1st time backing up my iphone (5.0 GB)..time remaining keeps fluctuating from 3 hours to 4 hours.. Is this duration of time normal for 5 GB?

Trying to back up only contacts and photos on icloud, before I activate my new 5s. Deleted all my videos to be able to back up... still says 3 or 4 hours remaining.. is this normal?

Just an update... I backed up my 4s using the cloud, restored this backup on my Iphone 5s.
The 5s was working terribly: slow, draining battery, etc. Talked with verizon/apple and decided the best thing was to restore the phone back to factory settings as if it was brand new.
Logged into my icloud account and was able to get my contacts. The phone has been working great (quick, decent battery, no bugs) but I am hesistant to download apps...
When looking up apps to download in the app store, there is a little cloud with an arrow pointing down in order to get it back on my phone. I was wondering how to download the app cleanly (not from the cloud) because I dont want to risk anything from being transferred on to my new phone...
That being said i was in itunes and got into my icloud account > manage devices. There is an ability to remove my new iphone device from my icloud account. My question is what are the over arching implications of doing this? Will I lose my contacts on my phone? Will I be able to download apps not from the cloud? Will I still be able to sign into my icloud account on my phone?
Please share your thoughts on this issue when you can!

When i delete an audio book from my computer it does not delete the book from my Iphone. it seems to be deleting the name from the computer but not the content. this has just started happening since the last itune progam updated. the result is i have

I record audio books from my library onto my old iPhone. I download the book from Overdrive to my computer. I connect the Iphone to the computer and transfer the audio-book to the iPhone. When I am done listening to the book i delete it from the iPhone by connecting it to the computer and doing a manual sync. this worked fine until the last i-tunes update on my computer. Now when the iPhone is connected and i tell the computer to delete a book it is only deleting the name of the book on the computer it is not deleting the book from the phone. The next time I connect the phone to the computer the program does not show the book in the phone but it is still in the phone. I have no more room on my phone to get any new books on it.
Does anyone know how to fix this? Please

You are correct. Syncing should transfer any purchased media, including videos, from your device to your iTunes library provided your computer is authorized for the Apple ID used to make these purchases. You mentioned that you have uninstalled iTunes before, but if you didn't follow this guide exactly, uninstalling iTunes and all of its components in the order specified, it may not have been successful so you should try again: Windows XP or Windows Vista/7.

1st time installation for newbies

I'm a newbie and am finding it difficult to determine the steps I need to follow to begin learning Oracle. With so many products there's nothing online to suggest or recommend where to start. Consequently, I've just spent over 3+ hours downloading the 9i Personal Edition. After doing so, the zip file didn't install anything but a few folders. Upon further searching, the folders were empty of files, which is hard to believe given the size of the download. Going back to the source of where I selected to download, there were no tips or guidelines noted at to how to install the 9i Personal Edition. I then looked through the FAQ's, with no success. I can't believe I'm the first to encounter this problem. In addition, I'm running Windows ME, which is NOT one of the choices given, so I've selected Win 98, ASSUMING it might be the correct choice. It would see that someone managing this website needs to provide a sequence of steps to follow in getting up to speed as well as bring more clarity to the installation process. I'd appreciate someones feedback on this.

I downloaded the 3 zipped files for Oracle 91 for Personal Edition on a XP platform, and unizipped them.
Then I went to Programs / Oracle / Setup.exe
I installed the default options.
I tried to go to SQL but I don{t know what hos name I should use.
Is there any PDF file with instructions on how to star using SQL in my new installation, and in general how to start studying using my own machine (XP)?

There are two iPhone 4 models:
the GSM iPhone 4 uses a sim card for accessing the cellular network and is provided by the carrier,
the CDMA iPnoe 4 does not have a removable sim card and cannot be unlocked for use on anyother network than the one it comes locked to.
If you have an iPhone 4 that does not have a removable sim card, then it is locked to a CDMA cellular network and cannot be used with another carrier.

I'm not quite sure what you mean about a hard close but if you haven't done this - try it. Hold down on the sleep and the home button at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple logo appears on the screen - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons. See if it restarts now.

I downloaded audiobook from iTunes. It comes in 2 parts. Part one will not play, only part 2. When I tried to sync to ipod or iphone it prompted,"file could not be reaf from or written to".Can I fix this issue?

Long load times normal for Adobe Media Encoder from Premiere CS5?

When I export a sequence from Adobe Premiere CS5 using Adobe Media Encoder, the system freezes for several minutes before giving me the exporter screen. Then, when I've loaded my settings and clicked "export," the system again freezes for several minutes before beginning to encode. I'm using a system with an Intel I7 CPU 930 @ 2.80Ghz 2.80 Ghz., 24 GB of ram, Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit operating system and an Nvidia quadro FX4800 graphics card.. Everything else is fast, but AME is slow. Is this normal? Should I reinstall AME?

Not sure what you mean about the process. From Premiere CS5, I click on "export" which brings up a menu. I select "media" from the menu which brings up the Adobe Media Encoder. I adjust my settings and click "export" from the bottom of the screen to immediately render the Premiere file. Clicking "Queue" would put the program into the AME Queue. Am I missing something? On the slowness issue, looks like I need to reinstall AME. I've been reluctant to do that, partially because I'm using some Matrox hardware and I'll have to reinstall the Matrox softare to populate the matrox settings into the media encoder. Looks like it may be worth it.

Ical sinks 1 hour back to my iPhone

When I sync my iPhone to my iCal a certain group of events say they start an hour earlier on my phone when on my computer it says they start at the correct time i.e. MacBook iCal Dinner 6:00; iPhone says 5:00. How can I get it to sync the correct time of my events?
