What exactly is PO Document Date?

Dear forumers,
In the SAP MM module, what exactly does the term PO Document Date refer to?
Does this PO Document Date refer to the BUDAT field from the EKBE table or does it refer to the BEDAT field from the EKKO table?
Please help. Many thanks!

hi,
> I don't suggest you to code with the BUDAT....i suggest you to do it with other one....
Reason : Suppose if you make your PO today and and and keep it on hold, and post it tomorrow, then the dates will be different....
> I think for coding purpose both work differently....

Hope it helps..

  • Can you explain what exactly cdc mean in data services......?

    Hello!
I would like to know  what exactly change data capture (cdc) mean in data services......?

    Hi sudheer kore
CDC is basically a technical term - Change data capture. We use a few approaches to work capture changed data during ETL process. This can be called incremental approach/ delta loading of data.
    Source Based CDC
-Using a timestamp, date, datetime, or int column to uniquely identify the next "band" of rows to be loaded into the delta process in combination with a status table, global variable, and where clauses of the query transform. This is demonstrated in the Tutorial file provided with Data Services in the CDC chapter.
-Using the Database native CDC functionality, available in Oracle, SQL Server and I believe Attunity
Changes are replicated to change tables in the source, marked as insert/update/delete. Data Services can natively read these tables through the use of CDC Datastore objects and Map_CDC_Operation transform.
    Target Based CDC
-Must be used if the methods above are not available. The Table_Comparison transform is capable of comparing all source records to the target table to determine if an INSERT or UPDATE is required for that row.
Few links that would explain this better

  • Can any body guide me what exactly there in SAP Data Center

    SAP Data Center

My thoughts on IFRS and how technology can be influenced to address the compliance.
The whole topic starts from the basic need of presenting financial statements to compliance authorities like SEC. In the US context, these statements are prepared in accordance with US GAAP. This is more a rule based compared to a principle based IFRS. The requirement in the near future would be to prepare financial statements based on IFRS. There are several areas where IFRS differs from US GAAP. First we need to know all these differences that impact a public organization. Only upon ascertaining the differing areas, can an organization address preparing financial statements per IFRS.
So, typically, there would be an overlapping period when financial statement need to be prepared per both the standards before it becomes mandatory. In order to accommodate these, SAP broadly has to options, either to have a separate ledger or separate accounts.  In the separate accounts method in a same single ledger, you can use those accounts that are common for US GAAP and IFRS. Create only those accounts that addresses IFRS specifics. These could be in a different number range and easily identifiable. With ECC6, you have the newGL feature, wherein you can have a leading ledger to address one set of standards and a non leading ledger for the other. Once an organization with the help of their auditors have scrutinized the differences, the decision to adopt could be easier.
The format of IFRS compliant financial statements are available through SAP's starter kit for IFRS. This kit can be integrated over and above the Busienssobjects Planning and Consolidation or Financial Consolidation.

  • What do exactly mean by 'document is lost' while filling setup table

    Hi ,
In various threads its mentioned that, while extraction of logistics data .. say sales billing document, the document is 'lost', if its posted/changed while filling setup table . Hence we need to have system downtime while filling setup table.  So my questions are as follows :
1)What exactly do u mean by 'Document is Lost'?  (I mean the document entries, will always be there in application tables ).
2)Suppose we have DSO in "Over Write" mode at first level (after datasource). Will we need system downtime for filling setup table?  (I read n some forum that overwrite mode DSO at first level eliminates the need for system downtime)
Please let me know your opinion on above questions

    Hi Mohit,
    1) If document created/changed during filling of setup tables, it will not be available in corresponding extract queue and therefore not be available for delta update. Right?
Sorry ,the answer is 'No' , because if you make any changes at the time of filling the set-up table, then those changes will be captured either in the set-up table or in the extraction queue and hence you will not miss any documents.Condition is ,you have to use 'Queued delta' .If you use 'Direct delta' then you miss the documents becasue of 'no' extraction queue .
All documents are permanently stored in your application tables(VBRK,VBRP etc) always , but at the time of filling the set-up tables these documents will be collected from the application tables and will be moved to set-up table and then the changes will be stored in the extraction queue. At the time of set-up table running,new/changed documents will be stored either in the set-up table or in the extraction queue .So if you follow the correct loading method, you will not miss any documents.
2)However these documents (changed/created during setup run) will be stored in application tables (VBRP & VBRK, in case of sales billing). Hence we can always retrieve consolidated list of such documents , by querying 'CREATED ON'/'CHANGED ON' fields of base tables. Then we can upload these consolidated records, via Full Repair Requests , to BI data targets. So documents are not permanently lost.
Yes. Antyime later you can retrieve the records even if you missed at the time of loading.
    Hope it clears your doubts.
    Thanks.

  • When extracting a page from a PDF, I lost nearly 1KB of data. What exactly is changing here?

I have a project in which I compile content from scanned documents. Usually I send the scans in packets of 15-50 pages at a time, and extract the pages (using Document > Extract Pages...) into a separate folder for compiling and tagging.
Sometimes, usually when starting a new document folder, I send only the title page. Usually I would simply move this single-page document into the appropriate folder, since extracting would do nothing but copy the entire file anyways.
However, one time out of habit, I extracted 'page 1 of 1' into the folder and found that one of the pages is 5.798MB while the extracted file is 5.797MB. Looking closely at the document there are light visual changes but otherwise nothing that would make me think the resolution or information has been reduced or damaged. Namely:
The original scan has a white border around it while the extracted scan does not. This border is not a pixel border or otherwise a part of the scan; zooming in or out, this border will always exist at 1px thickness.
Pixels in the original scan appear solidly square while it seems the borders are lightly blurred in the extracted. The color and size of the pixels has not changed, the literal boundary between two separate pixels is itself blurred (looking at the document at %3200 zoom).
What is this KB of data that suddenly disappears? And does this have some effect on the quality and content of the document, or is this some sort of visual issue otherwise unrelated to the extracting?
The project I have is archival in nature; while 1KB in a 5.8MB document is negligible, I would like to know where this information is disappearing to, and more importantly, whether this information loss could accumulate as documents are passed around over time.

Looking at the content box now, it just shows
    [filename].pdf
         Page 1
              Annotations
              XObject: Image w:[width] h:[height]
all of which seems to contain no properties or additional data. I might be missing something here that would tell me more about the information and content of the file but right now I don't see it.
EDIT: I should also note that the width and height does not change between images despite, say, the additional white border.

The remote lock locks the iphone with a passcode that you set. By remote wiping the device it will simply restore it and clear it of all its data, but by doing this it will prevent you tracking it and communicating with it (e.g. remote locking it) in the future

  • What exactly a data source is

What exactly a data source is? Is flat file a data source (while extracting from flat file)?

    Hi Ganesh,
A datasource is a group of fields whose data can be extracted to BW. Flat file is actually a source system.

You mean take the cover off of the iPhone, to look inside?  I'd recommend against it.  Even with warranty expired, you might qualify for an out-of-warranty service, which for 3GS is $149.
Other than that, any repair/service options are going to cost money.  You might want to see if a wireless carrier will let you get a new contract & phone.
Out of curiousity, you're just using at as, basically, an iPod Touch, if there's no cell provider?  Did I understand that correctly?
