Why does Application Manager show that Lightroom 4.1 is installed when in fact it isn't?

I attempted to install Lightroom 4.1 three times and it stopped on 99% installed each time.  Restarted Windows 7 and had the following results when I logged into the Application Manager.  I had installed Photoshop CS6 earlier than Lightroom and Muse after the attempts at Lightroom.  They both installed and launched correctly

Application manager show that Acrobat X Pro is installed on my computer but it's not, what is the action to resolve this issue??

    Hi Cailloux1973,
I would check to see if the uninstaller is available at
Control Panel > Programs & Features or Add Remove Programs or Mac HD > Applications > Utilities > Adobe Installers.
If you find and uninstaller run it.
If the product is not listed there you might try the Acrobat cleaner tool from here

  • Why does Application Manager show up in Japanese?

I have been having problems with the Application Manager always showing up in Japanaese making it very hard for this English speaker to figure out what I'm trying to download. I have tried re-installing the software to no avail.
This is on a MacBook Air running 10.8.2 Mountain Lion.
Any thoughts on how to fix this so that I can download applications?

  • Why does my iPhone shows "restricted" on other people's phone when I call them?

Why does my iPhone shows "restricted" on other people's phone when I call them?

Lena the only previous e-mail message was on Tuesday Dec 30 which stated…..
Lets get your Caller ID to work as it should! I will send you a private message so that we can better assist.
This e-mail states  that another ‘private message’ presumably via e-mail would be sent/received but I haven’t received anything else from an e-mail perspective. Presumably it is just a matter of navigating through a low number of settings to get to the caller-id option.
    Thank you,
    Steve.

  • Why does Application Manager keep telling me to install Edge Animate?

Every time I launch the Adobe Application Manager, it tells me I have to install Edge Animate, even though I have the most updated version, every other application just says "Up to date".

So that's correct, If you have the most updated apps, It should say "Up to Date".

  • Why does application manager only shows me CS6 version of the apps? How do install the CC versions?

Everything in the Adobe site leads me to believe that the CC versions of the aplications are the current versions, however, when I open application manager, I only see the CS6 versions. Do I have to uninstall something and then reinstal? What do I do to install the CC versions?

The Creative Cloud versions will not be available until June 17th.  Please see the following related discussions.

  • Why does Application Manager say "Try" for Acrobat XI Pro?

If I have a Creative Cloud subscription, why does the Application Manager say "Try" for the Acrobat XI Pro app? Shouldn't I be able to upgrade my existing X Pro version? I have tried in the past, but it will not work after download.

Re-reading my post from Saturday, I thought I could add some more detail about what I am actually seeing.
When I launch Adobe Acrobat XI Pro on my MacBook Pro running OS X 10.8.2, the standard Acrobat window providing options for the next actions I can take with Acrobat - Open a file, combine files into a PDF, etc. - appears briefly and then Adobe Application Manager launches automatically.  AAM shows me a window labeled "Adobe Acrobat XI."  At the top of the window area is the title "Serial Number Upgrade," and the text below that headline states, "Serial Number you provided is valid, but a qualifying product could not be found on this computer."  It goes on to state, "To use this serial number, you must own one of these qualifying products. Please choose the one you own and enter its serial number."
Below that there is a drop-down menu titled "Select a product," which lists the following products:
    Adobe Acrobat X Standard
    Adobe Acrobat XI Standard
    Adobe Acrobat 8 Standard
    Adobe Acrobat 9 Standard
    Adobe Acrobat X Pro Macintosh
    Adobe Acrobat X Pro Windows
    Adobe Acrobat 8 Professional Macintosh
    Adobe Acrobat 8 Professional Windows
    Adobe Acrobat 9 Professional Macintosh
    Adobe Acrobat 9 Pro Windows
    Adobe Acrobat 3D V8
    Adobe Acrobat 9 Pro Extended
    Adobe Acrobat X Suite
Next to this drop-down menu is a text entry block for the serial number.
Below that is the text, "If you have registered products in the past, you can go to you account page to find your serial number. Contact Customer Support for further assistance."
My next step will probably be to do another complete uninstall and reinstall to see if that changes anything.

  • I have been subscribing to the 9.99 lightroom and photoshop for almost a year. Under apps in the Creative Cloud it shows that Lightroom needs to be installed. Why?

I have been subscribing to the 9.99 lightroom and photoshop for almost a year. Yet when I go to the Apps tab on the Creative Cloud it repeatedly says I need to install lightroom. However, for photoshop it says I need to update the application. When I check in Lightroom under check for updates, it says my software is up to date. Why is this happening?

Whenever Lightroom is shown as an install in the creative cloud manager, that is an indication that there is an update available. There is a Lightroom 5.7.1 update that has been released. But there isn't really an update process for Lightroom other than to install the newer version. The 5.7.1 update had some bug fixes and support changes for a Sony camera, I believe.

  • My Adobe Application Manager shows that I didn't install anything

But I already installed the things I wanted to. Today I just wanted to update my programs and then after the Application Manager updated itself it showed me that I only can install everything insteat of update.
    Sorry for my bad English.
    Thank you in advance
    Justin

Ok will please try reinstalling the Adobe Application Manager as previously discussed.  If that fails to work then at your convenience you will want to remove all Adobe Creative applications.  You would then want to follow this by using the CS Cleaner Tool at CS Cleaner Tool for installation problems | CCM, CS6, CS5.5, CS5, CS4, CS3 - http://helpx.adobe.com/creative-suite/kb/cs5-cleaner-tool-installation-problems.html.  You should then be able to reinstall the Adobe Application Manager and reinstall your applications.

  • Why does my mac show that i have 49GB of movies but i have no movies in my computer?

when i click on my "about this mac" and go to he storage tab it shows that i have about 49GB of Movies. I don't have any movies stored in my computer so how is it possible that i have that much memory used up?

If the Storage display seems to be inaccurate, try rebuilding the Spotlight index.

The next time you have the problem, note the exact time: hour, minute, second.
If you have more than one user account, these instructions must be carried out as an administrator.
Launch the Console application in any of the following ways:
☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)
☞ In the Finder, select Go ▹ Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.
☞ Open LaunchPad. Click Utilities, then Console in the icon grid.
Make sure the title of the Console window is All Messages. If it isn't, select All Messages from the SYSTEM LOG QUERIES menu on the left. If you don't see that menu, select
    View ▹ Show Log List
    from the menu bar.
Scroll back in the log to the time you noted above. Select any messages timestamped from then until the end of the episode. Copy them (command-C) to the Clipboard. Paste (command-V) into a reply to this message.
When posting a log extract, be selective. In most cases, a few dozen lines are more than enough.
Please do not indiscriminately dump thousands of lines from the log into this discussion.
Important: Some private information, such as your name, may appear in the log. Anonymize before posting.

  • Why does Mail keep showing that I have incoming messages, when I don't?

...usually hundreds via the "burning cigarette"!

Quit Mail. Force quit if necessary.
Back up all data. That means you know you can restore the Mail database, no matter what happens.
Triple-click anywhere in the line below on this page to select it:
    ~/Library/Mail/V2/MailData
Copy the selected text to the Clipboard by pressing the key combination command-C. In the Finder, select
    Go ▹ Go to Folder
from the menu bar. Paste into the box that opens (command-V), then press return.
A folder window will open. Inside it there should be files with names as follows:
    Envelope Index
    ExternalUpdates.storedata
Move those files to the Desktop, leaving the window open. Other files in the folder may have longer names that begin as above. Move those files, if any, to the Trash.
Log out and log back in. Relaunch Mail. It should prompt you to re-import your messages. You may get a warning that the index is damaged and that Mail has to quit. Click OK. Warning: The process may take hours if you have gigantic mailboxes. For reasonable-sized mailboxes, it should only take a few minutes.
Test. If Mail now works as expected, you can delete the files you moved to the Desktop. Otherwise, post your results.

  • Why does App Manager think I need Admin privileges to install updates?

I'm a Creative Cloud subscriber, and when I open apps (such as Muse) I get a message to install upgrades (or not). If I ask to install, I'm asked for login and password info, which is then refused and I get an error message that I need Admin privileges. So the install fails.
I can log in to this site using my login and password, so that's not the problem. I can also open the application (without the upgrades) but these are listed as being time-sensitive: only available until, for example, June 14. But there's no way for me to install these new releases. HELP!!!

It's down to where the updates are writing their files / registry keys. For example, installing/updating the Flash Player runtime has always required admin access as the file lives within the operating system folder tree (on Windows it's in system32/Macromed). Registry-wise, Adobe places keys in HKCU and HKLM - the latter is read-only for normal users.
If you're managing a network with enterprise-licensed software, there are tools for Creative Cloud that permit an IT manager to build offline deployment packs for the base installers and updates. If your users have retail copies of CC, that isn't an option and everything has to be managed on a per-machine basis.

  • Why does Firefox keep insisting that I update to 5.0 when I have already done that several times?

don`t know what more to tell

It looks that the update wasn't successful because your "More system details" list still shows a Firefox 4.0.1 version.
Download a fresh Firefox copy and save the file to the desktop.
    * Firefox 5.0.x: http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/all.html
    * Uninstall your current Firefox version.
    * Do not remove personal data when you uninstall the current version.
Remove the Firefox program folder before installing that newly downloaded copy of the Firefox installer.
    * It is important to delete the Firefox program folder to remove all the files and make sure that there are no problems with files that were leftover after uninstalling.
Your bookmarks and other profile data are stored elsewhere in the [http://kb.mozillazine.org/Profile_folder_-_Firefox Firefox Profile Folder] and won't be affected by a reinstall, but make sure that you do not select to remove personal data if you uninstall Firefox.
