why the download page using safari cannot to open???it just appear black page only...for example, i wanna to download any product (dmg) but i couldn't.. why????????

If the patch level of the browser is not exposed to the website, the website should probably not claim that I'm running the latest version, since it cannot know for sure. Often patch level updates are security updates and those are the most critical ones (I can skip new features for ages, no problem, but a big security hole needs to be fixed ASAP). I'm tech-savvy enough to click on "Download a fresh copy", because I know what I'm doing and I know the page is wrong, but don't expect my mother to that ("But the page said, I am already running the latest version...").
The auto updater doesn't work because all apps I install on my Mac have root:wheel ownership (just like when installing apps from the Ma AppStore or those that ship as part of the system) and nobody but root:wheel has write permissions to the app bundle. This is actually standard for programs on any Linux system I know, why should I go with less security on my Mac?
This is no problem for AppStore apps (Apple updates those with a daemon running with root privileges) and this is also no problem for apps updating with Sparkle (after downloading and verifying the update, they will prompt for an admin password and then perform the actually file changes with root privileges), but Fx has no such mechanism. It will just try to update and fail because of insufficient privileges.

If there are problems with updating or with the permissions then easiest is to download the full version and trash the currently installed version to do a clean install of the new version.
Download a new copy of the Firefox program and save the disk image (dmg) file to the desktop

I have created a 2-page form on Adobe Acrobat XPro. I emailed it to specific people and they filled it out, saved it and emailed it back. That's what I asked the people I emailed the form to and someone just emailed me saying: "I'll check my adobe. It keeps asking me to update and I keep ignoring it so maybe it was my fault". So there is the answer I guess. I saved the document as an Extended PDF and selected Enable Additional Features. Is there anything else I should consider?

Yes, it looks like they've screwed up. Some people have been able to update CC to LR6, some people get half way through the download and it fails, some people (me included don't get any option to upgrade to LR6 in the CC app... It's all very annoying. I tried the help chat, and I got "log out of the CC and try again in 2-3 hours". Well, that was half an hour ago, but I'm not holding my breath for getting LR6 today.

Long story short, I've updated my HP Stream 7 Signature Edition from win 8.1 to win 10 TP. Everything was working fine, but because I did an update instead of a clean installation of win10 TP, I was running short of space in the C: drive, so I decided to do a clean install of win 10 TP. Now nothing is working, so I have to download drivers from the HP support page. Now when I enter the support page for any model of the Stream 7 (including the one I actually have, model 5709), I always get the same message: "We were unable to find any drivers for your product. Drivers may be in development so please check back at a later date or visit the product homepage." How is this possible? I ussed the support page, including drivers, just 3 weeks ago and every driver for every piece of hardware was there. Now its empty. Is there a problem with HP support at this time? Greetings

Hi: Unfortunately, the support pages are not working for most of the newer HP PC's. It has been that way for about a day now. Since I am not employed by nor do I represent HP, I am not sure when they will have the pages working again. Check back again some other time. With the Independence Day holiday weekend in the USA, I would not expect this to be taken care of immediately.

Which browser are you using to download the application? Whatever browser you're using, it is recommended to clean the browser's cache and then quit the browser, relaunch it and login with your credentials again. If this does not work try another browser..

You may have something as simple as a corrupt cache. Try resetting in Safe Mode and see if that fixes it. If not another thing to attempt is opening Disk Utility and Repairing Disk Permissions, do this action 2-3 times.

Why is the download speed for Creative Cloud updates and initial software installation so slow?

Why is the download process for Adobe Creative Cloud updates and initial installations so slow? I can download and update other software from other providers almost an order of magnitude faster. This slow download problem has been present since I started using Creative Cloud soon after it was initially offered.
Adobe customer support maintains that there is no throttling at Adobe's end, and that no one has complained about this problem -- this forum shows the latter not to be true.
What is the problem?

I don't think I've ever checked the download speed but the installers are definitely large files, many several GB. It might seem longer because the download immediately progresses into the installation at 50%

Down load fron the Internet OmniDiskSweeper (free) and open it. It will show you all of your files and the respective sizes.
In addition, click on your HDD icon in the upper right hand corner of your desk top with COMMAND I (I as in the letter i). What does it say about the space used and available.

How do I download TCS5? I cannot find the download link for TCS5 even though I've paid for it.

I know this sounds like a dumb question ("How do I download...?") but I tried every possible online alternative for subscription downloading the TCS5 for almost 24 hours without success. The subscription download link does not exist anywhere on the Adobe site, despite impressions to the contrary. At the end a kind and patient soul from Customer Service (Anvinder, thank you!) sent me two separate links for two different set-up packages (a .7z package and an .exe package), I saved them on my desktop and then clicked the .EXE file and installed the suite. Actually it turns out the reason I could not download the Suite was because I was clicking on the obvious DOWNLOAD button hehhehhe!. The customer rep specifically told me NOT to click the download button and instead directly go to the URLs that he kindly provided! It was an adventure but at the end I am happy that I could download it since I love TCS. I have no idea why Adobe makes it this hard to download TCS. I wish someone looked into this aggravating problem and the whole download interface. Please test your interface because it is well-designed, looks good, and it "looks" as though it should be working etc. but actually it does not.

Since then I've been exploring Dreamweaver, and the author of "Dreamweaver for Dummies" suggets that the best way to make changes to my existing site is to use Dreamweaver's FTP capabailities to download the existing pages. But Wix doesn't support FTP -- so they tell me, and simpleurl.com (where I regeistered my domain name) and which is somehow involved in the posting of my site) can't help either. Here's the Dreamweaver page that I need to fill in.

a careful look at the "source" for the pages I've created. That code will

nothing of what I've written -- text-wise. It's all stored on the Wix

and accessed with various scripts. You can re-locate your Wix-created site
after 60 days -- not before. So the suggestion I got from the "...Dummies"
book doesn't apply here.
Nonetheless, I'm going to continue to learn how to use Dreamweaver. Maybe
after my 60 days are up I'll wanna move it. Don't know.

The "verisign" logo for secured sites is missing from the status/addon bar. How can I get it back?

Whenever I used to sign it to ebay, the "verisign" logo would show red/unsecured. A refresh of the page would reload with a secure setting.
I can no longer see the logo anywhere but refresh out of habit anyway hoping it is then secure on the next load.
If the logo showed for any other sites/pages I wouldn't know.
Is there a way to get it back so I feel safer?

Firefox has a built-in security indicator, but it has changed. The status bar was redesigned out of Firefox, so now you use the area to the left of the address (green, blue, or plain) to check whether the site is secure.

If you were using an add-on from Verisign, its icon might be on the Add-ons toolbar. You can turn that on using:
View menu > Toolbars > Add-ons Toolbar
