Spotify has proved to have the WORST customer service of any large company I have ever dealt with. The website is not user friendlt, there is no one to talk to directly and even the email service is shotty.  I just want to delete my account so my newly PURCHACHED PREMIUM account will work and stop auto-signing in my old account. I am trying to give these people money and can't get there stuff togethe rlong enough to make it work.  I mean, there is ZERO direct communication between people who can actually access your account and a customer. This experience is so bad I wish there was a competitor worth going to.  I would much rather give my money to a similar site with better customer interaction than deal with this "community forum" that leads to no solutions AT ALL.

    If I upgraded to 10.5, would any of the problems such as misplaced files and apps, etc. in Tiger 10.4.11 interfere with the upgrade.
    If it's Apple Apps, like Safari, Mail, etc., then there will be new versions to replace all the missing files/components.
    The Mac OS X Installer stops with 2 minutes remaining and it can't finish copying the disc.

    That second Disc thing happens frequently, the best way around it is to do a Custom install, and eliminate enough Printer Drivers, Languages, Fonts, and Applications you don't need... then it may skip #2 altogether.

  • Terrible service at best in Nepa

    Not sure what to do i moved to Hallstead Pa 10 years ago and have had terrible service. I have at least 9 trouble tickets from technical support and the promise to improve service, and to date is still as bad as when I first moved here. I just the spent the better park of 2 hours on the phone looking to be reimbursed for dropped calls as I have done in the past with no luck. Customer service rep. Beverly told me I should go to ATT as they have better service. I think my wife and I will be taking her advice. I retired from Verizon with over 30 years 10 years ago my wife Diane also was an employee with 34 years, My Dad had 47 years and my brother Dave had 36 years. I come from a long line of phone people and it embarrass me to see how far down the totum pole customer service has fallen to what a shame the people who built this company are probably rolling over in their graves.    

    someone asked me if I had checked the trouble tickets on another  post that was removed by Verizon. Yes I actually just got off the phone and verizon's answer is a network extender which will take care of my service in my house but not on the far end of my property or when I drive down the street hence mobile phone. All I was looking for was credit for my dropped calls I know service is terrible. But as a retired employee I never thought I'd see the day when i would be pushed away by Verizon to go to another provider so I think it's time I take the tec and service reps suggestion and disconnect my service.i

    Did you try calling oyur ISP to see if it's something on their end?  I know when I was on dial up years ago I had to change to a different number once in my area as something was wrong with the one I had always used to dial into AOL, maybe that's it.  Mary

  • Terrible service for the past few months, trouble ...

    I'm hoping I may be able to get more help here.
    For the past few months my phone line has been incredibly crackily and faint, my broadband (not with BT) has also been cutting out for long periods of time making it almost impossible to use.
    About 2 months ago an engineer came out and supposedly fixed the fault (I'm not even sure if there was one to fix) only a day later it was back to being crackily and faint.
    I called up numerous times and did online fault checks, and nothing came of it, they said there were no faults!
    During the past few months I noticed that when the weather is bad (wind, rain, wind and rain, frost) my phoneline is terrible and my broadband connection is non existent. I kept note of this and yup, everytime the weather is bad, so is my broadband+phoneline. It's completely fine when it's dry and calm out.
    I contacted BT again (multiple times because the service is terrible) and they said there isn't a fault with my line and that I should call my ISP.
    Today I called again because the phoneline was terrible as is the weather, they called my mobile to do a linecheck on the landline, then 2minutes later they put the phone down on me and never called back. I had waited over 30minutes just to get through..
    It seems like I'm never going to get this fixed as it's almost impossible to deal with BT on the other end of the phone, and I can't do a fault test online because my internet is dead during the times it is bad..
    I also reported that the wire connecting from my house to the telegraph pole is all loose and looks unravled, but they obviously didn't think it was a problem because they wouldn't send anyone out for it.
    What am I to do?

    I called 151 and reported the fault, they found nothing wrong. As it's intermittent they are going to run a 24hr line test and then get back to me (though he said he'd call in the morning to let me know if an engineer needs to come out.. 24hrs?) fingers crossed the weather is absolutely abysmal tonight!
    @HHGTTG If it eventually gets fixed, I'll probably always be waiting to let out a sigh when I see that the weather is bad. Haunted! I hope you're in the clear now.
    @surfer157 Perfect, I just bought my nephew a land telescope for his birthday, now i'm going to scope out the wires if nothing comes of the 24hr line test!
    My wire is all loose and looks like it has come unravled at the telegraph pole compared to the others that look like they are pulled tightly, so I'm pretty confident it's a similar, if not the same problem you had with a corroded wire. Not confident about getting it fixed anytime soon though...

    Hi, I live in {edited for privacy} Hackensack, nj, 07601 for the last two years and have fios connection. am moving to {edited for privacy} edison, nj on 1st October 2014. So I called up verizon to move my service. In the new area only high speed internet and phone was available and fios was not available. So I asked them to change my service accordingly. Now lo and behold when I got the email confirmation the date was changed to 1st September 2014 and my current connection from Hackensack was showing to be disconnected on 30th august 2014. I called up verizon immediately on seeing the email and asked the date to be shifted to 30th sep and 1st oct. They confirmed over phone they changed it. But when 30th august came they disconnected mine FIOs service. I called up verizon and was there for 3 hrs over phone. Finally one lady offered me to reconnect my service at Hackensack and said that they will waive off my activation charge. As if they were doing a favor. Then she told that they will again do a credit check. So I have a current connection, I am a current verizon customer the call center person messed me up and now they are saying they will do a credit check!!!!!!
    I am sick and tired of being kept on hold on a verizon customer service. So don't want to waste my phone mins. I am going to disconnect my edison service of verizon and also going to BBB for the terrible inconvinience caused.

    Your issue has been escalated to a Verizon agent. Before the agent can begin assisting you, they will need to collect further information from you. Please go to your profile page for the forum and look at the top of the middle column where you will find an area titled "My Support Cases". You can reach your profile page by clicking on your name beside your post, or at the top left of this page underneath the title of the board.
    Under "My Support Cases" you will find a link to the private board where you and the agent may exchange information. This should be checked on a frequent basis, as the agent may be waiting for information from you before they can proceed with any actions. To ensure you know when they have responded to you, at the top of your support case there is a drop down menu for support case options. Open that and choose "subscribe". Please keep all correspondence regarding your issue in the private support portal.

  • Terrible service trying to move a phone line - Not...

    Hi,
    I have been with my current BT phone line for 2 years and I was very happy with the service I was receiving. Therefore I decided to move my BT line to the new property I am moving into next month. I have called up BT for house moves, which arranged my move including setting up an appointment with an engineer and said that I will receive a confirmation quickly. In the meantime I have not received any confirmation and I was unable to see any order or appointment details online. This left me feeling unsure whether my order really was placed or not. As you can image I do not want to find myself in a situation where I take a day off work waiting for an assistant who is never going to turn up and waste my time having to do this all over again.
    To gain some clarity, I emailed the customer service team listing all the details of my phone conversation with the assistant who placed the order and all the details about my account and the place I'll be moving. After a couple of days all I got was a generic response which had nothing to do with my original question. I resend my email asking for clarification and got nothing back. It has been 15 days since I spoke to the assitant and has heard nothing from no one so far. Things get more interesting after this:
    Today I tried online chat with an assitant who told me that he can see that my order has been cancelled. When I asked why he said he will call me to explain. When I gave him my number he said "You live in Australia, right?". Which is ridiculous as my account clearly states that I am from the United Kingdom. When I asked him again on the phone why my order has been cancelled he said "Yeah yeah I'll just transfer you to the sales team and they can help you". I was then put on "hold" for 25 minutes waiting for the sales team to pick up my call. When they eventually did the lady who picked up the call said they don't deal with home moves (you can imagine my frustration at this point) and said she will transfer me to home moves which put me on an endless hold.
    This leaves me in a sitaution where I have no idea what to do, even the assistants who are supposed to help me are unable to advice me. I think I am going to have to cancel my BT line and have to go with an alternative provider after the (lack of) quality of service I have experienced. The problem is I don't really know if my order has 'really' been cancelled therefore don't want to have to pay any cancellation fees if my order actually hasn't been cancelled.
    This is incredibly frustrating as I now have to deal with the stress of moving a house as well as the stress of whether my phone order went through or not. 
    I am hoping someone here can advise me on what to do as this is my last resort.

    Thank you for your quick response. I have just spoken to an assistant over the phone who told me that my order has misteriously been cancelled (still no one knows why?). After all of this headache I told her to cancel my BT line on a specific date and I no longer wish to move the line to my new address. She also assured me that I do not need to pay any cancellation fees. However in the confirmation I just got sent, I can see this section:

    30 day rental liability charge - As we say in our terms and conditions, we need 30 days' notice to stop your BT services - so you'll need to pay for them for 30 days from the date you asked us to stop them. For more information about the 30 day notice period, go to bt.com/terms
    My bill normally gets charged on the 30th of each month. I asked my line to be cancelled on 2nd of September. What I assumed (and what the assistant said) was that I am going to be paying until 2nd if September. I am very confused as to why I am being told this in the email?

  • Dropped 3gs into lake for 2 hours.  Found and put in rice for sev. days.  Will come on when connected to power, but not pc.  Goes out after min. or so.  Will it likely work again without service or am I dreaming?

    As mentioned above, I dropped my Iphone 3gs into lake and it took me about two hours to fish it out.  I put it in a jar of rice for over a week.  It will now come on only if I plug it into the electrical oulet.  It will not come on using the usb connection on the pc.  It also cuts out after a short time - usually about a minute or so.  Will this phone likely work correctly again without major service or should I just forget it?  I have aready bought a replacement to use, but I hate to just toss it if it may work again.  Also, is there anything else I can do short of taking it in to the Apple store?  I suspect the cost of service will not be justified.

    You are welcome.  There are always suggestions of things to try, but in the end you just get frustrated and end up taking it in anyway...save yourself the trouble and visit the Apple store genius bar.

    Once again I would like to thank COMCAST for being cheap and money hungry. I use my personal web pages daily. This will create a lot of work and take a lot of time to move thing to another server that I will have to pay for on top of paying for internet service with COMCAST. Way to go.     Yep. I'm extremely angry about this! I have been using the web space for years in order to upload helpful files to other people on Overclock.net such as screenshots, important setup files, important Windows files that someone might have lost, zip files containing a bunch of files that someone desperately needs, etc. etc. etc. That's years of uploading, and so it's years of files! Now that's being stripped away from me. Why? This is 2015, not 1985. It's not hard to provide storage space these days. Good lord. Comcast, are you really hurting for storage space on your servers? You have stolen our money for years, so the least you can do is let us keep our web spaces. I have created 7 different accounts on my Comcast account so that I could have 7 GB of storage space, which I have used quite well over the years. So now I have to sit here downloading ALL OF MY FREAKIN' FILES, and then I have to take them to some other location! Then, I have to go and update hundreds of links on Overclock.net and hundreds of screenshots in hundreds of posts that act as ARTICLES - not just posts. If I don't do that, then I'll have people asking me every single day why my links are broken and why my screenshots aren't showing up. Comcast, you sure know how DISSATISFY your customers I hate you now. I genuinely do. You have ruined my day, Comcast. I was actually having a good day for once, until you sent out the e-mail telling all of us about this.

  • Terrible Service from BT - Can someone please help...

    To make a long story short I have bullet pointed my current experience with BT;
    Hi purchased BT Infinity their top package at the time (Unlimited BT Infinity 2) on the 11/11/12 Order number #(REMOVED)
    BT Engineer came and installed BT Infinity on the 12th December line – I went onto the BT Sainburys Voucher Redeem page and filled out all the information to claim my vouchers.
    We then fitted our BT phone – this is where it starts
    When someone calls we get a connection loss of normally 30 seconds before internet is restored
    When we end a call we get a disconnect of 5-6 minutes before connection is restored
    Yes the phone is connected to the “Master” socket that BT fitted when they came to install BT InfinityI then called their “technical” team whom read from their script off the screen for a full hour then performed some tests for 24 hours and called me back the next day to tell me to tell me what I already know that I am getting disconnections and arrange to send out an engineer.
    Great I thought this will be all be resolved, Engineer booked to come and investigate (I forget the date think it may have been towards the end of December I think its Ref REMOVED) my girlfriend took the day off work due as their was no weekend slot available she stayed in all day awaiting the engineer called BT three times whom say they would “deffinetly” be attending yet not one phone call or text from BT no engineer came.
    I phoned BT to see what had happened no explanation, a days wage lost due to BT
    I then booked the engineer to come out the 22nd January (Order No# REMOVED) this time the engineer came on time tested my line went to the cabinet and confirmed that there is a fault on the outside line and it would have to be replaced; the BT engineer said I will receive an update to what is happening next.
    Since then I have heard nothing from BT no phone calls, no emails no texts nothing!
    So I’m stranded with a slow Internet, a phone makes a “hissing noise” when in use which the engineer said was due to the faulty line, and whenever anyone makes / receives a call I get instantly disconnected.
    To top things off the Sainsburys voucher never arrived, I called BT whom submitted a request to get chased up a week later I received the voucher excellent!!! (25/01/14)
    My other half  went today to get some groceries for the week with the voucher only to be told by the till lady that the card is EMPTY! Nothing on it at all!
    I call BTs complaints contact number to wait 45 minutes before finally giving up.
    So here I am almost 2 months down the line paying BT full price for a service im not receiving.
    Can someone from a UK call centre that knows what they are doing please help me before I have a nervous breakdown, I cannot face speaking to someone who will “log my call” read from a script then never to return with an answer to what is going on?
    I have submitted this via the online “complaints” feature on the BT website over 2 weeks ago but never heard anything back.

  • Terrible service in my neighborhood... what can be done?

    For whatever reason, my entire neighborhood is in a dead zone... almost anywhere you walk outside only gets ~2 bars.  I contacted Verizon to see if something could be done... and the representative said they would send someone out to confirm the issue, but then i never heard back.
    Anyone know what I can do to get Verizon to do something about this?  Or do I just need to find a better provider?

    Call tech support, they're the ones that would send a rep to check coverage. If the entire area is having issues or if it's lenient toward one spot of the neighborhood, they'll push a ticket. Otherwise they may recommend a network extender which essentially mimics your outdoor coverage and brings it inside, which will likely not be of much help to you :/
    See that they put a ticket in for you and get the reference number, just in case. That way you'll always have a sure way to track it (through them), even if it somehow gets closed.

  • Can Anyone Beat This for Terrible Service

    Verizon should be ashamed of itself.  I started with them in Feb. 2011.  I bought a Droid x, which began to reboot.  They replaced it with a 'refurbished' model.  That rebooted.  They replaced with this yet *another* Droid X, which not only rebooted but the screen went black during a call and couldn't be accessed.  I had to do a battery pull.
    A nice supervisor upgraded me for free to a X2.  The first time I used the camcorder, it froze the phone.  New supervisor offered me a free Incredible 2, but I didn't want that.  He said he'd already ordered it for me but when it came, I was to retun it and let customer service know and they'd switch it with a new X2.    When the time came to return it, customer service said that the supervisor was on vacation, no one could contact him and he left no instructions to replace my X2 with a new one.  A *month* later, with *no one* able to get in touch with this supervisor, another supervisor tells me the only way to get a new X2 was to extend my contract 6 months and I'd get a gift card to pay for the new X2.  Time came to use the gift card and there was still $109 left the card didn't cover.  Took a lot of work to get that resolved.  
    Three weeks go by and the phone is perfect......until 2.3.4 is upgraded and guess what? Yep. The camcorder freezes.  Verizon is totally useless and wants me to go back to refurbished models (what did I extend my contract for???) and switches me over to Motorola - in the Philippines, who can't help me.  When I finally talk to someone at Motorola, they want me to send them my phone for 2 weeks with no loaner so they can reload the OS.
    And Verizon?  The rep I spoke to said that Verizon is very well aware that these phones are buggy and the repairs and returns are "making them look so bad that they have a policy change coming so that all returns are to be sent to Motorola instead of them."
    I want out of my Verizon contract. I bought my phone and service in good faith and I've not have one phone longer than a month because of all the problems with a phone they *know* and *admit* is buggy.  I'm filing complaints with the FCC, the FTC, Verizon, Motorola, the California Attorney General's office, and the BBB.  No company should sell devices they know are faulty and yet Verizon is.  The rep admitted it.  And from all the other people I see on this forum talking about how they've returned their phones numerous times, I am far from the only one.
    Shame on you, Verizon!  You should do the honest thing and let me out of my contract so I can sign with a company who doesn't sell faulty devices.

    This is what I wrote:
    Over 9 months and 20 openreach appointments and my broadband is still not fixed.   They have tried the "put up with it or we will just say your line is too long and we will stop all broadband service" about 3 times now, but when I point-out my next door neighbour is with TalkTalk, and their BB is fine, and also point out I've had much faster BB for years, they back down.
    My speed has gone from 2Mbps to 384Kbps, and every time the phone rings the broadband disconnects.
    I am an IT engineer that works from home and about 5 times a day I have to tell my customers that my BB has dropped out and then I explain that I've been waiting 9 months for BT to fix it.
    Also I used to set up my customers on BT Broadband but obviously I haven't been doing that for the last 9 months. 
    I'm sure that the fault is in the old aluminium cable that Openreach don't want to touch (in fact that is what the last engineer told me) .
    When you add up the cost of all these engineers calls, and the loss of business from the bad name you are getting, it would have been far cheaper to replace the cable.

  • Is there a way to contact apple about terrible service at one of their stores?

    I recently spent 3 different days and over 4 hours at an apple store in order to swap a defective product.  I was hoping to contact apple in some form to complain about how awful the customer service was at that particular store.  I have a lot of apple products and enjoy the often spectacular customer service.  However, I want to voice my displeasure about this particular store.  I was wondering how I would be able to contact apple about the store. 

    If you call AppleCare, they can log a complaint about any aspect of Apple's Business in the system for review by senior management. If you log a complaint about service provided at an Apple Retail Store, it will be reviewed by AppleCare Senior Management and forwarded to the appropriate area or regional manager for review... or so I have been told!

  • Terrible service, terrible prices

    I’ve had issues over the past couple of months during primetime with my TV service being choppy and lagging. It’s unwatchable and I’ve missed quite a few sporting events and shows because of this. This also messes with my DVR so those shows are unwatchable.
    I come home last night to no TV or internet. It takes Support 15 minutes to determine it’s a bad modem. I have to spend 2 hours on the phone waiting for your support team to get an order through your system! Support tells me that your backend systems are down and she can’t get orders to go through, but I HAVE TO STAY ON THE LINE. Every 2 minutes she comes back to say she’s still there.
    I didn’t want to be on the phone. I shouldn’t have to be on the phone. I’m then told that she has to keep me on the phone because that’s how her work is tracked and if I’m not there she has to cancel my order and go to another customer. That’s messed up, you’re using your me to track your employees time while wasting 2 hours of my night and 120 minutes of my phone plan.
    Then she tells me that my modem SHOULD be here today (we’ll see if it happens), BUT I CAN’T USE IT UNTIL TOMORROW, WHAT?!? Are you guys stupid? Why should I have to go through another day without service? When I had this issue with Time Warner the modem was there the next morning and I was able to plug it in and go. Unacceptable. I work from home a few days a week and I’m required to log into work and I can’t do that without a working modem.
    On top of all of this, my bill has been astronomical over the last year+. I’ve tried getting a better deal through your online chat (so I can multi-task and not have to sit through your ridiculous call wait times). Neither time were your reps able to help me other than $5-$10. I called in today to get my rate lowered and it was PATHETIC. You could lower my $182 bill to $157 for 3 months. That’s sad when Time Warner is offering me $90 for TV and Internet for 2 years.
    You are going to start sending me material to come back to you guys for a great price in the $90-$110 range, just like I asked for today. I will probably leave Time Warner in a couple of years when their rates jump back up.
