Why does application manager only shows me CS6 version of the apps? How do install the CC versions?

Everything in the Adobe site leads me to believe that the CC versions of the aplications are the current versions, however, when I open application manager, I only see the CS6 versions. Do I have to uninstall something and then reinstal? What do I do to install the CC versions?

The Creative Cloud versions will not be available until June 17th.  Please see the following related discussions.

  • Why does Startup Manager only show Recovery HD and not my other drives like Macintosh HD and my USB drive?

I'm not really sure what happened to my Mac but when I start it, it only shows Recovery HD and nothing else.  I tried re-installing Mountain Lion through my Apple ID but it states that I have not purchased it and will not let me proceed.  I have bought a usb drive that has Mountain Lion, since I cannot purchase it in the apple store, on it to install it from there but I cannot boot into my USB because it only shows "Recovery HD" in Startup Manager.  I would really appreciate some input from you all, thank you for your time in advance.

Either your drive is failing or has been corrupted. Please try the following. You cannot do the following unless you have purchased Lion or later. From your post that's not clear. Without knowing your exact model I cannot tell you what to do.
Reinstall Lion, Mountain Lion, or Mavericks without erasing drive
    Boot to the Recovery HD:
Restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the COMMAND and R keys until the menu screen appears. Alternatively, restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the OPTION key until the boot manager screen appears. Select the Recovery HD and click on the downward pointing arrow button.
    Repair
When the recovery menu appears select Disk Utility. After DU loads select your hard drive entry (mfgr.'s ID and drive size) from the the left side list.  In the DU status area you will see an entry for the S.M.A.R.T. status of the hard drive.  If it does not say "Verified" then the hard drive is failing or failed. (SMART status is not reported on external Firewire or USB drives.) If the drive is "Verified" then select your OS X volume from the list on the left (sub-entry below the drive entry,) click on the First Aid tab, then click on the Repair Disk button. If DU reports any errors that have been fixed, then re-run Repair Disk until no errors are reported. If no errors are reported then click on the Repair Permissions button. When the process is completed, then quit DU and return to the main menu.
Reinstall Lion, Mountain Lion, or Mavericks
OS X Mavericks- Reinstall OS X
OS X Mountain Lion- Reinstall OS X
OS X Lion- Reinstall Mac OS X
Note: You will need an active Internet connection. I suggest using Ethernet
if possible because it is three times faster than wireless.
If your computer is a 2010 or earlier model, then you should be able to do the following:
Reinstall OS X without erasing the drive
    1. Repair the Hard Drive and Permissions
Boot from your Snow Leopard Installer disc. After the installer loads select your language and click on the Continue button. When the menu bar appears select Disk Utility from the Utilities menu. If no errors are reported click on the Repair Permissions button. Wait until the operation completes, then quit DU and return to the installer.
If DU reports errors it cannot fix, then you will need Disk Warrior and/or Tech Tool Pro to repair the drive. If you don't have either of them or if neither of them can fix the drive, then you will need to reformat the drive and reinstall OS X.
    2. Reinstall Snow Leopard
If the drive is OK then quit DU and return to the installer.  Proceed with reinstalling OS X.  Note that the Snow Leopard installer will not erase your drive or disturb your files.  After installing a fresh copy of OS X the installer will move your Home folder, third-party applications, support items, and network preferences into the newly installed system.
Download and install Mac OS X 10.6.8 Update Combo v1.1.

  • Why does my ipod only show an apple and wont start up

Why does my Ipod only show an apple and wont do anything else>  And holding down the two buttons has done nothing!

    Try:
    - iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
    - If not successful and you can't fully turn the iPod fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
    - If still not successful that indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

  • Why does Application Manager show up in Japanese?

I have been having problems with the Application Manager always showing up in Japanaese making it very hard for this English speaker to figure out what I'm trying to download. I have tried re-installing the software to no avail.
This is on a MacBook Air running 10.8.2 Mountain Lion.
Any thoughts on how to fix this so that I can download applications?

  • Application manager only shows 12 apps

    Greetings,
I have creative cloud for my work. I downloaded my desired app on my mac. I have a pc at home and I started downloading some apps there, but was interrupted so I ended up not downloading them at home, my goal was to download pc versions overnight, I figured I could just copy the downloaded files to a flash drive and then take them to work and install/activate at work. On my work pc now, app manager only shows 12 apps, the ones that I started downloading on my home pc no longer show. on my mac, app manager indicates the apps that are already installed. my pc app manager simply doesn't show them. i understand you can have two seats and that is my goal. please advise.

Is your home PC 64-bit? If it is only 32-bit then Premiere Pro and After Effects will not show on the Apps & Services web page or in the Adobe Application Manager. Also Edge will not show if you are running Windows XP.
Sure would be good if a note to that effect appeared in the AAM and on the App & Services page explaining that to all 32-bit users.
Silence (and no appearance of a Premiere Pro or After Effects entry) just leaves them scratching their heads expecting them to work it out for themselves.
Any chance of the engineers adding that tweak to the Cloud? Then these questions will disappear from the forums.

  • Why does Application Manager show that Lightroom 4.1 is installed when in fact it isn't?

I attempted to install Lightroom 4.1 three times and it stopped on 99% installed each time.  Restarted Windows 7 and had the following results when I logged into the Application Manager.  I had installed Photoshop CS6 earlier than Lightroom and Muse after the attempts at Lightroom.  They both installed and launched correctly

  • Why does Application Manager say "Try" for Acrobat XI Pro?

If I have a Creative Cloud subscription, why does the Application Manager say "Try" for the Acrobat XI Pro app? Shouldn't I be able to upgrade my existing X Pro version? I have tried in the past, but it will not work after download.

Re-reading my post from Saturday, I thought I could add some more detail about what I am actually seeing.
When I launch Adobe Acrobat XI Pro on my MacBook Pro running OS X 10.8.2, the standard Acrobat window providing options for the next actions I can take with Acrobat - Open a file, combine files into a PDF, etc. - appears briefly and then Adobe Application Manager launches automatically.  AAM shows me a window labeled "Adobe Acrobat XI."  At the top of the window area is the title "Serial Number Upgrade," and the text below that headline states, "Serial Number you provided is valid, but a qualifying product could not be found on this computer."  It goes on to state, "To use this serial number, you must own one of these qualifying products. Please choose the one you own and enter its serial number."
Below that there is a drop-down menu titled "Select a product," which lists the following products:
    Adobe Acrobat X Standard
    Adobe Acrobat XI Standard
    Adobe Acrobat 8 Standard
    Adobe Acrobat 9 Standard
    Adobe Acrobat X Pro Macintosh
    Adobe Acrobat X Pro Windows
    Adobe Acrobat 8 Professional Macintosh
    Adobe Acrobat 8 Professional Windows
    Adobe Acrobat 9 Professional Macintosh
    Adobe Acrobat 9 Pro Windows
    Adobe Acrobat 3D V8
    Adobe Acrobat 9 Pro Extended
    Adobe Acrobat X Suite
Next to this drop-down menu is a text entry block for the serial number.
Below that is the text, "If you have registered products in the past, you can go to you account page to find your serial number. Contact Customer Support for further assistance."
My next step will probably be to do another complete uninstall and reinstall to see if that changes anything.

  • Why does Application Manager keep telling me to install Edge Animate?

Every time I launch the Adobe Application Manager, it tells me I have to install Edge Animate, even though I have the most updated version, every other application just says "Up to date".

So that's correct, If you have the most updated apps, It should say "Up to Date".

  • Why does application insists on update to incompatible version.

Why does my iPad1 (iOS 5.0.1) insist I update and also allow me to update to an application that now only works on iOS 6.1 and above?
I though you could stay on the last compatable version?
Whilst the update has downloaded and installed, the application wont work - because now only works on 6.1 and above?
How do I downgrade to an older version of the App that is 5.1.1 compatable?

    Ralph
Yes this was my understanding - sorry I am already on 5.1.1 - finger must have slipped.  The application is 4OD a TV catch up service in the UK. It appears that the developer has written the code to only work on 6.1 and above, but has somehow tricked the app store into beliving its compatable with all version of iOS.  Therefore It will download and install (thus overwriting previous versions) on anything - and then declares that it will only opperate on 6.1 and above.
As I purchased my iPad specificaly for watching the Catch Up services of the UK public service TV broadcasters, and the sales man in the Apple Store assured me it did this. I am considering launching a legal chalange, as the product no longer performs the task for which it was purchased (In the UK a product has to perform the task for which it was purchased for 5 to 7 years). Unfortunatly my case will have to be against Apple, even though they have put in place the protection to ensure older iOS devices shoul never go past the 'Last Compatable Version' as its become obvious this publisher has cercumnavigated these protections.

  • Why does my macbook only show 30% of the hd space?

My macbook seems out of space, of 232,5 GB only 2,37GB are available, but from leggible data I only have 84,5 GB on my hd,
what is the rest of the memory full with?
interesting is also that my macbook is called name-macbook-7 - this is my first and only macbook!
and in the section 'About This Mac' / More Info...   it says name's MacBook (4), where does this come from?

    Hello Dustin,
In Finder's Menu, select Go menu>Go to Folder, and go to "/volumes". (no quotes)
Volumes is where an alias to your hard drive ("/" at boot) is placed at startup, and where all the "mount points" for auxiliary drives are created for you to access them. This folder is normally hidden from view.
Drives with an extra 1 on the end have a side-effect of mounting a drive with the same name as the system already think exists. Try trashing the duplicates with a 1 or 2 if there are no real files in them, and reboot.
    If it does contain data...

  • Why does my TV only show the background image on my iMac when connected through the thunderbolt port?

I connected my iMac to my LCD TV using an HDMI cable and then an adapter to connect to the iMac's thunderbolt port. However, I can only see the wallpaper of my iMac, but not any other application that is open. Could anyone help me resolve this issue?

The TV is  seen as a second monitor, you need to drag content onto it. Just click this window and drag it to the left and it should appear on the TV. If you want the TV to mirror what you see on  your iMac then you have to tell got to System Preferences - Display - Arrangement tab and click Mirror Displays.

  • Why does my query only show clients when there is no criteria defined?

My query simply wants to display different properties of a computer.  There is no limiting criteria and yet it will only display those systems that are SCCM clients. The collection is an AD OU with both clients and non-clients. Here is my query.  Thank
    you.
    select SMS_R_System.ADSiteName, SMS_R_System.DistinguishedName, SMS_R_System.IPAddresses, SMS_R_System.LastLogonUserName, SMS_R_System.Name, SMS_G_System_DESKTOP_MONITOR.Description, SMS_G_System_SYSTEM_ENCLOSURE.SerialNumber, SMS_G_System_PHYSICAL_MEMORY.Capacity,
    SMS_G_System_LOGICAL_DISK.Name, SMS_G_System_LOGICAL_DISK.Size, SMS_G_System_COMPUTER_SYSTEM.Manufacturer, SMS_G_System_COMPUTER_SYSTEM.Model, SMS_R_System.Client from  SMS_R_System inner join SMS_G_System_PHYSICAL_MEMORY on SMS_G_System_PHYSICAL_MEMORY.ResourceID
    = SMS_R_System.ResourceId inner join SMS_G_System_LOGICAL_DISK on SMS_G_System_LOGICAL_DISK.ResourceID = SMS_R_System.ResourceId inner join SMS_G_System_COMPUTER_SYSTEM on SMS_G_System_COMPUTER_SYSTEM.ResourceID = SMS_R_System.ResourceId inner join SMS_G_System_SYSTEM_ENCLOSURE
    on SMS_G_System_SYSTEM_ENCLOSURE.ResourceID = SMS_R_System.ResourceId inner join SMS_G_System_DESKTOP_MONITOR on SMS_G_System_DESKTOP_MONITOR.ResourceId = SMS_R_System.ResourceId

They don't negate non-client results -- your query does because it is using inner joins. Inner joins drop rows in the "left" table if there is no matching row (based on the join condition) in the "right" table.
The SMS_G_System_DESKTOP_MONITOR probably does not have any rows for your non-client resources and so the entire row gets dropped. That's how inner joins work. If you don't want this to happen, then you need to use an outer join -- typically a left outer
join is what you want. This is all SQL specific and has nothing to do with ConfigMgr. It also has nothing to do with SSRS.
There are tons of great resources on both SQL and SSRS -- just use Bing.

  • Why does my tv only show black and white

I see only black and white on my tv from my apple tv

    Thank you,
I have set the unit to factory restore and the tv resolution to 480i.  I have done a reboot. The tv is an old tube tv, and is set to factory resolution and cannot be changed, there is no settings to change the resolution/settings.  The tv color is fine during the cable settings.
    Thanks

  • Why does eye dropper Lab show a different value than the Lightness channel?

Can someone help me understand how the L in Lab color in the eye dropper tool maps to the actual Lab Lightness channel?  Both are on a scale of 0-100, but they clearly show different values.  Here's a video that show what I mean (note that if I completely desaturate the color, I get the same results, it isn't a color thing).

I cannot read much useful in the OP's video, but I think, the OP is not talking about
HLS- or HSL-Lightness (not available in PS CS6) or HSB-Brightness, but only about
CIELab Lightness in two different modes:
    Figure 1:
    Figure 2:
The area was filled with a gray L=50 a=0 b=0.
In Figure 1 all channels are selected. The values are correct.
In Figure 2 only the Lightness channel is selected. The value L=54 is wrong.
    What might be the reason?
Measurements were always taken inside the area. The RGB-values are the same in both modes.
Please don't verify this by measuring in these Forum-images. These are PNGs in RGB.
Please verify by repeating the trial.
