Workflow step Problem - INVOICE

Hi Experts ,
I have to trigger a workflow in case of inbound INVOICE error .
I have defined one of the step in my workflow using standard task (TS00008056) and did the binding with following details.
Task : TS00008056 (Standard task for INVOICE FI).
IDOCINVOIC (BO) -->INPUTFOREGROUND( Method).
IDOCINVOIC (BO) -->INPUTERROROCCURREDFI (Triggering event)
When execute the workflow, it is creating work item without any errors. But When I try to execute the work item, it is giving error 'Idoc does not exist in the data base'.

Hi Ranjith,
It seems there is no idoc available in the system.
Have you checked the table EDID4?
Also, Check the workflow log whether business object IDOCINVOIC initialized with the IDOC number or not?
Inport and Export parameters of Business object IDOCINVOIC should be checked.

Trigger workflow for MIRO invoice creation

Hello,
In standard functionning it is not possible to trigger the workflow for documents coming from MM.
When using transaction MIRO and selecting invoice creation the created document has following value :
BKPF-AWTYP = 'RMRP'. whereas creating it from FB60 results to BKPF-AWTYP = 'BKPF'.
The problem is standard code checks AWTYP is not equal to 'RMRP' before creating event to start the standard workflow for invoice validation.
Question : why sap doesn't allow workflow creation for invoices from MIRO?

All of these workflows are a one-step / one-level of approval and needs some workflow configuration at least for the agent assignments. For a full-blown workflow you should take these workflows as an example, how you could work with it.
The last two workflows work with preliminary posting on the miro (transaction MIR7).

Workflow step not executed...

Hi,
In my workflow requirement (for VA01), I want to record the status in a custom table as follows;
Approver id     date   time    status
ABC                                     Submitted for approval
ABC                                     Approved (or) Rejected
So I have created a step called 'update custom status' after the step that sends email to the approver agent whose details stored in another custom table. Then I associated a task with this step which is bound to a custom class / method which has the logic to write the status to the custom table.
The issue is I do not see this step excuted. I checked in the log.
What can be wrong ?
Workflow steps are as follows;
1. Read the document's net value and store in a variable.
2. Read the custom table for agents list to whom the doc has to be sent for approval.
3. Send email for approval.
4. update custom status.
In the graphical view, I can see the update custom status step being called (Green link from previous step to this step) but after that no progress.
Am I missing passing some values ? Or is this step not giving any results ? Whats happening ?
Details on this update custom status step are as follows;
A custom task with terminating event set as _WORKITEM defined. (not synchronous)
A step of type activity defined and bound to the above task with binding done.. (what values should I pass to record the above needed details.)
In other words, how can I record the status in my custom table ?

I think its a background step. If yes, then make it foreground and debug and see what is the problem. Also check for short dumps and turn on the event trace and see the terminating event is getting triggered.

SAP Workflow for vendor invoice is posting into past?

Dear experts
I have a heavy problems with the workflow for vendor invoices. The following example demonstrates it:
I have created a vendor invoice on 1st of December 2011.The responsible person has checked and released this invoice on 3rd January 2012. In Customizing it is setup that posting date will be overwritten with system date.
Does anybody has an idea why it is not posted in January 2012?
What does the workflow? It is posting that invoice with posting date 1st December 2011 not with 3rd January. If I have a closer look into the head of the SAP document the following parameters are shown: document date: 1st December, posting date: 1st December, entry date: 3rd January.
Does anybody has an idea why entry date is 3rd January?

It is not standard behavior for the posting date to overwrite the document date - at least its not something that I've ever come across. I'm wondering if there is a custom substitution on your system that is overwriting the document date . Check t-code OBBH. The substitution is most likely at the document header level.

Checking Payload of WorkFlow Step in BPM

I was trying the scenario MessageSplit Using BPM
I am stuck at send Step after receiver determination ,I want to know what is the payload (input output)
after each workflow step in the BPM ,but i am unable to check .
Is there any way to check this. Basically i want to know how to check the i/o and o/p of the each workflow step.

Workflow for Reversing Invoice (FB08)

Hi Gurus,
              We are configuring Payment Release workflow for our project.
              I am using the standard Workflow WS00400012 for the same and its working fine.
              In the above mentioned workflow, if the payment release is rejected it will go the next step 'Change document line'
              to change the line item and post again.
              But now the requirement is, once the payment release is rejected system should do the invoice reversal for that
              document (FB08).
              Is this possible by customizing the standard workflow ?
              If so, is there any business object or workflow to reverse invoice through FB08.
              Please suggest me.

               I have checked those methods to display and edit documents.
               Actually they are calling the Transaction code directly and we can change the data manually and save.
               But we want the workflow should take care of the reversing invoice without manual interaction.
               Can i use any BAPI or FM in my custom method to meet my requirement ?

Turning off the default outcome in workflow step

Hi,
In a workflow step, I linked a method xxx, in method xxx I have coded 2 outcomes, when i use this method in my step I am getting a default outcome "Step executed" outcome in addition to the outcomes already coded in the method. so instead of 2 outcomes i get 3 outcomes, i am not able to turn off the default outcome. is their anyway working around this problem? please help.

- SoapMethodName => writeLog
- SoapMethodNsPrefix => namesp1
- SoapMethodNsValue => Project/SAP/Response
I ran the workflow-test and got this results:

Workflow Steps send automatic emails, but this is not required..??

   we have a strange problem we got recently with our workflows steps we are using.
   The Workflow Steps and Workitems works all just fine, the Issue is that some times the trigerred Workflow Steps automaticly send an an external email to the User outlook with the Wokitem Text & Description, i dont remember that i have activated any thing to send email in the Workflow steps we are using...Please help and advice why this emails is sent out and how we can deactivate it.
We are using the standard SAP Performance Management Workflows, Example WF-Step: TS12300110.

Again, i would like to clarify some thing here:
1. The Workflow Tasks we are using in out Process are working just fine.

2. In this SAP Workflow Tasks, there is no step which send an email to the WF-User.
3. To send an Email to user we can use the Reports RSWUWFML mor RSWUWFML2 as you mentioned, i know this well and yes they are planned in the System with a Variant, but which does not include our Workflow Tasks in it. and also the Report RSWUWFML is planned to run once a day in the evening, but we are getting the Emails directly after triggerring the WF-Tasks...strange?
4. I have checked the Tcode SWE2 and found one entry to the WF we are using:
BOR-Objekttyp     APPR_DOC     INFO_APPRAISER_CHANGE_APPROVE     WS12300115
If i deactivate here i will shut down the Workflow ..right?

Std workflow for Parked Invoices?

hi guys
are there any std workflows for parked invoices? Our requirement is that once the Finance clerk creates a customer or vendor invoice he should only be able to park it and not post the invoice. Once the invoice is parked then the system should trigger a workflow and a notification neeeds to be sent to the approver to approve the invoice. Once it is done the finance clerk will post the invoice.
I switched on the event trace and did a trace on while creating a parked invoice. No event is triggered when the document is parked. If i post the document the event POSTED of object FIPP is triggerd. So since we dont have any std events raised when a document is parked is it possible to have a workflow?

The event FIPP.CREATED is raise via the customizing (SPRO)
Financial Accounting -> Financial Accounting global setting -> document -> document parking -> create workflow variant for parking documents.
Assign co.code to a workflow variant for parking documents.
Have a look at ws10000051.

I have identified this BTE for triggering WF using blocked price event. But this event get called twice so WF get called twice. Is there any way to prevent it?
- I have copied the FM for above event and this FM gets called when invoice is posted. But in import parameters I am not able to find the key field l EBELN (Document no).

Price variance workflow for blocked invoices in MM purchasing

Hi Gurus,
We are implementing price variance workflow for blocked invoices. We built a custom workflow to
take care of the routing requirement of the customer.
We also did necessary customization defining the tolerance limits for price variance. Before testing the workflow wanted to check events in SWEL and its is found that system doesn't raise any event for price/ quantity block and hence the workflow is not triggered at all.
Event trace active flag is set in SWELS. I am not able to figure out what we are missing.The invoice gets created correctly with the price/quantity blocks and blocked invoices are available when we see in Tcode 'MRBR'.
Any suggestion will be highly appreciated.

So you are absolutely sure the event trace is on. If you try SWUE with some other event, you see the entry in SWEL, dated a few minutes ago, correct?
When you try SWUE with BUS2081.BlockedPrice does it give any message?
Does SWUE work with any other BUS2081 event?

Is it possible to hide/display some standard/custom metadata fields on a profile based on a workflow step/
e.g. I am having a workflow with 3 steps
1. manager step
2. specialist step
3. reviewer step
On the 3 step, a reviewer can decide calling an adhoc workflow if he updates some custom metadata fields(adhoc rev1, adhoc rev2). My requirement: Is it possible to show the custom metadata fields only to reviewer on updating the content item. It should not get displayed while checkin the content item or any other step users update the content item.

Yes, you can do it, but you will have to define rule activation conditions properly - using dpAction and dWfCurrentStepID.

Calling Adobe form in a Workflow Step for approval

Hello,
There are some ISR forms and workflows in MSS which use Workflow tasks configured as JavaWebDynpro to call Adobe form from the Workflow Step.
Is it possible to achieve the same using ABAP Web Dynpro and creating a new task and configuring to use it as an ABAP Web Dynpro (which can in turn call the Adobe form from the WD)?

1)You can develop an RFC that collects required basic data from R/3 and display them in ABAP WD - Adobe Form. The End user can change/fill the remaining contents of the Adobe Form and submits it for approval. The RFC again handles the triggering part of the Workflow and passes the form data to the workflow containers.And for approvals, you can use the SWFVISU to call a ABAP WD application from Workflow. And in turn the control again goes back to RFC and so...
2)I dont have much idea in ECC 60 if there is a similar ABAP WD application like Standard Java WD IsrFormApprove.
3)No idea.
