How to change a motion tween speed

on a timeline of 6 second I need to scale a jpg from 100% to 300% is it posible to slow it down or not? If yes how without changing the time frame or the size...
Thanks in advance
Pascale
P.S. if my question is not clear enough just mention it I will attach an example

Do you mean easing? If so option the Motion Editor Panel and adjust easing in there. Otherwise slowing it down literally will require adding more frames or reducing the document frame rate (slowing down everything else and/or making it choppy).

  • How to change the motion of a clip

    Gentlemen
    A very simple question
How do I change the motion setting of a clip
I mean I have a clip of a girl dancing on a chess floor background
I made duplicates of the same clip ,I changed the outfit of each girl by using effects
Now I wanna change their standing positions , I wanna make it look like many girls are dancing on that chess background , since I am a Premiere user, all I have to do is go to selection track motion and I can put her up and down (dont take me wrong here) by changing the X, Y and few other numbers,
So, how do I move here up, don , left and right
    Many thanks.

Mylenium's initial response is correct:  select the layer, press P, and adjust the position parameters.  As you have also descovered, you can manually change those values by moving the layer within the preview window as well.
These are fundamental basics for using After Effects.  You will have much more success and satisfaction using AE if you spend an hour or two with the resources here:

  • Change in Motion Tween in CS4

I am currently using CS4 but taking a class that is using CS3. The problem is I am finding the "motion tween" is not creating a tween. What is the difference between the motion tween in CS3 and CS4.
I can get the tween to work if I use the "classic tween" but the instructor is saying I must use the motion tween.
Any insight would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks

Here is a guide specifically on this topic - the change between the older motion tweens and the new ones in CS4:

  • How do I prevent Motion Tween from Looping

I am using Flash CS4. I applied a Motion preset to one of the symbols on my stage. However, the Motion tween is applied to the symbol infinitely & it loops over to the beginning of the tween after completing it.
However, I only want the tween to complete once & not loop over after it. How can I achieve this in CS4??

Why I need to insert the keyframe on a new layer?? Why not insert the keyframe on the last frame of the current layer, or the next frame of the current layer??
I tried doing this but the Actions Panel showed "Current selection cannot have Actions applied to it".

  • How to create a motion tween?? :S

    Hii
I know it is very easy. Right click>create motion tween>drag to where I would like the text/object to move
    BUT
Sometimes it doesn't seem to work when i drag the text. It will work the first time and for the second text on the frame it won't work. I don't why .....any help???
Can someone tell me the requirements of a motion tween when it comes to text on a single layer  in the same frame.
    Thanks

You can only tween one object in a layer, so if you are trying to tween more than one it will break the tween.  Keep your different textfields on different layers.

  • HT3176 How can the slow motion playback speed be adjusted on Apple TV (pause and clicking right/left)?

I am looking to adjust the paused slow motion playback speed of Apple TV. On one of my Apple Tv's when paused I can click right or left to view tv in frame advance (or one second advance) on a different Apple TV there does not appear to be any advance even after multiple clicks. But, it will jump 10 seconds when paused and left or right is held down as it should.
Third gen. (A1427) Apple TV Software version on both 7.0.3

Unfortunately with that speed you are not going to have a good experience with HD streaming. I would make sure everything is set to stream SD. Go into the settings - iTunes Store and you can switch there for any purchases/rentals made through them.
If you use Netflix (or other streaming sites) go into your account(s) and see if you can switch to a lower quality stream. I know Netflix has that in place.

  • Motion tweening a frame-by-frame animation

    Hello,
I am an experienced animator who is new to using Flash. I need to know how to add a motion tween to an animation that I already made frame-by-frame. The animation will be of a fish blinking as it swims across the stage. I already created the frame animation of the fish blinking, but now I want to motion tween the whole animation (not just one frame) across the stage. However, I cannot figure out how to do this. Is there a way to create a simple animation that uses frame-by-frame animation and motion tweens simultaneously?

Unfortunately, Adobe let (character) animators down by not developing any of Flash's animation tools since v8 - quite the contrary, the latest incarnation, CC, removed a lot of (quite essential) animation functionality. No more bones (yikes!) or motion curves control.
A shame, because once Flash was the industry standard app for tv show animation. Not so anymore, though: Adobe dropped the ball in that regard, and mostly focuses on web/mobile apps and games development currently.
    There are two options:
    1) use animator-oriented alternatives like Toonboom and/or Anime Studio Pro (both of which export to flash movies);
    2) download a bunch of plugins, and extend Flash so that its workflow becomes more animator friendly.
If you are just starting out, I would probably advise you to have at least a cursory look at the alternatives. However, having said all that, Flash can still be an enjoyable environment to animate in, IF you extend it a bit. Unfortunately some workflow may not be CC friendly anymore at this point due to the missing (almost essential) functionality compared to CS6 - you may prefer to work in CS6, depending.
These will help you extend Flash to become a bit more animator friendly:
    http://cloudkid.com/tools
    http://flash-powertools.com/
For example, Keyframe Caddy would solve your problem animating an eye by keyframing it in a symbol.
The guys at flash-powertools created a character animation workflow you may like, which addresses the deficiences of Flash for professional level character animation. They have some nice templates and example character files for you to examine.
A word of warning: character animation in Flash can become somewhat technical and daunting - in that case a tool like Anime Studio with excellent and easy to use bone tools and proper real(!) animation curves can be truly helpful. These can then be imported into Flash, and edited. Also, both AS and TB have a "real" virtual 3d camera of the scene that makes it easy to create parallax scrolling backgrounds and zoom in/out panning effects.
Anyway, this is how you would do it in Flash:
    1) install Keyframe Caddy
    2) draw your fish in a cutout-fashion (seperate eye).
    3) convert all the fish elements to a graphic symbol (F8)
    4) double-click the fish symbol
    5) select the eye, and convert to a graphic symbol again
    6) add different drawings for the eye blinking
    7) return to the main stage
Now you can start animating the fish:
    1) first animate the entire character moving
    2) then after you finish the overall movement, move to the frame you wish to change the eye
    3) double-click the fish character, and select the eye
    4) in KeyFrame Caddy click "load thumbnails". This should load up all the different frames (drawings/states) for that graphic symbol and display them all in the KeyFrame Caddy window
    5) now simply click on the required eye state, and KeyFrame Caddy will automatically create a keyframe for that state.
    6) move the timeline scrubber to the next frame you wish to keyframe eye movement
    7) click on the required eye state in the KeyFrame Caddy window.
...and so on! You may have to switch between the main scene and the fish symbol
Make certain the lengths of both timelines are identical, otherwise the eye animation will start to repeat if it is shorter than the main timeline. Inversely, if the main timeline is shorter than the eye animation, the eye animation will obviously not be able to run completely through.
One more thing: keep an eye out on the graphic symbol's looping in the properties - you may want to set it to either play once or looping (or even single frame).
For more info on graphic symbols, read this:

  • Scaling and rotating with motion tween

This is a ridiculously easy problem but I'm drawing a mental blank at how to do it so in advance I apologize for the simplicity. I'm trying to get a movie clip to rotate and scale automatically without being clicked. I would like it to gradually rotate by 90 degrees and scale by 150%, but I can't figure out how to get a motion tween to do it and am having to do it manually frame by frame. What is the code to do this?
    Thank you!

If you are using CS4 or newer, make sure you are using the classic tween for what you described you tried. The only wondering I have is you mentioning a clip twice... if you are inside the movieclip you cannot rotate and scale it from there.  So is there a clip inside the clip, and is it the inner clip that you are trying to tween?  The object you scale and rotate must be a library symbol.

  • CS4 - motion tween

If you watch the short tutorial at
    http://tv.adobe.com/#vi+f1590v1815,
you see that guy does a good job explaining how to do a motion
tween. His button "slides" into place from frame 1 to frame 24. But
there are no frames after frame 24 on either layer. So, what if now
he wants that button to be there, sitting still, from from 25 to
frame x, while animation happens on the other layer (or a third
layer)? Is he just supposed to go out to frame x and select it,
then click F5 to add frames, or F6 to add a keyframe?
    Thanks,
    Christophe

    Gotta love them wolves
At some point Flash introduced breaking apart text fields into individual letters before raw shapes(I can't remember the version off hand - maybe 8), which is handy when you want to motion tween the letters individually. So you could break them into individual letters, and then distribute to layers, and then motion tween them to create text effects. It might also be useful if you want to space/align or position them individually - a little bit faster than creating each letter separately. But yes, one extra Ctrl+B to get the raw vector!
    Hope that helps,
    Jen.

  • Shape/motion tween together

I am trying to copy a Pac man game. I am using flash mx. I
know how to use the motion tween to make the circle go from one
side of the screen to the next. I also know how to use the shape
tween to make his mouth open and close but how do i make it work
together. I want my "pacman" to move across the screen while
opening and closing his mouth. Do i have to create a second layer
or something. I apologize for the simple question but I am a Final
Cut/After effects wizard and this application keeps stumping me on
the simple things. My pacman character either sits still and opens
his mouth and then closes it constantly or he moves across the
screen and his mouth stays closed. I see in the options that you
can only pick one tween at a time. This is killing me. I just dont
    get it. Please help!

    Hi,
This is quite simple to do.
Make a new symbol on the stage, insert - new symbol. call it
what you want and make it a Movie Clip.
You will now be inside the movie clip. So make your pac man
    with your shape tween mouth.
Once you have done that you need to return to the main
timeline - select Scene1 from above the stage.
Now open your library and drag a copy of your pac man movie
    clip out onto the stage.
Now you can get it moving with the motion tween.
    Hope this helps
    Cheers
    Alan

  • How many motions tweens can you have on a timeline?

I'm a college student in Seattle.  We just had our mid-terms in Flash CS5.  One of the really simple questions was "How many motion tweens can you have on a timeline."  Yup.  The answer is one...... or is it?  I had a long discussion with my tutor (who is the greatest tutor in the world) and he wanted to think about it. I said to him that I thought that one motion tween was wrong because you can click on an object in the timeline, make it a motion tween, and double click it and make several motion tweens.  So, essentially, you can have more than one motion tween on a timeline.  Is anyone able to advise me because this is all about grades!

You can have quite a few motion tweens on a timeline.  You can even have them happening simultaneously (I don't know of a specific limit), as long as they are all on their own layers.  Though the more you add simultaneously the more they can weigh down the speed of things running.
If you need to prove this to someone, the easiest way is to create it and demonstrate it.  But you may want to check the exact wording of the question... it would not be beyond an examiner to throw a trick question in.

  • Motion tweening magnitude of change- not what i want to happen

I created an animation of a wildfire progression which includes 31 hourly perimeters showing the fire spreading. I created motion tweens 24 frames long for each perimeter and tweened the alpha from 0% at the beginning of the tween to 100 % at the end of the tween.  Each tween is the same number of frames, and same frame rate, and all in the same scene. when the animation starts each perimeter is displayed for about 1 second, by the time the animation reaches near the end, the perimeters and durations are almost 6 seconds long.  I want each to display for the same amount of time.  It looks like the tween is adjusting its length to accommodate for the magnitude of change occurring in the scene.  I have no idea why this is happing and can't find any properties that are different that would cause this.  anyone have any ideas or experienced this problem?

I noticed that when I play the movie the frame rate slows down at the end. (space bar + enter) I set the fps to 12, but when the movie reaches the last 100 frames, the frame rate varies from 1.8 to 4.8 to 6. how could this be, if the entire movie is set to 12fps?

  • When I use Photoshop CS 6 to edit video, I don't know how to change video speed after I converted the clip to smart object?

When I use Photoshop CS 6 to edit video, I don't know how to change video speed after I converted the clip to smart object? The clip color turns purple and it only allows me to add motion but not change the clip duration and speed anymore.

Thanks for the reply and as a work around method I used the Photoshop to do all the adjustments then export the video to iMovie to finish the final cut. I also have a problem to paint or clone on a blank video layer created in Photoshop. It tells me the time is beyond the target frame time, I don't understand the message. Can you explain to me what did I do wrong? Thanks a lot!

  • How do I create 2 motion tweens for one line of text?  the text needs to "fly-in-right", I can do that,

how do I create 2 motion tweens for one line of text?  the text needs to "fly-in-right", I can do that, then it needs to "fly-out-bottom" again, I can do that, but not on the same line of text...any ideas...

    my question
1- there is any way to assign the Fetch process to specific region so the process take all item in these region only.
2- how can create manual process to fetch row into specific items in page ( i tray these code
    SELECT col1, col2, col3 ....
    INTO :P1_ITEM1, :P1_ITEM, :P1_ITEM...
    FROM table
WHERE id = :P_id ) but no data retrieve .
I do not think that it is possible to have more than one Automated Row Fetch process in a given page. See the thread:
ORA-01403: no data found : Unable to fetch row multiple automated row fetch
On your second question, the manual process should work provided:
P_ID has a value when the process executes. You can do it this way:
    i. Make this process as a on-load After/Before header process
ii. Make sure that P_ID page item has value when the process executes (set it from another page or before the pl/sql process executes)

  • How do i start a motion tween by clicking a button and stop it at the end of the tween.

    Hi guys,
I am creating a website for a project and i am trying to activate a box bropping down from another box when i click on the enter here button i have created. I have set the motion tween and its working when i preview i just unsure of the correct actionscript to start this tween when i have clicked the entere here button or how to stop it at the end of the tween.
I am scared i may have made the layers in the wrong place, they are all currently in scene 1. does my second box that is dropping down need to be set inside the layers of the first box?
Bit of a newbie at this.
    Thanks in advance!

Create the dropping box movieclip as an animation by itself with a stop() coomand in the first frame and a stop() command in the last frame.  The click of the button should tell the movieclip to play(); at which point the animation should play and stop at the end.
Another option would be to use an actionscript Tween to make the box drop.  Going that route the animation is what you code it to be and there is no need to have to stop it as it will end where you tell the Tween to end at.
