Adding Nickname in Seach Help (F4) option

Hello,
My client wants to know if we can have 'Nickname' as a search field in the search help (F4) for PERNR / Person ID.
Else if the Nickname can be added as a Return Value field.

Hi,
Please follow SPRO>Personnel Management>Personnel Administration>Basic Settings>Maintain search helps>Maintain in logon language
Select the included search helps tab. Look for PREMJ (Last name - first name - birth name) and check the box.
You should now see a search help titled Current last name - first name - birth name. The last field on that is nickname (PAD_RUFNM).

Help menu options change all the time - repair install always shows

After installing Acrobat X, I noticed the Help menu options change all the time. The repair install option is always present and sometimes the deactivate option is present but grreyed-out, somtimes it is enabled and most of the time it doesn't even show up. I have the full version purchased from a major online retailer.

I should add the following: The Sound control panel will not even let me click on the "Show volume in Menu Bar" check box.
I just now installed the latest Brother control panel (Leopard compatible) and it DOES appear in the menu bar.

Seach help of WBS element in CAT2

Hi All
Is there any way to change the seach help of Receiver WBS element in the CAT2 worklist . I need to get only the WBS elements which are assigned to the relevant person. (standard progam is displaying all the WBS elements)

This is purely technical.
Take the help of an abaper.
Maintain a Ztable with Personnel Number and the WBS Elements.
Now a Search help has to be created for the fields in the Ztable. Im not sure if u need to use a checktable also to validate.
Use this search help in the table CATSD for the field RPROJ (WBS).
Im not completely sure if this will work out. But i have tried it for other fields in some infotype.
This can be done only by an abaper. You can take the help of an abaper and get it done.

Duplicate help menu options?

Hey guys, I just wondered if any of you saw duplicate "Help" menu options for some programs. I have this issue with iWork, iWeb, and several other non-Apple programs. Usually the second Help option has a choice to bring up the program's help documentation, but when you click that option, it doesn't work. Does anyone know how to remove the extraneous menus? Thanks!

Have you tried the procedures outlined in Troubleshooting Help Viewer by Dr. Smoke?
Additionally, OnyX has a Reset Help function:"Mac OS Help: This command restore library of the application and deletes certain files that might cause problems when you want to show the Mac OS Help. To find again the Help of an application in the Mac OS Help Library, you must relaunch the Help, at least one time, from this application."

Elementry Seach help is not working as per requirement.........plsss help

Here is my query on Sap Search help.
I have created a customised elelemtary search help zclarify in the table EKKO for the field zf_clarify.
This search help i have created under the collective search help MEKK and the included search help ASH_MEKK.
Now my probelem is whenever i am trying to seach the PO using the table by using the zf_clarify as the reference i am not getting anything.
Ex- if you to to the selection criteria screen of EKKO table and try to searhch for any particular Purchase Order by selecting the PO,that po number will display in the selection screen.Similarly if i am trying to search through clarify option i am not getting any value in the clarify field.
Please help me where i am doing wrong, I have one confusion that while creating the Data Element there is a search help option,there i have given MEKK and zclarify,but i am not getting any value in the table seletion screen.
Please give me idea how to create the search help so that my problem will solve.

when there is some manual change done on the Schedule line. So the control of the program will not stop on this form. Kindly suggest.

Adding Media Center feature not an option on Win 8.1 Pro

Found the instructions below most helpful in terms of adding a Windows Media Center upgrade key to my Windows 8.1 pro (full, clean install) and the option "add features to Windows 8.1" is not an option listed...(The only option showing is "turn
windows options on and off")... Therefore, the path for purchasing or adding this feature seems impossible to find.

Two questions:
1. Should I be able to use the older Windows 8 Media Center Pack product key, if able to get to that point?
2. Why am I not able to find the "add features" option, having looked from multiple directions?

You don't say that you attached the iso to the VM. The easiest way to do
that is to connect to the VM and then on the console, pull down the
"Media" menu, Select "Insert Disk", then browse to the ISO and select it.
Then under the "Action" menu, select "Reset".
You can also mount an iso in the settings for the VM.

Adding a field to free selection option in F110 using BTE 00001820

Hello,
I am trying to activate BTE 00001820 so i can add the user name field to the free selection prameters screen in F110.
Did all the configuration in FIBF, creat a Z for the relevant function.
I added a break point inside the function expecting to go inside it when i activate the free selection tab in F110.
No matter what i do the function is not activated.
I would appriciate your help with the issue.

N70 - Adding itmes to the 'Go To' option

Hi there,
Can anybody help?
According to the phones help (and the manual) it should be possible to add additional items to the 'Go To' menu but I don't seem to be able to do this.
I have tried adding various options but none of them seem to give me the option to add to 'Go To'
Any ideas?

Only some (few) built-in apps have support for adding items to "Go To".
Psiloc or somebody had a separate utility that could add other stuff to it, too, but I never used it (the app or the "Go To" feature).
On newer phones the whole "Go To" app has disappeared entirely.

How to restrict the values in seach helps

Dear All,
I am new to the BSP concept.I have a requirement
where in the BSP i need to restrict the values of the search help.i.e. 2 values are coming in the help i need to display only 1 value.
can anybody please explain how to do it.

I assume that you read values for the search help with function 'F4IF_FIELD_VALUE_REQUEST' and in a later step you display values with <htmlb:tableview>. If that is true and the function is delivering too many records as you mention, you could then restrict the output table of values like this:

Custom seach help for standard field in Web dynpro application

Hi All,
I have a requirement in SRM portal where in I have a to add a custom search help to the 'WBS_ELEMENT' field in the the 'ACCOUNT ASSIGNMENT' tab of the Shopping cart creation screen with some input parameters on the search help.
As the SRM Shopping cartcreation screen is a standard web dynpro application.
Can anyone help me in this regard for addition of search help for a field with some custom fields in the Search help screen.
Any inputs will be very helpful.

Hi Ahmed,
If it is an standard application then you will have to do ENHANCEMENT in the component. And for using customised value help you will have to declare attribute in CONTEXT and dynamically change the binding of the Value property of UI element inside post-method of WDDOMODIFY. You can create your own customised value help for newly added attribute.

Adding items in JComboBox - Help

Hy, I have a JComboBox() and a JTextField().
when I input a name in the JTextField and clicks on the "Ok" button
the name is added in the JComboBox().
What I want is when I click on the "Ok" button, a check is made to see
whether the name input in the JTextField already exist in the JComboBox().
If is exist a message is displayed else it is added.
How to perform the check.

Hi.
The JComboBox uses a model to get its hands on the elements to be displayed. Thus you must search the model to see if the string is already contained.
Use something like this:

when we run a report using PNP we get a further selections button on top. can we add a new field like molga, in that further selection option if yes then how...can someone help me on that.

I guess the Report your using must be SAP standard report.If yes, then you have to copy that program to some Z-program & make the change in the program itself.
Because this logic is in program itself.
This is the only way.
Correct me, if I am wrong.

Over limit - help with options

I have a wedding dvd that is 4.59 GB so it's just a hair over the limit. I need it to be best quality for viewing - so the encoding is set right now at "Best Performance." I have menus at 780 MB (they have motion and audio - audion is only like 5 MB, motion I already reduced menu as a QT menu to play in background - it's only 21 MB, so that's not going to get me there by eliminating).
I don't think I want to change quality of encoding - or is there a setting that is less that won't change viewing quality on DVD?
Or, how many minutes do I need to cut? If I cut video, then how do I replace the video on iDVD. Everything is all set and customized, not a standard theme, so I don't want to redo. Would like to replace the movie for "Play movie" and will chapters all stay set pulling from the movie?

If DL is supported on your Burner then you should be ok provided iDvd can see the settings for DL as opposed to SL.
Burning to a DVD+R DL (Double Layer) disc
Newer SuperDrive optical drives in Macintosh computers can burn discs in DVD+R DL (Double Layer) format. Double-layer discs store almost twice as much content as single-layer discs, making them a great choice for large projects.
To see whether your computer’s SuperDrive can burn DVD+R DL discs, choose Project > Project Info. If you see 8.0 GB (Double Layer) in the DVD Type pop-up menu, you can use DVD+R DL discs for your project.
To burn a project to a DVD+R DL disc:
With the finished project open in iDVD, choose Project > Project Info and then choose Double Layer (DL) from the DVD Type pop-up menu.
Select the encoder setting you want to use. If you have more than 120 minutes of content, select High Quality.
Click the Burn button (shown below).
When prompted, insert a DVD+R DL disc into the drive.
You can use your internal SuperDrive or an external third-party drive.
If the disc isn’t blank, iDVD asks whether you want to erase the disc.
If your project is small enough to fit on a single-layer disc and you insert a double-layer disc, you see a dialog giving you the option to change the media type. You can cancel the burn and start again, or insert a single-layer disc and continue.
You should always burn double-layer discs directly from iDVD and not from a disc image. Double-layer discs burned from a disc image may cause playback issues in some DVD players, such as freezing during playback.
NOTE: After burning, to eject a disc from your computer’s internal disc drive, press the Media Eject key on your keyboard, if there is one. On keyboards with no Media Eject key, hold down the F12 key until the eject icon appears and your disc is ejected.

Help with Option 3 please

A week ago I was on Option 1 but due to heavy use my speed was reduced to 15.7k/sec !.I was advised to upgrade to Option 3 which I promptly did and that was done on the 29th(last week).
My speed though is still 15k/sec and I cannot watch any streaming video or BBC News Channels etc
Would some kind gentleman please look into it for me and advise.......thankyou
