Account Code grouping

I have 4 string to make 1 code and I want grouping at all 4 levels like
lvl 1 lvl 2 lvl3 lvl4
01 02 03 04
I want sum at lvl 1 lvl2 lvl3 and lvl4
kindly help me in this regard

How about providing sample input and desired output based on the input. Your statements vaguely imply that you want to do a group by rollup, but aren't detailed enough to specify how such a rollup should be structured.
Please elaborate and provide sample data. Preferably as a single select script embeded in {noformat}{noformat} tags e.g.:

    Hi,
    I want to map the account codes that are present in the Oracle EBS to BI Mappings.
    I am aware of the changes to be made to the following three files:
    ■ file_group_acct_names.csv - this file specifies the group account names and their corresponding group account codes.
    ■ file_group_acct_codes_ora.csv - this file maps General Ledger accounts to group account codes.
    ■ file_grpact_fsmt.csv - this file maps Financial Statement Item Codes to group account codes.
    The overview of my case is as flows:
    The client requires the general accounts to be clubbed into different sub-groups based on their reporting practices. This would lead to generation of around 60-70 odd group account numbers. My queries are as follows:
    1.There are cases where accounts belonging to a single parent account needs to be bifurcated into two different group account numbers. In that case, to which group account number should the parent account be classified?
    2.Can we go about modifying the existing group account numbers and adding new group account numbers as long as we are able to categorize them in the existing 6 financial statement buckets?
    3.What are the changes needed to be done in the RPD file to reflect the changes made to the group account numbers? Any documentation highlighting the same would be highly helpful.

    I have the same required as yours.
    I implemented the note 914437.
    I noticed two peculiar cases from the standard mapping i.e. (standard BP Role sold to party)
    1) In BP transaction, in Display in BP Role drop down list box there is no custom BP Role as shown above but if I select the detail Icon I can find it there as shown in below screen shot.
    2) I found in Tx BP there is only one BP Role as shown above but in CRM Web UI there are two BP Roles in the ROLEs assignment block.
    Could you please add your comments or solution for it.

  • Account Determination group code and Chart of account code..?

    Dear Expertise,
    In purchase order item level in account assignment section node we can add G/L Account determination group. ..
    G/L account BO are saved against Chart of account code. G/L account determination group not available in this GENERALLedgerAccount.XBO
    G/l account determination group and chart of account code relationship configured under Account determination in business configuration.
    our requirement is need to check amount posted against  G/L account determination group..
    But in PDI we are not able to find any 1:1 relationship between Account determination group and chart of account code in any of the BO..
    Please help me find  Account Determination group code with respect to chart of account code..

  • G/L account determination through material account assignment group

    Hi ,
           I would really appreciate any help on this . The scenario is .
    We changed the account assignment group of maetrial to 01 just 2 days back.
    We have old open sales order line up for this particular material . When I am trying to Bill these open orders , the system is not recognizing the account assignment grp change which happened 2 days back ,because of which I am getting a A/C determination error .
    This is a I/C order and we have PO linked to it. I am suggesting to back out everything (Do Invoice reversal,MIGO cancellation,PO cancellation , then cancel invoice ,delivery and sales order ) so that we can create a new cycle and  the system will recognize the account assignment grp change and determines  the G/L whwn it comes to acounting .
    1. Is this the right way
    2. Is there any other way by which I can make the accounting happen
    It was very obvoius that when I see the account determination analysis ,the system wasn't able to find the account assignment grp for the material .

    Dear Sridhar
    First of all, I dont think, you will be able to change the Account Assignment Group of a material in sale order if any subsequent document is generated bcoz the said field will become uneditable.  Moreover, via MASS, this is not possible as the field name of Account Assignment Group for material (KTGRM) is not available in MASS.
    So the other option is via MASS, you can assign Reason for Rejection for existing orders.  To assign Reason for Rejection in bulk is run T.Code MASS, input [BUS2032]  as Object Type and execute.  There block he Sales Order Item Data and click on Fields and block the field MASSVBAP-ABGRU and execute.  Input the sale orders if possible otherwise leave it blank and once again execute.  Now you can assign Reason for Rejection in mass.
    Meanwhile, you have to create new orders for all those open items.

  • Material type and account assignment group relation

    Hi,
    Getting an error while creating material master save. Account assignment Zx can't be with Material Type Zxxxx.
    Please advise where is the link maintained between material account assignment group and material type.
    My material is Z service material.
    As I no for plant,industry, material type valuation class quanity update tick required but that is for stockable materials which is not the case above.

    You can make the field Account Assignment Group of Material Master as inactive.
    But it depends up on Plant, Industry Sector Type and Material Type.
    You can do this in IMG --> Logistic General --> Material Master --> Field Selection
    Or
    use SHD0.. give T-code MM01. and you can deactivate the field.

  • About account assignment group in Sales Order.

    Hi gurus,
    I am working in SD for the first time and I am facing below problem
    1. Material code was created  with account assignment group (MVKE-KTGRM)  as blank (Sales Org 2 view)
    2. Later this material was entered in Sales Order.
    3. Subsequently Sales Order BOM and Production Order were made against this material.
    4. We maintained account assignment group in material master after creation of Sales order but account assignment group was not updated in Sales Order.
    5. Now the field is gray out or non-editable is there any way by which we can maintain account assignment group in the sales order.
    6. As the field is non editable we are unable to do Invoice by VF01.
    Is there any way by which we can maintain account assignment group in Sales Order??

    As you have mentioned that you have maintained the acct assignment grp in the material master after the order was created, it will not appear in the sales order item already created and it will only reflect in new orders and changes to existing orders for that material.
    Proposed solution:
    If it is order related billing that you are doing, then goto VA02 and delete and re-enter the item with same material and qty.
    The account assignment group will appear.
    If the item is delivery related and if the delivery has already been created but PGi not done, then delete the delivery and then delete the item in the sales order and re-enter the item as told above. If PGI also done, then reverse the PGI, delete the delivery and re-enter as suggestd in above scenarios.
    The account assignment group will appear in the billing document document tab in item level.

  • Account Assignment group is blank in billing dcoument !

    Hi,
    In some order Account assignment group is blank in billing document which led to Account determination error in production system .
    I have checked account assignment group is already maintained for material(mm03) and customer(xd03) in the PEC.
    In VF02 for only one item in order AAG is coming as blank . that is why in account determination analysis for that item 'No G/L account found in Account determination type KOFK' is coming . And User is getting Account determination error . I have checked in VKOA G/L account is maintained.
    I know manually I can enter the value of AAG in VF02 for the item &  error will get resolved but I want to find the reason since it is in PEC system.
    Can anyone provides solution k why AAG comes blank for  billing document that led to  account determination error. ?

    Q. Can you suggest where/how to check all condition table which is being used to determine G/L account
    A. After creating the invoice, go to VF02 transaction code by providing your billing document nnumber and enter it. In main menu bar, you need to choose Environment --> Acc.determ.analysis --> revenue Accounts. Here you will get on what level GL code is getting determined. Further in transaction VKOA, you can check on what basis / selection parameters G/L codes are aligned. In VKOA initial screen, you will have the table column. If table is showing as 230, that means in SE16 transaction code, it will be C230.
    Q. Why  AAG value is  blank in Billing document.

  • Changing a G/L account code from B/S item to P/L item

    Hi Experts,
    I created a G/L account code as a Profit & Loss item. After that some document transactions were posted in that G/L Account code.
    Later, I realized that that G/L account should have been a Balance Sheet item. So, when in FS00, I tried to change the radio button from P/L item to B/S item for the above stated G/L account code, it is not allowing because there are transactions / records in that G/L account code.
    What should I do to convert that G/L account code from P/L item to B/S item. Please guide.

    Hi Rajeev,
    It is a big thing to change a GL account from BS to P&L.
    First tip is, if you can avoid it please do, by this I mean, block the account and create a new GL account.
    Please review your account groups, you normally group similar accounts in the same number ranges and I would recommend that a single account group is only BS or P&L.
    The fact you have posted items to the GL account is the biggest problem.
    You need to have the account with a zero balance, this will mean either reversing the documents you posted or creating a journal to zero the account and then clear if possible all of the line items.
    You also need to consider the impact it has made on the documents you have created, especially if a period is closed.
    I think it is possible to change if there are no open items, but I would contact SAP via OSS to get the answer.
    Please publish the answer back on the forum.

  • Problem with accounting in group currency ( tbb1 )

    Dear all,
    to use the group currency, we created a new valuation area.
    In case of a new exchange rate we need to account transactions in the correct way; to do this we applied sap notes:
    -          1526242 u2013 TBB1: Incorrect amount in valuation
    -          1407845 u2013 TPM18: Incorrect amount in valuation currency
    but the document created are with the old exchange rate.
    Some of you can tell me if there is something else to do ?

    ...which setting have you choosen in customizing (TRM > General Settings > Accounting > Organization > Assign Accounting Codes and Valuation Areas)?
    See F1-Help for field Translation:
    "_" Different Valuation Currency: The amount in valuation currency is only translated if the valuation currency is different to the local currency. If the valuation currency and local currency are the same, the amount is transferred.
    "1" Always Translate: The amount in valuation currency is always translated from the amount in position currency
    "2" If the amount is not fixed: The valuation currency is usually translated from the amount in position currency, like the always translate setting. If you have fixed the amount in local currency or the exchange rate of the payment to local currency in transaction management, the amount in local currency is transferred.

    Hi,
    1. In existing version of SAP BO, every item in the inventory been tied to a set of GL account code & those account code is preset in the item category. All those GL account, that tied to the item will reflect the marketing documents such as DO and Invoices.
    Is it possible that an account code can be change flexibly on the marketing document due to the different fucntionality of the same item sales?
    e.g - Sales Documents
    line 1: Item A Qty:10 --> GLcode= 100010-11-11 (Default)
    line 2: Item A Qty:2 --> GLcode= 100010-11-22
    2. Can 1 item have multiple item group. (For diffrent acount)?

    Just kidding.To answer your question.
    1)Which account code do you want to change? If you want to change the sales account yes you can do it flexibly. when you got your invoice open click on form settings and you'll see there is GL Account, this will pull through automaticaly the sales account linked to the item depending whether it's set up for warehouse, item group.Can change it manualy, or basicaly write a query that say's, above 5 this acc, above ten this acc.
    2) No, you can't have more than one item group.
    What you can do is set a item to do it's gl on item level, these accounts can be changed as needed but so can the item groups accounts be changed as needed.But you could change the accounts as needed before the document is added, but this would be development. Not 100% sure if it will work, but should.

    then go for OBC4  select ur feild status varient . inthat in gl wat ever field status group ur given dobule clik on it u will faind Additional account assignments dobule click on it ther in the next screen u can see Business Area  it will be as reqired entry gest make it optional entry.

  • Account Assignment Group in DBM Order

    When I change the account assignment group (AcctAssgGr) in DBM order split screen for the customer in the transaction level it is not taking the changed accont assignment group. Basically I want to overwrite the account assignment group given in the customer master record. Please advice.
    This requirment is basically since the customer is defined as a credit customer, but at times the customer will have cash sale transactions as well. Thus the account that needs to be posted is different. For this I need to change the account assignment group in the transaction level without changing the master record.

    yes I found that this is standard behavior programmed, i.e. AAG is picked from customer master while passing to billing document. Only way I think is to use user exit
    USEREXIT_FILL_VBRK_VBRP in program SAPLV60A

  • Account determination group together valuation areas'

    Dear Feiends,
    I have configured plant for service procurement (account assgnmnt –K).
    Now I dont want that plant so instead of deleting  full plant i have just deleted setting ‘Account
    determination >group together valuation areas’ removed valuation grouping
    code from valuation area (val area is plant)
    Now when me do PO for that plant system allows me GR for that plant.
    Actually system should not allow it. Am I right?

  • Group Chart Of Accounts and Group Account Number

    Hi SAP Gurus,
    For the sake of consolidated reporting, we are planning to create group chart of accounts and assign a Group account number to the GL account master. The structure is going to be like this:
    Operating Expenses (Group Account : 461000).
    Air Conditioning Exp   (GL account 461000001)
    Elevators                   (GL account 461000002)
    Coffee and snacks      (GL account 461000003)
    This is being done to achieve a detail level reporting at the company code level and a consolidated reporting at a group level where the reporting would be based on group account or FSIs. We would define a financial statement version based on FSIs.
    My question is : do we need to activate the consolidation (EC-CS) module to push the data to the FSIs or the data would flow automatically to the group account if we assign this to the GL master. If we go to fetch the data from the ECMCT table, do we need to have a consolidation unit?
    Any inputs are highly appreciated.

    Hi,
    There are certain preliminary steps to be carried out in ECCS. You can find them under SPRO->Enterprise Controlling->Consolidation->Integration: Preparation for Consolidation.
    You need to choose the type of consolidation, create Company, link it to Cons Unit in ECCS, Creating/Copying FS Items (each account in Group COA will have an FS Item; 1:1),  etc.,
    After the setup, you actually need to carry out Rollup or Flexi Upload for importing FI data into ECCS FS Items. This is done to Data Monitor - CXCD.
    In ECMCT, typical selections would be Dimension, Cons Unit, Cons COA, FS Item.
    I suppose these preliminary steps are requried for the data to flow to FS Items.

    I'm here at the office and the only one on a Mac... I have an account code to keep track of the muliple groups that print to our SHARP printer but I don't know how to tell my Mac how to send that info... the Windows users can set it under their Control Panel - Printer - Properties... can I?

    The PPD is the printer description file specific to a machine which tells the computer what features the machine has and how to interact with it. There should have been a CD that came with your system which has an installer to install the PPD for your machine. When the installer is complete then you go to the Printer setup utility highlight your printer and then click on show info. In the top window select printer model and then browse to the PPD just installed for your machine. click on apply changes. In the top window select installable options and then tell the PPD what options your machine has such a s a finsiher etc. and click on apply changes again. Now you are ready to print, when you print and select this printer you should see an option in the 3rd from the top, drop down menu called job handling, when selected you can input your account code and all should be well. You can also save this as a preset to avoid having to input code every time. hope this helps.
