After successful install, I am unable to use RoboHelp 7 because of constant refresh of file lists

RoboHELP 7 installed on Windows XP
Our enterprise support team installed RH7 on my new laptop via our corporate intranet. I received an e-mail message reporting that the install failed so I contacted the support team, someone logged on to my machine by remote and did an uninstall of RH7. Then, the install was done again and the same failure message was received. Then, RH was uninstalled and the install was attempted for the third time. Again, I received the failure message. I had noticed that after each install the icons appeared on my desktop. So, after this third install, I went ahead and clicked the RH7 HTML icon and the program seemed to start properly. I have a key number from our enterprise team and I entered the key number to complete the registration. The UI appeared and I selected my recent project. RH built the file lists that I expected to see in the left panes of the interface but the file lists kept "twitching" and the cursor kept changing to the hourglass and back. This happened about once every two or three seconds and I could not move my cursor fast enough to select a file.
One of my co-workers suggested that I uninstall RH7 myself, check the registry and erase any robohelp entries. I know this is risky but I am confident I can do it. However, I would like to hear from any RH experts about how to solve this "twitching" problem, if there are other possible solutions. Thanks.

My gut feel is that if your organisation is large enough to have an Enterprise license, IT would not take too kindly to you uninstalling the product yourself and editing the registry. That's your issue though.
If they are happy, then you could try www.revouninstaller.com with which a number of people have reported good results if you use the stronger options to clear the registry. Again at your risk and responsibility.
You might also like to look at http://www.adobe.com/devnet/robohelp/articles/before_install.html. It includes the script IT should be using. Maybe that should be checked as well.
The other approach is to get them to do a direct install. Worth trying given the issues you are having.

I just bought a ipod touch. I am unable to use it because itunes tells me I have no internet connection (unknown error 306). I have tried all the suggestions I can find, including checking the firewall, the no proxy server is checked, resetting cache on itunes, I even scanned the computer with Registry Easy but nothing worked. I use Mozilla Firefox and have a PC with Windows 7. Obviously, buying a ipod and being unable to use it for 3 days (and counting) because I am unable to register it, is pretty frustrating. Can anyone help?

Did you try all of this:
iTunes Store loads partially or returns "Error 306" or "Error 10054"
Proxies, parental control settings and software, security or filtering software, or a bad iTunes Store cache can cause this.
To address proxies, Remove Internet Options proxy settings and connect to the Internet without a proxy.
To reset iTunes Store cache:
In iTunes, choose iTunes > Preferences (Mac) or Edit > Preferences (PC).
Click the Advanced tab.
Click the "Reset cache" button.
Click OK and see if the issue is resolved.
Adjust Parental Controls in iTunes:
Open iTunes.
Access iTunes preferences:
On a Mac: From the iTunes menu, choose Preferences.
On a Windows PC: From the Edit menu, choose Preferences.
Click the Parental Controls tab.
Remove restrictions on Parental Controls.

Missing Plug ins after successful install

In Design is missing plugins after what seems like a successful install. Other Downloads are OK ( Photoshop Lightroom ) I've tried uninstalling and re-installing sevaral times same outcome....Fisrt looks for JBX then others. Will launch but missing tolls and other things from the programe.
MacBook Pro. OSX 10.9.2
This happened after I installed a new SSD with the existing Harddrive wiped and used for data. Everything esle working fine.

Hey...thanks for taking the time to send the link but my problem is not based on the different scenarios from the link. Here are my specifics. All apps up to date, mac meets all requirements. I installed Logic 8 from box set. Went through all the CDs as the installer requested them. When the install was over no icons on my tray at bottom of desktop, no icons in the applications folder. I did see that my hard drive is about 50gb smaller than when I started. I can't uninstall abnything because there are no icons to remove from the application folder. I can't even locate any folders other than the folders created for all the jampack and audio file.
When I put the install cd back in the installer sees that logic has been installed and stays grayed out and I can't select it to reinstall it. I have checked every folder I can think of looking for the folder containing all the software for Logic but it is nowhere to be found.
Its as if logic is in limbo on my machine. It isn't visible to me but is taking up space and can't be removed cause it can't be seen.

J6480 stops printing on wireless after successful install

I have a J6480 installed on our wireless network at home. 3 PCs are sharing it a). Dell XPS desktop XP SP3, b). Dell Studio 15 Windows 7, c). Dell Inspiron 15r Windows 7. I downloaded the latest J6480 software package, with drivers for the Studio laptop and installed it. We never have any printing problems with the desktop running XP. However, the Studio laptop went through a successful install of the latest J6480 software package and drivers about 6 months ago. After the install, all test pages and subsequent printing worked fine for a period of time but one day when I sent a print to it, it just sat in the print queue and wouldn't print. Power down/up on the printer, etc - no printing. Prints from the XP system worked fine. I removed the printer from "devices and printers" on my laptop and went through the "find a network/wireless printer" process. It found the printer twice (under two different names but same IP, which is very curious), and I selected one, completed the install process, and was on my way with printing again. I go through this process about once a month. I've even gone through deleting all entries for the printer in the registry (saw that as a recommended solution in a blog somewhere) - problems still persists as described.
I got my wife the Inspiron 15r for Xmas and downloaded/installed the latest J6480 software package with drivers on her laptop. Everything has worked flawlessly these past 3 weeks. Starting today however, she is running into the exact same problem as I described above with my laptop.
I have run the HP printer diagnostic utility numerous times. It tells me I have a print stuck in the print queue (I knew that...) and removes it. It then tells me to power down the PC and the printer, power them both back on and try again. After doing that, the utility starts back up and says it "made some changes" and everything looks fine. However, when I print a test page - nothing prints. Remove the printer - rediscover and reinstall - print works fine.
Obviously, I can't keep deleting the printer and reinstalling it. Any ideas or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Last night I prompted for a software update on my ipod touch. At the end of the update it said an error had occured, and then prompted me to restore my ipod. Since the time of the restore I am unable to use Facetime or Imessage as I cannot get signed in. When I enter my apple ID to either of these applications it says "An error occurred during activation. Try again", and when I attempt to "create a new account" both applications say "Unable to contact the (facetime or imessage) server. Try again" - Dokes anyone now how to fix this??????????????

Lightroom 5.2 won't open after "successfully installed" - can anybody please help me understand why?

Hi everyone
I've bought and downloaded Adobe Lightroom 5 for a new iMac 27" intel core 5 3,4 GHz. The machine is only three days old and no more updates are to be found when searching for it. However; after the message that "lightroom 5 has successfully been installed" I don't get to open the program. So I never get to the point where I can register the serial number / registration key for purchased product.
I've followed the instructions that comes with Lightroom 5, but no luck. Also tried to uninstall and reinstall.
No secret that I'm total incompetent when it comes to understanding of computers and software....
Hope someone can help me understand what I'm doing wrong, and sugest some good solutions :-)

I think you may need to uninstall and then start over. There is no installer on the Mac for Lightroom so select it in Applications and send it to the trash. I suggest you download again from a different source. You can use the link below to download the free trial and then validate the software after installation with your product serial number. Ensure you choose your language version and MAC platform from the dropdown list at the top of the page.
After you click download it starts by downloading or updating (replace) the Adobe Download Assistant. You then browse the products and select Photoshop Lightroom 5 to start the installation.

I assume you are using QuarkXPress 6.5 or earlier. As these are not Intel-native, these versions need Apple's emulation environment (called Rosetta) to run on modern Macs. Mountain Lion does not have Rosetta anymore.
So you need to upgrade to at least version 7.0.1 (9.3. is current) to get QuarkXPress to run on Mountain Lion. Upgrades are possible from any version.
As Csound1 correctly points out, QuarkXPress 9.3 is not yet officially certified on Mountain Lion. Still, most Quark users though can run it just fine on Mountain Lion. There is one known issue (besides the Gatekeeper limitation when installing) with some Graphics Cards, removing "Welcome Screen.xnt solves" that.
