After exporting a movie

What progran does everybody use to create a movie with themes besides iDVD. Or how do you create a movie to view on your DVD player. Need ideas.

There is some good information here.

  • I'm trying to make a timelapse with 900 pictures converted into 30 fps to get a 30 seconds video but after exporting my movie why is my video length 15 minutes?

So, I downloaded a slideshow templates and I'm trying to make a timelapse with 900 pictures converted into 30 fps to get a 30 seconds video but after exporting my movie why is my video length 15 minutes?

What settings are you using to export the video with?  I think 29.97fps is the only one that works with LR 5:

  • In fcpX....how can I put an IN and OUT points in my sequence and after export a movie???

In fcpX....how can I put an IN and OUT points in my sequence and after export a movie???

You can't. You can't export part of a sequence. Duplicate it and remove the bits you don't want to export from the duplicate.

  • After exporting finished movie project, one clip is gone but all others are visabel

I hope someone can help me out. After importaing my movie project from iMovie into FCPX I made some changes to the project and was able to exported it. After exporting, all clips we visable with the expection of one.  How can I fix this? The original event is in my list so I have no clue what is going on.

    File>Relink Event Files.

  • Poor audio quality after exporting to .MOV.

Voiceover in my video sounds crystal clear in the timeline but then thin and "rattley" after export when playing back with Quicktime player. Background music on other tracks always seems to be unaffected. Audio export set to AAC, 48 kHZ, Stereo. I must export to a Quicktime .mov format because it's the only file type that I can upload to YouTube without the color quality being distorted after upload. Adobe Updater says all of my programs are updated.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

How did you record the VO? is it a mono or stereo track, how are you viewing the export. Sometimes when just one section of the audio is wrong it is due to audio phase problems, I have not seen this with a vo before but it might be the issue. See:
Re: 1 of 2 audio tracks missing on certain browsers (h.264)

  • No sound after exporting to .mov

When I export to a .mov using QT the sound from my project is gone. I tried to exporting to movie and get sound on a .m4v file but would prefer a .mov Any suggestions?

I think the iPhone can only record in mono..... I haven't found a way to capture stereo yet.

  • Jumpy video after Exporting Quicktime Movie from PS CS4 Extended

I am trying to produce a short training video for work.  I created my entire movie in iMovie '09, and decided that it desperately needed some arrows and text to clarify some of the more technical aspects.  I exported it as a Quicktime file from iMovie and imported into Ps CS4 extended.
After I finished the editing, I chose to export my video, again as a Quicktime movie.
The export completed, and when I went to review my movie, it was extremely jumpy.  Watching the time line on the bottom of the Quicktime screen, I noticed that it was jumping in multiple second intervals.  The audio portion seemed normal, but the video kept freezing and scrambling.
I attempted re-exporting the video with the Quicktime settings of Animation, and Frames Per Second set at current.
    No difference.
Any ideas what I am doing wrong????

    Marian -
Thank you for your response.  I am only an amateur video editor, and up until now, I hadn't bumped up against the limitations of iMovie too often.  You are definitely correct, it would FAR easier to do these effects in FCE, FCPro, AE, Premiere, etc., except for one thing . . . I don't own any of those programs!    (I've already ordered a copy of Final Cut Express, but it stinks to have to spend $200 to get $7 worth of personal functionality.)
I do, however, own the extended Ps CS4.  And, to paraphrase the guy on Lynda.com, "You already have it, and you know how to use it . . . It should work for you . . ."
This is the information on the file, it was exported this way automatically by iMovie (They don't give you much control over these functions.)
Unfortunately, I trashed my output from PS as well as the .psd in a fit of rage!  It wouldn't take me more than 30 minutes to recreate it . . .
Would it be worth attempting to export it using H.264 instead of the animation Codec?

  • Jagged images after export to .mov format

    Hi everyone reading,
In a project I'm working on in FlashCS3 Pro, I have a problem
with export > Quicktime film > ect.
When the encoding to the .mov format is finished and I play
my new created movie in QuickTime
a lot of images are jagged, not complete or the previous
    frame remains in the vieuw.
How can I get a real clean and proper encoding from a .fla to
    QuickTime H.264 or QT Animation?

    Welcome to the discussions, evorot69.
If your original file is an MPEG file, you'll need to use MPEG Streamclip in order to convert it to an iPhone format WITH the audio.

  • Audio is not synced with video after Exporting QuickTime Movie

I have Canon DSLR footage shot 24p/1080p on the timeline. Timeline settings are the same as the Canon footage settings.
When I Export a QuickTime Movie, the audio is out of sync...
Can someone please help with this issue...
    Thanks,

Don't tell me...you edited the files the camera shoots without converting, right? The camera shoots H.264...FCP doesn't like to work with H.264. The problem is that it SEEMS like it will work, but really is rife with issues when trying to work with it. You have encountered one...loss of sync.
The proper workflow is to convert the footage first...
    #51 - Canon 5D MkII / Canon 7D footage into FCP
Shane's Stock Answer #51 - how do you bring in footage from the Canon 5D and 7D cameras into FCP to edit?
You need to convert all of the Canon 5D MkII footage from the H.264 format that it records, to ProRes 422 (ProRes HQ is unnecessary...no quality difference)  Yes, the file sizes get drastically larger.  H.264 is an acquisition and delivery format, not an editing one.
You can use the Canon EOS Log and Transfer plugin that works with the 1D, 5D and 7D cameras.  This plugin is great because it brings in the camera's TIME OF DAY as timecode, instead of starting each clip at 00:00:00:00 like Compressor or other conversion software will do.

    http://provideocoalition.com/index.php/ssimmons/story/canon_releases_a_dslr_plug _in_for_final_cut_pros_log_and_transfer_tool/
And the workflow for tapeless ingest into FCP:
    http://library.creativecow.net/ross_shane/tapeless-workflow_fcp-7/1
But for a quick fix...change your SEQUENCE SETTINGS to ProRes...render, and then export.

  • Adding titles after exporting large movie

Is there any way to add titles to an exported file simply? I just want to add on title to a section that I forgot to put in. I really don't want to wait another 4 and a half hours for imovie to export a new large movie. Any suggestions?

I suppose you could use QuickTime Pro to cut out just the portion of your movie needing titles and import that back to iMovie.
When you're done, export and copy and paste it back in again using QuickTime Pro.
    http://www.apple.com/quicktime/pro/
It costs a few bucks, but QuickTime Pro is a handy tool to have around.

  • All audio disappears after exporting to .mov file

I'm creating a short 'montage' piece, and all audio is muted except for a song which I added into the timeline. I've tried exporting it several times, even replacing the source file for the song, but nothing seems to work. The audio is visible and playing in the timeline, but as soon as I export it, it magically disappears.
    Any suggestions?

Adding to Russ's comments and questions: if you are exporting a file, you get to choose to export only audio, only video or both. Check your setttings in that regard; to complicate matters, this setting sometimes does not stick (a known bug in 10.0.8). If that is the case, the usual workaround is to change some other parameter, make an export (which you can cancel), then go back to the export panel and change it back.

  • Photo quality change after exporting

    Hello
I'm working on a short film project that should be made from photos not videos (so photos are critical in this iMovie project), but after exporting the movie ( in HD) I found out that the photos' quality were reduced?
Most of the photos are darky, with dark backgrounds, they look good enough in iMovie but after exporting they look lighted up, which ruins my movie.
    What should I do??
    Thanks in advance

That is odd, I have not been aware of any drop in camera quality via an update with this model. With this being the case I would advise running the update again and choosing the "Repair" option.

  • No stereo from iPhone after export?

A movie made with iPhine 4 footage played "stereo" sound from the timeline. (borth channels sound)
After uploading it to you yube: stereo. (both channels sound)
after exporting to .mov: no stereo!, one chanal empthy, one sound!
I did it twice after total restart the mbpro: the same as in 3.
I went to the inspector, (audio) and changed 'none' to: 'stereo l/r' and exported again: yes; stereo! both channels sound.
But how is this possible? and is this normal?
    Thanks fot suggestions!
    bruce

I think the iPhone can only record in mono..... I haven't found a way to capture stereo yet.

  • IMovie HD 6.0.3: After making 10 movies where I clipped portions from a larger clip (and exported the smaller clips), suddenly iMovie clips are much shorter after I export them.

    Hi there,
I am using iMovie HD 6.0.3 on an older MacBookPro (OS X, 10.4.11).
I took an AVI video and imported that into iMovie HD.
I then created smaller clips out of that - like editing a 20 minute video into small, 30 second clips.
I made about 10 of these smaller clips, exported them using "expert settings," and burned the results to DVD. These all worked fine.
Suddenly, the final product that I export is much shorter than the clip I created. For example, I'll create a 30 second smaller clip from the original. When I review this 30 second clip, it is what I wanted.
When I export this 30 second clip, it makes a QuickTime movie that is only 23 seconds. (The first 10 I made did not do this).
I tried extending my clip by 7 seconds, hoping to end up with a 30 second clip after exporting. The result was even shorter - like 15 seconds.
I have checked disk space - it has at least 500 GB free space. I have tried exporting the clip to both my laptop and to an external hard drive. The results are the same.
I just tried using the "crop" feature to see if my end product was better - but it was the same.
Does anyone know what is going on? Why did this start after making 10 successful exports? What can I do to get it working right again, as I have 3 more clips to make and am running up against a deadline.
    Thanks so much!
    Heidi

Since I can't edit this post... (Why?) I'd add: fast forwarding and fast reverse (shift key and arrow left or right) the HA files is also not smooth. They play alright. I'm surprised iMovie can't handle them either. I didn't have a problem with the earlier camcorder's HA files... (All were converted MTS files using Movie Converter.)

  • Quality not the same after exporting movie made up of jpg images

Basically I made an animation sequence on Autodesk Maya and rendered the sequence as 2000 jpeg images each representing 1 frame, put it in one folder and on Adobe Premiere imported and dragged the folder into the timeline to make a moving image so in other words my video is made up of hundreds of jpg images.
Now on the editor it all looks HD and fine but when I export it via file > export > media, in order to match the sequence to the screen I must click on 'match sequence settings' which will snap the whole movie into the window rather than have it widescreen and once I do this I can't modify anything else such as codec, etc (codec is automatically set as MPEG -Frame and the output automatically is mpeg), is this normal? Why is it mpeg ajnd not avi...
So once I export the video with these settings (image uploaded) the quality is ok but not as good as what I see in the Premeire editor, why? What can I do to improve the quality?
On the other hand if I don't click on match to sequence settings and personally customise the paramaters such as avi, I use max settings for many things but after exporting my picture quality actually goes worse compared tomatch to sequence settings? (which has less parameters)
Why is this happening, all my jpeg images are high quality 720p and I should just be able to export it as normal...
I am trying to make a cut-scene to get into Unity so the codec is important as well.
How can I make my video best quality as possible being mpeg or avi? What settings do I need to play with?

Maybe I misunderstood, but did you actually put 2000 still images on the timeline? If so, there is another way. Go to Import and find your folder, and select only the first still in your sequence, then check the box at the bottom of the import windows that says "Numbered Sequence" or something like that. This will import the stills as a "video" clip.
Regarding Export, don't check Frame Blending or Max Render, the first being for a change of frame rate and the latter being useful for a downscale of the frame size. You are doing neither.
Also, never use "Match Sequence Settings". Leave that unchecked, and then choose whatever format YOU want to use for the export, whether .avi or H.264 or whatever.
    Thanks
