When I try to download any app my phone says I need to sign in to verify and it takes me to a billing screen. Then it always says my security code is wrong, but it's not

MY iPhone won't let me download apps, it says I need to sign in and verify account payment options. Even for a free app and then it says my security code is wrong on my credit card! Ugh!! Help please!

Did you ever get this fixed? I started getting this same message yesterday when changing my card to a debit card that I had used previosuly for years. My last purchase was Saturday morning. Creating a new account results in the same message no matter whar card I try. They must flag accounts by computer ID for this to be happening.
I got a message stating that my problem has been handed to a senior advisor. I hate this wait especialy since I have had my account since 2003.

    What country are you from?
    1009 usually means your IP address originates in a country that does not have access to an App store.

    I would recommend taking a look at the troubleshooting steps found in the article below. Note: While the article is written for the iPhone, the majority of the troubleshooting steps below apply to the iPad as well.

    Will not turn on, will not turn on unless connected to power, or unexpected power off
    Verify that the Sleep/Wake button functions. If it does not function, inspect it for signs of damage. If the button is damaged or is not functioning when pressed, seek service.
    Check if a Liquid Contact Indicator (LCI) is activated or there are signs of corrosion. Learn about LCIsand corrosion.
    Connect the iPhone to the iPhone's USB power adapter and let it charge for at least ten minutes.
    After at least 30 minutes, if:
    The home screen appears: The iPhone should be working. Update to the latest version of iOS if necessary. Continue charging it until it is completely charged and you see this battery icon in the upper-right corner of the screen . Then unplug the phone from power. If it immediately turns off, seek service.
    The low-battery image appears, even after the phone has charged for at least 20 minutes: See "iPhone displays the low-battery image and is unresponsive" symptom in this article.
    Something other than the Home screen or Low Battery image appears, continue with this article for further troubleshooting steps.
    If the iPhone did not turn on, reset it while connected to the iPhone USB power adapter.

    Try resetting your iPad and start again, sometime that clears the problem

  • When I try to download any app, a message comes up saying that it couldn't download minecraft and 6 others, then it goes to download minecraft and then fails to, even though I haven't asked my iPad to do so.

    Whenever I try to download any application, a motification pops up saying, "Could not download Minecraft: Pocket Edition lite and 6 others". The application that I am attempting to download does then pop up and start installing but beside it the Minecraft lite app appears and then fails to download.     I'm having the exact same problem! It's rather annoying, I know. I haven't completely solved it yet, but a temporary solution is going to App Store > Purchases, find Minecraft - Pocket Edition lite, swipe it from left to right and tap hide. The problem should now be fixed. You can always unhide it using View Account and bring up the list of hidden purchases.
    I think the problem was caused by a temporary 'black out' of Minecraft (both lite and full), which made the app unavailable in the App Store for a short time and gave people who wanted to update the app the same message as you're getting right now.

    After you reset the password did you go to Settings>iTunes and App Stores and sign out and sign back in? You have to.

    Your current iOS (i.e. operating system) version is shown on the iPad in Settings > General > About > Version. If the app that you are trying to download needs a higher version than you have then you can update to the current version (only the current version is 'signed' by Apple) which is iOS 5.1 - you will need to connect the iPad to your computer's iTunes to do the update (when you have iOS 5+ installed then future updates can be donw directly on the iPad).

    Your iPod2G can only run iOS 4.2.1, looks like all updated apps don't support 4.2 anymore.

    I suspect you have a 2G iPod. Those can only go to iOS 4.2.1.

    Is the address on your iTunes account exactly the same (format and spacing etc) as on your credit card bill : http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1646 ? If it is then you could try what it says at the bottom of that page :
    If the issue persists, contact your credit card company and verify that they and any company they use to process credit card authorisations have the correct information on file.
