Add Dutch proofing tools to my English Office 2010 installation

Hi,
I'd like to to download and install the dutch proofing tools for my Office 2010 installation on windows XP SP3 32 bit. I have an MSDN Premium subscription. Can someone tell me how to proceed?
The link in MSWord to install the proofing tools (Review->Language->Language Preferences->Dutch "not installed link" direct me to a download for the beta version., so this approach i have tried and does not work.
Thanks in advance,
Robert

Do we have an estimate date for these, many of us using msdn are earlyadopters and consultants and the proofing tools are a vital addition to writing good reports and specs and so on. In office 2010 there isnt possible to install the proofing tools from
another language any longer(This has been possible in previous versions, now the installer complains). Many of use also use english os and english office and so on, but need the language support for other languages.
please hurry up with the release,(cant you release different languages as they become available?)
Thanks
I installed Office 2010 Dutch over my existing English installation yesterday, and now I have Dutch proofing tools available in my English installation. I do not have to switch languages to have the Dutch proofing tools available, I can just work in an English
Word. So this should work the same for you.Ruud van Strijp - Network Infrastructure Design in the Netherlands. MCSE: 70-270, 70-284, 70-290, 70-291, 70-294, 70-297. Cisco: CCNA, CCDA, CCNP, CCDP.

  • Essbase Excel Add-In (11.1.2.1) and Office 2010

I was wondering if anyone knows if the Essbase Excel Add-In (v11.1.2.1) is compatible in Office 2010 (64-bit)?
I found some search results from about 6-8 months ago saying that it was supported in Office 2010, but not in the 64-bit edition. Does anyone know if this has changed and if this is in fact supported?
If not supported has it been tested to at least work?
    Thank you in advance.

  • Excel add-in 11.1.2.2 with Office 2010

    Hi,
I have the certification grid but cannot find reference to this, can anyone point me at any official Oracle document that provides detail of whether Essbase Excel add-in is supported with Office 2010 (Excel) and if so if this requires a patch etc.
    I have seen =>http://www.network54.com/Forum/58296/thread/1288292048/Which+version+of+Essbase+Add-In+works+with+Office+2010
    Thanks,
    Robert.

In the matrix it highlights under Client Third Party Software for 11.1.2.2 that Office 2010 is supported, the only exception is "Essbase Spreadsheet Add-In only supports 32-bit Microsoft Office."

  • How do you add "Adobe PDF" as a "printer" in Office 2010/Windows 7

Although with most of the programs you can just save documents and spread sheets as PDFs, in Power Point, it does not allow you the option to save a slide as a PDF with the notes displayed in the PDF, only the slide is transformed to PDF, the notes do not show on them.
Goal: To have notes and slide saved as a PDF
Challenge: Just saving the slide as a PDF does not display notes
Solution in past: Print to Adobe PDF using the Print function and "print" using the notes or outline options in the print window
Problem: ADOBE PDF is not an option in my printer section anymore.
Question: How do I make PDF a "Printer" in with Office 2010 or in general using Windows 7

You make not mention of Acrobat and what version you might have. For Office 2010 to do as you want, you need PDF Maker and will have to have AA X for Office 2010. To get the Adobe PDF printer you could install either AA9 or AAX in Win7. Some folks have been successful with AA8 in Win 7. If you don't have Acrobat, then it is time to order it.

  • Office 2010 installation - Error 1618

We are currently trying to upgrade our Office 2007 installs to 2010 using SCCM.
I made a package out of Office 2010 with SP1 integrated, and am deploying it with the command line
    setup /adminfile c:\x\upgrade.msp /config c:\x\upgrade.xml
SCCM is configured to download packages to the local hard disk before executing them.
Now, on all test machines, and about 70% of production machines, this works as expected. The setup runs, returns with a 3010 "Reboot Required" value and the PC reboots. After that, Office is upgraded and works.
On 30% of production machines however a variation of the following error happens:
    Executing chained package: OfficeMUISet.en-us
Not showing message because suppress modal has been set. Title: 'Setup', Message: 'Another install is currently in progress. Press 'Retry' when the install is finished or 'Cancel' to cancel setup.'
The setup then cancels, tries to rollback itself, but fails doing that with the same "The uninstallation appears to have failed because another MSI operation was taking place." errors, then fails completely and exits with an error code 1618
    The full log is here.
    Part 1: http://pastebin.com/AtwYSHA8
    Part 2: http://pastebin.com/EES9Hsfp
After that, there are Office 2010 shortcuts in the start menu, but no application can be started due to missing DLL errors. Office 2010 then has to be uninstalled with the MS Fixit 50450 tool and reinstalled.
There is no common quality among the PCs that fail this. Some are XP, others are Vista. Some are English language, others are German, French or Italian.
After this happened the first time, I changed the installation so that the PCs would always do a reboot before the installation, but this didn't help anything. To me it seems that the Office setup itself tries to chain two msiexecs at the same time - or
tries to start one before the last one finishes properly. Is there a way to prevent this?

    Hey there,
I've having the same problem on my deployment environment.  We are deploying Windows 7 Enterprise using SCCM and the UDI task sequence by MDT.  In UDI, I have Office 2010 with SP2 integrated to install.  I've done a blast test of 10 machines
being imaged all at once and so far 8 of the 10 are successful installing office 2010 with sp2.
The other two machines, i went looking through the SCCM logs.  CAS.log shows that the office 2010 package was downloaded completely.  I then looked in the setup.log in C:\Windows\temp where the office install logs are found and noticed this.
    Executing chained package: OutlookMUI.en-us
Not showing message because suppress modal has been set.  Title: 'Setup', Message: 'Another install is currently in progress. Press 'Retry' when the install is finished or 'Cancel' to cancel setup.'
    Message returned: 2
Error: User canceled install due to MSI service being busy. Type: 90::UserCancel.
Log level changed from: Standard to: Verbose
    Rolling back chain
    Rolling back package: OutlookMUI.en-us
There appears to be no rollback work to do for package: OutlookMUI.en-us path:
    C:\WINDOWS\ccmcache\f\Outlook.en-us\OutlookMUI.MSI
It looks like msiexec.exe is being used up by another program.  Initially I was getting this a lot and then I moved my McAfee agent and Altiris agent install outside of the install application step.  That seemed to give me 80% success rate on deploying
    office.
Now the awkward thing is that all my other applications installs just fine.  This office installs first and is then followed by MS Project and MS Visio.  Office fails with the error above but afterwards, SCCM executes MS Project with sp2 and MS
Visio with sp2 and they install just fine.  This makes me believe that office 2010 is
A.) Stumbling upon each of its own .msi files
B.) another background app is still being installed when it gets to office.
I find it hard to believe the latter because I've troubleshot all my other apps and they install just fine.  I even had task manager going in the background to detect new services installing and still no go.  Now i noticed that I have "Suppress
Modal" turned on.  I am wondering if I can enable that and then see if Office will give me that prompt to "Retry" and not instantly fail the install.

  • Office 2010 Installation Problem osetup.dll

While trying to install Office 2010 Pro I receive the following error immediately after running setup.exe "OSETUP.DLL digital signature does not validate or is not present".  I have done several internet searches and see this problem has been
around since Office 2007.  Apparently tons of people have this problem, but very few resolutions all of which do not work for me.  I have tried the following:
Re-downloaded from Microsoft (even tried the x64 version)
    Burned several discs
Tried in 5 different Computers comprising of Vista, XP, and W7
Copied files to network and to local PC
    Ran from command prompt
    Ran as local admin
Created a clean unpatched W7 install - failed
Created a clean unpatched XP wSP2 install - failed
Patched clean install of W7 - failed
I have tried downloading the individual apps from our Volume Licensing website to try and pull the osetup.dll from their file set, this also fails.  At the moment the only thing I can get to work is Office Standard, trying to pull the osetup.dll from
that file set resolves the error but causes the setup.exe app to immediately crash.  I also tried downloading the Office 2010 Pro trial and pull the file from that file set, same crash result not the .dll error.  I can install the trial successfully
though.  I have tried on PC's with Office 2003 installed, no Office installed, Office 2007 installed, nothing works.  PCs off the domain, on the domain, PCs completely off the network that are fresh installs. Again all same results.
Please help as I have run out of ideas.  The install log contains the following: (Certain items removed)
    Verify file signature in "\ProPlus.WW\OSETUP.DLL"
    Error:  \ProPlus.WW\OSETUP.DLL is not trusted.
Log level changed from: Standard to: Verbose
Failed to verify file signature from the selected setup controller dll in location "\ProPlus.WW\OSETUP.DLL"
\ProPlus.WW\OSETUP.DLL digital signature does not validate or is not present.

    Hi,
If we are still unable to install the Office program by clicking the
setup.exe file directly, the osetup.dll in the folder may be corrupted.
You can check if others can download the Office program from the website and install. If they can, you can try to copy a good copy of the
osetup.dll file from them and replace the corrupted one. Then, click the
setup.exe file to install the Office program again.
However, if all the downloaded files from the website cannot be installed, the media might have problems and you need to contact the administrator.

  • Proofing Tool English 2013

    Hello,
I have Microsoft Office 2013. Since a few days, my spelling checker stopped working. It does work for Dutch, but it says that the proofing tools for English (and all the other languages) need to be downloaded. When I go to the page it sends me to, to download
the tool, it does install the tool and I see it in my 'Programs and Features' (Control Panel) but when I open Word it says the tool is still missing. I've tried to do this:
"Click on Start > Control Panel > Control Panel > double-click Programs and Features >
Click Microsoft Office 2010 Edition >
click Change > In the Microsoft Office Edition dialog
box > click Add or Remove Features > Continue > Expand Office Shared Features > click the icon to the left of Proofing Tools > then click Run all from My Computer > Continue."
However, in my Programs and Features, I don't have the Microsoft Office 2010. I do have 'Microsoft 365' and 'Microsoft Office 2013' in the list. When I click on them
and then click 'change' it gives me a choice for either a 'quick repair' or a 'online repair.' Both do not work...
    Would really appreciate some help.
    JJK

    Hi,
According to your description, you are using Office 365 via Click to Run version. If we go to Control Panel > Control Panel > double-click Programs and Features, it only has 2 repair option and no Add or Remove Features option.
The above method applied to Office 2013 MSI version, not applies to C2R version.  Thus,we can install Office 365  languages/proofing tool directly from the
    Office 365 portal.

It's recommended to download and install
Configuration Analyzer Tool (OffCAT), which is developed by Microsoft Support teams. Once the tool is installed, you can run it at any time to scan for hundreds of known issues in Office

  • OBIEE 10g - Office Add-in - MS Office 2010

We have all users on MS Office 2010 and our BI app is on OBIEE 10g. Unfortunately the OBIEE 10g Office Add-in doesn't install with MS Office 2010 (It works with Office 2003 and 2007 only). Does anyone knows how to resolve this?
Other options I tried is to install Office Add-in from OBIEE 11g - It gets installed with Office 2010, but I am not able get OBIEE 10g reports.

I got the solution. Thought I should share it. The add-in available with latest version of OBIEE 10g i.e. 10.1.3.4.2 works with Office 2010.

  • Installation Malfunction (Windows Vista and Microsoft Office 2010)

I was uninstalling the program from my computer so I could clean it out completely and while I was uninstalling it the computer shut down (got unplugged) and then when I turned it back on it wouldn't let me finish uninstalling it. I tried to reinstall it
and it says I couldn't because it was still on there, and wouldn't let me uninstall it either. I uninstalled every part of it but the actual file "Microsoft Office Professional Plus 2010" and it will NOT allow me to uninstall it. When I click on
it a message pops up saying "The language of this installation package is not supported by your system."
I have a 2009 or 2010 Dell Inspiron with Windows Vista. I have enough space on my computer for the program and no viruses. I've been trying to reinstall this program all day, can someone please help me?

Your last uninstallation is not completed, and you are left with a partially Office 2010 on your computer. I would suggest you to use Microsoft Fix it tool to remove any Office 2010 traces。
For details, please refer to this article:

Please have a try and let’s know if it works for you.

  • All Office 2010 Applications Slow To Produce "OPEN" or "SAVE AS" Dialog Box ONLY When PC Connected To Network

    Hello all,
Frustrating problem: ALL Office 2010 apps require a 45 second delay to produce an "open" or "save as" dialog box when the computer is connected to a LAN (wireless or wired, domain or workgroup). When the computer is NOT connected to a LAN (wireless or wired,
domain or workgroup), then Office 2010 "open" or "save as" dialog boxes open normally (and quickly).
I suspect a network search/survey function internal to MS Office is at fault.
This is NOT the infamous mapped network drive problem associated with Office 2007/2010. There are no mapped drives (nor have there ever been) on the PC, although there might exist a related solution. Additionally, there is no 45 second delay when opening
a file by double-clicking on the file itself which will launch the application.
    Other information:
    1. PC runs Windows 7 Pro 32 bit - PC is a relatively new Lenovo T400 laptop, all updates from Lenovo and MS installed, running clean and nicely otherwise, no spyware, no viruses, no previous software or hardware issues requiring assistance. Event log is
    clean.
    2. Absolutely fresh installation of Office 2010 Pro Plus (MS Action Pack)
    3. Running Office apps in safe mode does not alter problem behavior (ie, "windword.exe /a" or use CTRL key and double-click to launch app)
    4. Running Windows 7 in safe mode with networking and then subsequently testing Office apps is not possible: "license not able to validate" issue. This is a known problem and is not related to the slow dialog box response behavior.
    5. A desktop PC with the same MS Office 2010 installation, same volume license key, on the same network does NOT produce this problem.
    6. Full uninstall, reboot, and re-install of Office 2010 does not alleviate problem
    7. Disabling ALL startup items and services (including, of course, ALL Lenovo management software) does not alleviate problem
    8. SMB v2 bug is not the problem: ie, disabling mrxsmb20 service does not alleviate symptoms.
    9. I have isolated "Client for Microsoft Networks", "QOS Packet Scheduler", "Link-Layer Topology Discovery Mapper I/O Driver" (and Responder), and "Printer and File Sharing for MS Networks" in the network adapter properties are NOT causing the issue.
    10. Using Sysinternals Registry Monitor, I was able to determine that Office apps evaluate certain properties of your Internet Explorer settings before attempting to launch the "open" or "save as" dialog box. Altering the way intranets are detected, for
example, does not alleviate the symptoms.
    11. Turning off Antivirus software (Avira Personal) does not alleviate the issue.
This issue is causing a huge loss of work efficiency. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
    Thank you for your time.
    Sincerely,
    Rick

    Hello Rick,
Through all the research I have done so far and talking with a few other coworkers what the common issues that cause this are is:
    1. Antivirus: disabling the antivirus is not good enough it needs to be totaly uninstalled and retested.
    2. startup programs: these need to be disabled through either Safe mode with networking or the start menu or MSconfig.
    3. Office addins: Disable all of them see if that helps. Then turn them back on one by one to see which addin is causing the issue.
To disable addins: 1. open up regedit and navigate to this key. HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\14.0\Word\Addins and HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Office\Word\Addins
Then change the LoadBehavior to 0 this will disable the addin. 3 lets it run. Since this affected only one user HKEY_LOCAL_USER might be your best bet but don't rule out the other location.
To verify there are no addins running go to the File tab>options>Add-Ins make sure nothing is listed under Active Application Add-ins.
    I hope this helps
    Thanks,

  • Include all updates for Office 2010 PP during custom network install

    Hello...
I'm currently doing a custom network install of Office 2010 Professional Plus 32bit edition. The custom install is working fine with the MSP file in the \Updates folder.
I would now like to add all of the current updates, hotfixes, and service packs to the \Update folder so that Office 2010 is completely up-to-date when being deployed. I understand that I need to put the MSP files for these updates, hotfixes, and service
    packs in the \Updates folder.
    A couple questions:
1 - Is there one place that I can download all of the Office 2010 PP 32bit edition updates, hotfixes, and service packs... Excluding any 64bit edition updates? A repository of some sort?
2 - I'm assuming that if the hotfixes, and updates are downloaded as .CAB, I first need to extract it, get the .MSP file and put that into the \Updates folder?
3 - I think Service Packs come down as .exe's??!! If so, do I just put the .exe files in the \Update folder as well or do I need to run something special to extract them like I do with the .CAB files
I appreciate any help someone can give. If there is a better way to accomplish this, I'm open to all suggestions :)
    Thanks... Frank

  • ZCM 11.2 Beta Windows 7 with Office 2010 imageing

Hi we are testing the ZCM 11.2 for imaging Windows 7 Clients.
Now we have a nice Bug with the new Image.
Fresh installation Win7 incl. Office 2010 syspreped --> imaged with zcm11.1 everything is normal (of cause image up/download is slow). Imaged with zcm11.2, the hole Office 2010 installation is dead, no Outlook Profile, starting Excel it will reinstall VB for Access, word will reconfig him self....(3rd party imaging tools work also fine). An Office repair fix it, but its not an solution.

    Hi Shaun,
One of my customers experienced the same thing, and when I looked at the image, all the 8.3 folder names have been removed by the imaging engine either during the image capture or during the image restore. Obviously, the issue with this that most applications relying on the PATH variable do not run correctly or do not run at all, as the PATH is full of 8.3 path names, but they cannot be resolved by the OS as they do not exists after the image restore (including the ZCM Agent commands such as zac).
Would you be so kind to put this onto the list of bugs please, as I don't know how to.
The conference calls for ZCM are at 4:30am NZ time and this is too early to attend and anyway they are not the right place to raise individual issues.

  • Office 2010 Professional Plus Download / Install

I recently completed a Microsoft Self-Audit and discovered that we have an additional 50 copies of Microsoft Office 2010 Professional Plus, MAK.  I have contacted customer support via online chat and they have confirmed my key is valid, they gave me
a number to call to continue my quest for the download.  Upon calling that number it told me to fill out a form online and it would put a ticket in for someone to call me.  The fee for submitting that ticket would be nearly $300 dollars (I might
as well get the next version of office).
I have searched the web for days now and have attempted to download then activate every trial version and have had little luck.  I also discovered a page that allows you to use your product key to download a copy of the version you need, however when
trying to submit it it states that the version of office associated with the key does not allow additional copies to be downloaded.
Although my company states they are willing to purchase the updated software I would feel bad losing 50 copies (which close to the number of employees in this company) of office 2010.
TL;DR 50 extra keys with no download page.

  • Problem opening documents from SharePoint (2013) libraries with Office 2010 and 2013 components installed

    Hi
I've been encountering the problem of Office files failing to open from SharePoint 2013 libraries with the prefix of 'ms-excel:ofv|u|' etc. in the url. Following the
helpful questions and answers in the forum, I've identified the likely cause as the fact that my main Office installation is 2010, but I also have installed OneDrive for Business 2013 (which I need in order to sync document libraries with my local drive).
The solution I've seen suggested elsewhere of deactivating the SharePoint integration of Office 2013 components fails for two reasons: there is no way (or at least, I can't find one) of deactivating SharePoint integration probably because, deactivating
SharePoint integration would likely stop the syncing of libraries/folders.
One thing that I have noticed in my case that I've not seen mentioned elsewhere is that if I right-click a document and select 'open in new tab/window' the required
document opens directly in the relevant office package. I don't know if this is a useful observation, but it seems to be new information.
My question is, is there a way I can continue to sync libraries and open Office documents directly in Office 2010? My thoughts are possible changes to registry settings
(which I can do, but don't know enough to find the correct ones myself) or (re)installation of software in some appropriate order to leave the correct settings.
I have 'repaired' my Office 2010 installation without any observed affect on behavior.
    Thanks
    Ray
(I've just seen a suggestion that Office 2010 SP2 may fix this issue. I've requested to test this, but whilst this may fix my problem, rolling it out to
other users may be more problematic. In the meantime, other suggestions of solutions are welcome)

    Hi,
According to your description, it is a good way to do a test about office 2010 SP2, here is an article about this issue- limitations of using the OneDrive for Business sync app with Office 2010 applications , it may help you.

drive the personal folders were actually archived (in Office 2010 ) or if Office 365 will even support showing these personal folders.

Problem solved. I found a separate .pst file in my backups that contained the personal folders and the contacts. This file wasn't in the Win 8.1 documents\outlook files folder. So two .pst files are needed; one for the emails and the other for the personal
    folders.
