Which DVCPRO HD setting to choose?

Hey,
I shot my film at 30fps and am confused on which DVCPRO HD set-up to choose from. 720p30?? 1080i60?? 1080pA24?? Some advice would be much appreciated.

I just shot a music video with the BMCC using apple ProRes format and want to import them into Adobe Premiere Pro CS 5.5.
I am not sure which sequence pre sets to choose from when I am at the New Sequence box at the begining.
Anyone know's which pre sets to choose from?

Welcome to the forum!
Here is what I would do:
Click "Cancel" and do not choose a Sequence Preset just yet.
Premiere Pro opens.
Import clips.
Drag one of the clips to the New Item button at the bottom of the Project panel.
A new sequence matching the settings of the clip is created.
Continue editing in that sequence.

Which Field Dominance setting in Compressor?

Hello,
Which Field Dominance setting should I choose in Compressor, given that I shot on DV in progressive mode, and have rendered and exported to uncompressed 8-bit 4:2:2? (The Field Dominance alternatives in Compressor are: "Top First", "Bottom First", "Progressive", and "Automatic".)
I am confused by this because in FCP, I believe that the correct Field Dominance setting is "Lower (Even)" (not "Progressive"), since in DV format, images are stored one field after another, even if pairs of fields were captured simultaneously, i.e. even if the camera was used in "progressive mode".
But precisely because pairs of fields were captured simultaneously when I shot in progressive mode, I suspect that the correct Field Dominance setting in Compressor is "Progressive". But perhaps I'm wrong(?).
Would someone please enlighten me?

For 1080i50, you should leave field dominance at Upper. The sequence field dominance (field order is a more accurate term) should be the same as that of the source footage. Stick to that rule and you'll be OK. For progressive sources it's None. For interlaced HD format sources, it's Upper. For SD interlaced sources it's Lower.
Now, in the case of 1080p25...it's progressive, but it can be carried on a 1080i50 timeline with no ill effects EXCEPT that transitions, moving titles, and perhaps certain other effects will render with the normal interlacing of the sequence format. The fix is to change the sequence field dom setting to None. Hope that makes sense.

You need to use Apple's iForgot service or contact their Account Security team.

I hav one stored procedure (one parameter) which returns a result set. Can we use this stored procedure in OBIEE? If so, how we hav to use.
I know we hav the Evaluate function but not sure whether I can use for my SP which returns result set. Is there any other way where I can use my SP?

Hi Radha,
If you want to cache the results in the Oracle BI Server, you should check that option. When you run a query the Oracle BI Server will get its results from the cache, based on the persistence time you define. If the cache is expired, the Oracle BI Server will go to the database to get the results.
If you want to use caching, you should enable caching in the nqsconfig.ini file.

One way of doing this is to use either a ring or enum where the strings
presented to the user are "1", "10", or whatever you like. On the
diagram, the values will be 0, 1, 2, in a compact counting sequence.
Then do an array index into a constant. If this is done more than one
place, make the control a typedef so you can keep them consistent an

make the index be done in a subVI. Then whenever you need this, you
drop the control and the subVI, out comes the integer, float, or
whatever it is you want to index.

Maverick install is asking for an admin password which I never set up to begin with.

I got to the same problem, because I have'nt an idea about my administrator password.
So I did reboot with command + R, then open Terminal, then define an administrator Kennword, then restart with pull down menu.
Restarting and opening the user ...(Systemeinstellung;Benutzer) the new setted password works, it is, it can be used to unlock user administration. But willing to start Maverick.....it does not work.
So at this time no Maverick....
Has any one a clue about what has to be done?

Optimizer_mode set to CHOOSE in Oracle 10G

I a bit confused about the new settings for the parameter "optimizer_mode" on 10G. If the parameter is set to CHOOSE on a 10G database, what value is the database actually using since CHOOSE is no longer a valid choice for this parameter (ALL_ROWS or FIRST_ROWS) ?

I want export one database user which have character set in WE8MSWIN1252 and I want to Import that Database user in oracle which have character set AL32UTF8 without changing character set.
is there any argument in import command??

There's no problem, export and import will take care of character set conversions, the only problem is AL32UTF8 is a variable size character set, if 'ñ' uses 1 byte in WE8MSWIN1252, in AL32UTF8 it will use 2 bytes, so it's recommended to pre-create the tables with "char" instead of "byte": create table xxx ( col1 varchar2(100 char), ... )

Container which can be set invisible

i'm searching for a container which can be set invisible. Inside the container all elements (matri, button, text, input) should
be invisible. So, i don't want to bind an attribute to every element, instead of this i want a superior element for controlling this.
In WD ABAP there is a transparen container element to do this, is there any similar in BSP?

I've found a way:
I've created a page fragment with all elements which should be switched visible/invisible
This fragment is called in this piece of code:

That's working fine! When using visible="FALSE" for tabStrip, the elements don't exist at all (Same problem as wiht suggested IF/ENDIF solution)

You can create item inside your LOV region, set the item style to formValue. You can associate this to a View Object field. It can also act as mirror of any other text input field.
FormValue can hold the value and will not be diaplyed to user. You can read value from it controller
example
OAFormValueBean orgValue = (OAFormValueBean)webBean.findChildRecursive("OrgIdFormVal");
Or you can read it fro the VO associated with this form value.

Which are the setting values for the Virtual CTI Driver? (Siebel Communica)

hi everybody,
the application I'm using is Siebel Communications 8.1.
I am learning about integration processes with the Siebel Communications Server Administration Guide. One of the points or topics there is the use of the Virtual CTI to integrate your Siebel Business Applications with Oracle Contact Center Anywhere (as in the bookshelf described).
I've read, with this driver agents can access communications functionality using the communications toolbar.
The Virtual CTI is a driver provided by Oracle. You can't see it listed on the Administration -> Communications ----> Communications Drivers and Profiles. So I guess it is important to add this driver to the list.
I have questions about that:
1. Should I add this driver to the list? or when can I do that?
2. Which are the setting values for the mentioned driver?
- Communications Channel?
- Inbound Yes
- Outbound Yes
- Interactive
- Channel string
- Library name
Could anybody help me? I would appreciate that.
