Xhtml call to servlet not returning response, not calling servlet
I have xhtml in a web app making a call to a servlet but the response from the servlet is not displaying. The original xhtml displays after the submit button is pressed. I tried different alternatives for the servlet response, but I get the same result each time. I added logging to the servlet, but it looks like the servlet is not being called at all.

You have a template. That template doesn't have for example a h:form of its own in which the body content is placed right? Nested forms don't work.
Also for the next time, use \ tags to post code; that makes it actually readable. As you can see, the forum is now trying to interpret some special characters for formatting.

Web Service Proxy not returning Response in 11g
Hi,
I am facing a difference in the creation of Web Service Proxy in 11g when compared to 10g. I have exposure of creating a Web Service Proxy in 10g and I do observe that the folder name 'runtime' gets generated automatically along with the proxy at the time of creation.
But in 11g, the nature & behavior of Web Service Proxy creation has changed a lot according to my observation. I am facing an issue where the response object is not returning the expected results as per the functionality.
In 10g, we have used a Stub class (automatically created under 'runtime' folder) and we are able to put some logs to see the request and response object in the form of 'xml'. But in 11g, I am facing difficulty in getting the same logged to see the response from OPA.
Please share your thoughts which would definitely help me in resolving this issue.

I have also tried using 'Web Service Data Control' as an alternate method to overcome the above mentioned issue. But I have ended up the error "DCA-29000: Unexpected exception caught: java.lang.NullPointerException,msg=null" and failed to create a data control.
The JDeveloper version which I am using is 11.1.1.5.0. I also came to know that there is a patch (9790388) which has resolved this bug in JDeveloper. I also applied the same patch in my Oracle Home using OPatch utility.
But unfortunatley, the version suitable for this patch is 11.1.1.4.0 and I suspected that could be one of the reason that the problem has not got resolved yet.
Please suggest the patch or any solution which can also help me in resolving this issue. I really appreciate your time and effort in sharing your thoughts for the problems which I have mentioned over here.

now, our problem is with crystal and also when I use the same test case via another IDE like TOAD.
No data is returned from the list but the table is still updated.
We suspect that something is happening that is causing the table to be updated before the refcursor is opened, or at least before the predicates are applied.

the code structure in the real example is almost identical to that test case I produced - the exception handler is only catering for no_data_found, all other errors should be raised as normal.
edit: sorry I forgot to add - it's in/out because apparently that's what crystal reports needs in order to use the refcursor..... I'm not a crystal guy so I can't be any more specific than that sorry......

BSP application not returning responses to Pocket IE
We have a BSP application which is running through Pocket Internet Explorer on a Symbol MC3090 WinCE5.0 handheld, barcode scanning device via a wireless network connection to our SAP servers. We have tested the application successfully at our home office, however when we deployed at our first site, we are experiencing issues where Pocket IE does not get a response back from the application, but appears to be awaiting a reply from the SAP server. The browser screen goes blank except for the Windows logo which is flashing indicating that a response is being sent. The users will wait several minutes but no response ever appears. At this point, the users are able to close Pocket IE and restart the transaction and run it through successfully, most of the time. We are at a loss as to how to debug this type of issue as we can't re-create it and aren't sure what to look for. Would this happen if an error occurs that isn't trapped? Our network appears to be running well, so we don't think it's that. Has anyone else experienced anything similar?

you have to run the applications in the updated version to see if it all is Ok before calling it per RFC. It might be indeed a unicode problem.
if it is uncode problem how do we enable BSP appilcation for Unicode compatible in SRM 7.0.
You have to check the code of your applications in the SRM 7.0 and read the SAP note regarding changes between every version. You also have to familiarize with the new instructions and aggregates to existing instructions. There´s no other way. -
Assembler Pipeline Servlet always return 404 not found??
Hi folks,
I am having an issue trying to view the XML results of the assembler servlet from my browser.
When I enter: http://localhost:8080/assembler/guidedsearch?format=xml&N=0 I get a 404 not found. the loggingDebug and loggingTrace are on but I don't see anything in the server log.
I followed the conditions on the help page http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E36434_01/Platform.10-1-2/ATGEndecaIntegrationGuide/html/s0706assemblerpipelineservlet01.html
But without success.
Is there a good way I can troubleshoot this?

I found out that I had 'http' instead of 'httpd' in the statement where I
registered my servlet, SqlServlet.
Now, I am having difficulty with hot deployment. The server is returning
error 404.

Subvi does not work properly when called inside a vi

thanks for your help. i am using a sub vi for sine signal generation. as a vi it works fine. but when i called this subvi inside another VI it gives some problems. for example timer indicator works properly.it reinitializes as well in the sub vi, but in the main VI it does not work properly. means does not count the time.in the sub vi on the fly i can change the values of frequency and amplitude in real time, but when i use as sub vi, it does not reponse as i change the values in the control arrays.similarly pause and continue works properly in the sub vi, but once again in the main VI, it does not work properly.graph indicator also work properly in the sub vi. but here once again it does not work properly in the main VI.the pause resume indicator also does not blink, when it is continue. in the subvi it blinks very well.generally why the sub vi does not work properly inside the VI?i am sending my VI and sub vis.
any tips would be highly appreciated.

vi.zip 87 KBI just want to add some more details to Dan's answer. The subVI is acting exactly like you've coded it. The mistake is in understanding how subVIs work. When you call a subVI (or a function in any other language), you pass some parameters to it, the subVI does it's thing and returns values. the subVI does not accept new parameters from the calling VI until it returns to the caller and the caller runs the subVI again. In your case, you have a subVI with a while loop. You have some front panel control wired to the subVI's stop terminal. When first called, the value is false. So the subVI will keep running until the subVI's stop button becomes true but you cannot change it from main until the subVI finishes and returns so the subVI will never stop. As Dan says, the solution is pass references of front panel controls to the subVI and have the subVI monitor those references for changes and to update references to indicators on Main. You subVI does not need any front panel controls or indicators of it's own.

They posted it back and had not repaired it, they asked me to send it back so they could repair...again.
I have had a couple of emails saying it cant be fixed and they would return it to me, this has not happened.
Everytime i phone the company they take my number and never call me back.
The pad can no longer be tracked on find my ipad.
They have emailed me saying they dont have any information for me.
What can i do?That would be a matter for local authorities - small claims court, a lawyer, whatever. You have to follow up and stay on them and get whoever you need to get involved in the matter that can provide help. Depending upon where you live (if in the U.S.) maybe even the Better Business Bureau - or any local watchdog group that helps in cases like this.
I don't know where you live, but in my town, I would contact the district court or magistrate and ask for his advice. There is nothing that anyone here can do foryou and Apple would be of no help either. This is not their responsibility. -
FM SPE_CALCULATE_PRICE - Java Call does not return Net Value of Sales Order

I'll have to discuss VTAA pricing types with the Business Analyst, since there are many records and I'm not sure what I'm looking at.
In regards to your second point, it's not in calculation. It'll stay at that number until you save, check the conditions tab in the header or reprice the document.
What's interesting is that it doesn't do this for all materials.
For example:
Material 1 - priced $25
Material 2 - priced $25
Net price would be $50, which is correct.
But say we use Material 3 - priced $25 as well. For this one, the total net price could show up as $30.
Can pricing types be specific to materials or material groups? What is the pricing type exactly and why 'A'? -
RFC call do not return any value
Hi All,
I have an RFC written in one R/3 system(call center R/3) and i am calling this RFC in the ERP system.
If i try to run the RFC locally in the call center system ,it runs correctly and returns me proper values.
But when i try to call it from other R/3 system(ERP) the RFC does not return value.(both cases i am passing same parameters).
Also , RFC parameters are defined with pass by value option.
I am not able to trace why this behaviour,can anyone pin point what could be the possible cause of error.

Neither do i get any dump or error of no authorization.In fact the sy-subrc after the RFC call is 0.

Call to flush() does not return
I have an application that manages network connections to various other applications and sends and receives messages (lines of text) to and from each. Each message to be sent is written to the socket's output stream, followed by a call to flush()
Occasionally, a call to flush() on one of the sockets will freeze, and fail to return. This behavior is random and fairly rare and thus I haven't been able to reproduce it. A stack trace of the affected thread follows:

Perhaps the buffer on the consumer end of the socket is full, but that seems unlikely, as the app consuming the messages has no exceptions, and seems to be performing fine (i.e. is not consuming messages slower than they are being sent).
Does anybody know of any other reason a call to flush would not return?Will that call block forever?No, see below. However there's no write timeout if that's what you mean.
It seems that being unable to flush a buffer because the consumer won't take any more data would warrant an exception being thrown.Why? What if the consumer stops reading for an hour? a day? a year? Where exactly are you going to draw the line? A write timeout would be nice but TCP doesn't have one.
What if the app on the consumer side of the connection exits? Wouldn't that cause an IOException to be thrown?Yes, IOException: connection reset by peer, if the peer closes the connection via any means. -
Want to display from database but javaclas not returning values to servlets
I am trying to view values stored in database using jsp, servlets and java class. Jsp is calling servlet and servlet calls java class file. and javaclass file retrieves data from database and sends it back to servlet. But my problem is servlet doesnt print the values.

BUG: Return listener not being called for manually launched dialog
Hello all,
I have found a bug in the dialog framework. To set the stage, I have a ADF Faces page with a command button on it. The partial submit property is set to "true" and the use window property is also set to "true." I also have the returnListener property set to a method in the backing bean. When I set the Action property of the command button to a global navigation rule that launches a dialog, the return listener is being called correctly when I dismiss the dialog.
However, when I launch the dialog from an action listener, the return listener is not being called. Here is my action listener code:

}OK - here's an update. If the command button is in the Actions facet of the page, everything works as expected. However, if the button is in the selection facet of a table (inside of afTableSelectOne) - it does not work properly as documented here. It also works correctly if the button is in the actions facet of the table. I think that this is a bug and needs to work - my use case (as you might tell from my code) is to do a delete confirmation dialog. My short-term workaround is to use the Action instead of ActionListener property on the command button, but the issue I have is that the pop-up dialog is just a tad too small, and is showing scrollbars.

Sorry for the confusion.
What does not work:
Initiating a dialog from the ActionListener attached to a command button (where the command button is inside an afSelectTableOne) will not fire the returnListener when the dialog is closed.
What does work:
Initiating a dialog by returning a dialog-based navigation rule (e.g. a string starting with "dialog:") from the Action attached to a command button (even if the command button is inside an afSelectTableOne) - the return listener is called when the dialog is closed
What also does work:
Initiating a dialog with either method (Action or ActionListener) when the command button is elsewhere on the Page (e.g. in the Actions facet)
Hope this clarifies the bug. I could send a test case if desired.

I have standard edition Lync 2013 deployed. I have also enabled enterprise Voice for all my users.
When I try to create a response group under group tab, I add the enterprise voice enabled users to the group and click on commit I get this warning:
Agent "User" is not enabled for enterprise voice. Only Enterprise Voice users can receive Response Group calls.
This is clearly a glitch since the users are already enabled for enterprise voice. Has anyone come across this issue before?
