16 bit = 32 bit

Here is a web page from which I was reading:
http://dkbush.cablenet-va.com/alazane/file_formats.html
In the section 1.2 - Colors, it was explained how to convert a 16 bit color to 32 bit...
How can that be done in Java?

I don't think it can ??
Java has freed us of alot of the memory stuff
I might be wrong
You might try Python with the PIL Pyhon-Image-Library
you can certainly use python to look at and convert image pixel storage formats
but 16 bit UWORD pixels is i think rather unusual
I think you might have to do C like the way it says
Get yourself a c compiler
alot of gamers use open source DJGPP
Rumor has it Quake is compiled with it
I don't think DJGPP works on Win2K/XP
so if you use those you can try MinGW

  • Adobe Flash Player 32-bit/64-bit ActiveX 12.0.0.38 for IE - failing to install (via SCCM/SCUP)

Hi, I've been using SCCM/SCUP to update Adobe Flash for some now, and it's been working great. Much better than pervious custom scripting methods. However, the most recent version for IE, 12.0.0.38, isn't installing properly on some machines in my workplace (all windows 7 sp1 32-bit), and I can't figure out why. I can't see any pattern witht the machines that have the error.
The FlashInstall.log looks fine, no errors at all. And "Programs & Features" shows that version installed. However, SCCM keeps trying to reinstall and gives this error message: Installation job encountered some failures. Error = 0x80240022. I've read up on this message from previous flash versions, these seem to relate to different issues.
The few machines with Firefox have all successfully installed that version, which I notice for the first time I can remember, is a slightly different version number? Adobe Flash Player 32-bit/64-bit Plugin 12.0.0.43.
Has anyone else seen, this issue with 12.0.0.38 for IE, and have any ideas? Thanks

May be related to issues with logic in detection which Adobe is investigating.

  • X301 and Vodafone and AT&T Wireless WAN (HSPA) Driver for Windows 7 (32-bit, 64-bit)

Ok, I (Lenovo) did it again.
System Update showed me this update: "Vodafone and AT&T Wireless WAN (HSPA) Driver for Windows 7 (32-bit, 64-bit)".
As I'm using Vodafone and I had a AT&T driver, I decided to update.
The result is, that now the GPS doesn't work.
Yes, I'm in a place where the GPS signal is present (my house, with the previous driver I was able to get 6/7 satellites).
What happens? Lenovo TV GPS stays there trying to fix the satellites, but nothing happens. I can't recover the system to a previous state, as I updated Flash player too, and Windows only show me the possibility to roll back this update.
So, apart advicing everyone not to update, I kindky ask:
    - where can I found the previous driver? I searched the web without success...
    - why does Lenovo deploy driver which can cause problems (I just had one updating the BT driver last week! .msi installer problem, error 1935...)?
    Thanks to everyone
    600, R52, T61p, X301

Ok, I found in the Net the drive 7uw706ww.zip, which is Version 6.1.4.2, while the updated version is 6.1.10.5 (7UW708WW).
I tried again the GPS, and it wasn't working.
Anyway, before downgrading, I tried to reinstall the new driver, downloading and installing the .exe instead going through System Update.
Result: now GPS is working (same place, same conditions, just 5 minutes later)!
Don't know where the difference is...

  • Will CC&B 2.3.1 work in both 32 bits, 64 bits windows7

    Hi,
Will CC&B 2.3.1 work in both 32 bits, 64 bits windows7 ? Also which version of Internet Explorer is supported for CC&B 2.3.1 in windows 7

Windows 7 is supported only in a tier 1 role (browser-based client) as far as I am aware. It's not certified for use with the web app server, or at least not mentioned in the official CC&B 2.3.1 documentation. The only supported configuration is Windows 7/Internet Explorer 8.
If you need more flexibility but don't have (or don't want to use) Windows 2008 Server, you can run Windows XP SP3 or higher, then you get a bit more variety on the browser side of things. It will support IE 6 SP3, IE 7, and IE 8.
I hope this helps you at a little! In my personal opinion, Windows 7 is still somewhat new to be used comfortably as a "server" for CC&B 2.3.1. This is just my opinion of course, and you know what they say about opinions :)

  • Illustrator CC (32 bit/64 bit) and InDesign CC crashing on windows 8.1

I have recently installed the trail versions of illustrator CC (32 bit/64 bit) and InDesign CC using windows 8.1 operating system. When I run the applications they both crash. I have updated them but still facing the same problem.
I get the “what’s new screen” on Illustrator and then it crashes. After that, I get the “trial screen” with the amount of days left to use. With InDesign, it start. I get the “trial screen” with the amount of days left to use. Click continue and it crashes.
I have already lost 6 days of the trail. Please advise on how to fix this problem.

  • Photoshop Extended CS 4: 32 bit & 64 bit has stopped working with an error 131:4

Dell XPS 720 Quod Processor 8GB Memory Running Window 7
Both Photoshop Extended CS 4: 32 bit & 64 bit has stopped working with an error 131:4. which stated to reboot to solve the problem. After several attempts at rebooting the computer, I received the same error message.
I was in the process of updating all my Adobe software in order to tackle an Adobe Media Encoder problem: when I sent a stream from the time line to be converted to an AVI file from Premiere Pro CS4 to Encoder the window appeared & hung.
I want to treat the Photoshop problem first. How do I proceed?

Unable to Re-install Adobe Photoshop cs4
A few years back my brother bought me a Dell Studio XPS 8100 running Windows 7 pro.
I have 8 gig's of ram and has a 32 and x64 bit system, right now it is enough for my needs and I can easily spare a gig or two for this program.
I cannot install this program again. I have used iYogi, Adobe Tech, support and am wondering if it makes any difference whether I install it on a x64 or 32 system?
Why can't i re-installl the program. I used it a lot and I do miss it.

Photoshop CS6 Cloud 13.1.1 32-bit & 64-bit keeps asking to licence software at start twice. Once when i start it and again once I sign in? I recently refreshed the host file in windows to see if helped but not.
    Regards

    Hi James,
This is a known issue with Photoshop CS6 specifically and will be addressed with a future update soon.
The temporary solutions are to either uninstall Photoshop CS6 and not install the 13.1.1 update or continue signing in every few launches until an update is released.
We have this document about the issue here:

Just like Jeff, purely guessing here.
It almost sounds like you just need to Read from Binary File?
AND the 8-bit number with 1?
Need more details.  What exactly do you have to start with?  What exactly are you trying to get out of it?  Examples help.

  • Where did 8 bit / 16 bit / 32 bit go?

Hey, I've been off the Motion grid for a while. There used to be a place to set your project to 8 bit, 16 bit, or 32 bit float color. I'm in Motion 5 and I can't find that anywhere. Is that gone?
I'm using a cloud generator as a background in a project and I see banding in it even though I'm rendering it at ProRes 422 HQ (1080p 23.98fps).
Sorry for the stupid question. I looked in the manual and the message boards.
    Thanks!
    Scot

Motion 5 is 32-bit floating point at all times now.

No, the 32-bit & 64-bit installers have been combined into one.

  • Manipulate designs in 12 bit & 24 bit?

How to work with 12 bit & 24 bit in photoshop windows...? Thank in advance for your technical support..

There is no way to directly manipulate images at "odd" bit-depths in PS. Any such files would be processed at the next highest bit-depth and then quantized down/ converted by whatever loaders and savers are involved, e.gf. for DDS game textures. Also depends on what color space is involved and may in fact require to set up specific color profiles to get correct conversion in some cases...

    Please answer?

... Can I upload this to the Cloud BIT for BIT
No. iTunes Match is what it implies... it finds a "match" in iTunes' immense library.
None of your CD's content is actually uploaded to iCloud.
In short, there is no substitute for a backup of the device containing your iTunes Library.

  • Data Pump .xlsx into a SQL Server Table and the whole 32-Bit, 64-Bit discussion

First of all...I have a headache!
Found LOTS of Google hits when trying to data pump a .xlsx File into a SQL Server Table. And the whole discussion of the Microsoft ACE 64-Bit Driver or the Microsoft Jet 32-Bit Driver.
    Specifically receiving this error...
An OLE DB record is available.  Source: "Microsoft Office Access Database Engine"  Hresult: 0x80004005  Description: "External table is not in the expected format.".
Error: 0xC020801C at Data Flow Task to Load Alere Coaching Enrolled, Excel Source [56]: SSIS Error Code DTS_E_CANNOTACQUIRECONNECTIONFROMCONNECTIONMANAGER.  The AcquireConnection method call to the connection manager "Excel Connection Manager"
    failed with error code 0xC0202009.
Strangely enough, if I simply data pump ONE .xlsx File into a SQL Server Table utilizing my SSIS Package, it seems to work fine. If instead I am trying to be pro-active and allowing for multiple .xlsx Files by using a Foreach Loop Container and a variable
@[User::FileName], it's erroring out...but not really because it is indeed storing the rows onto the SQL Server Table. I did check all my Delay
Why does this have to be sooooooo difficult???
Can anyone help me out here in trying to set-up a SSIS Package in a rather constrictive environment to pump a .xlsx File into a SQL Server Table? What in God's name am I doing wrong? Or is all this a misnomer? But if it's working how do I disable the error
so that is stops erroring out?

    Hi ITBobbyP,
According to your description, when you import data of .xlsx file to SQL Server database, you got the error message.
The error can be caused by the following reasons:
The excel file is locked by other processes. Please kindly resave this file and name it to other file name to see if the issue will be fixed.
The ACE(Access Database Engine) is not up to date as Vaibhav mentioned. Please download the latest ACE and install it from the link:
    https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=13255.
The version of OFFICE and server bitness is not the same. To solve the problem, please refer to the following document:

  • Which do you think; Windows 7: 32-bit / 64-bit, (plus unused RAM issues) is best for video editing?

    Hi there!
Just received delivery of a Lenovo G550 with the following spec:
    2.2Ghz Core 2 Duo,
    4GB (DDR3 - 1066Hz) RAM,
    500GB HDD
    NVIDIA GeForce G210M (512MB)
    Windows 7
The entire purpose for buying this laptop, was for video editing and it is the best spec I could find for my needs and budget.
    So what's the problem?
    1) Windows 7 is installed as 32-bit, not 64 bit. Why is this? I was given no choice in this decision.
    2) Only 2.96GB of that juicey RAM is being used by Windows 7. I need as much RAM as possible for video editing.
    3) Lenovo sent NO install disc. - When I eventually get a virus or my HDD fails, I have NO WAY to clean install the very product I have just purchased! (A laptop with Windows 7 OS).
    Considerations:
As I understand it (please comment if there are alternative views on this); The 64-bit architecture is only useful for compatible software which has been designed to run 64-bit.
The video editing software I use is "Sony Vegas Movie Studio HD 9.0"
The suggested problems with Windows 7 run as 64-bit include:
    * Possible lack of driver compatibility support.
    * Possibility of 32-bit programs running SLOWER in 64-bit environment, than their native 32-bit environment.
    * Higher running temperatures & processor cooling issues.
    * No performance gains for all other programs running as 32-bit (email, internet browser, etc).
The suggested advantages with Windows 7 run as 64-bit could be:
    * Full utilisation of the 4GB RAM. (Presently limited to 2.96GB)
    * Faster rendering and video editing tasks in 64-bit environment.
    Questions:
    4) How can I get an install disc for Windows 7? Shouldn't this come with the computer?
    5) Do you think the potential hassle and architecture conflicts are worth suffering, to get the reported performance gains of 64-bit architecture and the remaining unused RAM?
Thank you for any help and advice!

contact lenovo support line for windows 7 dvds, but make sure if they send recovery dvds instead of windows 7 dvd.
most of people are having trouble with installing windows and drivers, so companies has found as this as solution to send recovery dvd -if asked- or using hidden partition to recovery system - like one key recover - instead of.
but if you ask me, they need to send dvds.
i'll contact the mods and admins about this issue, please stay connected to this post.

  • ITunes for windows 7 32-bit/64-bit???

I'm trying to download iTunes for my new computer, but it says 'This installer is intended for 32-bit versions of windows. Please obtain 64-bit installer from www.apple.com/support/downloads/bonjourforwindows.html' So i followed that link and downloaded it, then tried iTunes again, same response. I have windows 7 but to be honest I'm not sure if it is 32 or 64 bit. I found the 64 bit installer at http://support.apple.com/kb/DL1427, but when I download that, the exact same error message comes up, I can't win!

Thanks to a friend, I have the solution.
    1.  http://support.microsoft.com/kb/290301
This is Microsoft's utility to that will sort through your Registry issues.  You'll want to have it de-install all things Apple, Bonjour, and ITunes, if they're not already de-installed.
    2.  Download the iTunes installer to your desktop.  Right-click the installer to run as Administrator.
    3.  If it still doesn't run quite right, deinstall all things Apple, Bonjour, and iTunes and repeat step 2.
    It worked for me.

  • Cannot install Windows 7 32 bit-64 bit not working either

I have tried to install Windows 7 Professional several times, but to no avail.
    Here are my problems:
    1. After using Boot Camp to partition my hard drive (32 bit) the Mac restarts, but it spits out the disc and then restarts in Snow Leopard.
    2. Using 64 bit, it does boot from the disc, but, then the installer says that I have to load the drivers for my optical drive. Seeing as I don't have the drivers, I cant go any further.
So, this is where I am, and would appreciate any help given, thanks.

I don’t agree that VMWare or Parallels is the best way to run Windows on a Mac. If you run both OS’s this way you do not get the true speed of either OS. If you are not doing anything processor intensive then you are okay to do so, but imagine if you are running say 3D app or Music app. In those kind of apps they need all the CPU / Memory power they can get hold of.
You need native speed for them to run properly.
Like rednectar said 64 bit is the way to go as all the apps are heading in that direction anyway you might as well be ready.
