Why is user in this group?

I have a user that I cannot understand why he is in a group. So, I wrote the following to demonstrate:

The first part of the code simply lists all users of a particular group: ( Note the user a667423_edocs ) I added # to denote the member is a group, not a user.

So, for a user to be in the group above he must be a direct member of the group, or a direct member of one of the groups listed above, true?
So below is the direct members of each group. Note that DirectoryUser a0667423_edocs is not a direct member of any of them. So why is he showing up as a member of the group above.

I removed the user in question from ALL ifs groups, however he still shows to be in several groups when I do a getAllMembers() on the groups.
I think this is a bug in the system and plan to contact Oracle. Please let me know if you have any suggestions.

Generate one instance for all users in a Group

Hi All,
We have BO 3.1 with FP 2.6.
There is a report that needs to be schedule in such a way that it will generate only one instance for all the users belonging to u201CGlobalu201D community while for rest of the users wonu2019t see any instance of it. They will simply run the report on demand providing the prompt values.
I am able to run the report for whole u201CGlobalu201D group (using u2018schedule foru2019) option but the problem is it creates as many instances as the number of users I have in this group. As users of this group have same data level access, so primarily theyu2019ll get same report output. That is why it is not desirable to run this report for all of them instead there should be a way it creates one instance after each schedule for the whole community.
Please suggest.

I think there are still ways to use publications to achieve what you want.
For instance, I created the below scenario:
- Created 3 users (pub1, pub2, pub3) and put them in group (publication users)
- I created a publication and specified the "publication users" group as the enterprise recipients
- Set the destination to be Default & BusinessObjects Inbox. Set the "Send As" option to Shortcut instead of copy.
- Under Advanced, I set it to one db fetch for all recipients.
- Scheduled this and it ran the report once, and created a shortcut to that object in each users inbox (user in the group specified)
This meets most of your criteria. The rest of it should be handled by security on the objects/folders.
Another option may be Object Packages with the proper security setup.

But in my company I have lots of users and not all need sap, and the users are in some ouu2019s .
I create group in AD that called SAP_USERS and I add same users to this group.
Can sap LDAP read and sync this group?

Why is there an access control list on parental controls on my MacBook? I don't use parental controls and I am the only user of this MacBook. I'm an old guy too, so it's not my Mom putting controls on the MacBook! ;-)

Then I'd check the system drive, if it has problems.
To check your System drive boot into the Recovery Partition, see: OS X Lion: About Lion Recovery
Restart your Mac and hold down the Command key and the R key (Command-R), and keep holding them until the Apple icon appears, indicating that your Mac is starting up.
You will see a panel, where you can use Disk Utility to check your System Drive.

WHAT is "Hibernate this Group" and why can't I find ANY information on this and HOW to get accidentally hibernated groups BACK???

This is REALLY getting me frustrated! What is "Hibernate this Group"? Why can't I find any information on it? Why can't I get groups back that have been accidentally "hibernated"? There is a "moon" symbol on my upper right screen that says "Hibernate this Group" and I don't know what it does or how it works! Is there a solution to this issue? I have an iPhone and an iPad that sync with Outlook using iTunes. Every now and then the contacts, calander and notes become unchecked for both the iPhone and iPad. When I recheck them and "Apply" I get this message: The information on the iPad is synced with another user account. Do you want to sync this iPad with the information from this user account?

I currently have 5 phones/lines. 2 Droid MAXX phones, a Samsung Galaxy S5 phone and 2 basic phones (4+ year old Motorola & Samsung). The cost for each line rose considerably and usage fees more than doubled on the 2 basic phones when I upgraded the 3 smartphones at the beginning of this year and Had to Convert from my old Unlimited Family Plan to the Newer Share Everything Plan. My Data Usage varies a lot due to occasional travel which I have little control over. At least you recently began including a $10 deduction on each of the 2 older phones (which I have not updated in order to save money though they need updating). My Sweet Spot on Data would be around 6GB Monthly Data. But that level is not offered. Only 2, 3, 4, 10, or 15 GB plans are offered.
Verizon's Data Plans Offered Are: 2GB-$50/MO = $25/GB * 3GB-$60/MO = $20/GB * 4GB-$70/MO = $17.50/GB * 10GB-$80/MO = $8/GB * 15GB-$100/MO = $6.66/GB * And Overages are Charged at $15 per 1k-1GB.
Offers JUMP From 4GB TO 10GB (There's a 6GB GAP/JUMP - ***) - Why is there NO 6 or 8 GB offering? Because Verizon is Overcharging the Lower Data Users! Seems like All of the Other Cellular companies are Offering Better Deals.
If you can offer something better please let me know, otherwise I may have to consider going back to AT&T or moving to one of the other cellular companies.

Why does my iphone not receive group messages if there is a non iphone user in the group?

I Have an iphone 4 with the latest update. Whenever anyone sends a group message to me when there is a non-iphone user in the group, my phone does not receive the message. I've tried restarting and it doesnt work. i have sms messaging turned on. Any help would be greatly appreciated

Initiator Task not visible to other users in the Group

JDeveloper 11.1.1.6, WLS 10.3.6, BPM 11.1.1.6
I have a Process and the swimlane containing the Initiator Task is assigned to a Group.
All the users in the group are able to Initiate the Task.
But when the Task is initiated, the Task is assigned to the User specifically, but not to the Group. I guess this is the default behavior.
The Human Task Assignee - defaultPerformer for the Initiator Task is uneditable in the initiator.task file.
What I was expecting is that, since the Initiator swimlane is assigned to the Group, All the users in the Group should be able to see the Tasks initiated by anyone in the Group.
I want this behavior in the Initiator type of tasks specifically. (The normal Tasks other than Initiator tasks are working as expected.)
The reason why we want this is, let us say after the task is created, and before it is submitted, there is a lot of work to be done, for example, data entry, should be done by many people in the Group.
If all the users in the Group are able to see the Initiator Task, then it will help to share the responsibility of data entry among the users of the group.
I tried Reassigning the task to Group, and it works, but we am looking for something automatically assigning to the Group when the Process is created. (We may not be using the Oracle BPM Workspace at all).
Can anyone please tell us if there is a way to make the Initiator Task automatically assigned to the Group instead of just the user?

I did the same and it was working for me even if the Type is Single.
I just gave the Group name and all users were able to see the task. This is fine with me.
I just observed one more thing.
When the task is created, all the users in the Group are able to see it in 'Me & My Group'.
But the data entered by the creator is not seen by other users.
There is an action 'Save' in the Task. If the creator clicked on it, then the task is automatically 'Acquired' by the creator.
Other users in the group are able to see the task and the saved data, but are not able to Submit.
What I expected the Save button to do is only to Save the data in the Payload. Not Claim it.
Is there a way to make the payload data only to save but not to claim the task?

Problem with tab access after user deleted from group

There seems to be a problem (potential bug???) when deleting a user from a portal group. I have a portal page set up with multiple tabs. These tabs can only be accessed by users belonging to certain portal groups. When i add a user to a group, the user sees the necessary tabs when authenticated. However, if i delete this user from the group there is a problem. When the user re-logs into portal, they will see all the tabs belonging to the group they were deleted from. However, when they select this tab nothing happens and the portal goes into a state of flux (doesn't navigate). One way to resolve this is to go in as a portal admin, edit any tab and select apply. The portal then seems to refresh.
This solution isn't practical. Is this a bug? Is there a patch or another solutions??? Thanks

Those SQL Statements were extracted from the MS Access application that we will continue to use to access the data , now on an Oracle Database.
I don't know what I can do to make this kind of statements works as it is on Access database. The first query, that I called Query1 works fine on Oracle, I just mentioned it because the 2nd Query , named Query2, use it.
I'm not able to understand why when I change the 1st. query to a "make-table" query the Query2 works as desired, but if I keep the Query1 and Query2 as it is on the MS Access Application I got the ODBC error message and the ORA-00904 error message , related (I think!) to the FieldTmp field used on the LEFT JOIN statement (AND).
As I told before, if I change the AND clause to compare to another field, as instance, field1 :
FROM Query1 LEFT JOIN Table3
ON (Table3.field1=Query1.Field2) AND
(Table3.field5 = Query1.Field1)
it works.
Please, is there anything that I can do to keep the MS Access Application unchanged?

Creating User Defined Package Groups

Hi everyone!
I'm currently exploring/experimenting with strategies to stabilize parts of the Arch system on machines which I plan do update less frequently (I am aware of the risks and the potential difficulties associated with infrequent updates; that's why this is an experiment). It seems to me that Package Groups would be an asset which could be leveraged for a few different strategies. However, I cannot find any documentation on creating user defined package groups. Is there a way to do this? Any documentation anyone could point me to would be awesome. Thanks!

You can compile the package yourself or change just the metadata. I think xyne had a tool for that, if only I could remember the name ...

Edit 2: What do you need package groups for anyway? You should update the whole system rather than individual packages / groups of packages.

User not inheriting group properties

A group has app designer access to a particular app - why doesn't the users assigned to this group inherit this access?

What documentation did you find this in? I feel like I knocked my head against a wall looking through documentation and never found what you sent. Any idea when a group is useful if the individual rights override group rights? why bother with groups? Here is what I was looking at that I thought made sense to me: You can grant security permissions to individual users and to groups of users on an Analytic Server. You can assign users to a security group so that they can share identical minimum permissions assigned at the group level. Users inherit all permissions of the group and can also have permissions that exceed those of the group. Users and groups are managed on a server-by-server basis; users and groups defined on an Analytic Server exist for all applications and databases on the server. Permissions granted to users and groups take precedence over minimum permissions granted at the application or database level. In group ABC, add Everyone role in Assigned Roles.
In my case Im using a role XXX in group Everyone and I configured all iViews for this role.
