Windows Setup Crashing
I have successfully partioned 32GB of space and installed Win XP Pro on my Mac Pro running Leopard. When I start the windows setup it goes to the blue windows memory dump screen as soon as it gets to installing devices. Any suggestions on what may cause that? Have tried reinstalling and formatting partition several times.
what did you do? I'm having the same issues.

We are using SharePoint 2013 and I want to sync document libraries with
OneDrive for Business with my PC running Windows 7.
In general, it works, but my Windows Explorer crashes very often (after a few minutes) when I navigate in the synced directories and open files there (or copy files into them in Windows Explorer).
How can I find out what happens and how to avoid it?
remark:
We are still using Office 2007, so I installed only OneDrive for Business from the Office 2013 DVD and
deactivated all other components like Office 2013 by hand:
(so for example, the shared office feature or MS Info Path etc. were not installed)
Is there a crash log, where I can find more information about the crash?
Does OneDrive maybe need other components to be installed and can I install them without damaging my existing Office 2007 setup?Did you check your Event Viewer for any errors during the time when Windows Explorer crashed?
Thanks for this hint!
The Log file says the following, so it seems to be WIDCOMM\Bluetooth Software\btncopy.dll
to be responsible for the crashing Windows Explorer

Hi!
I've got a new 27" iMac (late 2013), and I was going to install Windows 8.1 (64-bit) to be able to play a few games.
Everything went smoothly (installed normally via Boot Camp Assistant), and after the Windows setup, the Boot Camp drivers needed to be installed. After this, the computer rebooted, but crashed at a blue screen with the error called "kernel_security_check_failure".
It rebooted a few times on its own, but after a few times, I got some options, and I chose to "refresh" the Windows 8 install, meaning it would reset the install while keeping my files (even though I didn't have any, as I never got to use it). This took some time, but it worked, and it booted into W8.
The Boot Camp drivers had been removed though, so I had to reinstall them. After they had reinstalled, the computer rebooted and the same blue screen with the same error hit me.
Something tells me that some of the BC drivers are messing things up. I can't find any information on this elsewhere.
Would it be possible to install only selected drivers, to eventually find out which driver is causing the problem?
All help is greatly appreciated!I finally gave up, reloaded everything, this time, using WIn 8.1 Pro, not Enterprise. After I did the updates, patches, Norton 360, shut computer down and connected the external drives, and booted up...and got the BSOD. This time, I went to Microsoft and downloaded the Windows Debugger, and think I may have found the problem...NORTON!
Probably caused by : SYMDS64.SYS ( SYMDS64+71be6 )
Am conrtacting them, but, here's the Debugger output:

While running the setup.exe as admin for the mu_system_center_2012_app_controller_with_sp1_x64_dvd_1345042.iso the App Controller Setup crashes with "System Center Setup has stopped working" "A problem caused the program to stop working correctly.
Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available.". This happens during the Prerequisites step.
I have restarted the laptop several times and the OS is up to date. Is there a log that I can check for more detailed errors? What should my next step to troubleshoot?

Windows 7 crashes seconds after booting up.
Windows 7 is crashing everytime I boot up into it. I'm on a Mac Pro 2010 (MacPro5,1) with OS 10.7 Lion. The installation goes fine through Boot Camp Assistant, but after the "Windows Support Software" (Boot Camp drivers), downloaded through the Boot Camp Assistant and burned to a disk, installs and restarts, Windows 7 crashes. Any ideas?
I've spoken to Apple support twice. First time the advice was to reinstall everything including the BOOTCAMP partition. I did that. Windows 7 runs just fine until the "Windows Software Support" drivers are installed. The second time I call to Apple support I'm told there is no solution for this. He said maybe I could just install the drivers manually and not install the ones I don't need and see if that helps.I think there is some misunderstanding as to what is happening, when, and also why.
Pull all the drives other than the one Windows will be installed to.
To install Windows 7, nothing is needed.
Boot Camp Assistant included, unless you really want to share a drive with Mac OS on it also.
Nothing will get installed until after Windows is installed, and that is when Apple drivers are needed - except in some few cases (USB-DVD, MacBook Air, a trouble booting from a Windows DVD otherwise).
A Mac Pro does not need assistance booting Windows 7. It is as close as can be to a stock PC workstation.
Boot Camp from 10.6 work fine.
There has not been a tech note I've been able to find as to what BC 4.0 offers, maybe able to 'work around" the presence of the Lion Recovery partition - which itself is optional unless using FileVault2, and can be on another disk drive than the primary boot drive.
After Windows is installed is when you need to provide hardware drivers; Apple TimeServices; and others. You still will need ATI and Realtek after that.

Windows 7 Crash (Blue Screen) with Skype 6.18 on H...
Hi,
I think a lot of people are having the same problem with Skype 6.18 on HP Pavilion notebooks.
Windows 7 crashes during the auto-update or installation of 6.18
After about 3-4 hours of troubleshooting the Blue Screen / service exception error (in ks.sys) I discovered that it's caused by the HP HD Webcam [Fixed] driver (version is 6.0.1113.1 released 2012-11-20 (or 20-11-2012)).
The driver is written by Sonix and is unlikely to be updated. So you have the choice of going back to an older version of Skype or disabling the webcam / driver through Device Manager. As soon as you disable the driver / device Skype will install / start - but of course you won't be able to use video during Skype calls.
Hopefully Microsoft / Skype will fix the driver incompatibility in a future release.
Skype Support - the issue is with the HP / Sonix driver - file is snp2uvc.sys
There are similar issues reported with a previous version of the HP HD Webcam driver as well (SPUVCBv_x64.sys).
Please fix it. I'd like to use video in calls again! The best working solution at this time is to download and install Skype 6.14 and disable updates. If you still get prompts to upgrade you can ignore them and the program should continue to function as it has not been retired as of yet. Hopefully there will be a resolution in a future Skype update or an updated driver from HP that might resolve the issue.

After updating to Windows 8.1, Windows Explorer crashes.
Hello, I have recently updated from Windows 8 to Windows 8.1. When it finished the install and reboot, it went to my desktop where my background image was gone, Kaspersky Pure 3.0 was gone, and Windows Explorer crashes every time it is opened. The other
two problems are not as big of a problem right now so I searched around for a fix on this issue. I found that some applications, specifically Autodesk, were causing conflicts. I don't have Autodesk but I decided to update everything anyways. I reinstalled
Kaspersky, fully updated it and ran a scan to see if it was a virus, which it is not. I updated AVG 2014 free, Malwarebytes free, and many others. I also ran Windows Update. I ran CCleaner to see if it would fix the problem and it didn't either. I looked at
the error report and saw that it was caused by StackHash_35ff, which through further investigation turned out to be a fancy term for nothing. What is my problem? I really don't want to restore to an older version because I've spent the better part of the day
allowing Windows 8.1 to bother me. Please help because I'm out of ideas and nothing from other responses seemed to be the solution.Okay, so the above worked. I ended the Com Surrogate task, the went into cmd and typed in these two commands;
regsvr32 vbscript.dll
regsvr32 jscript.dll
Everything seems to be back in order. I hope this helps anyone who has the same problem, seeing as no one else came up with this solution. -
Windows Explorer crashes when plugging or unplugging ipod touch
Seems something is buggy with Itunes 7 or the Ipod Touch itself. This happens to me on 2 different computers, one Dell and one HP so I doubt seriously if it is the computers themselves. All of my drivers on both systems are up to date.
When I plug in the IPOD it will work and sync, however when I unplug it I get a windows explorer crash each time. Needless to say this is irritating as heck.
Anyone else having this problem?
thanks
Redy4itI have the same problem, even when i use the eject button. I hate vista but on my pc i have no choice but to run it. Never had any problems on my Macs. i also get a strange error on work pc running XP. It says at first that it doesn't recognize the device running in compatibility mode but then it switches over and works fine. I tend to blame it on Microsoft crap, maybe they are updating their OSes to mess with Apple products.

I wrote a VI for controlling 3 New-Era syringe pumps and a Eurotherm 3216 temperature controller.
The 3 syringe pumps are piggy backed one after the other, and the first syringe as well as the temperature controller are connected via USB-to-Serial to a YOGA2PRO idea-pad running a 64bit Windows 8.1 running Labview 2013
My problem is that the program causes windows to crash, resulting in the blue reboot screen with the error "Multiple_IRP_complete_requests"
This error occurs at different stages of the programs and can occur after 10 mineuts or after an hour of running.
When I transfer the exact same VI to a 32bit Windows XP Lenovo running Labview2012 the program runs without a glitch!
I tried rewriting the VI to account for communication collisions or timing issues but havent been able to solve this mystry!
For now Im running my program on the "old" computer, but I would greatly appreciate any help or suggestions on the matter. Here are all the files.
In addition, I removed all the unnecessary stuff from the code.
I have no reason to believe the crash occurs due to anything but the labview, because there is absolutly nothing else on the computer besides the OS.
and this error keeps hapening only when I run the program
Thanks again.

IPhone causes Windows to crash immediately when Camera app is on...
I sync my iPhone with two computers: an iMac for music, videos & photos, and my Dell Inspiron D860 running Windows XP for my work e-mail, contacts, and calendar.
If I have taken a photo with the iPhone and either leave my iPhone in Camera mode, or have even left any photos in the "Camera Roll" album in the Photos app, then my Windows PC crashes immediately when I hook the camera up for a sync. As soon as the USB cable makes a connection, I get an instant blue screen: informing me of a BIOS memory error and a message saying that Windows is shutting down to prevent further damage. So, I disconnect the iPhone and reboot the computer.
However, if I delete any images in the Camera Roll album of Photos and make sure that the iPhone is not running Camera when I plug it in, I can sync between the iPhone and iTunes on Windows XP flawlessly.
The irony here is that I have left the sync Photos box unchecked in iTunes on the Dell running XP. So, technically, nothing in the Camera or Photos apps on my iPhone should even be communicating with software on the XP system.
Have other folks experienced this problem? If not, perhaps I'm doing something wrong and would appreciate any insights!!
ThanksI finally nailed it.
i have a Acer Aspire notebook with orbicam and i had the latest driver from ACER but still had some problems on XP but deleted everything (Orbicam drivers and camera utility from Control Panel) also i verified that everything was gone in MY PC / Properties / Hardware / Device Manager / Imaging Devices (if not, uninstall the Orbicam from there.
then i restarted my computer and installed Logitech Quickcam utility version 10.5 from logitech site (from the Quickcam 4000) that i previously downloaded, everything went ok.. i restarted again my computer and my camera worked perfecty and also i was able to connect my iphone with photos in camera roll and XP detected it normally without any trouble. The only thing that came out after doing this is that my Orbicam appears in the SAFE DEVICE REMOVAL UTILITY right next to the other utility icons and the clock. i will try to solve this and post any coments.
I hope this info is useful for others like me with this issue. -

Hi
I am new on this forum.
I attempted to download Reader XI but my laptop (Windows 7) crashed at next reboot (blue screen before logon). Got Windows working again but now cannot uninstall Reader ("path cannot be found"). Attempted to install Reader X again but system said it was already installed.
Screen shots with error messages during uninstall attempt are below.

Greetings strepac,
Welcome to the Apple Support Communities!
I understand that iTunes is becoming unresponsive when you connect your iPhone and try to sync it. In this situation, I would recommend reading over the attached article and working through the suggested troubleshooting steps within.

Our Windows PC crashed with all our music on it. There are copies of both purchased (thru iTunes store) and from our own CDs on an external HD in a backup file. They are not linked to a Media file. Is there any way I can put this music on my new computer?
The syncing of music is one way, computer to phone. See this helpful document from a fellow user. Credit goes to the author.

Please reset NVRAM - Startup key combinations for Intel-based Macs - Apple Support and OS X Mavericks: Reset your computer’s PRAM. You have Bootcamp settings in the nvram that are causing problems.
