Active versioning on a lot of folders

Hello,
we created in KM a folder with a lot of sub en sub-sub folders. We like to activate versioning on all the folders. Is there a way to do this automatically (if yes how?) or is it only manually possible?

Note that the KM UI (as far as I know) does not display version labels though,
And no, the way version numbers are assigned is an implementation detail of the repository, and can not be changed.

Return to Active version - Multiprovider

Hi all,
See if you can help me with this.
I have a Multiprovider that has been screwed after a transport from another system. This is in a development system, so it is open for changes. I can see the A version is ok and I like to keep it, so I was wondering if there's any way of deleting the M version or just reactivating the A version.

First of all, thanks for the welcome!
When I select the active version all the icons grey out.
I think I remember that I have done this with an update rule, I just switched to the A version on the selection box and then activate again. But on the Multiprovider and Cube maintenance screen seems not to let you do this!

If the SAP delivery version and the active version can be matched, a checkbox is displayed in this column.With the most important object types, the active version and the SAP delivery version can be matched.
When a match is performed, particular properties of the object are compared in the A version and the D version. First it has to be decided whether these properties can be matched automatically or whether this has to be done manually.
A match can be performed automatically for properties if you can be sure that the object is to be used in the same way as before it was transferred from Business Content.
When performing matches manually you have to decide whether the characteristics of a property from the active version are to be retained, or whether the characteristics are to be transferred from the delivery version.
The Match indicator is set as default in order to prevent the customer version being unintentionally overwritten. If the Content of the SAP delivery version is to be matched to the active version, you have to set the Installindicator separately.
The active version is overwritten with the delivery version if
 the match indicator is not set and
 the install indicator is set.

Active version of BW Data Source Dev Appears inactive in Q

Hi All,
This is urgent..needs to move to prod today but I am stuck in D still!
Does anyone know why a particular BW data source which is active inn Dev might appear to be inactive in Q after the transport?
We tried manual replication, transporting replica and reapplying the transports, recollecting the data source in both r3 and BW
I also verified that I am collecting the active version in my transport

Make sure the appropriate "Conversion of Source System names after transport" are maintained in target system QA and Prod.

Follow the above path...Go to Datawarehousing Workbench in QA tcode RSA1 and on the top you will see Tools > and follow from there...

Receiving error message 'Could not load file or assembly 'System.ServiceModel.Activation, Version=4.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=31bf3856ad364e35' or one of its dependencies. The system cannot find the file specified.'

I started getting this error message for the first time today. When I look in the event log I see it every time anyone tries to sync to a mobile device to the exchange server. I've also had this problem trying to connect using
Outlook. I believe it is an IIS issue but I'm not absolutely sure so I'm posting this in the Exchange forum as well.

I have tried most, if not all, of the different post's suggestions to no avail.
The steps I have taken are as follows...
1. Repaired .Net 4 (Both the client and extended)
2. Uninstalled and reinstalled .Net Framework 4.0.
3. Verified that the dll exists.
4. Checked the applicationHost.config file. It contains the follow statement...

Like I said everything was working yesterday. In fact I didn't hear or see any issue until after 1PM today.

Please confirm whether users can access their mailboxes from Outlook Web Access or not. We can do the following changes to have a try:
1. In IIS > Application Pools, change the .NET Framework Version to v2.0 and restart IIS service.
2. If it doesn’t work, explore the Default Web site.
3. Renamed the web.config file to web.config.old
4. Reset IIS using iisreset command to have a try.

Production Order in In-Active Version

Hi All,
Need your expert help...
I have a production order for Assembly product (say A1). In this order, under component view, we have component (say C1).
in MD04 for C1..,
a) I see the dependent requirement
I created a simulated version such that it considers the firm receipts from active version.
Now, in MS04 for C1,
a) I see the dependent requirement.
My requirement is to remove the depenent reuirement in active version, but to retain the dependent requiremnt in in-active version.
How to do that..?
As of now, when i remove the component from Production order, its impacting both my active and in-active versions (ie., its kicking off component in both MD04 & MS04)

Hi,
There could not be a simulative dependent requirement for a production order. What you can do is to create an independent requirement in the version which your LTP scenario supports, and simulate the dependent requirement in active version.

How to find the active version of a program from table

Hi Sergey,
Please check the entry in table SMOG_TRANS for TR_NAME = PRODUCT_MAT.
Current active version i.e SMOACTV = X ,in SAP standard system is for,
SMOVERS = 00015 .
Also,you can try re-generating the BDoc PRODUCT_MAT once again.

Business Content - Do not merge with Active version

Hi,
I am activating an infosource from BC, which in turn is activating many Info objects.
My problem is that we made some modification to the info objects, for example remove and add attributes etc..
Now it seems that when activating the BC info objects again it will merge the Active version with the BC version. Therefore, undoing most of the changes.
Is there away to leave the active info objects alone and only install the missing info objects ?

The versions (A and D) of Info Object 0AMOUNT agree
I am only doing simulation. But I need to be sure that the info objects will not be merged with the extra attributes etc..

Problem with the active version of the transfer rule ABAP program with sour

Hi,
I have a problem with the active version of the transfer rule ABAP program with source system EXCEL.
The system does not react to changes done in the transfer rule coding. For FISCPER I have hardcoded the result 'BABABA' and still the results delivered are those from the CSV.
Resetting the system buffers does not help. The problem is systematic in combination with source system EXCEL (i.e. not only 1 InfoSource). Checking the active program Extras->Display Program shows the coding (result='BABABA') being there, but
as stated, the system does not produce the result BABABA, but instead the result of the CSV.
It seems as if the original version from the very first activation of the transfer rule program remains somewhere and continues to be used. Does anybody know how to flush it out and get the system to actually use the coding appearing as the active program.
I have posted an OSS note, but SAP takes it time to answer and I am under time pressure so I figured that maybe one of you know who to solve it before SAP does.

Transporting active version of datasource from DEV to PRD

Hi,
When I transport a 3.x datasource from DEV to PRD, the version I am getting in PRD is 'modified'. In DEV we have both modified and active versions and there's no difference between them. When I try to activate the modified version, it says that I have to maintain the transfer rules associated with the datasource. Then it takes me to the transfer rules display but I am not sure what to do next...how to activate the datasource. How do I get the active version from DEV to PRD?

DMS-KM connector and active version in DMS

I was wondering if it possible to bring back only the active version of a document using the DMS connector?? We created a varient but do not see anywhere to specify that we only want to Active version to be returned... so for each document we get every version...

Hi Derek,
if this is not a configuration option in the DMS repository manager, does it at least return a KM property for "active=yes/no" or similar?
If it does that, you could implement your own repository filter on that basis or access the DMS resources via query-based taxonomies that either do or do not allow certain values for that property.
