Find where on the computer the song files are.  Then go into iTunes, use the command File > Add Folder to LIbrary, and navigate it to the folder(s) that contain the songs.
If the files are in MP3 format, they will be added to iTunes immediately.  If they are in unprotected WMA format, iTunes will convert them (one at a time) and add theconverted copy to the iTunes Library, leaving the original in place.

  • Import HDV files from Windows PC?

Hello. One of my friends has an HDV camera (Canon Vixia HV30) and a Windows PC. He will be shooting footage and sending me the raw HDV video on an external hard drive so I can process it in iMovie '09.
It's not clear to me how I can import these files into iMovie Events. Is it as simple as File -> Import Movies? Do I need to rename the Windows files to .MOV so that iMovie will recognize them?
    Thanks!

  • Split & Import WMA file from windows to mac

I have bought several wma files online that are rights managed that I want to play on my ipod. A few days ago, I found a workaround to getting them from the internet to my ipod - download file on the windows side of my mac (I have XP installed and use boot camp), play for a few seconds on the windows media player to acquire the license, burn to CD and then go back to the mac side and use CD to download songs to itunes, then to ipod. Works great except for this problem:
I just bought a file that is too large to get onto an audio CD. I am trying to use software to split the file but I think the license is preventing me from doing this. Anyone have a suggestion?

I'm not sure that solves my problem. I still have to start on the windows side to acquire the license by playing the file a few seconds on a windows media player. Then I have to burn the file onto an audio CD in order to import it into itunes on the mac side. My problem is the size of the file is preventing me from burning it onto a CD. I'm not sure how a program like Switch would help.

Yes, definitely there’s a way to import OLM file to Windows Outlook 2010; in addition not only 2010 although to 2013 as well however it would be by means of a third-party converter utility.

  • Unable to Import RAW files

I have a new Canon G10 camera and have been experimenting. Today I took some RAW format photos. I am currently using OS 10.4.11
iPhoto 6 will not import these files; a window of 'Unreadable Files' is headed by "The following files could not be imported (they may be an unrecognized file type or the files may not contain valid data)."
Each file is in the following format '/private/var/tmp/folders.501/TemporaryItems/iPhoto/IMG_0638.CR2'.
Can these be imported? If not can they be downloaded to one of my Macs for later use when I get something like Elements?

Image Capture is in your Applications Folder.
A Card Reader is a very good buy:
it’s safer: Less risk of your images being lost if your camera shuts down during transfer.
It saves the battery on your camera
It saves wear and tear on your camera ports
    It’s almost always faster.

  • Very slow opening PDF files from Windows Explorer

When I open a file from within Acrobat X Standard - whether through File>Open or the recent files list - the file opens very quickly.  When I open a PDF file from Windows Explorer, it takes 10 seconds or longer for the file to open.  Is this an Acrobat issue or a Windows/system problem?  (I don't experience the same delay when opening Word and Excel files from Windows Explorer.)

I had to install adobe reader, but   PDF's used to display just fine with IE, any idea what happened ?

    Dear all,
I created a script which will place text from rtf files present in a folder to an active document on different page based on match. I am using a preset name "myRTF" which i will use when i import rtf files without script.
Is there a way to include this preset in script?
I have checked many places....... but did not found.

    2. How you set up the project and the export settings that you select greatly influence your end product result.
    a. What are the properties of the source media?
    b. What project preset did you (manually) or the project (automatically) set to match the properties of the source media.

  • ERROR importing AVCHD H.264 files on Windows

I have a problem that is preventing my students from moving forward with their work, and I am STUMPED as to what the issue is. Computers are all the same, Windows 7, 64bit Enterprise (Octo-Core Xeon 3ghz with 11GB of RAM). CC is installed with the the CCP Enterprise installation tool, and all apps have been updated via Adobe Updater to the latest revs, Premiere happens to be at 7.2.1(4).
All our digital cameras are Sony’s that shoot to AVCHD H.264 (I have provided a profile of a sample clip, below).
Video ingests into Prelude when the material is simply copied from the SD card to a local drive. However, when we attempt to send the video to Premiere Pro, the files all come up as OFFLINE (question mark icon). When I attempt to import the file manually, the following error is received "The file has an unsupported compression type.".
The next thought was to attempt to transcode the files to another codec (in this case, I used DNxHD as a test). When the files are sent from Prelude to Media Encoder, the same error occurs (Media Coder is unable to determine the compression type) and all transcodes fail. As an aside, After Effects is also unable to import the same media.
This has happened now on numerous computers, and (obviously?) seems to be related to a lack of installation or support of AVCHD/H.264 compression. What’s odd is that students have been using these cameras and compression types all year, so I am guessing a recent update killed support?
If anyone could offer any help/ideas/support/thoughts it would be GREATLY appreciated!
    Thanks!

OK, I am flummoxed.  I just worked with out IT guy for about 40 minutes trying to narrow down the issue.  So far, NOTHING is reliably reproducing the issue.  Here's what we've done so far...
    1)  Deleted all local user profiles except for admins, then deleted all registry keys relating to those profiles.
    2)  Students log in and a new profile is created, we then opened up their existing Premiere Pro project files.  Problem still presents itself.
    3)  We create a new Premiere Pro project and attempt to import the material from the copy on the local hard drive (not the original SD card).  Problem still presents itself.
    4)  We open a new Prelude project to import footage again directly from the SD card again, and Prelude is able to "see" the footage that is copied over to a new folder on the local hard drive (no transcoding). This is promising, so we open up Premiere Pro, and only 4 of 15 files are viewable (the others present the same error that no supported compression type is available).
    5)  I try reimporting some of the 11 files that don't work again through Prelude, and this time they work!  I note that the video files that DO WORK were imported into a folder that DOES NOT have a space in its name.  However, the folder that DOES NOT work DOES have a space in its name.  I think I am onto something. So...
    6)  I have the same student log into a DIFFERENT COMPUTER and we import the SAME FILES into Prelude and create a sub-folder that HAS A SPACE IN IT like the other computer has (we are trying to replicate the problem). And...  It works just fine. We can see the files in a folder with a space in its name.  So...
    7)  At this point, I am attempting to reinstall the Adobe CC suite on the affected computer, and we will see if that solves the problem.  Fingers crossed...

Import has a lot of options, so it depends on what you want to do.
    C:\> imp help=y
will show you all possible options. An example of full import :
