Why dont you make it work to post pictures as a subscriber of someones photostream?

I got excited about this Shared photostream. But when i got it in my hands, i got disappointed because i wanted it to work like i am doing with my other iOS devices, that i can add photos from whatever iOS device i want and it pops up on any device i own. But when i use shared photostream, i can only upload it and my subscribers can see it.. but they can not upload into that stream themselves.. why? This would have been so much more awesome.

We're all users like yourself, if you would like to leave feedback to Apple go to Contact Us at the bottom of this page then go to Feedback and leave your concern. iOS 7 requires 512MB of RAM. Only the iPod 5 has 512MB RAM. The iPod 4 only has 256MB RAM. Hope this helps, Good luck.

There is some instability in iMessage. It is a versatile and confusing app even though there are so few options in its use.
I had issues trying to get iMessage work on both my iPads and my iPhone.
ON the iPhone, turning off WiFi service and then trying iMessage fixed the problem.
On the iPad 2, same thing. Turning off WiFi service fixed it.
On the iPad 1, I took a suggestion from zoomzoom and changed the WiFi network configuration on the iPad to use 8.8.8.8 as a DNS server and then use iMessage. That fixed it. Now I put the DNS back to default and it still works.
I suspect the iPod Touch will have the same fix as the iPad.
If you have a WiFi and 3G iPad or iPhone, try turing off WiFi and see if that fixes it.
Why? (beware, some of this is guesswork)
iMessage can talk SMS to cellphones and smartphones (that are using the cell-network). It can also talk Apple iMessage format to iPhones and iPads whether they are on cell-network or on WiFi. If you are talking to an SMS cellphone, iMessage figures that out and blindly sends your message. If you are talking to a iOS5 device, iMessage figures that out too, checks to see that they are on-line, and then does something different if they are or are not on-line. If you type in an email address, and not a phone number, I think iMessage attempts to see if the email address is registered with Apple (or iCloud or whatever) and if it is not, it does something to let you know, possibly by making the Send button not light up.
In order to register iMessage and an email, you have to let the iOS device see whatever service it is that iMessage uses. That is where the problem happenes. zoomzoom suggested manually setting the WiFi DNS to google's 8.8.8.8 IP address, then run IMessage, and that seemed to fix the problem. Setting the iOS device to use 3G-only (by turning off WiFi) also fixed the problem. I suspect going down to StarBucks or McDonalds and using their WiFi would also fix the problem. Once the problem is fixed, it doesn't seem to come back so I can't test these 'fixes'.
To change the DNS on your iPad find your WiFi networks configuration, click on the blue arrow, touch DNS, backspace over the number that is shown, type in 8.8.8.8 Then click on the WiFiNetworks button at the top of the screen. Now go run iMessage. After that, you can delete the DNS entry again and leave it blank. Your iPad will fill it in from the WiFi router when it needs it.

I have a 3rd gen ipod touch and don't have the money to get a newer ipod so why cant you make iOS 6 available for 3rd gen ipod touches?

1) You are not talking to Apple here. We are users just like you.
2) The 3rd gen iPod does not have the hardware to be able to use iOS 6
3) As of now, almost all available apps will also run on iOS 5.

What I want to make is a scroller that can scroll movieclips,
so I use a scrollPane and adds a empyt MC (a contentHolder) to it.
I fill the contentHolder with the MC's i have. Then I made my
own scrollbar what works with %, so when it is at the top the value
is 0% and at the bottom 100%. A onEnterFrame on the scrollbar makes
sure it is always updated.
Used this solution before and it works pretty ok. But now the
movieclips can change size (when you expand the news) This change
in size makes it jump...
I spend days now, so i need some else to look at it, to see
if you can help me.
problem: The position of the scrollbar changes when a mc is
expanded.
cause: The overall size of the contentholder changes, but I
can't seem to get the scrollbar dragger placed correct.
what i want: when you expande a movieclip, the movieclip
stays where it is, and the scrollbar dragger is resized and placed
accordingly.
how: I can't do the math...

simlpe Mask would have done the job as well. Am I right, or is do I
miss something important.
The next questioin would be why use on enter frame and not
just onMouseMove.
Like always in such situations, I not sure if i sound to
smartass, and how far my "teaching" should go. For the moment I'll
try to fix the problem (as I understand it) with as little changes
to your stuff as I can manage.

Why dont' my flash player works anymore on certin websites

It works great on you tube .It works great on windows player internet radio. It works great on porn tube.But it no longer works onlive365 radio.the stations just loads .but never loads in and comes on.It don't works on xhamsters.com any more niether the same as live 365 .Just loads in.It's been this way since monday 12/17/12. I contacted help from live 365 and they claim it was not coming from them .They even put the blame on me.The same with the other help .Both have a option of buying a commercial free version of their web,without advetisements or commercial interuptions.I get asneaky suspicion that they might be doing this un porpusley to get to by premeium service.Evidence on I.e 9 a big advertisement labeled live365 rich media ad covers the whole webpage and player .No way to click it out.So the problem of not loading in is on Googles chrome .Originally firefox,unitl I deleted it out,. I.e. 9, which is now blocked by a big ad covering up the whole website.Could someone help me on this? I want tto get these stations back on

Try switching Chrome's version of Flash Player to your system copy to see if that helps.

One guy in that post said that this forum is a user to user forum. But he must have been very wrong. Cuz every time we user start to dig where its deep YOU moderators come in and delete the posts. All you want here on this forum is people asking how to repair their disk permissions.
Since this Leopard Downgrade emerged there are 100 of thousands of people just about ready to blow....
Your job as a moderator is to VERIFY the contents of the posts - and the post you've just deleted was NOT against forum policy. If someone posts a reply that is against the forum - then for god sake have the intelligence to JUST delete the reply and NOt the whole post....

I'm going to take a stab, and explain to you why something like this may happen. I've been on this board long enough to know that:
1. If there is any smell of ranting. Calling it a "downgrade" alone seems like a rant.
2. If there is any smell of unsubstantiated criticism.
3. If there is any smell of demeaning towards others or towards Apple.
4. If there is any indication that a thread is proceeding nowhere towards a solution and people are venting feelings.
Then a thread or a post can be deleted. They may not be as able to delete a single post versus a thread as easily. That puts a bit of an onus on us the user to stay clear of writing posts that could trigger an unhappy response by someone who had problems. It is better to start a thread which asks questions about why a technical issue might happen and how to solve it, and avoid any blame. Subject line should be asking that question.
Don't hijack another thread where someone is looking for a solution, saying you have that problem too. That tends to create an atmosphere of ill-will.
Point people to where to Post a New Topic (at some forum versus a category level) that are obviously new with only one post. If they have a couple posts, check their post history to see if they managed to post a new topic elsewhere, and say to them they should look there for a response.
I'm not a moderator, nor do I question their policy. Among the Terms of Use is that we can't question, nor can we speculate.
It isn't a "downgrade" for everyone. There are some people, like myself who have successfully installed Leopard.
Now was there a technical issue you needed resolving with either your installed software, or your hardware?

Can you make ContactSheet working properly with the different size of photos?

i have two photos of size 2000 px X 1500 px and 2000 px X 1350 px ... i can not have the Contact Sheet to combine two photos accordingly, "2000 px X 1500 px" locate in the top of the page and "2000 px X 1350 px" follow the first photo...
there is no issue in doing the first photo, but the second photo is always shrink with a smaller size (width is changed to less than 2000 px) photo...
is this normal that it will not work accordingly with different size photos?...
if not, how can i make it work with different size photos?...

Different size layers containing various aspect ratio images would be hard to distribute onto a document canvas. Would be like piecing a jig saw puzzle together. Where image contend has no bearing on where its location should be. Like laying out a slate patio of random size slates. There is no correct solution you need a good layout where slate size fit well together where spacing between them are nearly the same. Then you need to rearrange the slates for a better visual composition. Constrained to a rectangle canvas no image left out no image trimming or resizing minimal white space. A hard puzzle.. Canvas area and aspect ratio, image area and aspect ratios no one correct solution.

Why dont you put a button on your browser for tools like all the other browsers do? I have to do a search to figure out how to make any changes.

My other browsers have a "tool button" I can click on to go in and change security settings, empty out the cache and history plus other things. i can find one with Firefox.

Wild Blue and iChat - how do you make 'em work?

My mom has an iMac and has to use Wild Blue as her provider. I have an iMac and use Roadrunner. The error message says video chat won't work due to bandwidth. Wild Blue is no help, of course. Any suggestions - besides the obvious getting more bandwidth? I'm concerned that even buying more bandwidth may not work...

Distinct lack of info about what Internet Speeds you have at Both ends (interpreted by iChat as Bandwidth as it will presume other apps and computers may be using the internet).
Have you changed System Preferences > Quicktime > Streaming to read 1.5Mbps and restarted iChat.
(Change the setting and restart iChat on Both computers)
For your Road Runner end also go to iChat Menu > Preferences > Video section > Bandwidth Limit drop down and set the speed to 500kbps
This is because Road Runner practice Data Stream Management to try and stop Peer-to-Peer File Sharing apps.
iChat in Video can send lots of data and it is a Peer-to-Peer connection with your Buddy.
Limiting your end can help "Get under the Radar" as it were.

Thinkpad Yoga and UP710E stylus, how do you make them work together?

So my work just got me a Thinkpad Yoga as per my request
I have confirmed that in the Device Manager I do see: "HID-compliant touch screen"
I have also gone out on my own and purchased the UP710E wacom stylus, as suggested at various points on this board and on other sites, as something that should work with the Yoga
I've also purchased Manga Studios as an art program that is supported on this device (it seems to run fine) and with the pen.
I turned on Manga Studios (and MSPaint for good measure), pressed pen to screen and... nothing. Eraser to screen.. nothing. Mouse? Works fine. Stylus that everything and everyone indicated should work? Nope.
So.... what am I missing? Is there a driver I should be looking at? Everything should be up to date.. some in-between program I need to install? Try this when the wind is blowing south by southwest?

I'll defer to others who might know definitively, but it's my understanding that the 1366x768 LCDs are not Wacom digitizer-equipped, whereas the FHD panels are. That would be one possibility for what you're seeing.

You're being unrealistic. Apple has ever "right" to create any new version of their software for more recent devices only. At no time were you promised updates forever; what Apple advertised when you purchased your iPod is all you are entitled to. You received several updates to iOS, including some that (depending on when you purchased your iPod) delivered significant new features beyond what was available when the iPod was sold. It is impractical at best and in may cases impossible for all the new features to work on older models; the hardware in those older models just won't support all the features.
If you want the most current features in iOS, you'll need a more recent iPod. And if you do buy one, expect that at some point it too will no longer receive updates.
