Who will be taking their phones back with in 30 days????

Just curious to know for those of you that have ip4's with problems will take your phone back close to the 30 days if a software fix is not issued before?????
I have been through many ip4's all experiencing some sort of problem. I am 80% happy with this newest one only because the battery has lasted so much better than any other phone BUT that could be because now I have 3G off when not using internet , location turned off, Screen Brightness to %50 with auto brightness on....all these things seemed to really make a big difference.
My usage is 6:05 hours
Standby 2 days 14 hours
16% battery left.
For this reason I am way more happy-er but Proximity sensor is wack and today been dropping calls, auto dial and muted calls...frustrating when you are using the phone for a business line like my self.
Anyways I am holding out until I have 1 day left before my 30 are up and if they do not release a software fix for antenna,sensor and camera this phone will be headed back to apple for a full refund and this time I will wait until they can own up to their mistakes and fix it or I will be back on the 3G until ip5 a re-design.........
Just wondering how many folks here are thinking the same or will keep it with problems....???

I was updating to IOS 8 thru iTunes on my 4S and it came unplugged. Now it wants me to restore settings. Is there a way to undo this and get 'old' phone back with all of my info/pics/contacts/etc?

I was updating to the IOS 8 thru ITunes on my 4S when it came unplugged from the computer (dumb dog). Now the phone just has an image of plugging in to the ITunes icon and when I plug it in it says its in recovery mode and needs to be restored to original settings and I will lose all of my contacts/photos/etc. Is there a way to reverse this and just get my 'old' phone back with all of my stuff? I only have the free ICloud storage so I know most of my stuff will be lost. Yes I know..,hindsight is 20/20 on buying the backup. Help please!

In short. No, you cannot unsync. If you had a back up from your old iPhone you cand restore from a back up.
In iTunes go to Edit > Preferences > Devices > and select the latest back up.
Before you synced your phone did you have it set up with the PhotoStream or iCloud? The pictures would be saved there. Or if you had them sync to a file on your computer.

You need to enable the display for metadata in Browser and Viewer.
There are several places how whereyou can turn it on; for example, from the main menu bar "view" menu:
View > Metadata display > Viewer > Show Metadata
View > Metadata display > Browser > Show Metadata
You need to configure the Metadata shown in these overlays.
Use
View > Metadata display > Browser > Customize
Enable all tags you want in the left column of this panel. The "keyword" are enabled in the "Content" section of the left colum.

Has anyone who ordered actually received their phone(s) yet?

It doesn't seem like the phones are even shipping out to those who have ordered them. I ordered on the 29th of September and I have a placeholder "expected shipping date" of October 31st. It doesn't look good on my end seeing as people who pre-ordered still haven't received their phones yet. Is there any other way to get a more accurate idea of where my order is and when I will actually receive my phones? The one line synopsis on the order tracking page just isn't enough.

Agreed. I ordered two phones the 25th and I've seen minimal movement. All that has happened for me is my recent orders now shows the products I ordered. Very frustrating. I will never order from Verizon again when local stores, along with Apple, have my phones in stock. It's all about sales!

If I am sending my iPhone in for a warranty exchange, due to software issues. Will they send my phone back if it has scratches?

I thought that I heard, if you send in your iphone for a warranty exchange they would send it back for it having some little bumps and bruises. Let me know your experiences.

Only Apple can say for certain. As no one here works for Apple we would only be speculating.
Also, Apple does not repair iDevices (with the exception of replacing batteries or screens on the 5/5S), it will be replaced if they determine the issue is a warranty issue.

HT5312 this support is rubbish, there is no way of getting your security questions back with a recovery email!!!! dont waste 3 hours like i did.

Start here (change country if necessary) and navigate to 'Password and Security', reset your security questions using the link provided, you will receive an email to your rescue address, use the link in the email and reset your security questions.
If that doesn't help, you don't receive a reset email or you don't have a rescue address, you should contact AppleCare who will initially try to assist you with a reset email or if unsuccessful will pass you to the security team to reset your security questions for you.

You should not have an issues with removing accounts and messing with others users backup. As long as you are not removing the main account that is yours that you use for back up, everything will be fine.

Once the Device is asking to be Restored with iTunes... it is too late to save anything...
To minimise loss... Connect to iTunes on the computer you Usually Sync with and Restore from the most recent Backup...

Download them to iTunes abd then sync the apps. Make an appointment with Apple and see what the problem is.
