3 ipods on 1 computer -- with much more to follow!

Okay here's my problem. I believe that my relative "borrowed without asking for an undetermined amount of time" one of my 3 ipods. I can't prove it beyond my word against his because I didn't write down the serial number when I purchased it. Is there any way I can get in my iTunes or on my computer to find an identifying feature of this "borrowed" ipod and prove to my family that it is mine?

Sorry to ask, how do I do it please. I have my first ipod with the same account on both computers that have different libraries one of which I am building now. Do I have to de-authorise my original ipod on the computer that I want to use my new ipod on with the new library and then register my new ipod. I would rather do this than have 2 libraries on one itunes, but keep the same account details.

Is it possible to have two iTunes accounts on one computer with Windows XP? My brother already had an iTunes account on this computer and then I got an iPod too. Transferring all music from ipod to new computer with Windows Vista

I need help!!! I recently bought a new computer that has windows vista, and I do not have access to my old computer. I have tried following the online help but I cannot figure out how to transfer all of my music files from my nano to this new computer. I am only able to transfer my purchased songs. My ipod has been set to 'manul' update. Can someone help me with this???

So, a client of mine purchased a new laptop, and when syncing the ipod to the new computer with songs added to the new library, it says that the sync was successful, but the songs are not synced to the ipod. It syncs the time and date, but not the music. It will still sync properly on the old laptop. The ipod has been reset to factory settings and completely blank, and the songs still will not sync. I have contacted apple, and the only thing they can suggest is that there is a conflict with the drive letters since the music is located on a virtual network drive and windows does not take virtual drives into account when assigning drive letters to divices. I have not been able to verify this, but I will be going back to do some testing in the next couple days. Any information you may have to help would be appreciated! If I think of anything else I forgot I will come back and make another post. Thanks in advance.

I have a lot of music on my Ipod but it all got erased from my computer. I either want to burn the music from my Ipod onto a CD or take the music from my Ipod and put it on my computer. Now i don't think theres a way to drag and drop music off ur ipod so i wanna find an alternative way. For windows only
1) If Itunes is already installed disk use may need to enabled so you can see the Ipod in my computer. Itunes hides your ipod from windows otherwise.
2) Make sure you can view hidden files. In MY computer go to tools>folder options>view>show hidden files and folders.
3) Windows should see the ipod and your music should be on your ipod in several hidden folders. To be safe I would copy it all to say your desktop.
4) Install Itunes http://www.apple.com/itunes/download/ and the Ipod updater http://www.apple.com/ipod/download/ (if you don't already have it installed)
After that drag the copied folder to Itunes (drag and drop or in Itunes (File>add folder to library)
You may need to authorise your new computer by playing it in the library first.
There are third party software that will let you take the music of for windows and mac.

No that shouldn't make a difference. Read this info from Apple. Using multiple iPods on one computer. I normally use four different iPods off my computer and only had to authorize the computer itself once.

My iPod Video was originally loaded to my laptop and I backed up everything to an external hard drive. That iPod was stolen. I just purchased an iTouch and want to keep the iTunes on my desktop computer and the laptop. However, my husband also has an iPod in the desktop's iTunes. I created a Playlist Folder with my name to distinguish between the music settings. How do I move the music from my hard drive to my new playlist without erasing my husband's music?

I suspect you only migrated the media folder instead of the complete working library. Either review the transfer process and copy over the entire iTunes folder from your old profile's music folder or see Recovering your iTunes library from your iPod or iOS device.

The ipod is not a backup/storage device.
It simply mirrors the selecte content of the computer to which it is synced. The sync is one way - computer to ipod. The only exception is itunes purchases: File>Devices>Transfer Purchases
You need to copy everything from your old computer, or your backup copy of your old computer to your new one.

Transferring iPod To New Computer With Windows 8

I'm trying to transfer my iPod to my new laptop (Windows 8) for college. The version of Windows I used on my home computer is Windows 7. I tried simply syncing my iPod into iTunes on my new computer (twice). All it did was charge. When I ejected it, all my music was still on there (I heard later on it would get deleted by doing this). Is there any way to easily make this transfer with playlists and plays remaining in tact (the latter not being as important though)? I want to keep my iPod/iTunes in the condition it was before. Thanks for the question. The best solution for achieving this would be to transfer the iTunes Library from your previous computer (the one you currently sync your iPod with) to your new computer:
