WIP - Internal order
Dear Guru's,
I need a clarifications regarding WIP caluclation for Internal order.
Our client use to run the WIP calculation for Internal order during month end. Even they use to run WIP for Internal order which doesn't have any actual cost for the month. As a result system is calculating calculated cost for finding the WIP for that month, even actual cost is not booked for that month in that internal order. So our client's requirement is that, system should not calculate WIP if Actual cost is zero for that month. But i saw system is caulcuating Calculated cost while running KKA1 which is almost equal to revenue of that month booked in the inernal order.
Few points to note:
1. Sale order is linked to internal order
2. Internal order is having revenue booked.
3. Actual cost not booked for the month
4. KKA1 is run to find the WIP(This client couldnt avoid since they have thousands of order during month end, unable to check each and every order)
5. WIP posting is done by using calculated cost caluclated by system during KKA1 run and settled to FI
6. Now system should not do WIP caculation if Actual cost is zero i.e. system should not calcaulted Calcualted cost if Actual cost is zero?
Kindly let me know if this approach is correct and provide us the soultion.
Regards,
Hem
Hi Hemkumar,
I presume when you say 'system should not calcaulted Calcualted cost if Actual cost is zero' you mean the periodic actual cost and not cumulative.
If this is the case you will have to go for RA enhancement.
With enhancement you can force the periodic calculated cost to be zero irrespective of revenue.
The revenue will go as revenue surplus in this case.
But before that I want you to try RA type and profit indicator as E, C and valuation basis I.
Note that it is not recommended that you ignore these orders from RA calcuation in any period.
You have to find a way to run the RA and get the desired results at the same time.

Down payment against the Internal Order - for Capital Expenditure
Dear friends
I am getting an error while making down payment against the purchase order.
The order of my entries or steps are as follows:
Created one internal order for Capital WIP with budget and availability control activation.
Created one purchase order against a vendor with reference to the above Internal Order.
When I am making the down payment to the vendor through tcode:F-48, the system throwing an error
"Define Cost Elements for Down Payments".
Can any one please explain why this error is coming. When I checked in Internal orders, there is a TCode: OKEP for Define Default Cost Elements for Down Payments.
System is asking for cost element, but where as what ever the down payment we are making is nothing but advance which is current asset. Why system is asking for cost element?
Can any one give me the guidance how to handle the issue.
Thanks in Advance
Kiran Kumar AThe reason is when you want the down payment for AUC to be capitalised, then you would need to create cost element for Downpayments.
Normally as per design of SAP, down payment being a Balance Sheet Account (Current Asset as you rightly mentioned) doesnot need / accept an Cost object, as a special case since down payments for AUC needs to be capitalised and hence need to be carried to Controlling (Internal Order) by creating Cost Element for Downpayments.
Go ahead and create the cost element. That would resolve your issue. -

Internal Order Cannot Be Closed
Upon attempting to close an internal order the system returns "There is still a purchase requisition commitment for ORD M4171B5D58." However, when I search for purchase requisitions tied to this order, the system says there are none. The purchase requisition has most likely been archived off.
How can I go about closing this internal order?
Thanks - points will be rewarded.Dear ,
You can take back the WIP by canceling Production Order Confirmation (CO11N/CO12) and also reversing the GI -261 in MIGO .
So you need to check the folloiwng steps :
1.Ask your MM person to check wether MM period are opened or not in MMPV
2.Ask your FI persion to check wther FI period is opend or not
3.Perfom CO13-Cancel Confriamtion of Production order .You can check in COHV/CO16N/CO13
3.You can reverse the GI through MIGO-262 or MBST
Check the Order status after reversing confirmation as well as GI and check the WIP stsatus of the Order -Costing-Select Costing trend or WIP .
Try and come back

Internal Order Receiver category.
Hi Gurus,
Please tell me the significance of receiver category in Internal Order master data.
And the receiver type following need to settle for which??
1. FXA - for Fixed Assets
2.CTR - for Cost Center for product costing
3.ORD - ???
4.G/L - ????
And in Control data of IO master data the significance of system status & Allowed transactions is for what ??
How can we know the order is locked and by whom ??
Thanks,
RajHi,
The signification of Receiver Category is Vital for
1. FXA- This will be Created as Fixed Assets and will be capitalsed in Books it will show in FA and in Asset Module it will be Asset in Asset Register.
2. Cost Center - Generally Maintenence orders will be settled to Cost Centers so that maintenance cost will be available on order basis as will as the cost will be captured in Correct cost center.
3. Order:- Generally in the Scenario where material issued against production order , in that case that will be settled against production order or Material (Finished Part) so that the status of WIP and Finished goods depends on the Order Status Like DLV(Delivered) or Tech (Techinically completed).
4.GL :- Generally in some companies they want to capture the Development cost seperately (mainly in Automobiles) so that all the expese to a particular order type will be settled to Particular GL (New Product Cost Account).

MIRO, posting at an assetnumber with a reference to an Internal Order
Hi,
At this moment I am busy implementing MIRO. There is one big obstacle. The company is making investments, these investments have an investmentnumber (no link with the future assetnumber) I want to register these investmentnumbers as a statistical internal order. At the moment when a purchase order is made for this investment, there will be made an assetnumber and in this assetnumber I have made it possible to refer to the Internal order number. When creating the PO-number (ME21N) I refer in the PO-number to the assetnumber and also to the Internal order number. The next stage is MIRO. I am entering the invoice, posting the invoice. The transaction in MM is showing me all the details (assetnumber and internal number). However the financial posting is not showing the internal order number. The field AUFNR is empty. And therefore SAP has also not created a controlling document. On the other hand, when I am posting this invoice directly in Fi (FB60) and entering assetnumber and Internal order number, SAP shows all these data in the posting line and there fore also generating a document in Controlling. My question is: Is it possible to post in MIRO at an assetnumber and also on an internal ordernumber, that is also be posted in FI and generates a posting in controlling?Hi,
Thanks for your reaction. However, the point is that I don't want to create any real postings on this Internal Order. In the current organisation the Internal Order is only used for statistical reason. And so I want to use the Int.Order functionality for managing investments. There for the internal order should also be statistical So therefore no real posting, no settlement and WIP accounts. The problem is that SAP is aware of this problem, see note 380748, but the correction program ZACORR138 is in release 4.7 present, but not working.

Open Items in GR/IR Account Internal Order wise
Hi,
Is it possible to view Open Items in GR/IR Account Internal Order wise?. We are assigning Internal Order in Goods Receipt and want to view Open items for the particular Order.
Regards,
AmanullahThanks for your response.
I already review the accounting and is pretty fine.
The system creates document type WE and RE for the Goods Receipt and Invoice Receipt.
Unfortunately in transaction FBLN the system shows as a Open Item, and honestly I don't know the reason.
I really appreciate any help for this issue.

Purchase order to Asset non imposed the Internal Order.
I'm entering a purchase order of an asset tied to an internal order of investment. The order has a budget X. If I enter a purchase order with value greater than the amount budgeted in the internal order, the system allows me to create the request and not imposed the internal order. In the report S_ALR_87013019, the order has no value released.
How can the system do not allow the purchase of assets with values greater than estimated and how to make that encumbers the purchase order and appear in the report S_ALR_87013019?
This only happens in the purchases of assets!
Thanks in advanced!
GLMacedoMy friend, see my answer to witch point.
1. Your Asset APC account should be Category 90 (Statistical) Cost element
The Internal Order is Statistical (I see in KO03). Should I verify in another place?
2. your Internal Order must be of category "Investment" and not "Overhead"
OK
3. Assign this Internal order in your Asset Master in the field "Investment Order"and not "Internal Order"....
OK
if Investment Order is not visible in Asset Master, change your screen layout of the asset and plug it in (IMG > AA > Master Data > Screen layouts)
4. Do settings in T code ACSET - Allow EAUFN for Trn Type = *, Acct Assign Type = APC Postings, and check the Acct Assgn check box
I don´t know how can I do this. How Can I Do?
Allow commitment management in your contr area OKKP and in your Internal order type (KOT2_OPA)
My type Order (investment) in KOT2_OPA is OK (commitment management was allowed). But in OKKP it is not! It is a critical setting. Should I flag this field?
6. Feield Status Group of Asset must allow CO/PP Order in OBC4
OK

SAP Report to track cost by Internal Order
Hi Expert,
for audit purpose, I want to track the Cost by Internal Order, please suggest me in sap have any report to track down?
below format is an example.
release code cost center internal order number PR number PO number SES number vendor name desc of item cost of item
Thanks.Hi Pal,
Many Thanks for your input, as per your recommendation
Mani as you suggested ME2K was working fine, but anyway we need to drill down further to double of each field.
As Nico suggested building a query, to view all at a same time is good & perfect to use.
So please suggest me, what are the tables and fields map to build a query? because Itu2019s very easy for me to assign fast.

Including down payment made to vendor in the internal order
Hi all
My requirement is like this.
We use IM and IO(Capex orders) for procuring and capitalising assets. We are able to assign all the costs of procuring assets (both APC and incidental expenses to the internal order). We use purchase orders and assign the internal order while raising purchase order.
Sometimes we do make Down payments(advances) without raising purchase orders. My question is how to include this down payment made in the internal order. We cannot assign any internal order while making the down payment. But, can we include this down payment made to vendor in the internal order(commitment) while making down payment or after that.
FYI:I came to know that there is some functionality in Controlling (Project systems) where we can assign the down payment made to the internal order after making payment. But, i do not know how to do that.
Pls somebody reply me.
Thank you very much in advance.

Vendor invoices to internal order
Hi Experts,
Create Asset Under Construction using asset class for AUC .
Create Vendor invoices to Internal Order (not to asset account) F-90
How can i create the vendor invoice to internal order..please send the transacction code and procedure ..with one example.
this is urgent ..
Regards
msrDear,
in F-90 only you can post the asset aquisition.
You should do it in F-43.
Before doing invoice for AUC - please check the GL account assign for AUC.where check the field status group internal order field it should be optional/required.......
After that go for F-43 ther you can find a internal order field as
Order
Don,t forget to assign points,if it helps you.

Production Order and Internal Order for each item of the sales order
Hi
I am developing Make To Order Report where I have to display the MTO Line Items and non MTO Line Items. For non MTO Line Items I have to display Internal order with Planned and Actual Costs and also Production Order with Planned and Actual Costs. Could anybody tell how to get the Internal order no and production order with Planned and Actual costs for each line item for a sales order.
Thanks
NagaHi,
You can get the Production orders, Planned orders, Internal orders generated for Sales order item from AFPO table (use fields KDAUF-Sales order number & KDPOS-Sales order item). Then to identify the order type use order category (AUTYP) from table AUFK.
Once you have the Production/internal order, you can ge the cost from COSS and COSP table. Use the object number from AUFK to get the cost entries from COSS & COSP.
You can use the following sample code as reference.
Hope this is helps.. (Don't forget to mark it... )
