Work center planned cost calculation- PM related

i have created a work center with t-code ir01, used in Maintenance order under operations tab. In cost tab, it is not showing Planned costs of the pm order. Please advise what are check ups or config settings should be done? Thanks.

first kindly check whtether you have defined value categories, grouped the calue value categories then specified the defualt values categories for order,
then plan for activity type and cost center specified in workcenter in KP26,
also check whether you have specified the formula in the work center costing tab page

    You need to create an activity rate for 2014 for cost centre 51260201 and activity type NAHG20.
    This can be done via transaction KP26, but is usually performed by your Finance team.

  • Wrong planned cost calculation while actual is calculating correct for internal activities

    Dear all,
    I am facing an issue in which when i am doing network costing with work center, activity type, cost center and giving per hour rate in KP26. System is calculating correct actual cost but every time its calculating wrong planned cost. For example: If i have given per hour rate 60 usd when planning for 100 hrs in cj20n its showing 2500 while confirmation is working correct and for 10 hrs its showing actual cost of 600.
    I have checked work kp26 also report KBST to make sure about rate. Also i have checked configuration related costing variant planned and actual and its standard PS02 and PS03.
    I will really appreciate suggestions or some one face similar issue and got it resoved.

    Dear All, this issue is resloved. I didnt give quantity in KP26. However i am more curious that most of the time i dont give any quantity in kp26 and always system works fine and calculate correct cost than why this time its calculating wrong planned cost.

  • Work orders planned cost report

    Hello
    In our organization, works order can have two types of settlement receivers (cost centers or internal orders). To report planned cost by receivers, we create automatically groups of works orders (by receiver) and uses standard transaction S_ALR_*.
    But it works only if settlement is not modified.
    Does one of you know a better way to report those costs?

    I don't want to report planned costs by maintenance objects but by receivers.
    For exmaple: i have 2 work orders on the same receiver (cost center 1)
    WO1    CC1   11/2011      500u20AC
    WO2    CC1   11/2011      600u20AC
    I try to report planned cost  for CC1

  • Plan Cost calculation problem

    Hi friends,
    I am facing problem in Plan costing part. When I run KOC4, & see Material Overheads, activity cost, it shows 0 agst Paln, but calculated agst Actual Cost.
    Is there any option to run for all plan order recalculation of costs in one go. If yes, what & how????

  • Formula parameter in Work Center for 'Costing' tab

    Hi all
    In the 'costing' tab of the Work center I am using a formula which uses the operation quantity ' which has field name 'MGVRG'. Is there a way I can use an alternate unit of measure as an operation quanity in the formula? Let us say my Routing is defined in Cases and my operation qty is is in cases but I want to pass on the alternate unit of measure LB which is defined in the Material Master. Is there a way I can do it.

    Not sure if i have understood your query correctly, but when you click on test forumla in the work center it does not display the UoM, so here you can pass the UoM as per your need. In OP52, for SAP_09 you can verify the same.
    If my understanding is not correct, please let me know.

  • Plan costs calculation during results analysis of sales order

    Hi Experts,
    I am in process of implementing sales order costing. I am facing a problem during result analysis with plan costs data.
    We have a sales order for which production order is generated. Cost object is sales order.
    Say, sales order cost estimate which is the plan costs --> is $ 1000 (which includes prod order COGM of $ 600) (So remaining sales and admin costs are $ 400)
    Plan cost of production order is $ 550 (as per production order cost analysis report)
    While calculating the result analysis for sales order, system is calculating the plan costs data as $ 1000 + $ 550 = $ 1550
    As a result, I feel plan costs data during result analysis is over calculated.
    I feel either plan costs should be $ 1000 (as it already includes COGM part)
    or
    $ 950 which is (plan cost of production order $ 550 + sales and admin costs of $ 400)
    Could some one explain me why result analysis shows plan costs data as $ 1500 and if I need to rectify how can I do so.

  • The additive cost can not display on the work order plan cost

    dear friends
    first i run the ck74n for the additive cost ,second i run the ck11n for cost estimate ,i can see that the additive cost update to the standard cost successfully ,at last i run the ck24 mark and release the standard cost,but when i raise a work order ,i can  not see the additive cost in the plan cost ,i do not know the reason ,do you have some suggestion

    This behaviour is expected and standard...
    In Std cost estimate, you have the option of inputting components manually in CK74N... But the actual costs in Prod order will come either from Material issues/Activity Confirmations or manual postings from FI... There is no option to enter additive costs in actuals.. Hence, there is no option of "additive costs" in the Planned costng variant of Prod order
    If you enter any additive costs in CK11N, It is done because you cant estimate it through Qty Structure.. But, during actuals, the actual costs are all available through Material issues/Activity Confirmations.. hence, the additive costs does not apply here

    A routing is a description of which operations (process steps) have to be carried out and in which order to produce a material (product).
    Thus in routing  contains details about the work centers at which they are carried out, standard value  and component.
    Therefore there is no limitation for assigning number of time for same work center.

  • Default employee cost center based on work center

    Greetings,
    How can I default an employee's home cost center in IT0001 based on their work center assignment?
    I've tried linking both the employee's position and their org unit to the work center via CR02. This did create the IT1001 records. The work center does have a corresponding HR work center. I've even tried attaching a cost center to the HR work center with the IT1001-A011 relationship. No luck.
    Seems like OM side is doing what it should, but we want to get the work center's cost center in the costing tab over to the employee.
    Maybe there's an integration switch that I'm missing somewhere?

    Thank you both for your thoughts. We have tried the ZXPADU0x exits, but it appears that SAP will not allow us to change an existing cost center value in IT0001 via defaults. I think this is because SAP wants to always keep OM and PA in sync, based on the A011 relationships in IT1001 on the position or org unit.
    In terms of OP42, yes, we have tried adding relationships between the work center and position/org unit and also employee. And also have the cost center linked to the work center on the costing tab. But we're still not able to get that cost center to pull into IT0001.
    I'm wondering if the integration between work centers and HCM is limited to relationship links on the OM side?

  • Employee Responsible for a work center

    Good Morning,
    We use Project Systems in order to do project management within SAP.  We use the work center to define the team structure.  I know that there is a place to maintain the person responsible for a work center in the config, but the entry here is a text field.  We are trying to link the owner of a workcenter back to the reporting structure that can be pulled from HRP1001, and a text field makes it more difficult to track this back to the HR side.  We currently enter the name of a manager in this field, and if there is no other place to define the person responsible using a pernr, we'll have to start using this field to enter personnel number.  This will allow ABAP to pull the pernr and trace it to a position number on HRP1001.  I'd like to keep the manager name in this field if at all possible though.  Any help will be much appreciated.  Thanks in advance.

    Create a Cost center using T code - KS01.
    Create an activity type using T code - KL01.
    Assign the Rates for an activity type & cost center combination using T code KP26.
    In the input screen of T code KP26 ,enter version as 0, from period 1 and to period as 12 and the Fiscal
    Year as 2009,enter the cost center, activity type click on overview screen (F5) & enter the per hour Rate
    After performing this in work center assign activity type & cost center
    should be assigned. Then while creating routing/task list this work center can assigned for performing
    as per the operation time, whichu2019s used by the work center, the cost is getting calculated.
    Overhead cost is the indirect cost which's spent during production.
    So when the cost rollup is taken using T code CK40N (or else using CK11N estimating & CK24 for

    I updated Standard cost of a raw material through a cost estimate and also ran cost estimate of the FIN that is using this raw material but when I am creating a Process order, it is taking the cost of this particular raw material from the previous estimate not the recent one to calculate the target cost. Can any body help me with this.

    My Valuation variants for the Costing Variant of Cost Estimate and Production order (Actual/Plan) cost calculation are in Sync to get the prices according to the price indicator in material master. But when it calculates cost for a production order, it is picking up cost from the previous period for that particular raw material. I have updated the standard cost by running the cost estimate but still its not working.
    Any lead on this. This will be really appreciated.
