Wire Payment Posting

Sap Gurus Help,
When i post a foreign currency vendor invoice, then generate a wire payment through the payment program and the conversion table calculates the gain/loss on foreign currency.
Then the bank gets the file and sends the foreign currency at a different rate since we are not using the bank rates. We are updating our foreign currency table from oanda.com.
How does the system update the foreign currency gain/loss after actual payment is done by the bank. And when i receive the Electronic Bank Statement what happens to the difference, how will the system post this to the gain/loss in foreign currency.
Please advise on the steps.
Will reward points.
Thank you.
P.

Here are a couple of things that you can check.
1. Go to FBZP and check if the payment method is in the country of the company code in which you are running the automatic payment run (also check in 'payment methods in country' if you have anything in allowed currencies.  If you have none, all currencies would work.  If you have specified any, it will work only for that currency).
2. FBZP - Payment methods in company code - Check if the payment method is assigned to the company code and in the same option (payment methods per country) check if foreign business partner allowed checkbox is checked in case your vendor's country is other than the country of your company code.
3. FBZP - Bank determination - Check if the payment method is having (a) ranking order and CoCd, (b) housebank/payment method (here again the same rule above applies to currency) is assigned to bank account ID and GL account, and (c) available amounts.  Value Date and Expenses/Charges are not important.
Good luck!
Assign points if it helps!!!

    Hi
I want a report of only wire payments for the month. Is any std report there ? or can any body give me idea how to make a report of just wire payments for vendor ?
    Thanks in advance

    hi Satya,
You need to configure a different document type for the payment method for wires.
    (1) Create a new document number range using transaction FBN1.
    (2) Create a new document type for wires and link it to the document number range created (OBA7).
    (3) Go to FBZP and select the "Payment methods in Country" button. Select the wires payment method, and in the "Posting Details" section, enter the document number that you created above.
    Please check out Form FPAYM_US_ACH.
Check whether Instruction key defined in transaction code OB47 will be helpful. The path is as under:
SPRO > Financial Accounting > Accounts Receivable > Business Transactions > Outgoing Payments > Automatic Outgoing Payments > Payment Media > Data Medium Exchange > Define Instruction keys.
If it is usefull.. pls assing me the points....

  • XRT Wire payments

    Dear SDN Friends,
I have recd a query which is explained below.
“XRT wire payments. Actually the issue is ,a vendor
has been posted a double invoice (it happened because ref no. was different) and respectively payment was made thru XRT wire  payment .and the documents have been posted respectively. This issue was noticed
later and now this  payment is to be reversed as the payment amount is around US$2 lacs. What steps can be taken to reverse this? Whether SAP allows reversal
of XRT wire payments. If it would have been a check it was not an issue.”
Please let me know your inputs

  • E-mail Notification to Vendor when wire payment is submitted.

    Hi
When the suppliers receive their wire payment they e-mail back the next day and ask for detail of payments. Does SAP have the capability to send an e-mail notification letting the supplier know in detail (inv#, date and total) what was paid?  This way supplier can post their payments correctly and not reach out to AP constantly for detail.
Can anyone please give the process steps in detail to configure this.I know that BASIS help would be required using SCOT transaction but more details is truly appreciated.

If you are talking about manually adding centered transitions to stills already on the timeline, then you have it right. Except the first and last one would be 8.5 seconds and the ones inbetween would be 7 seconds.
If you use "Create Slideshow", then you have a different situation. The "Create Sldieshow" feature trims the clips. You would need 13 seconds for each still. That would give you 7 seconds for the stills inbetween the first and last one. The first one would be 8.5 seconds and the last one would be 11.5 seconds, which is due to the way the transitions are aligned "end at cut" instead of centered.
Calculations for Create Slideshow using desired 7 seconds for still and 3 for transition:
    Inbetweens: 13 - 3 (trimming) = 10 - 3 (for transition) = 7.
    First one: 13 - 1.5 (trimming) - 3 (for transition) = 8.5.
    Last one is 13 - 1.5 (trimming) = 11.5.

  • Vendor Wire Payment Including "For Further Credit" Value

We process a decent amount of wire payments to our vendors.  We execute the automatic payment program (F110) and the wire instructions are transmitted via EDI to our bank who pays on our behalf.  More and more of our vendors are requiring we pay a bank account with instructions for a alternate/for further credit bank account and I can't find a standard way in SAP to accomodate this.
This isn't an issue of maintaining multiple banks in the vendor master and then using the partner bank pick one bank over another but rather when we transmit the wire to the specific routing# and bank account # it also needs to have some text that states "For Further Credit To XXXXXXX" (or Interim Bank XXXXXXX) where XXXXXXX is the name the vendor gives us to put in (usually some alpha numeric value but I suppose it could differ depending on the bank we pay).
I don't know why they can't just give us the account # they want the funds deposited in to but this is becoming more and more common place.  Currently these For Further Credit (FFC) payments are done manually through the bank's manual wire submission webpage (completely out of SAP) where we put in the bank details and populate the XXXXXXX value in the FFC field but are trying to automate it so we can initiate the wire payments out of SAP so they won't have to be manually submitted on the banks website and then subsequently clear the open vendor items against the payment.
We thought about creating a new Text ID and assign it to the vendor so that a line stating "For Further Credit XXXXXX" could be maintained and have it passed in the IDoc but that seems a bit convoluted and hoped someone has had experience in this area they'd be willing to share.
    Thanks in advance!

The reason why I started looking for another solution was because I couldn't figure out how to get it to work.  Admittedly didn't put a ton of time in to it but in FIBPU I did the following.
Put in the vendor # in question for an outgoing payment.
It lists the payment details maintained in the vendor master record.  I then double click the line shown.
We are paying a vendor in Taiwan USD so tried a couple things on the "Bank Chains for Creditors/Debtors" screen where on the left is the Dialog Structure and on the Right is the Recipient Bank Data with the selection section. It said this was the sender info but wasn't sure if this was the initial sender (our bank account) or the intermediary bank (the bank we pay in Taiwan who forwards it on). I entered the following records.
    Currency     BankCtryS     Bank Key S
USD     TW     ABNATWTP                 - This would be the bank if they didn't use a bank chain we would pay and it's in the vendor master
USD     US     071923285 -         This is the bank key of our bank in the US that we send the IDoc to to initiate the whole payment
I didn't maintain a Payment Method Supplement in either scenario which I believe to be ok. Initially I thought the TW bank needed to be the record entered but just tried putting in the US record and all of a sudden I'm seeing the records in REGUH I need in the fields below. So I guess the bank needing to be entered here is our bank that initiates the payment, not the intermediary bank that will forward it on.
    BNKS1                             Bank Country
    BNKL1                             Bank Key
    BNKN1                             Bank Account
I went in to the Bank Chain Assignment and maintained the following entry.  This isn't the actual one but just for testing
No              Type             Corr Ctry         Corr Bank Key  Bank Account
    1     3     TW     CITITWTX     00000-5135300
Afterwards I checked our IDoc (thankfully we use the standard RFFOEDI1 program and PEXR2002 type) and see that two new data records (E1IDB02 I3 and E1IDBL2 I3) are shown and contain the CITITWTX and 00000-5135300 value.
I am not 100% sure if the bank type is an intermediary bank (2) or a correspondent bank (3) as the vendor has requested we set them up as a "interim" bank but  in trying both options everything seems to work with the difference being the qualifier on the IDoc I2 vs I3.
Is that it?  Again, thanks for the insight!

    1. Check in OMWD, whether Valuation grouping code "0001" ia ssigned to Ur plant

    2. created data definatin and map it wiht Concurrent program name
    3. created RTF Template and mapped with data definaton.
    4. when i submit concurrent prgoram , with parameter as payment batchid, this report is working fine and getting necessary result

    my queries are
    1)
    Is my approach is correct?
    2) Is there any other way to get custom value in standard WIRE PAYMENT METHOD
pl. reply to me at the earliest
    REgards,
    siva

    Hi Siva
So when you run the program as part of the payment batch is your new program being called? If so, is it generating the data as expected?
If the above, then is your template being used?
Im guessing that the format program needs to be set up - Im not so familiar with R12 payments but it ought to be covered in the AP user guide.

  • Alternate Payee Number not capture during Manual payment posting (FBZ2)

    Dear Friend,
Appreciate if anyone can help me with below issue.
    Scenario:
    - Vendor master already been updated with the alternative payee number.
    - I have create a vendor invoice with payee data in the field BSEG-EMPFB.
    Problem:
When I perform FBZ2 - post outgoing payment and select the invoice created, the payee field was not updated automatically neither based from the original invoice nor vendor master. Furthermore, the field was greyed out during payment posting.
Pls help how can I cantured the payee number based from the original invoice during post outgoing payment.
    Thx.

    Hi Kiran,
Here is my answer to your Q.
    1. Have you given alternate payee in vendor master
    - YES, at the genral data->payment transaction and also at alternative payee in doc. I already insert the payee number.
    2. While doing FBZ2 in account give the alternate payee and when you go inside it tells no open items found
-NOT exactly, coz i dont use the alternate payee number for choosing open item. I use the same vendor code as per invoice.
    3. Click other items and click process open items there you will find the open invoice of the the vendors.
-NOT applicable as i already select the vendor based from the invoice to be made.
When I choose open item during FBZ2, entered the main vendor code as per invoice to be made. In the invoice, the alternate payee number is there already. Just during FBZ2 the field is greayed out, hence the payee number from invoice wav not adopted when manual payment was done.
I notice if i use the FBZ2, the payee field is not open for entry.
    Pls help.
    Thanks.

  • Define Withholding Tax Type for Payment Posting

Hey Guys, I'm configuring Withholding Tax for a company. I know the purpose for defining the withholding tax type for invoice posting, but do understand where is the Withholding tax type for payment posting used? Is it used for advance(down) payment or something else?
    Thanks,

    Hi ,
In some countries there is requirement that you need to deducted Withholding tax either at time of Invoice or payment which ever is ealier . so if you get Invoice first then you deduct the Withholding tax on Invoice and define the tax type and assign to company . but if you make paymnet first which we called advance or down payment then we configure Withholding tax on payment .
If a vendor is liable for withholding tax on invoice it may be liable for payment as well if you think you may pay some advances .

  • Withholding Tax Type for Payment Posting - Customer Accumulation -

We are using the Withholding Tax Type for Payment Posting for customer with the accumulation per month and checking the minimum/maximum withholding tax base amount to calculate the tax.
When we run the F110 transaction (Automatic Payment) the system creates a BIll of Exchange as Noted items and keep the accounting document created from the SD opened. After the customer pay the bill, the bank send a file informing the payment, then we clearing the accounting document.
But the system updated the WITH_ITEM Table and filled the fields AUGBL(Clearing Document) and AUGDT (Clearing Date) with the number and date of the BIll of Exchange that was created during the F110 running.
I am confused about this situation because according the Withholding Tax Type for Payment Posting, the system only could updated the table  WITH_ITEM  with an accounting document. Noted items are not an accounting document.
I would like to konw if the system is working properly, or can have something wrong in our configuracion?
    Thanks and regards

  • Withholding tax-payment posting

    Dear all
I am getting an error in which with holding tax calculation for payment posting is not calculated when we enter the invoice f-43. But it shows withholding tax is activated when i enter an invoice. What should i do?
Another error which I am getting is TO43G is missing. This error comes when I enter payment posting in f-53. What should i do? It is related to tolerance group.
    Thanks in advance,
    A. Anandarajan.

    Hi Anandarajan,
Regarding first error,  Check your WHt tax type setting. there is a sel. tag for post w/tax amount. check whether it is ticked or not.
In relation to second error create tolerance group for vendor account. Following is the menu path for the same.
IMG -> Fin Actg ->  AR/AP ->  Busi Tran -> Outgoing payment -> Manual Outgoing payments -> Define tolerances (vendors)
    Hope it helps you.

  • Intercompany payment posting after Foreign currency valuation - F.05

    Hi Gurus,
I have an issue with intercompany payment posting after foreign currency valuation run.
    Build Up:
Let me give you a brief description first. Company u2018Au2019 has open items from Company u2018Bu2019. Basically Company u2018Au2019 charges management fees from Company u2018Bu2019.  Both companies have a local currency of u2018EURu2019 and a group currency of u2018USDu2019. The open items posted in company u2018Au2019 have been accumulating for two years now. In January of this year finance decided to run the foreign currency valuation (F.05). The method they used was the reversal method. So at the beginning of the next month the entries from the valuation were reversed. They repeated this in February as well. Note this is the first time the foreign currency valuation was performed in SAP, before it was done manually. After February they never ran the foreign currency valuation run.
    Issue:
Now what is happening is, when open items that have been accumulating for over two years and are before the foreign currency valuation run are cleared (payment is made) there is a exchange rate loss/gain. When the open item is cleared there is posting to the G/L account for Balance sheet adjustment and also an exchange rate loss/gain G/L account.
    Posting:
    Debit u2013 Cash
    Credit u2013 Customer (intercompany)
Credit u2013 Balance sheet adjustment account (unrealized loss)
Debit u2013 Profit and loss account (realized loss)
The balance sheet adjustment account that is posted to is from OBA1 u2013 KDF u2013 balance sheet adjustment account in the foreign currency valuation accounts. Currency translation account determination is empty in OBA1.
I understand the system while payment posting is clearing/offset the unrealized loss/gain and posting the realized loss/gain. But how is this possible, when the foreign currency valuation run was done the entries were reversed so there was no unrealized loss/gain posted.
Also another caveat: Isnu2019t foreign currency valuation for open items that are posted in foreign currency and need to be revaluated to local currency. Well that is what is puzzling the open items posted in company u2018Au2019 are posted in local currency u2018EURu2019 so the foreign currency valuation should not affect these open items, correct? And if this is true then when the open items is cleared the unrealized loss/gain should never be cleared since there is none posted the exchange rate difference should only be posted to the realized account in the profit and loss correct? Please help? I can explain further if needed?
    Thank you.
    Comments and facts:
Companies fiscal year is June u2013 May.
Company u2018Au2019 and u2018Bu2019 have a local currency of u2018EURu2019, group currency is u2018USDu2019
The invoices in Company u2018Au2019 were posted in u2018EURu2019
The foreign currency valuation was only ever run in January and February of 2010.

    HI ,
I believe becuase you did not enter any date that's why they did n't reverse automtcially . You need to enter to reverse.
now you can use f.80 mass reversal for all of them
    Many Thanks
