X120e TrackPoint Right button issue

Hi, my x120e's right TrackPoint button seems to be not working right, as I have to depress very hard in a certain way in order to do any right-clicking. I'm wondering if this is a hardware problem or maybe the little rubbery nib underneath the button itself?

  • Gaming X20 mouse - Right button issue

Hello, i'm having a problem with a Gaming X20 mouse and I can't find it anywhere on the web, as well as new drivers for the mouse.
The problem is when, in some games, i press the right mouse button, the view goes crazy, in some games it's subtle, but in others like bioshock 2 or borderlands the view goes nuts and i end up looking at the sky or the ground just by pressing the right mouse button...I hope someone can help me because I don't know what else to do.
    Thanks

    Hi
    You mean this mouse?
    http://laptops.toshiba.com/accessory/PA3651U-1ETC
It seems you can switch between the 800, 1600 and 2400 DPI during game play and In addition, three programmable buttons can be customized to maximize your skills.
Usually if such mouse needs an additional driver or software then such software should be included in the package.
    I recommend checking this!

  • Can Trackpoint left/right button definition be the same to Touchpad?

I am used to using external mouse with left hand, but using Trackpoint with right hand. However, in the UltraNav utility, when I swap the left/right button for external mouse, the Trackpoint is also affected by this swapping.
What I want is external mouse for Left hand and Trancpoint for right hand. Howeve I can't set that for Trackpoint specifically. Can anybody help me on this?
    So many thanks!

    Hi Batterry,
There is no need for removal of the product . You can simply launch the product , click on Help>Sign out . Close the product and sign in with the new user's Adobe ID & Password. This should activate the product .

  • Snap noise from trackpoint left button

hello,  I was wondering if anyone know how to fix this little (annoying) problem I have with the T61.
Basically, I use the trackpoint more than the touchpad and therefore I use the two trackpoint buttons right below the space bar.
My problem is, the left trackpoint button makes this *click* sound every time I press on it.  The right button is perfect and is extremely quiet, but the left button sounds like plastic is snapping every time I press on it.  its almost like the button is caught against something and makes the click/snap noise when you press on it.
any suggestions? its really annoying to have such a quiet keyboard and laptop, only to have it ruined by this loud snap/click.
    thanks!

    Hello,
Have you checked with Lenovo support?  Perhaps the keyboard is defective and needs to be replaced.

  • T61 Fn key utilities, Trackpoint scroll button inop

This T61 was driving everyone crazy with extremely long  boot times, but has been restored to it's original Vista installation, after which it worked extremely well for a short time. Then the Fn key utilities began to die, usually after a System Update session. I've read numerous posts about restoring these utilities which indicate that there is a critical load order of the drivers.  It seems that you can download and install all of the proper drivers but if you don't do them in the right order they still won't work.  Peachy.
Now my Trackpoint scroll button has fallen victim to the latest System Update session (more fool I).  This has finally pushed me over the edge as it was one of the features I liked most about the machine.
I'm fed up with spending hours on trial and error downloads and installs and need to get some work done.  I'm looking for a "Start Over" procedure that would just clear the whole darn  bunch of  Lenovo drivers and utilities out and reload the whole thing in whatever order is necessary.
Failing that, the plan is to do a custom install of  W7-64 (required anyway for future versions of Adobe Production Premium video suite).
    Any ideas?

You had a decent post until reached the "Awesome but Asking Too Much" section...it kind of detracts from the seriousness of the underlying issue imho. As far as the backlit keyboard goes, it wouldn't even have to be that much; they could simply include the keyboard light in the display bezel that shines down on them like they have in the Thinkpads (not sure about current models). Nvidia Ion id a good idea although will probably cost about $50 more minimum. Bluetooth I agree with, warranty not so much. The industry standard is still one year for normal consumers and many companies offer 2 years as standard for higher education (epp) customers.
    Regarding your awesome list:
-Hopefully Synaptics Gesture update will be able to compensate for a lack of this button, though I do not really find myself missing it.
    - Nothing in the world is free, especially for a lower end unit.
    - 6 Cell battery would be nice, and even nicer in a standard slim profile.
    - 32GB SSD as standard? Even though the prices are dropping, I would say 16GB max realistically speaking for a standard capacity.
    - Under $400....I hope I don't sound offensive when I say that this is pretty laughable. If you wanted this pricepoint with all of the changes you suggested like keyboard lighting, bluetooth, Nvidia Ion, free expresscard mouse, 32GB SSD, and two year warranty...  come on, you can't tell me that doesn't sound a tad ridiculous haha.
You have made some valid points though, and I am sure that they will be noted. Just remember that no netbook/laptop is perfect and that they are constantly improving. Try to keep in mind also that Lenovo, like "most" computer companies, is not a non-profit organisation. So even though it may seem a tad bizarre, they are trying to profit off of their product

  • Exit button issue in Captivate 5

    Hi,
This is regarding the exit button on the playback controls. I have been using Captivate from version 2. Recently, started using version 5. When I published my simulation, the exit button is not working as earlier. It is also not working from- web server(IIS, Apache), when opened as pop-up as well. In local too however not working. I tried in both IE 7 and Firefox latest version.
    I have seen the response from Adobe on this issue on this forum. It was quite surprising; it did not talk about the solution at all;
What I am not sure about is -
    1. Why the exit button was working earlier versions.. why is it not working in latest?
    2. Why should when simple code like top.close(); works fine (when coded inside the Captivate)?
    3. Why is Adobe not acknowledging the issue?
    4. Why there is no working around provided in the forums for this issue?
Could anybody please help me understanding this problem? I am really frustrated.
    Thanks.

Happy New to all as well!
You are absolutely correct! The moment reporting is activated, the EXIT no longer functions. Although in my case, we are not using the time/slider bar but custom navigation buttons with an exit button on the last slide (and at the top of each slide).
This whole EXIT button issue (not just Cp 5 but Cp 6 as well) is nearly bringing me to the point of tears! This is really ridiculous! I am in a tough position right now where my manager may be wondering if I am right person for this job because I cannot make a little EXIT button work in our lessons.
"Solutions" or excuses that I have received
    - Just remove the EXIT button -- No, we use a standard corporate template which hundreds of employees are already familiar with. To remove the EXIT button and instruct the learner to just close the browser would be unacceptable and a rather inelegant way to exiting a lesson.
    - It is a tough issue that isn't Captivate's fault
With all due respect to the awesome person who keeps stating that, I have a feeling that you have not used other rapid elearning tools. Building an EXIT button in all the other major elearning tools is easy and works every time.
The source of my personal difficulty is that every other course that was built by previous developers (not using Captivate), all open in a child window and all have a working EXIT button.
I believe the PRIMARY reason for this problem might be in the fact that... inexplicably... Captivate does not offer an option to start a lesson in a CHILD window (i.e. separate browser window). This is why no javascript in the world will allow the tab to close (e.g. EXIT button). Closing a tab or browser window via javascript only works when the same instance was previously opened by a script using the window.open method. In other words, you can only use the javascript method to close an instance that was spawned via javascript.
This should explain why lessons published in Lectora (et al) always have working EXIT buttons every time and in every browser (minor exception is Opera for unrelated reasons).
The second red box is just another one of my problems with Captivate 6 (not related to this topic).
    Solution????
I've been racking my brain trying to modify Captivate's HTML/javascript in order to carry over the AICC (or SCORM - same process) variables into a child window.
Like another participant stated, you can't simply rename the original index.html to index2.html and create a redirection like this:
    <script type="text/javascript">
    window.open("index2.html","lesson","location=0,toolbar=0,status=0,resizable=1,width=975,he ight=600");</script>
    <body>
Yes, I tried this as well... but unfortunately, it breaks the AICC to LMS connection. *BUT* I can promise one thing... using the above redirection, does guarantee that your EXIT button works every time! Pity the LMS connection breaks!
    QUESTION?
Does anyone have advanced knowledge of javascript in order to code the INDEX.HTML to open the lesson in a child windows AND maintain a connection to the LMS?

  • Right button woes with mighty mouse

I have found that the right button on my mighty mouse quite frankly isnt very good. The mouse only detects i have clicked the right button when my left finger is completely lifted off the left mouse button, if it is merely resting on the left hand button, then the mouse detects a left mouse click when in fact it is my right (or middle) finger doing the pressing.!!
Most annoying...it may sound minor, but retraining my left finger to lift up whilst my right is pushing down is proving very tricky indeed!!!
Any ideas??? Any kind of firmware update or anything??
    Anyone??

    Hello, Ben,
This forum is for older, pre-PowerMac G3 Apple hardware, and so probably not the best place for you to get help with your issue. I'd suggest you ask in the MacBook Pro forum and see if someone can offer a suggestion there. It's possible that you just have a defective mouse.
    Good luck.

  • Wireless Mighty Mouse Right Button does not work well

Recently I bought in Online Apple Store a Wireless Mighty Mouse.
I installed the drivers that came in the CD, and, I defined in the System Preferences the second button of the mouse (the Right Button) to function as the Secondary Button.
But after the computer going to sleep and I wakes it up, or I stop a little to work with the Mouse, or then without none apparent reason, the Right Button behaves as the Left Button, like if it had one and only button in the Mouse.
To solve the problem I have to disconnect the mouse and/or the bluetooth connection, so that the Right Button functions again as I defined it in the System Preferences like a Secondary Button. But I think that is not the solution for who needs a mouse to work.
Therefore, I thank you a solution to solve this problem.
    Sincerely,
    Paulo
The computers where I worked with this Wireless Mighty Mouse and where I had this problem was:
    - a PowerBook 12", 1.5GHz
    - and a MacBook Pro 15", 1.83GHz
    - both with MacOS 10.4.8
    (Sorry for my bad english)

There are a few threads going describing this problem Discussions. (E.g., check out this one.)
It appears that there's probably a hardware QC issue with some fraction of the wireless Mighty Mice. Replacing the bad mouse -- either at a local Apple Store or via AppleCare online -- is what I'd suggest. (That's what I ended up doing and the replacement mouse has been fine.)

  • Middle Mouse Button Issue

I have an Intellimouse Optical 5 button mouse and I've installed the Microsoft Driver to control the side buttons and the side left right buttons. The issue I am having is with the middle mouse button. I've set it to "Scroll" in the software and when I click it, nothing happens. I like the setting where if I use the middle mouse button on a link, it opens a new tab and when on a blank space in Safari, I can scroll up and down quickly. I've looked at all of the options. Any suggestions?

No answers. I just use it to open new tabs, but still have not found a way to fast scroll.

    1)clicked on close button fired windowClosing event byWindowEvent windowClosing = new WindowEvent(j, WindowEvent.WINDOW_CLOSING);

2)clicked on top right button of JFrame it fired windowClosing eventI just want an assist to run j.dispose();, will it must fire windowClosed event? anyway to avoid this event?

  • Ipad 3rd generation, iOS 8, home button issue, with fix

I have seen a lot of iOS 8 home button issues on phones but not much on the iPad.  But I started having problems right away.  Clicking would not get be back to the home screen.  Clicking did not get me out of program.  It was all intermittent too.
I found a good you tube video about ipad home button issues. First I tried recalibrating the home button.  You hold the power switch down till you get the slider to turn off the iPad.  then let go and hold down the home button till the screen changes.  that seemed to fix most of the problems for a couple hours.  But then it came back.
Next tried putting a drop of isopropyl Alcohol on my finger tip and pushed down and up on the outside edge of the home button, all around the circumference.  Then did the cal again.  That seems to have worked permanently.
iOS 8 is still slow but I guess everyone has that on anything older than a year.

Wow, kind of a snotty response to someone who was taking their own time to offer help.  Whether you thought it was helpful or not, didn't deserve such an unkind retort.  Maybe when you realize we all just users here trying to help others like you, who have issues and we don't get anything in return for the countless hours some people here spend offering that assistance, you'll maybe be a little less quick to be critical.

  • X100e - LCD Screen Marked due TrackPoint Pointer & Buttons

    Hi Guys,
I've had a problem with the screen of my X100e that I started to notice a few months after purchasing it. Basically the TrackPoint & its buttons have gradually worn marks into the screen. It happened so gradually at first that I didn't really notice it unless the screen was under bright lights, but now it's to the point of being (pardon the pun) an eyesore.
I contacted Lenovo by their online technical support feedback form. I also contacted them directly by email. I also took photographs highlighting the evidence.
My problem is that my warranty is now extinct. Between 'trying' to contact Lenovo & getting to this point I had the usual sickness & family issues one tend to have to deal with while a warranty is slowly clicking away...
I've had no further contact from Lenovo. I was wondering where I stand. I still have the copies of the emails I sent while my warranty was valid. I've also kept the photographs I took while my warranty was still valid.
I wouldn't usually worry but I've come to love my little X100e & now the screen impacts the quality of watching movies, etc.
As Lenovo doesn't answer my emails, can anyone offer any advice or information regarding having seen this particular issue before. Phone support in Australia hasn't been the best either, btw...
    Many thanks in advance,
    Simon Parsons
PS. When travelling I keep my X100e in a 'form-fitting' thick neoprene protective sleeve & in a 'Crumpler' laptop designed bag with a well cushioned and protected pocket. I couldn't do more to protect it except house it a 'flight-case' type box.
    Solved!

  • Helix Touch pad - right click issue

    Hi,
I bought my Helix about a year ago.
Today, suddenly the right click just stopped to work (I mean the button on the right-down area of the touch pad).
It's a HARDWARE problem: first it was not clickable, and now the button goes down, but without the normal "click" sound. Seems like it is stuck down and the area around the right button isn't functional to click anymore.
First I thought it was some dirt inside, but it doesn't seems to be a dirt problem... the button just stuck
    Any thoughts?
Should I open it? If so, what are the procedure?

  • Nothing happens when I press the right button on the desktop

    Hello,
I installed Windows 8.1 on my laptop a few months ago and since then it's  been working quite well. But lately there's one thing that has been bothering me - whenever I try to open the desktop menu by pressing the right button of my touchpad, nothing
will happen. It seems that it's loading, but in fact it never really loads. I consider this an inconvenience and would be glad if you find the time to answer me.

    Hi Maria,
Could you make sure your touchpad is without problem?
First of all, I suggest you go to touchpad manufacturer's website to get the latest driver of your model for Windows 8.1.
If it's not helpful, you may have an incompatible Shell Extension installed.
I suggest you download and run Shell Extensions Viewer, with which you can see what's installed, and even methodically disable the 3rd party shell extensions (logging off and on again before testing).
