Wireless Epson all in one workforce 635

I'm having difficulty using this printer. The printer is being shared wirelessly on our network and 2 computers using 10.4.11 work fine. However, after I install software on macbook pro, I can only print then. When I attempt to print after I shut down or put computer to sleep, I get the message that the printer is copying the print data. After a couple of minutes, the message then changes to:
/library/priners/epson/injetprinter2/filter/rastertoescpll.app/contents/macos/ra stertoescpllfailed
Macbook pro, sys 10.6.6
Epson 635, Driver version 8.37
I've requested assistance from Epson, but they've responded that as long the printer is working without the computer there is no problem with the printer. Must be my computer.
I've reinstalled the software 4 times using either the cd or from epson's site.
Help, please!

2/26/2011 ... I resolved this issue by removing all other printers on this macbook pro. At some point, I'll add at least on of the other printers back.

Epson All-in-One can no longer scan.

I own two different Epson All-in-One printers that worked perfectly fine for Wi-Fi scanning. Now, they do not appear anywhere as a scanner. I have ensured all software and drivers are current.

Which model Epsons are they?
I'm assuming you're using Yosemite (OS X 10.10), and that the problem developed when you upgraded from a previous OS.
(Your profile says 10.6.7 BTW).
Maybe the scanning function is not compatible with Yosemite.
You could try a few things:
reset your wifi system:
power down everything: modem, router, computer, printer/scanners.
wait a minute.
power them all up again, in that order: modem, router, computer, printers. Let each power up completely before going on to the next.
try a factor reset on your printer/scanner (if there is such a function). You'll have to check your manual for how. If you do that you'll have to enter the wifi password in your printer/scanner, assuming you have security on your network.
uninstall any printer manufacturer "utilities" that are on your Mac, and try Image Capture again.
If it is a compatible software issue, you could try VueScan, but I've never needed to use it.

AirPrint is an iOS 5 protocol. It is not used on the Mac or Lion. What you *can* do is add the wireless printer to you network and print from the mac using that.

HP Officejet 8500 wireless A909g all-in-one printer

Just some information for those who have HP Officejet 8500 wireless A909g all-in-one printer. I purchased one in June, 2010. The yellow cartridge was empty as of Dec. 20, so I replaced it with a brand new genuine HP yellow cartridge. The result was a sort of dull, dirty-looking yellow mustard color. I called HP tech support, and was advised to remove and clean all the ink cartridges and printheads, replace them in the printer, and print a document. The problem was not corrected.
I was then asked to remove the printheads and replace them with the new HP printheads that I had purchased after buying the printer, for backup. This corrected the problem 100%. Since this happened before the expiration dates for the printheads, HP is shipping me, at no charge, brand new printheads. I commented that I've used HP color printers for 12 yrs., & never had to replace printheads within a 6-month period. I was advised that this seems to be a problem with all of the 8500 models. The tech support was excellent, and very courteously supplied by a very experienced technician.

I, too have used HP printers only for 12 years and had nothing but the best in tech sppt. Thinking along those lines, I purchased an HP laptop. Worst experience of my life!!! There is nothing in the way of cust. svc even tho the warranty is 4 yrs. Don't know if I will continue to purchase HP printers, but most certainly will NOT ever purchase another laptop. May leave HP altogether after my last experience. I had an issue with the MB. Notified them and they wanted me to send it back. I could but only if I were allowed to remove the harddrive and RAM because I have approximately 47 clients' ledgers on my system. Was told that would void my warranty and also was told I could NOT take it to a local HP facility. Was never told why. I'm an IT graduate with certs in many areas. Was told I could not repair it myself. Still cannot understand that. Purchased an Acer and have had no issues so far. I'm still very bitter and probably will not get over it. I had a local business that I consult with ask me what products (printers, laptops and servers) I would recommend. They were looking at quite a few HP devices. I had to advise against those because of my experience and explained that to my client. That may have cost HP between 15 and $20,000. They should be very careful how they treat their customers. It could come back to bite them as it did with the client I spoke with. Just because a customer is just 1 person with a very small footprint, doesn't mean you can treat them this way.

My Epson Perfection V500 photo scanner stopped working when I upgraded to Yosemite. The only scanner available is my Epson All-in-One.

I installed the new Yosemite operating system even though I was afraid something bad would happen. Well. it did. I can no longer scan photos using my photo scanner. You may have already done so, but if not...
Try a different USB cable.
Reboot your computer
Launch Disk Utility (in the Utilities folder) and Repair Disk Permission
in the left pane, click once on the name of your hard disk
in the right pane, click on the First Aid tab near the top
under the blank window, click the button "Repair Disk Permissions."
Afterward, click the "verify disk" button and it will check your hard disk.
Now, try your scanner...

Airport Extreme connects to Epson all in one printer, scanner doesn't work

I got a new Airport Extreme to connect my all-in-one printer, copier, scanner Epson CX8400. Connecting the printer feature to my MacBook Pro and my HP laptop was very easy, however can't get the scanning feature to work. Has anyone had this same issue? Do you know how to solve it other than plugging the USB cable directly to the computer? thanks!

Does the Epson CX8400 support scanning over WiFi/Bonjour? I know my two HP Photosmart printers and my Epson I have do not support scanning over WiFi/Bonjour, despite the fact that they support printing functionality.

Trouble connecting Photosmart Wireless e-All-in-One to Network

Hi,
I'm a university student and have today just bought the all in one printer stated above. It didnt come with a USB cable and so I have to connect it wirelessly. However, it won't connect because my wireless network is supplied by the university and is unencrypted but has a login page when you boot the browser. Does anyone know how to connect to a network like this? Any help would be MUCH appreciated.

This is not going to be possible.
However, you may be able to connect your printer to your computer wirelessly, but it will not have Internet access.

Epson all in one printer - compatible with 10.9.5? Cannot import from scanner in Preview

Got a new Epson printer. Set up is fine; wirelessly connected. Downloaded and updated all drivers. Still cannot import from scanner into Preview. Anyone else? Seems like this was a problem in 2013 as far as I can see from other forum discussions. Any advice? Scanner works manually so it's the set up, compatibility or...?

What do you mean "import from scanner to Preview?"
Does the scanner actually scan, if so what file format (jpg, pdf, tiff, etc...) are you scanning in? Once you have successfully scanned simply open Preview and open the file. Another method is selecting the scanned file, right click and select Open With and select Preview.

Cannon has reasonable ink price and usage and you have the
ability to replace the print head if it ever clogs (that's
what always happened with the Epson's).
Actually, Epson's print head design is very different from Canon and HP. They put the "head" in printer not cartridge. This way you can keep re-using print head and save "resource", but it also means the print head nozzles would clog by dried ink or dirt. Indeed, the Epson cartridge is not cheap, it is because its ink can produce better quality of prints.
The alternitive way is to use Continuous Ink System, check this out -

Scanning problem with HP Photosmart Wireless e-All-in-One B110 series

I have installed the captioned printer with my iMac.
The printing and the copying functions are fine, but the scanning function simply cannot work.
I have tried scanning photos to the computer using the available software, i.e. iPhoto, Preview and Image Capture. However, none of them worked. The following error message kept popping up:
The scan cannot be performed because another program has control of the HP imaging device.
Try the following steps. After each step, try scanning again
- Restart the program.
- Close all programs that may be using the device.
- Reboot the computer.
I have tried all the steps, but the problem remains.
I have also tried to use the scanner directly through "Print & Fax" in "System Preferences". Whenever I clicked the "Open Scanner" button, the screen showed the message "Trying to open scanner session..." and then ended with the message "Failed to open a session on the device."
Could someone help me solve the mystery? Thanks a lot.

I had the same problem when I had installed the HP software for that printer on a standard user account on the mac.
After I had uninstalled it and installed on the standard user account and installed the software on an administrator account on the mac, it worked.

How do I undo the last Mac update for my epson all in one. It did work beforehand but does not now.

Yesterday I installed an Apple update for my Epson printer, but I cannot now print! Any ideas.

Restore backup taken prior to update.
