Appearance of result row in query

Hi guys,
I have the following query example (part of it):
row1 100.000 credit amount
row2 100.000 credit amount
row3 100.000 credit amount
result 300.000
I only want to be displayed:
row1 ...
row2 ...
row3 ...
result 100.000
I know how the rows (1-3) can be handled that they appear empty but don´t know how to handle that the result appears in 100.000.
I thought about exception aggregation but the key figure Im using in this case is not calculated (only uploaded). And as far as I know the expection aggregation only works for calculated key figures.
Any idea?

Hi, There are 2 ways, 1st you can define 'Constant' selection else if there are some issues due to CKFs' restrictions 2nd method is to perform a simple average you can try using a simple 'Formula' like SUM(X) / # of records. Ex. (100100100)/3 = 100. Try using the option which retains the value constant, else you can also define the 'No Display' in o/ps like 'Display Results As..' in the last tab of BEx titled 'Calculations''. You can get the # of records by using 0ROWCOUNT in case of DSO or using Data Functions like COUNT(X).

  • Conditions for results row in query

    Hi,
I've query with conditions. Let us say without conditions query result has 10 records. But After applying conditions result has 4 records.
When you check the result row the subtotals and totals are coming wrong. Result rows are considering the 10 records.
How can I get the result row has to consider only those 4 records after conditions.

    Hi,
I have the same problem. And I didn't find any solution.

    Hi,
Could you please provide some more information.
if you have characteristics iobject whose values are (A, B etc) and calendar month in rows and then at column level you have key figures then if you have turn on the "Display Result Rows" property of both iobject in Bex  as "Always" you can get the result. At the same time you can set "Display Overall result" property of the Query to get overall result.

  • Missing Result Rows on Query with Conditions

I have a query that has a condition to show only items over $2500.00.   We have a result row that shows for plant when the condtions is not on but once the condition is set that result row goes away.  Does anyone know how to get a result row to show up on reports with conditions?  Thank you.
    Caroline

    Hi Caroline,
In BI 7.0, you goto do this in Query Designer.
Select any of your characteristic in the designer and choose Display Properties to always display result.
    Then run the query.
    Assign Points if Helps !!

  • Programmatically get result rows from query component?

I am using a af:query for searching values without the table. When i search, is there any way in which i can get the search results Programmatically?
    Thanks

Intercept the query invokation using your own queryListener method, and then get the Iterator from the VO. http://jobinesh.blogspot.com/2011/03/retrieving-viewcriteria-from-custom.html

  • Simbol X in the row of results in a query

    Hi group,
I have a small question about results in a query. When I open the query, in some rows for results appears the simbol X. If I click right button=> calculate=> sumation, the figure appears right. The problem is I have to do it manually for every row of results everytime I run the query.
Does anyone know how to do it automatically to get the results instead of the X every time that the query is run??
    Thank in advance,
    David

I have tried it, but still not working....there is not units in the amounts that are to be summed...In facts, it works when i set the calculation of results as summation.
The only problem is that any time that i run the query, again the calculation of results appears as "nothing defined", so i have to change it everytime...
There is any option to set the calculation of results ALWAYS as summation??????
    Thanks for your answers!!!!

  • How to suppress Result rows in a Query in Web Application Designer

    Hi
I am trying to post a query in Web Application Designer. I am able to run the query in WAD but the Results rows appear. I choose Suppress Result Rows always in All Characteristics option in the query in BEx Explorer but still i see result rows in the WAD. Can anyone please let me know how to suppress Result rows so that they dont appear in Web Application Designer.
    Thanks,
    Padma

    To get the enhanced menu-
    1. Open the template in WAD.
    2. Go to Web Item properties.
    3. Go to Entries in Context Menu.
    4. Find the "Enhanced Menu" property. Set it to "display" if you want it to be visible in template result.
    5. Next time when you execute your template you will be able to access it by right clicking.
    or
If you just want to supress results without adding enhanced menu in the context menu, simply set "Calculate result as" to "No Display".

  • Result Rows in a Query

    Hi
I have sales org, channel, customer and material along with the key figures in the rows
of the query. I am automatically getting result for each level by default and then the
overall result. Is there a way in which i can change all the result rows with
the corresponding text they belong to like the material result, customer result etc.
    Thanks
    Rashmi.

    Hi
Not Sure, But try replacement path Variable (with Material Result...etc) and the ckf/Formula(total all the Material, channel...etc) for the same to appear the totals Row .

  • Result row not appearing for leftmost characteristics

    Hello Experts,
I am facing one issue I have two characteristics in rows A with display attributes b,c,d and F with diplay attributes e,f,g and key figures in columns, I am not able to see result row for Characteristc A but I can see result row for F but when I  change sequence in rows i.e characteristic F then charactrristic A I get result row for A.
Why this is happening please throw some light with available documentation.
    Thanks & Regards
    Deepak Chavan

    Hi Deepak,
You have 2 chars A & F in Rows and lets say a KF Q1 in columns. Now when you go to properties of the Chars A & F and select 'Display Always' for the Result .
As per property of query designer, when you see the result, the 'RESULT' row appears on the 2nd column (F) and 'OVERALL RESULT' is displayed for the 1st Column(F). This is logical because you cannot have the result rows appearing the 1st column!
Let us put an e.g. here... If field A is say CALMONTH with values 01.2010, 02.2010 etc and field F is 'Order Change Date' and KF is 'No of Orders changed'.
In such a scenario, when you have the Output of the query, the result set will have all the 'Change Dates' month wise grouped and the result column showing for each month under 'Order Change Date'.
This conveys the 'No. of Orders Changed' month wise!
    -Hope it helps

  • Result Rows in BEx query

    Hi Gurus,
I am using five fields A, B, C, D and E (in the same order of appearance as columns from left to right of the report) and finally the Amount (based on a condition). I am getting a weird issue while executing a query. In my report, I wanted to have an additional row for "Result" for each of the above mentioned five fields.
There is no suppression of result rows (that is I have selected "never" for "Suppress Result Rows" for all characteristics/ fields).
I checked this several times and ensured that for each of the above mentioned fields, there is no suppression. I am getting "result" rows only for D and E columns (characteristics).
My question is: Apart from getting final result ("overall result" at the bottom of the report) how do I get a result rows for B and C also?
    Thanks for the Help....

    Hi,
Are you running the report from the query or from the workbook? If you have changed the query and are stilll running the same workbook, sometimes these changes do not come through...Close the workbook and try to execute the query again. Does it still happen?

  • Query designer - supress result rows

    Dear Friends,
I do have created a query using query designer. I dont want result rows in my reports both in web template and analyzer. Could anyone help me on defining the same globally?

    Oops

    Hi,
You need to select characteristics against which results are displayed for key figures.
In all charcteristcics properites you may find that.
    I hope it will help.

  • Query with a condition - Overall results row is wrong

    Hello,
I have a query that uses a condition.  The query gives me the top 10 brands according to the Net Sales.  The query itself runs fine.  I just noticed however that the Overall Result row isn't giving me the correct number.
    For example:
    <b>BRAND            NETSALES    MARGIN %</b>
    Brand1           $100        25%
    Brand2           $60         10%
    Brand3           $20         15%
    <b>OVERALL RESULT   $210        2%</b>
As you can see it does not add up or average correctly.  This query has no macros or anything, it only uses a condition.
    Any suggestions?
    Thanks,
    Nick

A workaround I have found is the manual directions in this OSS note: 572910
    Anyone have any follow up?
    Thanks.

  • Query with a condition - Overall results row displays incorrect value

    Hi All,
I have a bw query with top 40 conditions. However, The Overall Result Row Figures Do Not Equal The Sum of the Column Rows.
Although the top condition is activated, the overall result still displays the overall result of the whole report.
I have 3 columns in the report
    Selected Period
    Prior Period and
    Variance
The formula for variance is (Selected Period/Prior Period)-1.
Does anyone have an idea to fix this?
Thank you so much in advance.
    Have a great day!

    Hi Gaurav,
Thank you so much for your reply, however this does not solve fully the issue.
Changing the properties to "Summation" will indeed provide me with the correct sum for the "selected period" and "Prior Period." However what I need in the Overall Result Row for the "Variance" column is not the total but instead the value when the total of Selected Period is divided by Prior Period then minus 1.
Overall Variance = (Overall Selected Period/Overall Prior Period)-1
Do you know a way to make this possible.
    Thank you so much.
