The data in the first/source cube stays for a period of approx 3 months before moved to other cube. We want the documents associated with InfoProvider data also to be moved, so that users can continue to see the document/comments what they  had created earlier.  
    I looked at the Documents tab in DataWarehouse workbench. No options seem to be available to copy or move documents.
    Any help will be highly appreciated and points will be rewarded accordingly!
