There is a known issue with the Logmein driver
We recommend updating to the current version http://help.logmein.com/SelfServiceReleaseNote?id=kA7a0000000CbB8CAK
Failing that I would revert to an older version until a non buggy driver is released.

I cannot run iTunes 11.3.1.2 and I cannot figure out how to reinstall the older version that it replaced. Any help?
For general advice see Troubleshooting issues with iTunes for Windows updates.
The steps in the second box are a guide to removing everything related to iTunes and then rebuilding it which is often a good starting point unless the symptoms indicate a more specific approach. Review the other boxes and the list of support documents further down page in case one of them applies.
Your library should be unaffected by these steps but there is backup and recovery advice elsewhere in the user tip.
If you've already tried a complete uninstall and reinstall try opening iTunes in safe mode (hold down CTRL+SHIFT as you start iTunes) then going to Edit > Preferences > Store and turning off Show iTunes in the Cloud purchases. You may find iTunes will now start normally.

Adobe illustrator cc2014 crashes at launch on my windows8.1 how do i fix it?
how do I get my illustrator to work on windows 8.1?
Kay,
There may be a number of reasons, some are covered by the following general list of things you may try when the issue is not in a specific file (you may have tried/done some of them already); 1) and 2) are the easy ones for temporary strangenesses, and 3) and 4) are specifically aimed at possibly corrupt preferences); 5) is a list in itself, and 6) is the last resort.
1) Close down Illy and open again;
2) Restart the computer (you may do that up to 3 times);
3) Close down Illy and press Ctrl+Alt+Shift/Cmd+Option+Shift during startup (easy but irreversible);
4) Move the folder (follow the link with that name) with Illy closed (more tedious but also more thorough and reversible);
5) Look through and try out the relevant among the Other options (follow the link with that name, Item 7) is a list of usual suspects among other applications that may disturb and confuse Illy, Item 15) applies to CC, CS6, and maybe CS5);
Even more seriously, you may:
6) Uninstall, run the Cleaner Tool (if you have CS3/CS4/CS5/CS6/CC), and reinstall.

Whenever I have firefox open and I need to type something using the onboard touch keyboard, the moment I activate the keyboard, Firefox freezes. I then receive a prompt saying Flash has stopped working. However, I have updated shockwave flash to the most recent one. Also, I noticed at intermittent times, whenever I change the orientation (portrait --> landscape) on my tablet, I get the same issue as above.
I am not sure if this is a Flash issue, or some sort of integration problem with firefox and the windows8 tablet features.I have tried that, but did not work. I switched over to Nightly which is still in beta, and it is much better. But still some flashsites like youtube still crash every so often....
Anyone have anything for this? -
Firefox crashes when scolling pages in youtube
I've been having this problem the last 2 weeks, more or less. Firefox crashes when on youtube when I start to scroll or even when I try to go to another tab.
It doesn't seem to be the plugin that crashes because when that crashes it usually doesn't crash the whole browser, when it's only the plugin that crashes you get the message "shockwave flash has stopped working" or something like that, and if you click on the stop plugin button, it just greys out the video frame; I've had this type of crash too, yesterday, but not on the youtube site, it was on another site, in a page with several youtube videos embedded, maybe the two things are related, I don't know, but this type of crash only happened yesterday, and I dont' even recall the last time it had happened.
The other type of crash, as I said, crashes the whole browser, but I also noticed that it doesn't save a crash report; today it happened several times, but the last crash report is the one from yesterday, from the plugin crash I was talking about!
Also, I tried with internet explorer, and all seems to work fine, no crash when I scroll or view videos on youtube; also yesterday, when the plugin was crashing repeatedly, I went in IE and tried with that, and all was working fine.
To sum up, Firefox crashes when scrolling down pages on youtube, not always, but a lot, sometimes when switching to another tab from youtube, yesterday the plugin crashed repeatedly in a page with embedded youtube videos, no crash report for the first type of crash, IE work fine in both cases.
Finally, hardware acceleration in the plugin is disabled, I tried having protected mode in the Flash plugin both disabled and enabled, and no update for my graphic card is available.

I also did a system file check and it says "Windows Resource Protection found corrupt files but was unable to fix some of them". In the log then, the only file that seems it was not possible to repair is "member file [l:36{18}]"Amd64\CNBJ2530.DPB" of prncacla.inf, Version = 6.3.9600.17415". The log is huge so I cannot copy it, I don't know if it's possible to upload a text file, but then again I don't think there's much more. As I said no graphics driver updates are available for my card. After the System file check I went to youtube and started scrolling up and down and the crash happened.Thank you for clearing that up. I have another idea. There is a feature called accelerated scrolling in Firefox, however there are also modules that might be associated with malware. Options > Advanced > General > Smooth scrolling (uncheck this to test)
Sometimes a problem with Firefox may be a result of malware installed on your computer, that you may not be aware of.
You can try these free programs to scan for malware, which work with your existing antivirus software:

I can no longer firefox anymore due to frequent crashes
Firefox now crashes for unknown reasons, it worked fine with new computer installed with windows8 for about 2 months then out of nowhere it started crashing with every new web search, now adobe flash has crashed so I have removed Firefox from my computer.
I have searched your website for answers none of them address the issue at hand. I have Norton's security but it also worked fine with Firefox for two months so nothing has changed all updates are current and still Firefox no longer works.
this is sad because it was one of the best web browsers avail.
but not anymoreyes i have just done just that, deleted my user profile and uninstalled Firefox and reinstalled Firefox and now it crashes the entire computer after a few web searches...it is simply not compatible with windows 8, what ever the developers did with latest version totally made Firefox unusable with this computer.
too sad for words, thanks for all your suggestions but its NOT fixable at this level.
I highly recommend Firefox, despite security issues, have a web page that contains earlier versions of Firefox that might work.
until then BYE BYE Firefox. -

I have the CS:GO installed on my new alienware 17 (june 2013) but when I try to run the game the game crashes and nothing shows up. it is note worthy when I disable the mSATA acceleration from Intel rapid storage technology (disabling Intel Smart Response
Technology) the game loads without any problem.
Either RAM and mSATA has been checked and are working correctly and have no errors. Other apps and games are working correctly. The system has the following Specifications:
Processor: 4th Generation Intel(R)Core(TM)i7-4910MQ processor
Memory : 32GB Dual Channel DDR3L at 1600MHz
HDD: 80GB mSATA Staging + 1TB 7200RPM SATA 3Gb/s
Graphics : NVIDIA GeForce GT 880M with 8GB GDDR5
Windows 8.1 Pro 64bit
And here are event viewer results of the game crash:

It is software related and either a problem in the game or the OS. You can check the OS by running a system file check but I suspect it is the game

Skydrive.exe crashes on Windows 8.1 Pro RTM
I'm trying to get Skydrive working on a fresh install of Windows 8.1 Pro RTM. When I go to Skydrive (show my files in skydrive) via the "metro" app, the view is empty. When I look at the skydrive folder in explorer.exe, it's also
empty.
I went to a command prompt running as an administrator and ran "skydrive /shutdown" followed by "skydrive" in order to reboot skydrive. When I attempt to start skydrive, I get two entries in the Event Log. The second event
viewer message refers to a file named Report.wer that contains info about the crash. I've attached the contents of both eventvwr entries and the contents of Report.wer.
I'm wondering if this has anything to do with Skydrive Pro being installed by the Office 2013 installer that comes from my Office 365 subscription.
Any thoughts on how to fix skydrive.exe?
Thanks,
-Ben

Benjamin Day - Microsoft MVP for Visual Studio ALM - http://www.benday.com/blogI think I found a fix!
I went looking at %LocalAppData%\Microsoft\Windows\SkyDrive\logs and found some messages in the SyncEngine*.etl files in that dir. (BTW, Visual Studio wants to open those *.etl files but it doesn't show anything. It's easier to open these
files in Notepad and wade through the mess of hex. Eventually, you'll come to readable text.) The messages were:
1) Failed to show/hide SkyDrive Shell Items, error code: 0x80070002
2) Unable to correctly read and parse the ClientPolicy.ini file
A quick search brought up some posts complaining about the Win-X shortcut being broken. (link)
I tried my Win-X key and it was indeed not working. That forum discussion led to
another forum post about Skydrive generating a lot of extra empty Skydrive folders in the user profile dir.
These posts suggested some commands to run from an Administrative command prompt.

I've seen plenty of these but none that I've come across have particularly helped me. I have a website that has a link that, when clicked, activates a remote session. Whenever the remote session attempts to start, the application crashes, faulting
ntdll.dll.

-KyleHi Kyle,
Please uninstall HP SimplePass and then test to see if the problem is resolved.
Thanks.

This worked for me.
For reference - only crashed when accessing a 2012 server through a gateway (didn't have one I could connect to directly at the time). Didn't crash when accessing a 2008 server directly. -
Firefox is running fine on most all pages. But when I am logged into my online banking page and try to go to certain links, firefox will crash. I have run a scan with antivir virus protection and made sure I have the most recent firefox browser. Any help is appreciated.
Thank you for clearing that up.
* [http://www.microsoft.com/security/scanner/default.aspx Microsoft Safety Scanner]
* [http://www.malwarebytes.org/products/malwarebytes_free/ MalwareBytes' Anti-Malware]
* [http://support.kaspersky.com/viruses/disinfection/5350 Anti-Rootkit Utility - TDSSKiller]
* [http://general-changelog-team.fr/en/downloads/viewdownload/20-outils-de-xplode/2-adwcleaner AdwCleaner] (for more info, see this [http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/download/adwcleaner/ alternate AdwCleaner download page])
* [http://www.surfright.nl/en/hitmanpro/ Hitman Pro]
* [http://www.eset.com/us/online-scanner/ ESET Online Scanner]
[http://windows.microsoft.com/MSE Microsoft Security Essentials] is a good permanent antivirus for Windows 7/Vista/XP if you don't already have one. Windows 8 has antivirus [http://www.microsoft.com/security/pc-security/windows8.aspx#antivirus built-in] already.
Further information can be found in the [[Troubleshoot Firefox issues caused by malware]] article.

Random successive crashes in AE CS6
Hello Adobe Community!
After effects CS6 crashes randomly about every 3 minutes or so. It just quits without any warning cough, or lag time. I only get this pop-up window when it's already too late. The crash doesn't seem to be triggered by any specific task I perform.
Strangely, I'm not even doing or using anything! My scene is close to an empty canvas, no RAM is being used and no external plug-in either. I made a dummy scene with a layer of type and a rectangle shape only, waited 3 minutes and it crashed, again.
All latest update for creative cloud were installed lately. My system uses Windows8 Pro 64bits, i7 processor, 16G of Ram and GForce GT 640M. It's a beautiful day, but I can't work...Find the exact crash details:

Elements Trial crashes upon opening
I own Elements 11 and Lightroom 5.2, both work without a problem, but Elements 12 crashes everytime I open it???
W7 64 proIt could be because PSE12 is still a 32 bit software. I haven't installed it yet on my windows7 and windows8 64 bit machines because I was expecting Adobe to release a 64 bit software in 2013!! Unfortunately, this was too much for Adobe to handle.
We can't make use of more than 3GB of memory on our machines and so it makes a mockery of buying good machines which we can't make use of!!!
Sorry I don't have a solution for you yet. -
Audition crashes when attempting to export.
Hello there. I'm using Adobe Audition CS6 on a Macbook Pro OSX. I'm trying to export a multitrack project out to a .wav file (or any file really at this point). Everytime that I try to export it I get an error message saying "Audition has encountered a fatal error and needs to shut down". I have also tried bouncing the project out and encountered the same problem. I went through some steps with an Adobe representative and cleaned out my cache files, renamed the libarary folder, as well as tried every single bounce and export setting in the software and yet I keep coming up with the same message. I even tried turning off and turning back on my computer just to be thorough and I have yet to find a solution.
Can anyone help please?
ConorI'm not an Adobe expert... but I play one on PC.
I have had some workaround success (not by definition a true fix as all the factors aren't documented or verified -- but hey I have a working theory and I was able to get "Adobe Audition CS6 5.0 build708" to stop crashing on the mixdown operation as is described in this thread) [Spoiler: For my PC, .NET was the issue]
Little background info:
I've been a level1 and a midrange engineer primarily in break fix, compatibility testing and a good bit of ITSEC (currently: Technical Coordinator)
OS i fixed the issue on: Windows8 (I suspect this will apply to Win7 and god forbid you are using it, but also Vista), i'm familiar and run Mountain Lion but unfortunately for the purpose of this thread; I only use Protools on that system (sorry Adobe.) -- And further this fix will definitely not apply to Mac (but that doesn't mean it wont leave clues to that issue)
Plain and SImple: I had the same panic attack experinced by others as I had a basically complete multi-track project mixed and all ready to export to lossless format -- and Adobe would crash "unexpectedly" (ironically it did it so much that I fully expected it) at the point in which I would try to execute an export. All other functions seemed fine except any form of export. I assumed because of this it was an issue with the Adobe software and I ended up here to no success.
My Issue turned out to be with "Microsoft .Net"; I examined my .NET features (control panel>> programs and features >> "turn Windows features on/off"). I had these versions tuned on:
Microsoft .NET 2.0
Microsoft .NET 3.0
Microsoft .NET 4.5
(your .NET features may not have these same builds, but it is the same idea; and sometimes you'll see .NET 3.0 maintaining earlier versions within itself -- but that's neither here nor there in respect to this issue).
I turned them all off (unchecked all three and accepted the changes "OK"). After which I went back into the "turn Windows features on/off" menu and turned on Microsoft .NET 4.5 (in the case of your PC I would have only turned on whatever the latest build was -- the higest number). I accepted those changes; rebooted my machine... opened Audition, and boom, bang like magic my exports worked perfectly in every format I attempted.
It should be noted that I was comfortable turning off previous versions of .NET because I know I don't run any sotwares that require an older version, there for I choose to isolate my .NET issues to a single version to deal with. You may be running softwares that require these earlier versions to be active in which case I would still have turned them all off originally, but I would have turned them all back on and tested for success (more realistically I would have ran with only the latest version turned on and exported my mixdown -- then proceeded with any other troubleshooting).
Stickier .NET scenarios:
-You determine that all installed versions of .NET are damaged, corrupted, or not present (i've seen all of the above)... Damaged or Corrupted (any scenario where it's all present but not functioning even after the above attempts), you would be attempting a .NET repair... if there is simply no versions as late as 3.0 present; you would go to Microsoft.com and download an .NET exe file to install from.
-If repair doesn't work on your damaged or corrupted files; you would then probably find yourself performing a manual uninstall, followed by a fresh installation.
In the case of have to perform a repair or manual uninstall/install Microsoft has some pretty intuitive walkthroughs @ Microsoft.com here is a kb from them that gets into the basics of both operations: https://support.microsoft.com/kb/908077
I hope this helps at least a single person get their project exported, and away from that panic attack.
