Where attachments are filtered?

Hello! I have Exchange organization with edge server in DMZ. Users was complaining about blocking encrypted zip attachments in inbound mail. I disabled attachment filtering agent at edge server and problem seems to be resolved. Then i had decided to check
whether .ps1 and other scripts attachment are still blocked and found that they are. So the question is: what agent, or what else and where blocks scripts in emails?

Yes, even if the Edge server does not block them, Outlook/OWA will simply not open them.
(Moreover, Powershell scripts will not run if you click on them - unlike a .bat or .vbs file - and will not even run at the command line unless you change the execution policy.)

  • Maverick Mail - How to have default where attachments are "View as Icons", and not to display entire document

    When I attach files to Mail 7.3 it often displays the entire file, not the icon. I find this highly annoying. Yes, I can one-by-one right click on the document and instruct Mac to send the file as in icon only. But I would prefer Mavericks Mail to default to a convention where all attachments are icons, not viewable docs.
    Any fix for this?

    try this:
    Open a Terminal window.
    Type this (it must be exact):    defaults write com.apple.mail DisableInlineAttachmentViewing -bool yes
    hit return
    restart mail.

  • Attachments are not Visible in iphone

    Hi,
    I am using Iphone 5 and Ipad Air with IOS 7.04. I have receieved a E-mail with Microsoft Word document attached. In the Inbox View I can see a Paperclip next to the message indicating an attachment. But after opening the E-mail, I am not able to find the Attachment. not the content of the attachment is shown as inline. The very same mail, while opening on Microsot outlook 2013 , the Attachment is visible.
    This strange behaviour is only for some e-mails. I suspect the emails where Attachments are inserted inline.
    Kindly suggest steps to resolve the issue.

    Hello Ralph,
    I'm afraid that you will have to do it all over again if you use the webdynpro UI. Workcenters are nothing to do with the CRM UI and thus the note 1357657 is not applicable.
    If you've already worked with the EEWB thus the data structures are already available then if you want to add a similar tab in the workcenter UI you will have to do a webdynpro component enhancement.

  • Attachments are missing in form later when you view the form

    Hi All,
    we have developed the application with webdynpro java with adobe interactive forms, we have implemented adding attachment to adobe form . I have two problems related to adobe attachments.
    1)  once files are attached to form and submitted the form data. Later when you view same form , if you look at the attachments . Files are available. But in the same webdynpro form where the adobe form is rendering has back button.
    Once you click on the back button and again if you display the same adobe form and try to look at the attachments. But attachments are missing. the attachments not able to see till i close that browser and open the the application in new browser. Some thing causing the issue click on back button and try to revisit the same adobe form to see the attachments in file.
    2) Another problem is  file names with attachments. once files are attached to form and submitted the form data. Later when you view same form again attachments are missing. In case, if any of the file name have the special characters like " %, $, &". for example if i attached three files to form , but only one of the file names has the special characters, then the whole three files are missing when you look at the attachments in the form.
    Please let me know what could be the issue. How to resolve it.
    One quick solution for the 2nd problem is , Prompting the user with warning message, while attaching any files to form have the special characters to file name.  what is the logic need to be write, where need to write.

    How i will add the attachments to the form means, we have online forms for submit the data , while submitting the data , all the relevant documents or files  related to request will be attached to the adobe form , click on  attache icon available in adobe form.

  • Making a form where attachments must be included

    Hi
    I need to make a fillable form where when the person is done they must attach certain files before they can submit the form. I would like a checklist where they tick the box, example Certified ID and they can browse to the file on their computer and it is added to the form as an attachment. The most important part is that the form cannot be submitted unless all the attachments are added. I am not even sure if this is possible with Adobe. I am using Adobe Acrobat Pro X on Windows 7.
    Please if anyone knows how to do this, let me know. Thank you

    I am really new to this, so could please tell me step for step how to do this? Or atleast tell me where I can find a manual or something. It does not have to be with the adobe reader. I just recently discovered that you can make fillable forms that go to a database. If there is an easier way to it or a different program I am happy to learn.
    Let me tell you what exactly I want then maybe you have a better way of doing this. (Like I said I am still learning.)
    I work for a University and we want students to apply for bursaries online, to minimize paperwork and to reduce the actual students that have to come into the office. We recently had a "test run" with a fillable form that they had to submit, which worked (I received the emails and added it to the database manually, instead of working through the Adobe server.) We want to expand on this way of submitting applications, but now we need certain documents to be submitted with the application. An copy of their ID, their academic record etc. At this point we are really just testing if this could be they way forward if I can put it that way.
    Also if a student submits the form, is there a way that they can get an confirmation that it was submitted to the database?(Without being able to see other students information) This will minimize our enquiries.

  • BESX SP3 MR6 - Email attachments are now ALWAYS Auto-download - not good with duplicate attachment names

    Does anybody else see where email attachments are now always auto-download on all devices. The policy option was phased out in 5.0 but the default at that time was no (to auto-download). Now they all auto-download.
    1. PDF will not display because they must stay as attachment to render on Blackberry device. Says
    “This attachment type cannot be viewed on your device”
    2. Phone messages attached as voicemail.wav - first one works, but since no longer the "Preview" option second says "Fielname exists - Rename?" Some devcies you can save and go back - others you can't.

    Surely there's an expert on this forum who can help?

  • Incoming mail attachments are getting corrupted.

    I have a MacBook Pro that I just bought about a week ago. Most current OS and everything is up to date. Using the default mail client, all incoming attachments are somehow corrupted. PDFs throw an error saying the document appears to be empty. Word documents open, but actually are empty. When I grab the mail attachments via the web client (GMail), they are fine. They also work fine on Thunderbird on my Windows netbook. Any ideas?

    This support area is really for the MacBook Pro hardware.  I would suggest you go to the Mail.app discussion where there are really good experts on your issues.  I'm sure you'll get a fast answer there.  Also, you might want to do a search of the communities for your problem.  I see lots of hits for corrupted attachments, but since I don't know your exact problem, I can't tell you which has the best answer.

  • Interactive Report - How does it build the where claue when filtering data?

    I am curious how APEX builds the where clause when users add filters or does APEX simply filter the data?
    The reason I am asking, is for performance reasons, we have used inner selects to retrieve columns vs. using outer joins. However, I am just curious if we will suffer doing so when users add filters on these columns.
    Below are some details about our report:
    We have a report where we are joining many tables (25 tables) together. Initially, we created the report with outer joins and noticed that the cost of the explain plan was 2600 and the performance was marginal. We then started to remove the outer joins and replacing with inner selects and the cost and performance of the report improved. Currently, we have replaced 13 of the outer joins with inner selects and the cost is down to 650 and the performance is better.
    Below are examples:
    -- Using Outer Joins
    Select q.quote_id, q.quote_name, l.location_name, sr.sales_rep_name

    If you switch on debug in Apex developer toolbar you can see the effect of user built filters on the sql that is actually executed for report.

    I need to make sure that one where clause filtering is applied before the other. How do I do that?

  • Jpg attachments are missing on e-mails

    Since I have installed Leopard, my jpg attachments are missing on some e-mails.
    The picture is there, but the paperclip is missing
    If I send a PDF file or any other file it is working ok

    I have seen the same problem. Some times the jpg seems to be missing. What I have been doing is to save the jpg to the desk top. Even though I could not see it I knew it was there. The subject made reference to the attached picture or some such. As it will save it had to have been there some where. If I want to forward this e-mail I just reattach the jpg that I saved to the desk to. I tried just forwarding the e-mail but the jpg (attachment or whatever) did get transmitted.

  • "C" drive & Profile crash-so all attachments are in crashed profile? Just want to make sure?

    1-had C drive crash a few days ago and am rebuilding on new C drive > NEW copy of TB 24.6.0
    2-Had Local Folders on a separate drive > in Tools – Account Settings – Local Folders > set to previous location
    3-After studying many support responses is it correct that the actual attachments are still in the Profile on the crashed "C" drive?
    4-Searched all drives on "new" system and found no "Profile" or "*.mbox" files - where are they?
    Just want to make sure cause the mozmsgs/wdseml on the "separate drive" only have message text when imported. If this is TRUE then I've got to focus my effort on recovering the Profile from the crashed disk. Yes, I did not have a backup - my bad for sure.

    In Thunderbird, messages are stored as they are received, along with all headers and all attachments.
    In your profile, there will be folders with no extension, such as ''Inbox''. These are mailbox files. Each has an accompanying index file, in this example ''Inbox.msf''. You don't need the msf files.
    The profile folder is hidden, so to find it you'll need to enable displaying of hidden files.
    mozmsgs is provided just to make the message contents available to Windows' searching mechanisms, so these files are not important to your restoration task.
    I really don't like the business of setting mail account folder locations using the Local Directory option. It removes the particular folder from your profile and makes maintenance very much harder, since now only ''you'' will know where the re-located data lives. None of the usual techniques or tools for working with profiles will work with the detached data.

  • Where to check filtered IDOCs

    Hi all,
    I have a small doubt,  i created a distribution model for the message type j3agri & setup the filter for grid type to 'M'. I created two idocs one with grid type as 'S' & another one as 'M'.  When i posted idocs, both are at status 03 and none changed to status 12. 
    How come, the IDOC status went to 3 for the grid type 'S' when i trying to filter it.
    Can anyone tell me is there any way to find out which IDOCs are filtered from sending system?

    There are two filtering in IDoc.
    <b>Segment Filtering</b>:
    Segment filtering can be achieved using T/Code<b> BD56</b>. Here you can suppress a whole segment irrespective of data inside it . You have to give Message Type / Sender Prrtner / Receiver Partner.
    <b>Data Filtering</b>:
    Data filtering can be done in dustribution model where you can restrict whole IDOCS or partials IDOCS to be send based on data in fields inside IDOC depending on whether the segment in which you filter is at the highest level or at a lower level. For example in MATMAS if you put a filter of E1MARCM for a particular plant , only data for this plant will go and other plants will be ignored.

    sy-tabix is in Internal table, current line index. So it can only be used while looping at the internal table.
    sy-index is in Loops, number of current pass. This you can use in other loop statements also (like do-enddo loop, while-endwhile)
    SY-INDEX is a counter for following loops: do...enddo, while..endwhile
    SY-TABIX is a counter for LOOP...ENDLOOP, READ TABLE...
    Here is an example from which you can understand the difference between sy-tabix and sy-index.
    Itab is an internal table with the following data in it.
    id Name
    198 XYZ
    475 ABC
    545 PQR.
    loop at itab where id > 300.
    write :/ itab-id, itab-name , sy-tabix, sy-index.
    endloop.
    My output will be :
    475 ABC 2 1
    545 PQR 3 2
    Sy-tabix is the index of the record in internal table.
    sy-index gives the no of times of loop passes.
    So, for the first record in the output (475 ABC), 2 is the index of the record in internal table and as it is first time loop pass occured, sy-index value is 1.
