Apple TV is requesting payment verification constantly, even after it has been confirmed multiple times, why will this not stop?

Apple TV has gone off the deep end and is constantly asking me to re-verify my paymetn info...  I do it time and time again and the message never stops.  It pops up alomst anytime I do anything...  When I first got the apple TV I only had to do this occasionally...  Now it asks multiple times a day...  Any idea on how to make this stop???  To the point that I will start using another streaming device soon... 

I have been able to eliminate the Verification Required problem. I believe the thing that made the most improvement happened to be an OS update on the Mac where the home share lives, but it might also be the combination of trying many fixes. The Mac was already running the latest iTunes (10.7), but the my OS (OS X Lion, 10.7) was not patched all the way up to 10.7.5. I am not running Mountain Lion. My Mac is a Mini, 2 GHz Intel Core 2.
I applied the OS patches, after having changed my AppleID password (more complex) and payment method back and forth, and now with all of that done, the Verification Message has gone. I do, still, have the ATV saying it can't connect to the iTunes store frequently, but that message is not as frequent and as annoying as the constant Verification Required message. Note that my ATV showing the error message about "Can't connect to iTunes Store" is on Ethernet and I believe that there is a bug with the ATV update that pertains to Ethernet connectivity which is discussed in the Support Forums on other threads (one I can recall is MLB TV not working, look for MLB, Update, and Ethernet if you want to find that).
Summary of my personal experience to arrive at a fix for Verification Required:
iTunes on host Mac is up to date (10.7)
AppleID password is complex enough (it previously was not)
Payment method was changed away to another method and then re-established, re-confirmed to my Visa
Mac OS Lion was updated to latest patches, 10.7.5
Also, for what it's worth, my Mac is also on Ethernet and my switches are all new Linksys GB switches with the exception of my Linksys WiFi/Router which is only "switching" for WiFi users and connections off of the LAN to the internet.

    I have had the same problem for WEEKS and I cannot access any sites that use Flash. Flash has been installed on this computer since I bought it in 2012. I have allowed auto updates but for weeks the updates never get past Step 2 - is this because I do NOT want the Google Tool bar? I use NO tool bars as there is only 6 inches of vertical screen space. Is this because I uncheck wanting Chrome as a default browser?  It is already installed, I just don't use it.  I came to this site and ran the check is it installed and the system says it is either not installed or not enabled. Version 14 just downloaded about 30 minutes ago - but did not progress to Step 3 although a pop up screen came up with a finish button, which I clicked. WHAT is the problem and how do I fix it?  If this were just a compatibility bug between IE11 and Adobe they have had plenty of time to fix it.

    There is no anti-malware for iOS, at least none that actually does anything useful. The odds of getting any malware infection via an email attachment on an iOS device is quite low - practically non-existent. Unless you are seeing any issues, there isn't much to do, other than deleting the email and being more cautious in the future.

    I have verified a number of times that the computer is authorized.....

    The only people who can possibly assist you with this is Apple Customer Relations, call your local Apple contact number and ask for Customer Relations then explain your situation clearly and politely (be firm but don't rant).
    You might want to investiage what the local laws are regarding defective goods and 'fit for use' definitions on warranties etc. Consumer Protection can be a useful tool to use or bargain with if needed ...

  • Downpayment is not clearing even after invoice has been fully paid

    Good day to everyone,
    I am currently having an issue with a down payment not clearing even though the invoice has been fully paid. to my understanding, once the order is fully invoiced- down payments should be cleared as well, am i correct?
    The order  related billing's status containing the down payment is set to "fully invoiced", yet when i view the document flow containing the down payment, it states "not cleared". What could be the problem? Could i just manually release the down payment? thanks in advance!

    T-Code-F-44 Clear down payment
    Select special gl indicator
    then press enter and clear down payment against invoice.

    To re-install iPhoto
    1. Put the iPhoto.app in the trash (Drag it from your Applications Folder to the trash)
    2a: On 10.5:  Go to HD/Library/Receipts and remove any pkg file there with iPhoto in the name.
    2b: On 10.6: Those receipts may be found as follows:  In the Finder use the Go menu and select Go To Folder. In the resulting window type
    /var/db/receipts/
    2c: on 10.7 they're at
    /private/var/db/receipts
    A Finder Window will open at that location and you can remove the iPhoto pkg files.
    3. Re-install.
    If you purchased an iLife Disk, then iPhoto is on it.
    If iPhoto was installed on your Mac when you go it then it’s on the System Restore disks that came with your Mac. Insert the first one and opt to ‘Install Bundled Applications Only.
    If you purchased it on the App Store or have a Recent Mac you can find it in your Purchases List.

  • Compressor/BatchMovnitor won't stop even after file has been removed?

    I was trying to compress a 12 minute FCS file and it said it would take 1200 hrs. so I figured I'd better stop and try again. I hit Cancel in Batch Monitor but it kept going anyway, so I quit and re-started and the same file showed up again even though I didn't place it in a new batch or anything. I deleted the preferences for Compressor and BatchMonitor and re-started and it still shows up - says it's "canceling" but never cancels. How do I stop this from happening and get rid of it?

    In classiclly typical fashion , immediately after posting (after searching compressor topics) I searched under Batch Monitor and found a bunch or similar problems. The answer came by deleting a file from the Qmaster folder. Now it appears to be working "normaly" again.

    If you’ve resolved your driver issues and everything is working properly now, you shouldn’t run into any related errors down the
    road.  With that being said though, it can’t hurt to go ahead and look for any other errors that might be existing.
    In order to do this:
    Press your Windows key and X simultaneously. 
    This will bring up a menu with administrative tools you can choose from. 
    Select Disk Management.
    Highlight your C:\ drive by clicking on it.
    Right-click on your C:\ drive and select Properties.
    Go to the Tools tab. 
    This will bring up a tab that has the options for error checking and also to
    defragment and optimize your drive.
    Click on Check under error checking. 
    This will scan your drive for any errors and also repair them.

  • Audio from video clip comes though even after it has been removed

    I have detached audio from my movie clips and they still come though on some clips after I share to iDVD. I then muted them and they come through, I then just move them to 0 volume and they still come through. It was working in iMovie and then when I shared it would come through. Only after I shared. Now it is happening in iMovie. I have spent days on this. Any help would be grateful.

    Yes, on the speed slider you will see tick marks at the presets. I think they are 25%, 50%, 100%, 200%, 400%, 800% but there may be some more.

    QI has been setup for this material, in the PO and also MIGO goods receipt, stock type has been defaulted to "QI" as well.
    however after the GR has been posted and i checked MMBE, the stock went straight to "unrestriced".
    how to i know if there's any user exit or setup in the QM that causes this?

    This could be another reason besides the 'Post to Inspection stock' activation.

    In my opinion the only the only one that you can do is updating the BIOS as Akuma suggested. This problem is not software related so thats the only option you have I think. You can download the newest BIOS version here:

    If not, contact an authorized service provider please. The guys can fix all hardware related problems can diagnose this problem. Maybe the mainboard or something else must be exchanged.

    I have a HP-Pavilion dv6 6121TX, with AMD 6770m gpu.
    The fan of the gpu runs constantly even after disabling it using the following command
    echo OFF > /sys/kernel/debug/vgaswitcheroo/switch
    the output for "cat /sys/kernel/debug/vgaswitcheroo/switch" is as follows
    0:DIS: :Off:0000:01:00.0
    1:IGD:+:Pwr:0000:00:02.0
    It shows that the DGPU is off and yet the fan for the same runs continuously at full speed.

    You might also try a different battery if you have access to one. Unfortunately, many of the replacement batteries being shipped by Apple are defective. They don't fit properly into the battery bay. I suspect that if the quality control is this poor, then it seems likely that other problems will arrise as well. Check carefully that the battery itself is not overheating. Another possibility which also happened to me is that after installing the last upgrade to the operating system, one or more of the third party widgets became problematic, causing the same problem you describe. After removing all third party widgets, the problem stopped. Good Luck

The App description did not say anything that it would not do what I was trying to do. I wrote sup[port and asked if they could issue a credit. Mari at support wrote back and said he checked with his supervisor and they could not issue a credit.  I told them what a good loyal customer I have been to Itunes and Apple and they still refused.  Granted the App did not cost a lot of money (3.99) but it’s the principle. With customers having options to shop anywhere I would think a business would do whatever it takes to retain the loyal customers they do have Occasionally I rush to buy an App without fully understanding if it meets my needs. According to ITunes support that has occurred nine times. Here is the last reply that I received Roger, I know how frustrating it can be when things don't work the way they should be  and I do apologize for the inconvenience that this may have caused you. I am sorry but we could not be able to grant your request as we have made 9 exceptions on you.     You've already had 9 refunds? You understand that apps are sold on a non-return policy, presumably. You bought an app that didn't claim to do something that you wanted from it, and now that you've found that it doesn't, you want your money back.
    Perhaps you've failed to explain your point properly but I can't see why you expect any sympathy from users here, not that it would make any difference. Only the store staff can issue refunds if they think appropriate. Chalk it up to experience. You could even contact the developer in advance of a purchase if you want to be certain an app does what you want. Then if it really fails to live up to the promise you would at least have a better argument for a refund.

    Hi All,
    I had this problem today myself, and was frustrated repeatedly by the '4002' error.
    I have literally just fixed the issue by doing the following steps:
    1: Go to the 'Store' tab and select 'Turn Off iTunes Match'
    2: Return to the 'Store' tab and select 'Update Genius'
    3: Wait for this to complete succesfully, the return to the 'Store' tab once more and select 'Turn On iTunes Match'.
    4: iTunes Match will now go through the motions and should succeed!
