XL REPORTER DECIMAL PLACES

Although may be selected for a Company 6 decimal places (e.g. prices, rates, amounts) XL returns only 2 decimal (in Report Builder and Report Composer). Is there a possibility to increase decimal places in XL? Rounding makes serious differences in results.

Please refer SAP note no. 896207
The following is the content of the note.
You have to edit the registry to change this. Do the following:
1. Go to Start->Run in Windows and enter "Regedit".
2. Go to HKEY_Local_Machine\Software\iLytix\XLReporter\Settings and add new string value (Right-click and choose New->String Value) and enter "FloatDecimals".
3. Press Enter and double-click to enter the decired number of decimals.
Note: This will only affect figures in the Report Designer, and not Report Composer.
Incorrectly editing the registry may damage your system. System registry changes should therefore only be performed by an advanced user who is prepared to both edit and restore the registry. For details about the system registry, please refer to Microsoft Registry Editors help system.
Kindly provide Points if this has resolved your query.

In query designer also I have chosen no of decimal places as 0.000 in display propertiesu2026please help me out. How can I get 0.010 value in report o/p.
    Thanks in advance.
    Srivalli.

    Hi,
Try to run the query in RSRT. CHeck if you are getting the same output. Also make sure that in the reports all the filters are same as you have applied in the info -cube to see the data.

  • Number with more than 10 decimal places display as 0 in report

We have a number stored on a table as this long with several decimal values.
    2440.159999999999854480847716331481933593
On one PC it display in a Crystal report as 0 and to another user it displays at the 2440.   The report formats the display field with 0 decimal places.
Is there a max precision setting at the database level that is causing this?
It seems I can add an SQL express as follows:
Round ("ORDER_RELEASE"."TOTAL_WEIGHT", 2) to resolve the issue but cannot determine could be causing the differences in display among two different client PCs running the same report.

    Hello,
CR was built using C++ and therefore the max number is 15 digits plus 1 for the sign of the number.
Cause could be different runtime of MS C++ but hard to say for sure. I any event the only work around is to use  Store Procedure and break the field into 2 parts. The in CR add a text object and drop the fields into it next to each other. For doing any calculations on them you'll also have to do that in the SP or handle each field manually.
    Thank you

  • Increase XL Reporter's Decimal Places to more than 2

    Hi All,
Can anyone advise on how to increase the default decimal places in XL reporter to be more than 2?
The figures i retrieved from SAP Financial Template for the stock account is 1234567.81 but XL report shows it as 1234566.76.
Does showing a differences of 0.05 value.
I did a sum for the stock account from JDT1 using query. it is also showing me 1234567.81.
So, I am assuming that XL reporter is using 2 decimal places by default.
Please help my balance sheet is not balance.
    Regards

  • Download reported data in Tunisian currency (three decimal places)

    Dear all,
if I use the download of reported data functionalety in EC-CS (TC cx3d1) and the file format is .txt, the system can not handle the three decimal places of tunesian currency and moves the comma one digit to the left side. The values are multiplied with 10 right now.
Do I need to change the settings somewhere or is that a known problem?
    Many thanks in advance,
    Andrea Reinecke

    Hello,
many thanks for the quick answer. Maybe I need to specify the problem a little bit: The Tunisian currency has been set to three decimal places. The databaselist shows the values correctly, e.g. 5000,000.
If I use transaction cx3d1 to download the values, the system converts this value into a textfile. The problem is, that the values is not 5000,00 any longer, instead of 50000. That means, everything is multiplied with 10 and the decimal places are away.
Do you know that problem? We have it only with the tunisian dinar, but not with the Hungarian currency, which has as well three decimal places.
Best regards and many thanks in advance,
    Andrea Reinecke

  • Need to trim decimal Places in data pulled in Financial report

    Hi All,
We have a Financial report in which in partcular column, data is being pulled by the formula :
    <<CellText("Grid1", Cur, C(A), 1)>>
Some cells in that column contains only text comments, some cells having numbers only.
Issue is with the numbers. Numbers when pulled in FR are being dispalyed upto 6 decimal places, i.e. 1234 is displayed as 1234.000000.
So if somebody can suggest how can we modify the formula so that we can display the numbers without decimal values. i means , numbers being pulled are displayed as 1234 only not like 1234.000000.
    Thanks,
    Satish

    Hi there,
You can use the function Trunc(xxxxxxx, 0) where xxxx is your retrieved value which is considered as numeric.
However, if I were you, I would concentrate on how to resolve the issue with the smartview submission.

  • OBIEE - edit report entities like title, column name, decimal places

    Hi all,
How do I edit OBIEE report entities like title, column name, decimal places?
I know I can edit column name in repository, but I hope I can do it also at report level.
As you can see, year looks like "2012.00", I don't need these zeros after "2012", how do I edit it?

    Using Criteria tab
Column Properties->Data Format->Override Default Data Format
You may go for Save button to make it catalog level for that column

  • Decimal Places is not showing in Qty field in COPA report

    Hi,
I have made a COPA report using one form that I have made it through TC:KE34.
I have used ABSMG for Sales qty in my report.
What I am observing in report, the qty is  not showing the decimal places for exmaple 6.032 MT but it gets round over to 6 MT.
I want the system should show the 3 decimal places for the Sales Qty.
    How to do resolve this.
    Regards
    Kami

  • Decimal Places in Item Cost must be 6 characters while in Journal Entry 2.

    I have the following problem:
Accounting needs to see and work with 2 decimal places, but the item cost is needed in 6 decimals.
If I register a A/P Invoice and i go to the Journal Remark, the Journal Entry should be in 2 decimals. If i look for the Item Cost on the Wharehouse this cost should be in 6 decimals.
Is there a way to handle Accounting in 2 units and Cost in 6 Units
    Thank You very much

    Hi Saul,
The request appears illogical, how can the accountant work with 2 decimal places & the item valuation is held with 6? The stock account with 2 decimals will never match the stock audit report with 6 decimals.
I'm afraid the SAP Business One core functionality does not cater for this need. There are no 'behind the scenes' journal entries. A JE is legally binding so you need to decide whether you wish to work with the most accurate calculations regarding item cost as possible (6 decimals) or accommodate the accountants & work with 2 decimals in the journals.
You might want to take the nature of the stock into consideration, if there are huge quantities at small individual prices 6 decimals might be better, if you use mainly standard cost &/or have no major cost fluctuations when using MAP/FIFO, 2 decimals might be sufficient.
    All the best,
    Kerstin

I'm getting my output as expected, but the only worrying factor is 3 decimal places due to the 'Calculations'. I'm unable to resolve using existing methods. Should I raise an OSS Note for this?
    Please help...

Hi, I posted a message to SAP on this topic and got an explanation - it is a behaviour that cannot be changed in certain cases:
it is the known design that it is always displayed with three decimal
places for normalized values and the setting in Query Designer for
decimal place doesn't take effect. This is because that normalization
changes the number dimension of this structure element.
You may refer to below notes about more details.
    > 869135 Decimal places and scaling for "Calculate Single Values As"
You cannot set the number of decimal places or the scaling for some
    columns or structural components.
For 2: Some "Calculate As" functions change the number dimension of a
KID. In this case, the scaling and the number of decimal places set for
the KID are no longer relevant. In this case, the system ignores the
original setting and selects a setting that corresponds to the new
number dimension. This cannot be overwritten. The following functions
    are affected:
Calculate Single Values as Scale to Result, Overall Result or Query
Result: Scaling 1 and three decimal places.
    > 501930 Number of decimal places setting is not applied
As a result, normalized values resulting from the list calculation are
displayed with three decimal places and without scaling by default.
    best regards, thom
