ABC analysis for material based on the volume of sales

Hi,
Can we have an option of categorising a material according to the sales volume and generate reports.
Eg;
Mat1 -Class A >Rs 100000 of sales
Mat2 -Class B >Rs 50000 of sales
Mat3 -Class C >Rs 25000 of sales.
Awaiting your valuable inputs.

Hi Vamsi,
Could not understand your query fully.
See material availability check is carried out for the requested delivery date or else the system proposes one.
The time you are talking about By Air 1 day and so on is not taken into consideration while carrying out material check for that is transportation time after goods are released from the Plant.
owever if you need to configure the transportation time you need to go to
Logistics Execution->Transportation->Basic Transportation Function->Routes->Define Routes-> Define shipping types
Here you can define shipping types what you said by AIR by Truck or whatever you need.
To specify the time you need to go to SPRO
Logistics Execution->Transportation->Basic Transportation Function->Routes->Define Routes-> Define Routes and Stages
Here you specify the Transit Duration Transit Lead time and so on which will be taken as a input for determining material lead time by that shipping type.
Hope it helps.
Post if u need furthur clarifications.
Request you to reward points if helpful.

  • ABC analysis for Cycle Counting.

    Hi SAP gurus,
I am facing a problem from the user. While doing the ABC analysis for cycle counting using the Transaction MIBC, he is getting an error " table T159c is not maintained for plant XXXX". when i checked it SPRO cycle counting is not done for that particular plant.
My question is : Where do we maintainc CC Physical inv indicator ? I have checked at material level in Gen.Plant/Sloc view, it is not maintained . so may be they have maintained at Plant level. where do we maintain at plant level.?

    Hi
    1) Maintain the Percentages against A,B,C,D cycle counting indicators in OMCO
    2) Perform  MICN to schedlue the batch input session for Creation of physical Inventory documents
    3) MIBC-For ABC analysis for Cycle counting .
Note : the percentages maintained in OMCO will decide on the classification of the material as to when the Physical inventory needs to be done based on either the consumtion values/Requirement values

  • ABC Analysis for Customers

    Hi All,
Please let me know the concept of ABC analysis for customer clasification in SAP.

How to run the ABC analysis for customers? with relevant report(s)?
Relevance of the field "ABC Class" (KNVV-KLABC)  in Customer Master(how can it be used for ABC analysis for customers).
    Thanks & Regards,

  • What does the field Inconsistent mean for ABC Analysis for Cycle Counting report

What does column "Inconsistent" mean for report ABC Analysis for Cycle Counting (T-code MIBC)?  The reason I'm asking is because I see TotalStock values greater than 0, but the Accounting 1 view for Material Master and MMBE both show zero stock.  I do not understand why TotalStock in the report does not show zero.  Can anyone explain how this can happen?
Note: the report is run for consumption/usage date range.
    Thank you,
    Doug

    Hi,
MBEW table and MMBE transaction will show the current stock. When you run MIBC report for consumption, the system considers the consumption for the date range given (from MVER table), which may not be equal to the current stock. Refer the KBA:  1817237 - Stock quantities and stock values in MIBC  which explains the system design.

  • Availability of material based on the shipping conditions

    Dear Friends,
Please mail to me how to configure the availability of material based on the shipping conditions?
That is when we give the shipping condition in the sales order (va01) for example by air 1 day, by road 5 days and by water 6 days. The system should automatically give the availability of the material based on the shipping conditions we give in the sales order (va01).

    Chi,
APD stands for Analysis Process Designer , you can use query results or results from an analysis process for further processing , you could use the data model here too.

  • Restriction of Selecting Reason for movement based on the movement type

    HI,
Defined Reason for movements for the movement types and made the field as " mandatory" in the control reason for the movement type.
So, during the Goods movement transaction it becomes mandatory to enter the reason for movement code.
But during the Goods movement transaction, it is possible to enter any reason for movement for any movement type. It needs to restricted with subject to the movement type.
    Example:
Defined the Reason for movements 0001 & 0002 for the movement type 561.
Defined the Reason for movements 0003 & 0004 for the movement type 563.
During MB1C, now it is possible to select 0003 or 0004 for 561 as well as , it is possible to select 0001 or 0002 for 563.
it needs to be controlled w.r.to the movement type.
that is, if the movement type 561 is entered, then system should only allow the reason for movement either 0003 or 0004.
Is it possible to control, the selection of "reason for movement" based on the movement type ?
thanks in advance for your help.

    Hi Sundar,
Check the transaction OMBS.Here you can make the entry of reason for movement mandatory check:controls and in reasons for movements you can maintain the allowed reasons for movement for the perticulatr movement type.
    Hope this help.

  • ABC classification for material

    Hello
Does ECC 6.0 offers any kind of standard ABC classification (allocation of materials to groups A, B, C , D, etc based on consumption , stock , turnover , etc ) for material.
By my opinion, it should be some kind of standard programs that allows to do it.
    Thanks

    HI,
    Check trasacton code MIBC.
    Prerequisites
Before running the analysis, you must define the valid cycle counting indicators in the Customizing system of Inventory Management and define the percentage allocation of the materials to the individual cycle counting categories.
You can also directly change the percentage values via the indicator Change CC percentages on the initial screen of the analysis.
To set the cycle counting indicator for a material, you need authorization to change material master records (authorization object Material Master: Plant, activity 02).
    Features
The analysis takes into account the consumption (usage) or the requirements values of the selected materials for the desired time period. You can decide whether you want to analyze:
Only materials that have a cycle counting indicator
All materials; that is, including materials that have no cycle counting indicator.
During the analysis, you can have the system automatically update the cycle counting indicator in the material master record for the selected materials

  • Payment for  material based on performance

    Dear Experts and MM Gurus,
    my requirement is explained below.
1.Material is received and goods receipt is made . initially Payment is made for Excise Duty only.
    2. Material is posted to Stock with out any Value.
    3. Payment of material is based up on performance ,i.e number of heats it can with stand.
eg: in po mentioned order is for 5000 Heats and cost per heat is 500 rupees. material code and ordered quantity is mentioned with Value . But This Value is used for only Excise Payment. Further invoices are paid based on performance report.
Part payments are done based on the performance Report i.e number of heats material has acheived.
how to work on this scenario.
    suggestions / comments are recommended.
    Thanks in advance.

  • MIBC - ABC Analysis for Cycle Counting -Report : RMCBIN00

    Hi All,
We are trying to have our CC inventory indicators updated by using report RMCBIN00. We noticed that if a have a part with a very high value it is most likely to get indicator A even though the demand for that part is not as high as for a part with a very low price but that we sell thousands. Can some explain how can we use this report in such a way that considers demand? Thanks for your help.

A cycle count indicator A or B or C or D is allocated to material in the material master based on either consumption value (consumption X rate) or forecast value (forecast quantity X rate). You can also specify whether this analysis is to consider only the materials with cycle counting indicator or all materials. The cycle counting indicator in the material master records can be updated automatically by this program.

  • A question about ABC analysis for Cycle counting

    Hello expert,
What is  RMCBIN00  used for? Currently, user asked me if we can copy  RMCBIN00 and perform ABC analysis by quantity? I have no knowledge about it. Can any expert give some clue?
    Thanks in advance,
    Best Regards, Johnny

    Hi
RMCBIN00 is a standard ABAP report available within your SAP system (depending on your version and release level). Below is the standard documentation available for this report and a few details of other objects it interacts with such as tables, function modules, includes etc. If you would like to see the full code listing simply enter the object name( RMCBIN00 ) into the relevant SAP transaction such as SE38 or SE80
RMCBIN00 -  ABC Analysis of Cycle Counting (Physical Inventory)
    PURPOSE
This report runs an analysis for the chosen material types in the cycle counting method of physical inventory.
    FEATURES
The analysis takes into account the consumption (usage) or the requirements values of the selected materials for the desired time period. You can decide whether you want to analyze:
Only materials that have a cycle counting indicator
All materials; that is, including materials that have no cycle counting indicator.

  • Problem with updating ABC indicator for Material

    Hi All,
My client wants to run cycle count for one warehouse.Since the material master does not have ABC indicator in Storage view, Iam using MIBC for updating the Material Master. But after executing MIBC also ABC indicator is not getting updated in the Material master. Please help.
    Rgds

Hi, You need to have an history of at least several months of movements in order to do this analysis. You need also to flag "all articles held in stock" in order to select articles without ABC indicator. Rgds, Philippe

  • SAP Standard Followup Action for Material Movement at the time of UD.

Does anyone know if SAP offers a standard Followup Action that once completing the Automatic Usage Decision, it will perform a Material to Material movement at the same time.
Exampe: I have two Materials with different Inspection types and Inspection Plans that will get processed and made into CP14.
    1) CP14H - Incomimg Inspection Type Z01
    2) CP14.B1 - Inprocess Inspection Type Z04
Both materials get assigned to the correct plan.  They are then tested for required characteristics.  If all are in Spec, an auto Batch Job complete the UD.  At the same time I want to do a Material to Material movement to CP14 Unrestricted Stock for both inspection lot types.  Right now to do the Material to Material movement I have to complet a MIGO transaction manually.

    Look at FM QM06_FM_TASK_GOODS_MOVEMENT.
It is a standard function module that is used in the action boxes in a quality notification to perform a goods movement.  It is meant to be interactive with the user so it won't work as is, as a follow-up action to a UD.  But you might be able to have your programmers copy this FM and use it as a basis to create your own custom code for your follow-up action.  It might save you some time.

I found the table CRMC_DIVISION but i did not find any maetial.

    Hi Venkat,
There are three tables that you need to refer to get the products for a particular division in CRM.
    1. Go to table COMM_PRMAT, pass the division and get the Set Guid for all the products
    2. Go to table COMM_PR_FRG_REL, pass the Set Guid and get the Product Guid of all the products.
    3. Go to table COMM_PRODUCT , pass the product guid and get the list of product ID which belongs to that particular division.
I hope this will help you.
