When syncing, i often do not get the current selections added or past selections deleted fom the ipod. any suggestions?

when i sync up my ipod, i select new songs to add and remove. although itunes on the computer says syncing, the songs are not put on or taken off. any help to fix this would be most appreciated.

as to date - that is an EXIF entry placed there by the camera (phone) and iPhoto just reads it so the cause is the phone recording it incorrectly somehow - you can export one to the desktop and look at the EXIF data using simple EXIF viewer - http://homepage.mac.com/aozer/EV/
As ro faces, iPhoto does not distinguish by camera - it processes photos - if the photos taken by one camera are acting differently from the photos taken by other cameras then again I would look to the camera - contact their support

I have a 27" iMac with the latest version of iTunes. I tried restoring my iPod and even removing and re-installing iTunes. I can click on the "upload photos/video" field and it takes me to Finder to select the photo - but on selecting the photo, the Finder screen disappears as normal but from then on nothing happens.

From your Safari menu bar click Safari > Preferences then select the Privacy tab.
Click: Remove All Website Data
Now empty the Safari cache.
Back to the menu bar, click Safari > Preferences then select the Advanced tab.
Select: Show Develop menu in menu bar
Now click Develop from the menu bar. From the drop down menu click Empty Caches.
Quit and relaunch Safari then try Facebook.
If that doesn't help, it may be a Safari extension preventing you from uploading content to Facebook.
From the Safari menu bar click Safari > Preferences then select the Extensions tab. Turn that OFF, quit and relaunch Safari to test.
If that helped, turn one extension on then quit and relaunch Safari to test until you find the incompatible extension then click uninstall.

When syncing my classic 160, I get the message "Unable to sync .....'s iPod. Required file cannot be found." It never gives a file name, so this is impossible to figure out. Any suggestions?

This seems to be a photo issue, as the music files seem to be synced currently, but the photos are missing, even though they show in the computer library, and the iPod shows them as being there (number, date shown), and even has the display space formatted, however, there are no images. You can select, but it gives a blank screen.

When you say you moved your iTunes library over how exactly did you do that? Typically I'd suggest that you download a clean version of iTunes from online, and then move over just the music files. Not any of the additional library relates files that are found in the iTunes folder. Yes you'll lose your playlists and song counts, but there are worse things in life.

I've forgotten my passcode and when trying to restore it I get "The iPod software update server could not be contacted"

I recently had my iPhone taken away from over-use so I thought I'd just use my iPod I haven't used in forever, when turning it on it said locked for 21 million minutes, so I checked out few videos, fix it on iTunes, and when I could access my iPod, my mind went complelty blank, so I checked out so more videos on what to do when fogetting your passcode, and I found you had to restore your iPod, which was fine by me because, I have maybe an app or two on it, so wiping everything out wouldn't be anything.. But, when I go to restore my iPod I get, like in the title, "The iPod software update server could not be contacted" any ideas on what to do?

Are you using the USB cable that came with the shuffle?
If you are using a USB hub as connection point, try connecting it directly to a USB port on computer. If there are other USB devices connected at the same time, you may want to try it with only the shuffle connected (except for standard keyboard and mouse).

have you tried to sync your ipod ,when you click on the side where it shows your ipod?
Click on where it shows your ipod name for example garys ipod,when it opens up the summary page click the sync box,bottom right,and see if that helps.
In the summary page click on podcasts,click the box on sync podcast box (top),read before when the box opens and says are you sure you want sync podcasts.,theres a box underneath,which says automatically include ,make sure thats ticked.

Recently got a new iPod Touch 4th gen; I had previously backed up to iCloud and subscribed to iTunes Match, and then wound up syncing the new iPod to my MacBook Pro; all iCloud tunes were downloaded to Mac but won't all sync to the iPod after multiple attempts, despite all songs showing properly on the Mac and multiple syncs occurring after all songs were properly reflected on the Mac. I updated iTunes Match from the iTunes Store menu as well pre-sync.
I should mention that I had previously had the library on a Dell (which is still running) and shared it on my home network. While all iTunes purchases now show in the Dell, the Mac is the device I use for all syncs.
There appears to be no rhyme or reason to the iCloud physical sync failure - some songs were legacy, some were purchased via the PC, some on the old iPod.
The Mac shows all the songs correctly and none show iCloud status -all have been downloaded, but the downloaded songs that were previously showing up as iCloud based aren't syncing to the iPod.
Is there any way to force all music being seen by my iPod as iCloud to download to so I can listen to them offline? Is there a way to force the sync from iTunes?

The "system" performed as designed. All devices syncing to one iCloud account are kept in common sync. The idea is that all such devices belong to one user. Different users should have different iCloud accounts. Once your contacts were edited, all devices were updated as well and subsequent backups (from yours and her device) reflected the changed contacts (and any other data that may have been edited like calendars). Your first task is to change your daughter over to a new account before she makes other changes.
The only way I see for getting back contacts is to restore them from a time machine backup, assuming you also have a Mac included in the account which syncs the contacts. However, I'm not sure whether time machine includes contacts from iCloud along with those that are local, "on my Mac".
Otherwise the deleted contacts are gone.

Mirroring is only available on iPhone 4S and iPad (Gen 2 and 3). In regards to airplay (which is a separate feature to mirroring), not all apps are enabled and this is up to the developer.
