Work Mode

Hello all,
I have been watching the videos on changing mode from personal to work. However when scroll down as shown in the video's noting happens. I can get the buttons to show up to change mode. Is there anything I have to do to make this work?
Many thanks in advance
Pete

the balance mode will be enforced if you link your Z10 to a corporate BlackBerry server.
the work mode in Balance will restrict your device.
Please note that the Balance thing is not about having two personal profiles for you. It is on one hand, your personal device, where you can do whatever you want, and on the other hand, a corporate section with all the corporate restrictions (for example you will NOT be able to copy/paste from one app in one mode to one app in the other mode).
From a general perspective, the Balance feature is useless, except if you are a user that does BYOD (= you accept to have your company enforce restriction on your personal phone).
Balance is about how to deal with corporate restrictions.

  • Can anybody help with UCCE feature "Work Mode on Outgoing" in Agent Desk Settings

    Hi,
my customer wants to have a wrapup time till the agents change their state to "ready" by
    themself.
So I have configured the maximum for wrapup time 7200 sec in Agent Desk Settings.
But I have a problem with the feature "Work  Mode on Outgoing" in agent desk settings in
    ICM 7.5.5.
I think I  recognized the function of this feature. It works like that:
    - if  an agent gets a call via ICM or directly on his phone he will be set  into work mode
    - if he make a call and the called number answer  that call the agent is still on work
    mode after he hung up
    - but  if the called number doesn't answer that call and the agent hangs up his  phone he
is in ready/not ready state and that isn't the expected state.
(  you can also rebuild this when you go off hook and then on hook again)
The  problem is when the agent in state "ready" gets a call via ICM and  after he hung up
his phone he is in state "work Ready". Now he makes an  outgoing call but this call will
not be answered and if he hangs up his  phone he directly gets a new call from ICM because
    he was in "ready"  state.
Is it possible to set a registry key or do another  configuration for that feature "work
mode on outgoing" that it works for  every new call even if the call will not be answered?
    Cheers,
    Tobias

ed_umansky wrote:The proper way to make outbound calls is to first go Not Ready then make a call using the desktop software.
Agreed. In fact, with CAD and CTIOS you cannot make an outbound call when Ready.

  • Change working mode on X-Fi Titanium Fatality cause system freeze

    Hi.
Using X-Fi Titanium Fatality soundcard and latest beta driver. But then I need change working mode (from Game to Audio Creation or Audio Creation to Game) it's cause system freeze. And only hard reset helps. No errors message or error logs in system.
This problem appear only if I played any games in Game mode and after want listen music in Audio mode. If don't play any games or listen music, you can change modes multiple times without problem.
I try clean Windows 7 installation and problem is still here.

  • Is a work 'mode' possible

    Hi,
I wanted to know if it was possible to set up a work 'mode' or something similar that I can switch my phone to while I'm at work,
The reason is to save using mobile data
When at work I have things like Outlook, facebook and twitter open on my computer and so don't need them on my phone, but want them on the way home, when I leave my computer
Is there anyway apart from going into the mobile settings and turning off the use data buttons for the individual settings for the apps, to set up a work 'mode' or 'profile' so that they don't eat data while I'm at work - simply?
Hope you can gauge my issue from the above.......
    Thanks in advance

Do you need cellular data on at all while at work? If not, you could go to Settings > Cellular and turn Cellular Data to Off. Not as easy as what you are looking for but easier than turning off one app at a time -- if you don't need it on for something.

  • Which IOS command allows me to check AP's current working mode?

    Hi All,
I would like to know that my AP is working in root mode or workgroup bridge mode. I can check it via web browser. Just curious how to check it via IOS command. Thanks in advance.

    Hi Robert,
Perform the "show run interface dot0" command to show the running-configuration for your dot11radio0 interface. Look for the command line that starts with "station-role". This will tell you what role your radio is in.
For example, if it is "station-role root bridge", the radio is configured as a root bridge. If it's just "station-role root", then it's configured as an infrastructure AP.
This is what Rob is saying, but a bit more specific. I don't know of there being a "show" command that states what the radio's role is.

  • Still trying to find a BT router that works - Mod ...

Had BT Infinity 1 upgraded to 2, installed many moons ago with HH3 and external modem. Internet connection has always been ok but HH3 would never connect without crashing over 2.4Ghz to Apple iPhones. BT sent me both models A & B in attempts to resolve this but in the end I gave up, considered the HH3 not fit for purpose, bit the bullet and bought my own 3rd party router as there was no alternative solution from BT.
My 3rd party router has now failed and, as BT now has alternatives to the HH3, and I've NEVER had a router solution from BT that actually works properly, I'm looking to see if I can now get a solution from BT that should work... Now tempted to move from BT to a competitor which will shave a little off my monthly cost and get me a new router into the bargain.
BT "tech support" said they can only resolve the issue by charging me for a HH5. I don't see why I should have to pay again/more for the original solution BT have *never* been able to get to work, as I consider not being able to connect to an iPhone over standard Wifi without crashing the router as 'not a solution that works'. BT will send be yet another HH3 (!), which I would be fine with if only it worked, but having two so far that don't, just how many times do I have to receive more HH3's before BT find a solution that works/admit the HH3 is NOT a solution!?!
Can the Mods help out here? I'm not demanding a HH5 specfically for free, just a solution that actually works. I really don't think it's reasonable I should have to shell out again for another 3rd party router. I just want a solution that delivers 2.4Ghz and 5Ghz WiFi reliably, which is what BT promised their original solution was supposed to be capable of :-(

What makes you sure that it's the HH and not your Apple device?
I work with wireless devices all day, every day (I'm a WLAN consultant).  I've seen more iDevices cause issues than I've had hot dinners.
The problem is that Apple just don't seem to stick to standards.  They'll implement a technology and make some element of that technology work better with other Apple devices than they will with 3rd-party devices.
It's not just limited to Wifi either.  They do this with Bluetooth too.  I've got a Motorola TK30 Bluetooth Hands-Free system in my car.  My Windows and Android phones connect to it perfectly, every time, but my iPhone 4S and my iPad 2 disconnect constantly.  When they do connect I have problems making and receiving calls via the 4S and the iPad streams music if it feels like it.  I installed the TK30 because my Parrot was... wait for it... not working with my iPhone!!
Sorry, but IMO the HH3 is fit for purpose.

  • Ipod suddenly in recovery mode, No Itunes

    Hi guys
I´m traveling throughout South America, Currently in Argentina.
Today my Ipod touch´s battery drained, but unlike previous times, when i connected the charger, the itunes shows the Connect to Ites logo.
I'm on the road, using Internet Cafe and Hostels's computers, don't have the option of intalling Itunes.
Is there any way of getting my Ipod back in working mode, even without restoring my music, just atleast get WiFi, or m i stuck like this untill i can get my hands on Itunes and enough times to restore it.
    Thanks,
    Carmel

It's crazy that you still received notifications. Just had a similar thing today: I entered an event in the Calender, set it down, and when I picked it up 2 seconds later to check one more thing it wouldn't turn on.
Held both buttons to reset and it wanted iTunes. That's a mighty hard crash. Not confidence inspiring.
(Works now after a restore, but I only sync every few days and I lost quite a bit of data.)
I wonder if there is/was a way out of this bizarre state without restoring.

  • Mountain Lion/Mavericks 'breaks' wifi base station - Snow Leopard works fine

    Greetings all,
(Tried this in the OSx forum with no answers, so I figured I'd try the MacMini community and this one.)
I've been reading my way toward blindness through countless threads, here and elsewhere, from countless people, having problem with Mountain Lion and Wi-Fi these last few days, but some are using Airport, some are using third-party Wi-Fi routers, some aren't really specifying what they're using, so I thought I'd be as specific as possible about my situation - and add the fact that everything is still working fine if I boot into a cloned backup using Snow Leopard.
    ===
So here's the situation. I have a Intel Mac Mini which I use as a Wi-Fi base station for a Intel PowerBook Pro and an iPod 5. The Mini has been running Snow Leopard, and the PowerBook had been upgraded to Mountain Lion a few months ago. Things were still working fine at that point - the PowerBook's shift from SL to ML didn't affect its connectivity as a 'receiver' at all. About a week ago however, I finally upgraded the Mini to Mountain Lion as well (so that I could install the current version of Adobe Lightroom) and lost my Wi-Fi Internet access.
When I turn Wi-Fi on at the PowerBook, the Mini's network is visible, and I get the solid Wi-Fi fan showing a full connection, but I cannot access the Internet (indicated by the exclaimation point inside the fan for the first few seconds). The same is true on the iPod - I get the checkmark showing that I'm connected, but when I try to access any Internet services will get a pop-up box telling me that the Internet is not connected.
After going through pages and pages and pages of people struggling with similar issues on sites like this, and following suggestions like deleting my preference files, repairing permissions, zapping PRAM, creating new locations, changing IP addresses etc. I got no further. But since I had cloned my hard drive just before the upgrade from Snow Leopard to Mountain Lion (thank you SuperDuper), I can reboot into Snow Leopard, and everything still works fine. With that advantage, I copied and re-created EVERY SINGLE preference in the system preferences for Network and Internet sharing* from the Snow Leopard into the Mountain Lion system. (I even went so far as to create a network in Mountain Lion's prefs. with WEP encryption instead of the newer WPA just in case that would make any difference at all.) But even with identical settings on the Mini regardless of booting into Snow Leopard or Mountain Lion, Mountain Lion remains the same - no problem connecting with the network, but complete inability to access the Internet. A few days ago, hoping against hope that an upgrade to Mavericks might reset things into some sort of working mode, I tried that - but no better result.
(*) I note that the wifi heading in the preference panes has changed from "AirPort" in Snow Leopard to "WiFI" in Mountain Lion and Mavericks, but I'm assuming that's just a change Apple made in its terminology to avoid confusion with the external AirPort options.
I would appreciate any suggestions any of you could give. And I would ask that you specify whether any suggested changes are to be made on the originating Wi-Fi station (in this case the Mini), or the receiver (in this case the MacBook). Many of the threads I've read to date can be confusing simply because they're not specifying on which machine any suggested changes need to be made, and while I'm sure there's nothing that needs to be changed at the MacBook, please specify if I'm wrong.
    Thanks again,

  • After updating to iOS 8, iCloud password doesn't work (iPad)

I posted this to the iPad forum as well but upon poking around here this seems like it might be the most likely forum to get an answer.
My primary email address is my icloud.com address.  (Actually it is my old mac.com address, which, as you probably know, is now just an alias for icloud.com -- same thing for people who use me.com email addresses).
After updating my iPad Mini 2 from iOS 7 to iOS 8.2 today, it seems that it will not accept my iCloud password.
When I went through the initial setup of the device after upgrading to iOS 8.2, there didn't seem to be any problem.  But once the iPad was in everyday working mode, it continually asks me for the iCloud password whenever I do anything iCloud related on the device.  I have entered the password at least 40 times and it just pops back up a second later challenging me for the password again.
This password is working fine on my iPhone and iMac, so it isn't that I've forgotten the password or something...
Any ideas what is going on?

    I have the same problem,
just updated my 5s to 8.2 and neither iphone nor ipad are accepting the password.
i reset the password twice but nothing change.
    i am not able to:
    access App store
    Access I-tunes
    Access i-cloud
    Buy from app store
    or install from app store.
when i am triing to install a free aps it told me ottieni, then install when i press install it says ottieni again. bot on iphone and ipad2.
Moreover I have full access to i-cloud and itunes store via browser on pc with the same user id and password.

  • Full Screen Mode, How?

How do I force InDesign into full screen work mode where I don't see this "window" of the document with Window control buttons?
I want the maximum work space.
And does Indesign CC have a Mac style full screen mode?

Someone is out now, trying to find a more obscure way to name "full window, but not full window" functionality.
You asked for a way to go into "full screen mode" and "full screen work mode." You never actually said "full window".
Please go to Acrobat, Photoshop, Quick Time Player, Skype, YouTube, Netflix, and Adobe Bridge and look what "Full Screen" means in any of those programs.
You ask for something, but use an incorrect term. Then, when we work hard to discern what it is you want, you get angry that the term you used was wrong.
Please, sir, think about your attitude. You insult Adobe and the people here who are trying to help. And the people here do so without renumeration.

  • Work Ready/Work Not Read Agent state

    Hello all,
I've got two environments with UCCE 7.2.7 and CTI OS 7.2.7 too; CTI OS registry configurations seem to be the same.
I've a little problem with the Agent State after an inbound or outbound call.In both the environment I've an AgentDeskSetting with the following main properties:
    Ring No Answer: not configured
    Work mode on Incoming: Required
    Work mode on Outgoing: Required
    Wrap up time: 7200 seconds
I launch the Cisco Agent Desktop, then log in an Agent, with the previous AgentDeskSetting, and I make an inbound call for the agent; the agent answers the call, talks about 10/15 secons and hangs up the call. At this point the agent, after wrap up data form, goes in work mode and has the Ready and Not Ready buttons available.
In this condition of work mode, I go to see the Agent_Real_Time table: in the first of the two environments I read an AgentState value of 6 (WorkNotReady) while in the other one I can see an AgentState value of 5 (WorkReady). Why I have two different values? I'am wondering if I miss something: are there some configurations that I have not seen?
    Thanks a lot for help,
    Andrea

I compared the values in the two registers and I seem to be substantially the same.
I took the keys "Cisco System, Inc.\Ctios" and "Cisco System, Inc.\ICM\\CTIOS1".
I just cannot understand why the two different behaviors...
Any ideas?? Can I decide in which state will go the agent after the wrap-up time??
    Thanks a lot,
    Andrea

  • Why does update 31.4.0 cause TB to not work.

Have updated TB to 31.4.0 twice now on Windows 8.1 with the same result, after receiving notification that an update was available. It caused TB to not display any e-mails on any accounts. All settings, address book, account settings etc. etc. seem to be present, just no visible e-mails or folders. I can write e-mails and receive notifications of new e-mails received but nothing is actually displayed. Just blank spaces where the message, preview and folder lists should be. After both updates I have had to download the previous version 24.5.0 which reverts my TB to fully working mode. Anyone know what the problem is?

Khanda, if you didn't whine about it, tomorrow there would be 100 posts of even more whiners wondering why their iPhone is using up so much data, and how they didn't "mean to" upgrade.
The mobile companies generally restrict large downloads for this reason.  If you don't like it, too bad.  It is what it is.  Grow up.

  • My iPhone has stopped working correctly with Blurtooth.

I use the bluetooth to connect to my iCom which connects to my hearing aids. It worked just fine for a month. It no longer "tells" me that a message or mail has arrived. It sometimes doesn't even tell me of an incoming phone call. And now it disconnects without warning.
Thanks for any ideas . . Steve  (iOS is actually 4.2.8)

Any thing happen if you try to connect to iTunes?
One thought - do not charge it and let the current charge fade out - then when you charge it back from scratch it should reboot into some working mode
Another - if you do not want to wait - bring it to a store
