Adding one more system in existing stms landscape

Hi Gurus,
I am trying to add one sandbox system to my present landscape
configure TMS for four systems, out of which two systems (DEV1 and DEV2) are with same SID (DEV). As recommended by SAP, I understand that there can not be two systems with same SID in a transport domain.
and also my domain controller is DEV system,
please suggest how can i add DEV sand box in this landscape

Hi,
Yes, you can do that. Once cofiles and data files are generated after transport request is released in Quality system, you can import them into Sandbox system by manually adding them into import buffer.
If Sandbox system does not have common /usr/sap/trans, you have to manually copy those cofiles and data files from Quality to Sandbox /usr/sap/trans/cofiles and .../data and add the request to import buffer of Sandbox system from either STMS or OS level using tp addtobuffer command.
Please make sure STMS is configured in Sandbox system as local domain before you perform above said steps.

    i have a Duet Enterprise landscape configured where i have one SCL system and one ECC system. As of now, Reporting and Workflow scenarios are configured on the ECC system.
    Now i would like to add another ECC (say ECC_2) system into the landscape where i can work with Starter Services.

    Hi,
    yes, adding a second system is no problem. That is actually one of the great "features" of Duet Enterprise: you can easily connect multiple system and expose (even aggregated) data to SharePoint.

    Yes, you can do that. Just de-select all but the "Connect to SAP System". When executing this step, the required RFC destinations (both on the SCL and the backend system) will be created, as well as required trusts will be established (e.g. exchange PSE certificates for Web Service Trust / SAP Logon Ticket and Trusted System connections for RFC based communication)

    Leave the 1 in the textbox. This is just a number of how many system you want to connect.

    Yes, that is also possible. If you take a look at the IMG (SIMGH -> Service Consumption Layer Administration -> General Settings -> Manage Business Object Groups) that's where the "applications" are stored. These Business Object Groups represent the different applications that you see and use in SharePoint. So for example you see the Business Object Group "SPI_WORKFLOW" (if you used the default BC set configuration) which contains the Business Object "IW_WF_TASK".
    Now if you take a look at the "Assign SAP System Aliases" (just select "SPI_WORKFLOW" and double click on "Assign SAP System Aliases") you can see to which server this Business Object Group / scenario is assigned. If the "User Role" is empty this means that all users on the SCL are assigned to this system. Via this table you could assign different roles to different backend system.
    This "System Alias" is -- as the name says -- just an alias for the real RFC destination that points to your backend system. If you want to see what backend system this is, you have to go to SIMGH -> Service Consumption Layer Administration -> Connection Settings -> SCL to SAP System -> Manage SAP System Aliases  here you can see which System Alias points to which RFC destination.
    So in your case -- if you want to switch the backend systems -- you can either change the RFC destination that is assigned to a system alias here, or you create a new system alias (with the RFC destination that points to your new backend system) and assign this System alias to the Business Object Group.
    I know it might sound confusing the first time you do it, but it all makes sense and is pretty logic if you get used to it.

  • Strange bug -- adding one more button OR page causes Form warning to appear

    I'm building a simple interactive document in InDesign CS4 on the Mac, to be exported/delivered as a PDF. There are a few text-based buttons on the Master Page that are set to Go To a Text Anchor on Release. There are 4 buttons of these buttons on the page, and each one leads to a different page in the document, and they all work fine. They are all built the same way.
    I want to export a PDF that opens cleanly in Reader, meaning no unexpected dialog boxes or warning messages appear. Up until this point, my document opens cleanly in Reader.
    However, when I create a FIFTH button (using the exact same method used to create the other buttons), OR I add ANY more pages to my document (which currently stands at 16 pages, but will need to ultimately be upwards of 40), for some reason, opening the PDF in Reader causes Reader to start displaying the large, distracting pink warning message at the top of the page:
    "Please fill out the following form. You cannot save data typed into this form. Please print your completed form if you would like a copy for your records."
    The fifth button I create (from scratch) causes this message to appear.
    Or, if I add another page (using my Master Page, where the buttons are used), this message appears. Even if the fifth button is not created, and I add another page from the Master, this message appears.
    If I add a blank new page (without using the Master Page), the message does NOT appear.
    So, for some reason, adding ONE more button, or referring to the Master Page in the document ONE more time by adding a 17th (or more) pages, seems to kick InDesign/Acrobat Reader into thinking my document is suddenly a form, and causes Reader to display that obnoxious pink message when opening the document.
    I've tried several troubleshooting steps.
    - I've ensured my buttons have unique names.
    - I've tried creating the fifth button from scratch, and also tried creating it from duplicating one of the existing "good" buttons.
    - I've made sure the button has a destination page/Text Anchor to go to.
    - I've opened the PDF in Acrobat Pro 9, and gone through all of the page and buttons in the Forms Manager, and there is nothing out of the ordinary in that view.
    Why is Reader suddenly thinking my document is a form (that "cannot be edited/saved") when I add one more button, or one more page!? It's bizarre, and quite frustrating.

    You can use that same workaround with ID CS4 files. You just have to make the PDF and then go into Acrobat to add the security that doesn't allow editing (Acrobat -> Security -> Encrypt with Password) . That gets rid of the warning about the form. Of course if you actually have a form somewhere in your document, you won't be able to use that......

    I'm having a requirement of adding the adding one more workflow user for approving the task. How to add one more workflow user in the human and allow him to approve the task which has been already approved by another workflow user, means it is hierarchical approval.
    First the task has been approved by assignee then finally the task has been approved by the approver who has admin rights.

  • Adding one more tab in apex 4.0??

    Hi All,
    In my home page, i already have a Tab thats having four different name.When i click on that name its navigating to four diffrent page
    I want to add one more tab below the existing Tab,The new tab should contains these there values Home,Report1,REPORT2 when I click Report1 it should navigate to page 3 and similarly for remaining names.
    I tried to create a new tab set as well as new tab..but that’s getting added in the same Tab. I have changed the Page template as Two level Tabs also but then also not getting resolved , do I have to set any properties?

      when ever you create any Generic DS, you can find generic DS(I checked this), comming append fields(it's happend to me)... there is no meaning.. as we know... we will extract the data for append fields using existing DS.
    Comming Raju:
    to my knowledge, you should not add that field as selection enabled(wait for others posts). I had seen many posts for working on this... by updating the Table ROOSFIELD table for the respective DS. I never implemented this... if you update this using any custom program be careful. Ihave ccreated the program for append fields not for Standard Extractor.

    I don't see any issue with double sides vPC between two pairs of 5Ks.  I think, the reason you don't see it often is because usually you have a set of 5ks with vPC as layer-2 and a set of 7Ks as layer-2/3.  Of course you could use a second set of 5Ks in place of 7Ks and use them as layer-2/3.  This is with daughter cards installed on 5Ks.

    We have configured Charm in our landscape and we use Solution Manager 7.1 SP08.
    Requirements:
    Add a new system to the existing ChaRM Project.
    Edit the logical components for e.g. To replace current SID (QA1) with another SID (QA2)
    Add items (Systems or Tasks)to the existing task list
    We faced problems (duplicate record dumps), while configuring as per our requirements above. SAP suggested us to
    Close the Project and create a new one to include a new system. [This is not feasible for us]
    Close the current maintenance cycle and create a new one if you want to edit the logical systems or to add any task or system to the existing task list.
    So we have the following questions
    What is the impact on closing the current maintenance cycle? We have half of transports in released and half in locked status.What happens to the transports that are not yet released?
    Will they automatically get released or
    Will they not get impacted or
    Will they get assigned to the new maintenance cycle automatically or
    Do we need to do it manually or does it not matter
    Since we are close to starting our ITC, how do we go about that? How will we bundle our transports for our ITC with different maintenance cycles holding transports
    What is the impact on locking a maintenance cycle?
    What is the impact on project team members on creating a new maintenance cycle?
    How does the maintenance cycle get impacted if we refresh existing systems?

    We have a new requirement from the client asking us to include a few new functionalities(pages--- all together a new application has to be embedded into our application) in our application. By adding these new functionalities, the number of hits to our application can be doubled.
    As per the above requirement, I would like to know that whether to create a new schema or to create some new tables in the existing database for the new functionalities.
    By what way, can I handle the number of requests in a better way? by creating the new schema or by creating the new tables for the new functionalities.
    Also I would like like to know what kind of factors will differ between creating a new schema or creating new tables for the new functionalities in the existing schema.
    FYI... We are using Cold Fusion as front-end and Oracle 9i for back-end

    The short answer is that from a performance point of view there will be no difference. The issues are more to do with maintenance.

  • Adding one more enqueue process to ECC 5.0

    we are running with ECC 5.0 talking to CRM 4.0 & BW ,many times it has been observed that lakhs of queues(inbound) remain stuck due to non availability of the enqueue process at ECC ,after checking the same at ECC it was for a long in "running" state ideally a enq process should be in running state only for few milli secs
    so its only after its restart we can proceed i know its possible to incraese the enqueue Work process as finally we have only one lock table , but i need to kow the process on how to add this work process & what cautionary thin gs to be taken care while adding an enqueue work process.

  • Macbook pro seems not to be shut down normally after adding one more user account

    after i have created a new user account and i tried to shut it down, it does not appear a white background on the screen to let me know if the pc was in the process. After few second the screen becomes black and it shuts down.
    I tried to turn on the pc and it works normally but when i shuts my pc down, the same problem appears.
    I have already delected one user account but the problem still appears.
    I am not sure is it ok or not?

    I experienced the same problem. What I noticed that problem seems to occur more often when bluetooth is switched on. For instance, today I wanted to switch off bluetooth connectivity before switching off laptop completely. The bluetooth icon in menu bar from some strange reason froze completely, rest of programs and OS were working fine. When I wanted to switch off the laptop it happened again, it froze and the only way to switch it off was to hold power button.

    I have already extarcted data to BW using 2LIs_13_Vditm datasource and the deltas are also loaded.
    Initially when the extract structure(in LBWE) was maintained in LBWE, the field KTGRM-Acct.Assgnmt group was not selected from the POOL.Now there is a requirement to include that in the maintenance of extract structure.
    My question is, can i directly add the field to the datasource in R/3,without any coding in CMOD like in enhancements, and replicate again to BW without disturbing the existing data? OR Do I have to add the field in Trans.Stru, Update rules and cube and goahead loading data.

    You can add any field listed in the pool of available fields directly to your LO datasource without enhancing the extract structure and coding in CMOD. But be aware to empty the delta queue and the extraction queue before, otherwise you can't change the extract structure.
    After replicating the changed datasource you have to update the relevant infoproviders, update rules and the infosource, because the new field was not known before.
    It is also recommended to reload the data from the source system in order to populate the new field for all data.

    1) Ability to enter in baseline prices by part by supplier.
    If no supplier is entered then the baseline value applies to all suppliers. If a price needs to be recorded specific to a supplier, then the supplier code must be entered. Thus, a part may have two entries (one for all suppliers, and one or more for each unique supplier that needs to be recorded).
    How to proceed for this requirement..how to start ...please help me..is this config change or code change..or it is related to custom or standrard change?

    You can define access sequence (SPRO->Materials Management->Purchasing->Conditions->Define Price Determination Process) for the condition type to look at Vendor/Material level and Material level in the sequence. Please make the access Exclusive so that no further search is carried out once  a condition record for Vendor/Material level is found.
