Anyone have examples of using Spry Datasets for updating data?

I'm working on a webpage that displays timesheet information.
I want the user to be able to click on the row of data in the
timesheetthey want to edit and open a hidden form at the bottom of
the screen that will be populated with the data. Then the user can
edit the data in the form, hit submit, and the updates display back
in the row in the timesheet. I can't find an example of how to do
this.

Hi Sergey,
My experience is of using Web Dynpro to work with work items from an already-started workflow, and I have used the following SAP_WAPI calls:
SAP_WAPI_GET_HEADER - to get high level information about a work item
SAP_WAPI_GET_WORKITEM_DETAIL - to get information about a work item
SAP_WAPI_READ_CONTAINER - to get information from a work item's container
SAP_WAPI_DECISION_READ - to get the available decision options for a decision-type work item
SAP_WAPI_CREATE_EVENT - to create a work item event with attached container values
SAP_WAPI_GET_OBJECTS - to get information about the BOR objects associated with a work item
SAP_WAPI_WORKITEM_COMPLETE - to complete a work item and update container values at the same time
SAP_WAPI_SUBSTITUTES_GET - get a list of the specified user's substitutes
SAP_WAPI_WRITE_CONTAINER, SAP_WAPI_SET_WORKITEM_COMPLETD and SAP_WAPI_WORKITEM_CONFIRM are called by the UWL Updating Container action handler.
In general if you browse function group SWRC you can see all the SAP_WAPI function modules and see what they do.
Best regards,
Darren

  • I have a production mobile Flex app that uses RemoteObject calls for all data access, and it's working well, except for a new remote call I just added that only fails when running with a release build.  The same call works fine when running on the device

I have a production mobile Flex app that uses RemoteObject calls for all data access, and it's working well, except for a new remote call I just added that only fails when running with a release build. The same call works fine when running on the device (iPhone) using debug build. When running with a release build, the result handler is never called (nor is the fault handler called). Viewing the BlazeDS logs in debug mode, the call is received and send back with data. I've narrowed it down to what seems to be a data size issue.
I have targeted one specific data call that returns in the String value a string length of 44kb, which fails in the release build (result or fault handler never called), but the result handler is called as expected in debug build. When I do not populate the String value (in server side Java code) on the object (just set it empty string), the result handler is then called, and the object is returned (release build).
The custom object being returned in the call is a very a simple object, with getters/setters for simple types boolean, int, String, and one org.23c.dom.Document type. This same object type is used on other other RemoteObject calls (different data) and works fine (release and debug builds). I originally was returning as a Document, but, just to make sure this wasn't the problem, changed the value to be returned to a String, just to rule out XML/Dom issues in serialization.
I don't understand 1) why the release build vs. debug build behavior is different for a RemoteObject call, 2) why the calls work in debug build when sending over a somewhat large (but, not unreasonable) amount of data in a String object, but not in release build.
I have't tried to find out exactly where the failure point in size is, but, not sure that's even relevant, since 44kb isn't an unreasonable size to expect.
By turning on the Debug mode in BlazeDS, I can see the object and it's attributes being serialized and everything looks good there. The calls are received and processed appropriately in BlazeDS for both debug and release build testing.
Anyone have an idea on other things to try to debug/resolve this?
Platform testing is BlazeDS 4, Flashbuilder 4.7, Websphere 8 server, iPhone (iOS 7.1.2). Tried using multiple Flex SDK's 4.12 to the latest 4.13, with no change in behavior.
    Thanks!

After a week's worth of debugging, I found the issue.
The Java type returned from the call was defined as ArrayList.  Changing it to List resolved the problem.
I'm not sure why ArrayList isn't a valid return type, I've been looking at the Adobe docs, and still can't see why this isn't valid.  And, why it works in Debug mode and not in Release build is even stranger.  Maybe someone can shed some light on the logic here to me.

  • Jquery widget equivalent to spry dataset for dreamweaver CC 2014.1?

I built a website a while back with either CS4 or CS5. I used spry datasets to pull menu items into the tables on the website. I did some research and found that spry widgets were pulled from the CC suites for some reason and replaced with jquery widgets. I'm not 100% sure why adobe did this, but what jquery widget equivalent is there for the spry datasets in dreamweaver cc 2014.1?
    Thanks for your help everyone!

  • JobOwner doesn't have permissions to use proxy 1 for subsystem CmdExec

    Hi All,
I got a strange issue on my SQL Jobs which run with Proxy. Some of the times, the SQL jobs run under job owner, instead of proxy account. Furthermore, it causes the SQL jobs failed.
"JobOwner doesn't have permissions to use proxy 1 for subsystem CmdExec"
Kindly need an assistance on this issue.
Note*: I have another solution by changing the job owner of the SQL jobs to user account of SQL Agent service. But in this case I want to keep current the job owner.
    Thanks,
    HR

can you confirm if you did the same as explained in the last part of the blog?
    http://blogs.msdn.com/b/dataaccesstechnologies/archive/2009/10/14/who-owns-my-job-and-who-runs-it.aspx
Also could you confirm if your proxy account has access to the subsystem and if not check this link to update it.
    http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms186760.aspx
select ss.subsystem as 'subsystem name', sp.name as 'proxy name' from
msdb.dbo.syssubsystems ss inner join msdb.dbo.sysproxysubsystem sps
    on ss.subsystem_id = sps.subsystem_id
    Inner join msdb.dbo.sysproxies sp
    on sps.proxy_id = sp.proxy_id
You could run this to see if the proxy has access to subsystem.

  • Heads up: I have started to use CR 7 for RAW video

Just a heads up. Interesting times over at Magic Lantern, where they've cracked the Canon DSLR's to deliver RAW video. The resulting .RAW file is converted to a DNG sequence of custom dimensions. The way I develop these is just like I do my photos: I use Bridge to browse, open up a representative frame in CR, do my settings, and sync up the rest in Bridge. Then I use Image Processor to output a JPG sequence for final rendering in Premiere (I use premiere 5, but Photoshop CS6, that is why I dont import the DNG sequence directly in, say after effects or Premiere).
Anyway, lots of people have suddenly started using Camera RAW for grading RAW video over the past week or so.
Just wanted to let you know. Its pretty big news. Here's my first tests: https://vimeo.com/66414746

It's much better to use After Effects to grade Canon RAW/DNG footage, as you can maintain a 100% nondestructive workflow.
You can import a DNG frame sequence into After Effects (and it will display the ACR interface automatically, as if you were opening a single image in Photoshop). Whatever you 'develop' in ACR is applied identically to every frame, so yes there are problems if you do something like add grain as it'll produce a static pattern. That doesn't matter for stills, so nobody in the ACR team bothered to add a random seed to the grain function. Maybe if this workflow catches on we'll see it added to future versions, but right now you should add grain later with AE's effects.
The DNG 'footage' always imports in 32-bit space even though the data from Canon's sensor isn't that deep. If you put it onto a 16-bit comp in AE you can adjust tone/exposure with the same effectiveness as the sliders in ACR, and the non-32 effects such as Add Grain will be happier. There's no real point working in 32-bit comps for these files unless you're doing something extreme. Replicating the shadow/highlight/clarity sliders with curves requires some skill, but you can get some amazing one-click effects on these DNG sequences from plugins such as MB Looks.
Personally I would make the overall pre-grade in ACR (white balance, approximate exposure, lens correction) but I'd do everything else (denoise/curves/grade/grain) in AE once the footage is on the timeline (I'd apply a little bit of MB Denoiser II, then Colorista or Looks, then AE's Add Grain or MB MisFire). Note that you need to set the lens correction manually, as the DNGs from Raw2dng don't include the EXIF tags.
One thing I've been asked is how to get the ACR dialog open again once the footage is imported to AE. You do that by right-clicking the footage in the project bin and choosing Interpret Footage > Main (Ctrl+Alt+G). On the dialog that appears, press the More Options button on the bottom left.
btw - Premiere Pro CS6 does not import DNGs. A previous version did, but Adobe reduced their activities on the emerging CinemaDNG standard and removed the plugin.

  • Why can't I set up POP/IMAP emails for my Muse website in Business Catalyst? I don't have the option 'use this service for email as well as hosting the website' under Advanced options

Why can't I set up POP/IMAP emails for my Muse website in Business Catalyst? I don't have the option 'use this service for email as well as hosting the website' under Advanced options.
Is this due to my Hosting Plan? Appreciate any answers.

Your site is a CCM site which is on a WebBasics plan (This plan does not provide hosted emails on Business Catalyst).
If you want to create email addresses on this site, you would need to setup your email server elsewhere and configure the MX records on your site to point to that external mail server.
If you want to use Business Catalyst's hosted email services you would need to use a WebBasics+ or higher siteplan. To upgrade your CCM free site, Access your site's admin area  -> Site Management -> Upgrade Now -> choose the desired site plan and billing frequency -> Add personal and credit card details -> Submit.
Please refer this article about setting up email accounts on your BC site: http://docs.businesscatalyst.com/user-manual#!/site-settings/email-users
For setting up records to point to external mail server, check out http://docs.businesscatalyst.com/user-manual#!/site-settings/email-users/creating-inboxes- for-your-users

  • Did someone have experience to use downloaded driver for SR 245?

Did someone have experience to use downloaded driver for SR 245 to take data? I used GPIB-USB-HS cable (from NI) to collect data, and corrected GPIB address in the driver, which is found by M&A Explorer. When I ran this program driver, I saw ERROR light flashing one time and Activity light flashing for another time, but I got nothing for data. I used BNC cable to connect input signal in INPORT 1 in the front panel of SR 245, so there should have signal input.  Do I need to change something in the program?
    Thanks
    Linghui

    Hi Linghui,
The EABO error usually indicates a timeout.  This could be caused by a
few different things such as sending an
incorrect command or not appending the correct termination
character.  I would check the manual for your device and see if it requires a certain type of termination character, as well as what commands it accepts.  You can also find troubleshooting techniques for this error here and here.
    Hope this helps!

Here he is trying to use the existing formula variable.
My doubt here is, Even i could not find this varaible in BEX formula variable, But could see this in BI Content path as mentioned in the above link.  DO i have to transport this varaible , or i simply can activate it in production?

  • Error in creating RSDS using transfer rules for master data datasources

    Hi ,
when i am creating the transfermations(RSDS) using transfer rules for master data datasources while i want to migrate datasource.it is giving the error message saying that INITIAL ERROR OCCURED DURING GENERATION OF THE TRANSFERMATION.AND in the taskbar it is giving the message LOG IS BEING LOADED.
MY QUESTION IS HOW CAN WE SEE THE LOG? AND
PLEASE GIVE ME THE STEPS TO MIGRATE MASTER DATASOURCES.
    THANKS IN ADVANCE .

    Hi Ankit,
Yoy have to load data to the cube. For that you need update rules.
Steps to load data to the cube
    1.Replicate the datasource.
    2.Assign Infosource
    3.Create transfer rules
4.Maintain the update rules to the cube.
5.Right click on the datasource and schedule an infopackage for it.
Execute the Infopackage and pull the data to the cube.

  • Problem while using BCP utility for witing data in file

    hi all,
I have a batch file in which I am using bcp command for reading data from MS SQL and writing it in delimiter file. Now there are some exceptions in MS SQL that while writing into file whenever it encounters new line character it switches to next line while writing and starts writing the rest of the data on next.
Could you help me in getting rid of this problem. I wanted to replace the new line character with space.
    Thanks and regards
    Nitin

    Hi Dilip,
Before going for any other table,
As Kalnr is only one of the primary keys of table KEKO, You can try creating secondary index on KEKO, which might help in improving your report performance.
Also, you can add more conditions in where clause if possible, which will also help in improving performance.

After doing the changes, when I am trying to save, its throwing error as 'Concatenated values used in documents for master data'.
Can anyone please help me with what exactly does it mean and what would be the solution to remove this error.

    Hi All,
Just found the soultion...wanted to share this....
Actually one document was created on one of my opportunity values, which was not simply visible from edit menu -> documents.
Go to RSA1 -> documents -> master data -> and then give ur info object name -> will get all the documents maintained corresponding to it. Need to delete them.
Then compounding characteristic can be added to our info object.
