Wireless and ePrint with Photosmart D110

Hi
Recently changed router and printing stopped. Printer was reconfigured to router and the wireless test was successful. When I try to install the driver on the laptop, it wont recognise the IP address that the printer shows.
So I tried the ePrint function which prints the email but not the PDF attachment. Got excited that there was this function but seems flawed.
Any ideas

Welcome to the HP Support Forums. I see that you’ve had some problems printing since changing your router.
I have included a link to HP’s Wireless Printing Center – Troubleshooting Issues page. Please click on the + beside “Your printer was working over the network before, and now isn’t.” Within that section please click on the + beside “Was anything changed or updated on your wireless router recently?”. It will walk you through getting the printer onto your new wireless network.
For the ePrint feature of your printer, I have included the ePrint Job Did Not Print document. It will walk you through different things to check as to why your pdf document did not print when you sent it to the printer using ePrint.
If you run into any issues with the above, please let me know at which step things went awry. In addition please also include in your post the contents of any error messages and what operating system are you using on your computer (whatsmyos.com).

Advice to extend range from Time Capsule - wireless and ethernet with Airport Express and Airport Extreme

Current wireless network is Time Capsule (connected to a Cisco router, 1GB switch to servers and printer 1) to Airport Express (wireless) and to Airport Extreme (wireless). Distance means poor signal at the Extreme which has 2 printers (ethernet cables) and an iMac (wireless)
Solution is to connect the Extreme to the Time Capsule via Cat 6 ethernet cable
How do I configure the TC and the Extreme?
I will keep the Express for a wireless extension to the TC

Wired Ethernet from the TC to the AirPort Extreme will result in much better performance. It sounds as if you are not configuring the AirPort Extreme correctly.
Please try the following steps carefully:
Unplug the Ethernet cable from the AirPort Exteme if it is not already unplugged. With the AirPort Extreme powered on, hold in the reset button on the Extreme for 10 seconds and release. Allow a full minute for the Extreme to restart
Connect the Ethernet cable to the WAN "O" port on the Extreme.
Click the AirPort icon at the top of the Mac's screen and wait a few seconds for a listing of New AirPort Base Station to appear. Just below that, click on AirPort Extreme.
The example below displays an AirPort Express. You will see AirPort Extreme.
AirPort Setup will open up automatically and take a minute to analyze the network, then announce that the Extreme will be configured to extend the Time Capsule network.
Enter a device name that you want to use for the Exterme and click Next
Wait a minute while AirPort Setup configures everything for you. When you see the message of Setup Complete, click Done.
That's it. Pretty simple. Things should be working fine now.

Printing quality problem with Photosmart D110

The printing quality is very bad after we changed the catridge. The printer keeps saying that there is catridge jam. But after I followed the steps by the printer, the problem is still unsolved. What is the possible reason and how could I solve it?

I'm willing to guess that you've never had ePrint work when sending from this e-mail. It appears from the message that the e-mail is being blocked at the initial gateway of the HP servers which segregates known domains (like gmail.com, yahoo.com, etc) from the ones it doesn't recognize (like rr.com, cingular.att.com). I have a strong feeling that "tesco.net" is one of those it's filtering out (but this is a speculation as I do not have access to the algorithims in place for the servers).
Try sending a print job from a GMail account or a Yahoo account if you have access to one and see if you are capable of doing this. If so, set up an auto forward rule in one of these accounts to forward any e-mail sent to it to be forwarded on to the ePrint e-mail address. I've tested this here in our offices and have success.

To make the most of wireless and eprinting, can I leave my printer on constantly?

Wasn't sure if leaving on would cause problems....appears to be a power down mode of some sort.

Leaving the printer on should be just fine. The power down is the unit's power-save, or sleep mode, which means that while the printer isn't being used, it will consume the absolute minimum amount of power until it receives a print job. Because of this, I actually recommend leaving it on constantly so that it's always ready to print.

Laptop won't install drive for photosmart d110! Tried several attempts. Trying to use wireless print

I'm using Windows vista, 64-bit operating system and a hp photosmart d110 all-in-one printer. I have automatic updates installed and recently installed AVG PC Tuneup. I have attempted several uninstall/installs of the printer. I can get the printer software to download from hp website, but my laptop won't recognize it. I've been using this printer with the same Toshiba Satellite A505 laptop for the past year and have had no problems until now. I've also uninstalled the AVG Tuneup, as I thought it may have disrupted something, but still no changes. I keep getting the troubleshoot triangle on my computer image under the device/printer page. When I troubleshoot it says device needs driver installed. I click apply fix, but it is always unsuccessful. I can't completely uninstall the original hp software uploaded last February. Not sure why, but I've tried all morning.

I found the solution myself. I kept working on it, as my inital feeling was that HP wasn't going to be very helpful. I'm appreciative of your response, but it may be helpful to correspond back with more than a one question sentence. When presenting our problem, we are to give very descriptive details. As neither one of us, has all day to sit around and wait for emails, it would be helpful to suggest a few things that may be wrong. Thus, the process of elimination could actively be started. Thanks for your time anyway.

EPrint and Network Problems Photosmart All-In-One D110 Series

Any help would be extremely appreciated as I have spent several days trying to figure this out with not much prevail! My product installation said installed properly. Blue wireless light is on in front of printer. Shows onine and ready in printers and devices on control panel. For quite a few days I could get it to print from PC but not take advantage of wireless features. I could not set up web services as it gave me an error saying "no connection". FINALLY!!!... by setting up a manual I.P. in network settings for the printer I was able to set up web services. I installed iPrint on my Android and that works wonderful. However, I cannot print from email. When I open ePrint it still shows offline. When I open my network map it shows my printer at the bottom of the page and says "The following discovered device can not be placed in the map." I have run all the diagnostics and all come out successful. The network diagnostic kept saying my McAfee was blocking the printer. I've read and read and reread the directions on how to solve this. Thought I've allowed all HP permissions and ports and still McAfee blocks my printer. When I disable McAfee network diagnostic completes successful. However, with McAfee disabled, I still have the other troubles. And now the diagnostic for network will not even open it shuts down with an error unable to finish program. I am running Windows 7. I have the wireless printer installed with no USB. I have a DSL cable and a Linksys router. If someone can please help me. I bought this thing along with new computer 2nd week in Feb. and have not been able to get it working properly and am ready to tell HP to take it away!! I haven't even been able to enjoy my new computer with all this installing - reinstalling - reading forums - talking with tech support. THANK YOU!!!!

Is your windows up to date (do WIndows Update over and over until there are no more) and your McAfee up to date? This seems like a Windows or HP software thing to me.
I assume uninstalling and reinstalling does not do the trick?

Can No Longer Connect Wirelessly to HP Photosmart D110 after Comcast All-in-One Modem Upgrade

I just replaced my former modem +router setup with a new "all-in-one" "Wireless Gateway 1" modem from Comcast (model # TC8305C). The setup guide for the new modem states: "The Wireless Gateway 1 is an all-in-one product that connects XFINITY internet and home networking. It provides wired and WI-FI connectivity, so there's no need for a separate router." I was previously able to connect wirelessly to the Photosmart D110 from my laptop. When I tried to update the network information on the printer sing the printer's Wireless Setup Wizard, the network name did not appear in the list of available networks. I added the name, as requested, and then added the network password associated with the new modem. However, the printer's Wireless Network Test Report said that "the printer cannot find my wireless router." Specifically, the Test said that the new network name was found, but said that the passcode was incorrect. I repeated the setup 3 times and did type the network passcode correctly. Will the printer not work wirelessly due to the new all-in-one modem? Is there a way to remedy this? I apologize for being pathetically non-technical, and would be grateful for any assistance! OK, first wireless Gateway (modem/router combo) units are terrible for wireless connection. It is always, always best to use a separate modem and router in your network that YOU have control over instead of Comcast. If you have your old router it would be best to call Comcast and have that Gateway put in Bridge mode (disables the router section) and connect your own high quality router. With that said, let's try this. Set the router to a fixed wireless channel like 1, 6 or 11, never 'auto'. If you still can't connect, remove all security off the routers SSID. Now try to connect to your SSID with no security. Are you successful?

HP Photosmart D110 connectivity issue with Windows 8.1

Month back, i have upgraded my Dell inspiron to windows 8.1 and from that time onwards i am facing issues with connectiveity to HP photosmart D110 printer over my wireless network.
I installed the printer driver, once it is installed fine. i can see the printer, take out few prints. Then i shutdown my laptop. Next time i reboot. I launched HP Solution Center and turned on my printer. It showed up problem with with HP solution center saying " HP Solution Center can not run becuase your device installation is not complete" i have to the printer and devices setting on control panel i could see the printer but it is offline. I checked my connections with the printer. also ran the wireless network test. Everything comes fine.
To resolve the problem, i thought may be let me re-install. I finished reinstalling and then it worked fine. But every restart i faced the problem. I add the add the same printer again and again everytime using installation and reinstallation. This sucked. I googled and downloaded HP doctor software. That fixed the problem so far and i had to run the doctor connect the printer everytime.
Now even HP doctor is not working, it list all the multiple installation of the same printer and none of them gets connected. This is getting little crazy for me.
I need some advice, I appreicate your help in looking into it. If someone has some suggestion to deal with Windows 8.1 and have faced similar problem or can suggest some solution. I will be greatful.

Hi,
When using "beta" version of any software (even with NEW full software), users have to accept the risk of some hardware do not proper functioning. Many HP test guys/girls may face this similar problem in their test lab(s), they may be able to find a solution OR push it back to Microsoft to fix the problem, therefore users (you and me) have to wait.
I woul remove/unistall its driver then start from beginning.

Photosmart d110 won't scan with Mac OS X 10.9

"HP Scan" utility used to work correctly with my iMac and hp Photosmart d110 printer/scanner. Since updating to Mac OS X 10.9.5, the scanning no longer works. I've downloaded most recent scanner drivers, and installed multiple times. Connection is hardwired USB.
Multiple symptoms: "can't connect" errors, or scans very slowly and generates a black blank page. Printing works fine.
(Windows laptop scans correctly, with wireless connection to the d110.)

The HP scan app is no longer available for Mavericks, scannign can be done from Image Capture or Preview:

If that fails as well, try updating the software by following these steps:
Click the Apple icon, then select Software Update.
Click the top Store menu and click on Reload Page.
Be sure to install any HP or Apple update, then try scannig again.

HP Photosmart D110 - detail missing when printing tickets and statements

When printing on line tickets or bank statements, the form itself (heading, column heads, etc) prints, but the personal detail data that is on the form does not show. The print preview screen shows all the data. There is no error message. Printer works fine for email and most other documents. Spread sheets and word documents also only show partial data. This is a recent occurance; but there had been no previous problem.

Hello, I noticed you said "Network via Wired" and then said "wireless. I will gladly to assist you. Just to you let you know, you cannot be WIRELESS and WIRED NETWORK (Ethernet). You can be WIRELESS and plug the main PC in as USB cable. So here are some steps to downloading the drivers and connecting your MAIN PC (USB) and the others (Wireless).
Connecting to the MAIN PC wired (USB)
1. Connect the USB cable from the printer directly to the main PC.
2. Download the drivers from the website (http://goo.gl/BVOOg), or if you have the CD.
Note: Whenever you download the software and drivers from the website. Make sure to choose the FULL FEATURE SOFTWARE.
1. Choose Drivers and Software
2. Type in Product name (click search)
3. Choose Operating System (click next)
4. Choose Download (scroll down to the FULL FEATURE SOFTWARE)
5. After downloading the Software, it will EXTRACT
6. It will give you an option on how you want it connected
7. You will choose USB for the Main PC
Connecting NETWORK WIRELESS
1. Go to Settings on your printer
2. Choose Network
3. Choose WIRELESS SETUP WIZARD
4. This will search for your router (If wireless). Choose your router and it will set the printer up wireless.
5. Go to the other computers and follow the steps above on downloading the drivers.
6. When it comes to SELECT Connection, Choose (Wireless/Network)
This way, you can print from your main PC through (USB wired), and the other computers wireless.
If your ROUTER is not wireless, and you only can use the network with a cable (Ethernet), then you can only print by plugging the ETHERNET cable from the router to whichever PC your choosing to print from at the time. Also plug another Ethernet cable from the router to the printer.

OSX 10.6.8 issues with hp photosmart D110

I used to be able to print and scan from my iMac running 10.6.8 to the hp photosmart d110. Now, it doesn't show up as a bonjour device. When I ping it, I get access denied. Still air prints from iPhone and iPad. Works with win 7 machine. Any ideas why this happened?solutions appreciated.

Thanks for the post. With this one, have you changed/replaced routers recently? Moved it to another location? Since you can Airprint sucessfully, I don't suspect it is a hardware wireless radio issue. I can't use eprint for my hp photosmart d110. it is all set up but won't work. help!

I set my HP Photosmart D110 up last night and everything is all set. It is on the wireless router, I went to HP Eprint and set up the email address and it shows on there that everything is connected and ready to go. When I send an email attachment to have printed I recieve an email that it has been recieved by eprint and then on the eprint page it shows that it is waiting. After about 10 minutes the status goes to failed. I have printed the test pages and wireless info and everything is connected. What do I need to do?

What is it you are trying to print?
Try printing a test without the attachment. Put test on the subject as well as the body of the email.

Extremely slow printing with hp photosmart d110

Recently, I've had extremely slow wireless printing from my laptop to our HP Photosmart D110 series printer. The printer is part of our wireless network and is used by my business laptop and our home laptop. When I send a simple Excel spreadsheet to print, the printer screen says, "Printing", the on/off light flashes and it looks like it's printing. But it takes 1-2 minutes for the document to finally print. This problem does not occur when we print from the home laptop; things print instantly. No updates or system changes before this problem started.

1-2 minutes! Try 10-15 minutes on my Photosmart. These things are junk. I have discussed my many issues with phone support 10-12 times in the last six months with no progress.
