AirSAMStateMachine.c 3722 1509
I am getting the following synch error on my 755P: AirSAMStateMachine.c 3722 1509
It is referring to the error when it tries to synch my contacts.
Can anyone help me solve this problem?

Palm has a support article on this one. Looks a little arduous, but see what you think:

Hello...can someone help me? I have had a Treo 755 for a long time and have always been able to active sync my contacts, calendar, and email over the air with my exchange server. However, just recently I have been getting an error. My phone will sync my email and calendar, but whenever it tries to sync my contacts, I get the following error..."AirSAMStateMachine.c 3720 1509 Server returned error for last command. Status:5". Does anyone know what this means or how to fix it? I contacted Sprint Cust. Care and they don't know.
Post relates to: Treo 755p (Sprint)I've been having the exact same problem. I talked to my IT guys but they only support Windows Based Phones, not Palm OS phones. They did let me know that they recently upgraded from Echange Server 2003 to Exchange 2007. It was right about then that my phone wouldn't sync anymore. I followed the link that was posted and it let me know that yes there is an error with our server, but doens't tell me any more than that. I have the latest update of Versa Mail 3.5.4, and the latest Sprint update, 1.10, so as far as I can tell its an issue with Versa Mail being able to talk to Exchaneg 2007. If anyone has a patch or something I can give or show to my IT guys to fix this, that would be great. Thanks.

In my deployment I have 2 brokers, and 3 session hosts. I finally installed Update 1 and all following updates available (the ones that were available about two weeks before). Also updated Forefront to v4.3 (SCCM managed).
I have roaming TS profiles enabled with folder redirection and also policy set to "delete local copy of roaming profiles" after logout. Profile folders are on a network share (Server 2003). Things were working ok until Update 1 and rest of updates
got installed.
I started getting events 1509 and 1504 when users logoff and the screen displays "Your roaming profile was not completely synchronized" message briefly. The only file affected so far is ntuser.pol.
There are two variations of the event, one claiming it cannot write the local server copy to fileshare, and the opposite, from file share to c:\users\username.
====
Windows cannot copy file \\server\profileshare\username.V2\ntuser.pol to location C:\Users\username\ntuser.pol. This error may be caused by network problems or insufficient security rights.
DETAIL - Access is denied.
=====
Windows cannot copy file C:\Users\username\ntuser.pol to location \\server\profileshare\username.V2\ntuser.pol. This error may be caused by network problems or insufficient security rights.
DETAIL - Cannot create a file when that file already exists.
==========
Permissions have not changed. The only thing changing is the Updates installed on the servers. I tried running with AV realtime protection off, no change. Ntuser.pol is already on the exclude list in Forefront.
This is happening on my test server and 2 prd servers. Any ideas. I looked for related hotfixes but not coming up with anything.
The whole reason for installing Update 1 was so that we can continue to receive security updates...Hi,
Thanks for your comment.
When a roaming profile user logs off, the NTuser.dat file is always updated on the roaming profile share. The corresponding NTuser.pol file is only updated if the timestamp of the local copy that was created at logon is newer than the copy found in the roaming
profile share. A synchronization problem may occur if a user with a roaming profile logs on to multiple client computers at the same time. This can eventually cause policy settings to be applied incorrectly.
For example, if the Group Policy loopback feature is applied on one of the client computers, the NTuser.dat file on the roaming profile share may contain loopback policy settings that are not present in the NTuser.pol file. If this problem occurs, the loopback
policy settings that are targeted at one client computer may be unexpectedly applied to a user who logs on to a different client computer.
So please check the permission or group policy which you have applied and also whether you are performing multiple connection at a time.

Hope it helps!

Hi All,
I am getting below errors in my ulog:
GWTDOMAIN.27232.1.0: LIBGWT_CAT:1073: ERROR: Unable to obtain remote domain id (EI_WTC_03_TST) information from shared memory
GWTDOMAIN.27232.1.0: LIBGWT_CAT:1509: ERROR: Error occurred during security negotiation - closing connection
I am wondering why?
I am using this dmconfig,
while executing dmloadcf -y dmconfig.new
The current dmconfig file is:
# TUXEDO DOMAIN CONFIGURATION FILE

*DM_TDOMAIN
QFISWTC01_TST NWADDR="//abc:61601"
EI_WTC_NGL_TEST NWADDR="//ei-t-alsb-adm.xyz.com.in:41895"
in dmadmin,
I can see :
pd -d QFISWTC01_TST
Local domain :QFISWTC01_TST
Connected domains:
Domainid: EI_WTC_NGL_TEST
and in ulog:
GWTDOMAIN.25741.1.0: LIBGWT_CAT:1129: INFO: Connection established with domain (domainid=<EI_WTC_NGL_TEST>)
There is no retries for this domain.
However I am wondering why this :
GWTDOMAIN.27232.1.0: LIBGWT_CAT:1073: ERROR: Unable to obtain remote domain id (EI_WTC_03_TST) information from shared memory
GWTDOMAIN.27232.1.0: LIBGWT_CAT:1509: ERROR: Error occurred during security negotiation - closing connection
is happening.
However,my old dmconfig file(dmconfig.old) is :
*DM_LOCAL_DOMAINS
QFISWTC01_TST GWGRP=TDOM
TYPE=TDOMAIN
DOMAINID=QFISWTC01_TST
CONNECTION_POLICY=ON_STARTUP

*DM_REMOTE_DOMAINS

*DM_TDOMAIN
QFISWTC01_TST NWADDR="//abc:61601"
EI_WTC_03_TST NWADDR="//ei-t-alsb-adm.xyz.com.in:41895"
but I am not using it.
Could you please suggest why it is happening?
Why I am receiving these errors when I am no longer using this old dmconfig file?
I have tried doing bbclean,ipcrm
but no fruitful result I got.

Yesterday also this was same.

Sync problem-message AirSAMStateMachine.c 2214
When I attempt to sync my phone with Microsoft Outlook 2003 sp2, Windows XP, Exchange Server 2003, version 6.5, it connects and the word "Receiving" appears for two seconds. The following message appears "There was a problem with syncing. There was a problem syncing messages."
Then I select the Detail button and the following message appears "AirSAMStateMachine.c2214 6 Http/1.1 500 Internal Server Error Date: Thu, 05 Mar 2009 22:50:26 GMT Server: Microsoft-IIS/6.0X-Powered"
Any thoughts? Help please?
Post relates to: Treo 755p (Sprint)Since the error includes the following: Internal Server Error - then I would contact the IT administrator. Mostly if you were able to sync before and this just randomly appears then I would give it some time. I would suggest contacting your IT admin anyways to check if anything needs to be done on the treo.

AirSAMStateMachine.c 1583 1223
For the past 2 days, when I've attempted to Sync my email inbox, I have received the following errors in various pairs:
The first error window showed: "There was a problem syncing messages. There was a problem synchronizing with the server. Please select the Sync button to try again." and clicking the details button showed: "AirSAMStateMachine.c 3873 4 Sync Key invalid, cmd: 4, status: 4"
OR
The first error windows showed: "There was a problem syncing messages. The sync could not complete. Possibly out of memory. Please delete some messages and try again." and clicking the details button showed: "AirSAMStateMachine.c 1583 1223 The sync could not complete. Possibly out of memory. Please delete some messages and try again."
I found the cause of the problem to be one message in my Outlook/Exchange inbox. Based on the Outlook message icon and the source of the message, I believe the message was digitally signed. VersaMail/ExchangeActiveSync apparently can't handle this type of message. When I was finally able to isolate the message and move it out of my inbox, I was able to synchronize again just fine.
Post relates to: Treo 680 (Cingular)You're a genius! Thank you I had been trying everything and no luck. This post really helped. I deleted those emails with digital signatures and bam the sync worked perfectly. This is why the internet post are wonderful things. Again Thanks.

700p + Activesync + AirSAMStateMachine.c 1913 3
Been trying for weeks. No luck. Have a 700p (Sprint), trying to sync wirelessly over the air with Microsoft Exchange Activesync Server 2003. Has never worked. Sprint and Palm advanced technical support unable to help ... Using Versamail and EAS update download ... My IT folks say my settings on the phone are correct -- and the server indeed works (all the 700w phones on our network are able to sync flawlessly, but the 700p has never worked).
After every attempt I get following error message on the phone:
AirSAMStateMachine.c 1913 3
Any clues, tips, suggestions, hints, truly appreciated.

I'm getting the same error and need help. Things use to work perfectly where it would sync automatically and would sync on demand. I reset my treo to factory defaults and first setup my email and it gave the same error. Except the error code was different. It's AirSAMStateMachine.c 530 3
Any suggestions? -

AirSAMStateMachine.c 1913 103
Hi,
I'm using Treo 680 in China, and try to Activesync with my company's email in Sweden, which is using outlook 2007 email server.
but I keep getting the same error message: AirSAMStateMachine.c 1913 103
There was a problem with syncing. Can't connect to server. Please check your network or server settings and try again.
I even try to use some of the changes from this forum like put the email as:
Domain name\Username
However it still doesn't work.
Our server need to use proxy server, so the set up is much more complicate.
Have anyone encountered the same problem before?
Post relates to: Treo 680 (Unlocked GSM)The answer to this in not pretty but, in a nutshell, your Exchange administrator is going to have to update the certificates on the mail server.

I have an airSAM-error that I have not yet seen posted.

My Treo 700P no longer syncs unassisted. I'd greatly appreciate help/advice.
Thanks
Post relates to: Treo 700p (Sprint)This error message nearly always happens with a corrupt offline calendar event. The fix for this is:
In Outlook, click on Calendar to view the calendar.
Open the File menu.
From File, select Folder, then Properties for "Calendar".
Under the General tab, click the button for Clear Offline Folders.
Your Calendar items may disappear. If this happens, you can restore them from the Exchange server later. For now, don't restore it.
Perform a HotSync operation.
Open the HotSync log and look for the OLERR message. If it's not there, you have resolved the issue.
Whether or not OLERR returns, you can now restore your Calendar data from the Exchange server:
In Outlook, open the Tools menu.
From the Tools menu, select Send/Receive, then Send/Receive All.
Your Outlook client will contact the Exchange server and display your Calendar information from the server. -

AirSAMStateMachine.c 3301 1507 Contact Sync Error
I have a Plam 755p using the exchange server sync but my contacts no longer sync. In fact, all my contacts are gone from my palm. When I attempt to sync I get the AirsSAMS error 3301. Any advice on how to fix this? I have searched the forum but didn't find an answer.
Post relates to: Treo 755p (Sprint)Hi.. Welcome to the Palm forums. For a break down of wht the AirSamState errors go to kb.palm.com and enter article id: 41831. The break down for your particular error the code to pay attention to is the 1507 which is an error reported by the server indicating, Sync interface: Unable to open database. Meaning the on the exchange server your contact database will not open and thus will not sync to your 755p. You will need to pass this info on to your IT department as the problem is on the server.

This question was solved.
View Solution.how many palm phones or devices are using this server? if the details said that it's something with the server settings, i can't think of any other setting that may have cause this error. by the way, does the details shows status with a number? if it does, what number was it? the range is from 1-11.
by the way, you can also check the OMA (Outlook Mobile Access) if your user account has data service, certificate and login credentials. if you can log in to OMA on the device's web browser using your username and password which is the same as the one being inputted in the versamail. then that's should work. also check the port numbers and if server is using authentication to login.
