Where to configure which stock type to post in a movement type?

Hi,
As we know , when we carry out a posting with a movement type, e.g. mvt. typ. 261, system will automatically post to unrestricted-use stock. And if mvt.typ. 331, system will post to QI stock.
I'd like to ask where to configure movement type to let it know which kind of stock type(not special stock, like E,K,etc.) to post.
i.e. if I create a new mvt. typ. , where can i set it to post to unrestricted-use , QI or Blocked stock?
I can find T156M-BUSTM and T156M-ZUSTD are relevant to stock type posting, but i don't know where to connect these fields to movement types.

Hi,
Normally there will be two types of moments available broadly.Material inflow and material outflow moments.During outflows we tell the system to take the stocks from which stock type and storage location and during inflows we tell to post to which stock type and sorage location.
The moment type 261 is a issue against an order and which has always to be from unrestricted .
and 331 is to issue towards stock to Quality inspection.
During inflows we can tell to the system through material master,vendor,or purchasing document to get posted to which stock.
For outflows system always takes from unrestricted and issues and if there is no stock in the storage location unrestricted , system provides a error message.
But however you can create a moment type at SPROMMIMMoment typescreate (OMJJ).

BORGR 649 error message while posting with 105 mov type

Hi Gurus,
I faced a problem when I try to post with 105 mov type, when material doc is related to Inbound delivery.
Explained better:
I did a purchase order with inbound delivery confirmation.
I carried out Good Receipt (related to Inb delievery) with mov type 103 (blocked stock from PO)
When I try to post stock with 105 mov type, the following error appear:
"Movement type 105 not allowed as it is not assigned to item category"
Msg ID: BORGR
Msg no: 649
I already checked delivery item category configuration, movement types involved and transactions allowed for each mov types.
Take care that the error mentioned doesn't occur if posting is related directly to purchase order, instead of inbound delivery..

Hi Sandra_PF
in the inbound delivery the mov type is not 105, but 101 (correct, it's the default value for Inb delivery)
With transaction MIGO I do 2 different operations (in 2 different moments):
1°) Good Receipt referred to Inbound delivery (103 mov type - Blocked stock from PO)
2°) Stock posting with 105 mov type, to transfer stock from Blocked to Unrestricted
Here the system notice me that is not possible, because the mov type 105 is not assigned to the delivery inboud category.
Please note that we did the same thing in another system with the same configuration, without any problems..

Posting with MM Movement Type 309 material to material: Error in WM

Hello,
i post an MM-Movement type (Bewegungsart) 309 (material to material).
The MM-goods movement works, but then in warehouse mangagement there is a problem:
The creation of the transfer order (Transportauftrag) stops in many cases.
The aim is to post Material A to the same storage bin in Warehouse Management where Material B was before.
I programmed this in user-exit (ZXLToU03) that by movement type 309, always taking same storage bin. But then I often get the error: transfer order could not be created. Then I have to do the creation of tranfer order in foreground and then I get an error like this:
capacity of the bin location is not enough.
The Problem is that I do a posting for example:
001 010101 to 922 Umbuchungzone --> Transfer order Pos 1
922 Umbuchungszone to 001 010101 --> Transfer order Pos 2.
And so the first transfer order position is not confirmed when I do the transfer order Pos 2.
How can I confirm Pos 1 by batch-input? The Programm to do 309 should posting 1000 materials in one step. But in Warehouse management I get those problems?
Is it possible to increase the capacitiy of the storage bin and then decrease it after creation of transfer order(where can I do this and when)???

I donu2019t think it is necessary to use a user exit to keep the Material B (that is transferred from Material A) in the same bin.
This can be controlled in the customizing: indicator Post to same bin, that can be set in the WM Movement type (V_T333-KZUAP) and in the Storage type (V_T3010-KZUAP).
Now I donu2019t know your business process but I am surprised that Material B requires more space than Material A since it is u2018bornu2019 by means of a transfer posting and not a production or packing step that makes it bigger in terms of capacity required.
A workaround for this could be to transfer (LT10) Material A first to a separate Storage type (with the Post to same bin-flag set) that has no Capacity check and after the 309 posting transfer it back into the warehouse with LT10.

Post with 561 movement type without affecting MAP

Hi all,
I have a scenario for Raw Material with Moving Average Price.
When posting inventory with movement type 561 we are able to enter the Amount in LC. I have set the value here as 0.01 but once I post the document the Moving Average Price in MM03 changes with respect to this value.
I would like to ask is there any way to book stock into inventory without affecting the Moving Average Price.

Do not enter any external value, just post the quantity, and SAP will not change the MAP.
But of course your stock value will increase by 500 x 1,5
there is NO WAY to post a quantity of 500 with no value for a valuated stock managed material and keeping the MAP uneffected.
if you post with value, then the MAP keeps constant but your total stock value goes up.
if you post with zero value, then the MAP goes down.
OF course you can then change the MAP again with MR21, this will create the next accounting document then.

Movement type and its sub sequencing movement types

please help with configuration behind below scenario,
When I do goods reversal with 262 movement in MIGO, the material is going under quality stock. when I looked the detailed goods movement, it is showing two other documents created with movement type 322 along with 262 movement type document. WM functionality is activated for this material.

262 is the reversal movement for 261
both movements can only work with unrestricted use stock
322 is the reversal of 321 and posts an unrestricted use stock into quality stock
the 322 is not conected to 262. and does not have any reference to 262
if those movements really come together in your system, then I think this is because of an own developement

Stock Transfer for Excisable Materials Using Movement Type 301

Hi,
We are having a Plant 1002 as excisable Materials.
During GR we following the process like GR (Part -I), Capture Invoice, Post Invoice.
Can we transfer the Material from Plant 1002 to other Plant, say 1001, using Movement Type 301?
Or we need to follow some other router for Stock Transfer for the Excisable Materials?
I was told by the ex-consultant that we would be using Mov Type 301 for all Stock Transfers, but I have a doubt, please guide.*

Here in Brazil we work with excisable material and when we have to transfer it plant to plant, we have to use IVA that performs tax posts on accounting document. Also, we have to create Nota Fiscal (BrazillianLegal Document).
I think you have to talk to your legal/accounting area in order to make sure which procedure you will have to use.
If you need tax posting on accounting document, then you will not be able to use 301 movement type.
We use MM/SD Plant to Plant transfer (movement type 861 / 862)
Depending on your Legal/accounting area feed back, you could use this scenario or just MM plant to plant transfer (movement type 303/305).
If they are ok with no tax postings on accounting document, then 301 movement type should be used.
Try to make a test, show then how it works, then you could get ok from then

How to post reason code/movement type from MM to FI document?

Have had a request from our Finance guy here that when a movement is posted in MM (eg a scrapping), the reason code and movement type are to go onto the FI document when the movement is posted to the GL accounts. These values are to be viewed from FBL3N.
He thinks it might need to be done with substitutions but I have had no experience in this area and he has no idea how to go about it. I have extended the COBL structure using OKX3 which has put the field into BSEG but have no idea how to go about doing the substitution or which exit to use. Inaddition in SAP standard, MSEG passes the movememnt type tyo COBL field BWART but then this seems to get voided.
Can anyone help me?

Authorization check for posting a specified movement type on certain plant

How do I implement it, do I need to create a authorization object with ACTVT, WERKS and BWART, what will be value of ACTVT in this case?

Auto print of Goods Issue/Transfer Posting Documents by Movement type

Hi,
We have created two different output types to print the layout's of Goods Issue/Transfer Posting Documents.
The requirement is to default the message in the document by movement type (key combination)
Meaning if it is 201 it should populate GI output type
If it is 313 it should populate TP output type.
we do not have any standard key combination (NACR) by movement type wise.
Any alternative way of meeting this requirement?

Movement Types - how to change determined Movement Types in Delivery Creati

Is there any way "material movement type" can be changed once its been determined in the delivery, or durin delivery creation (after creating the sales order)
is it possible to override the material movement type creation, (apart from the control which we get by the schedule item category field).
Is there any way to change the material movement type in a deliver document ?

That could be correct. If all the conditions are known at the time of sales order then you can try and use the MV45AFZZ and form to move data into VBEP and move a different schedule line category that has a different movement type. Please check this option and it would work. We used it in a couple of situations in our client here. You need to configure and assign the schedule line category as manual one in the config.

Storage location is not updated after posting GR with Mvt type 107(Valuated GR blocked stock)

Hi experts,
Before posting GR through Movement type 107 (valuated GR blocked stock) we can see the storage location field in MIGO screen and able to enter value into this field. But after posting GR when we retrieve the material document we are finding that the field (storage location) is blank, i.e. it's not updated at all. When we check the stock in MMBE we find that no quantity is updated for valuated GR blocked stock.
We want the storage location to be updated while posting GR with 107 Mvt type.
Any idea Please?

SAP describes it in help.sap.com: Since the material is not to be added to the inventory yet, do not enter a storage location.
If you require a storage location, then I assume that your design does not match with the design of SAP, you are using a function to solve a gap which is not foreseen by SAP for this case.
Especially the 107 is usually representing stock which is still in transfer but you are already the legal owner and have to show the value of those goods in your books.

In your return order schedule line category DN (DN is the schedule line category of the return order in standard ) you need assign movement type 655
If you assign movement type 655 when you do PGR for the return delivery, stocks will sit in Quality inspection directly
653 will move stocks directly to unrestricted (Strictly not advisable)
651 will move stocks to blocked customer returns (recommended by SAP)

Bapi/function module to get opening or closing stock for a posting date

I am creating a report where i need to get the opening stock value and closing stock value for the given starting date and ending date respectively for the PP report.
The T-code for that is MB5B.
So,can any1 plzz tell me how i can get the stock value for a starting date/ending date...
Is there any BAPI or function module to find this out..
or any logic?

You would like to findout opening and closing stock of a particular period and of a particular period....
If we would like to findout opening and closing stock of material A as of 18 / 8 / 2008,
then do like this.
go to MBEW table .. there u get opening stock as on today. Today the date is 20/8/2008. from today's opening stock if we add / subtract the movements which have happened on 19/8/2008 and 18/8/2008 u'll get opening and closing stock as on 18/8/2008.
U get the movements from MKPF ( material doc header) and MSEG (material doc item ) based on posting date. In MSEG u get movement type.
If the movement type is 101, it means the stock is added.
If the movement type is 102, it means the added stock is reversed.
from today's opening stock deduct the stock with moverment type 101 and add the stock with movement type 102.
This will give u opening stock as on 18/8/2008.
To get closing stock of 18/8/2008 ..... the opening stock of 19/8/2008 is 18/8/2008's closing stock.
