  • Assassins creed 2 lacks on macbook pro?

I just bought the new assassins creed brotherhood on appstore, but it lacks on my 13" 2010 model macbook pro?
On appstore, the recommended requirements is following:
Intel core 2 duo 2,3 GHz
    4 GB RAM
Nvidia geforce GT 8800 or ATI radeon 4850 or better
The specs of my macbook pro:
Intel core 2 duo 2,66 GHz
    4 GB RAM
    Nvidia geforce GT 320M
So, i'm at bit confused, because it almost doesn't help if i adjust the graphics at the lowest.
I've only used about 30 GB of my harddisk space, i have no running programs while playing, and i use cleanmymac.
    Anyone who can help???

Your problem is being caused by the integrated graphics in your 13" MBP.  It seems that alot of people do not know the difference and get upset when they find out that their graphics card in the brand new MBP 13" is pretty bad.  The 13" model is not a gaming machine and I think Apple should make sure people know the difference before they plop down the money for a 13" when they can spend a few hundred more for a far more capable machine.  The upgraded 15" and 17" models can handle most games.  I have a mid 2010 15" MBP and it handles Assassin's Creed 2 quite well.  I've only had it slow down once when there were alot of guards around and I was next to one of the unaccessible areas.  I am playing the game under Mac OS 10.6.7.  I heard that if you play under Bootcamp in Windows you might get better performance, but I have the Mac only version and have not had a chance to try it in Bootcamp.  Has anyone here tried it on both the Mac side and Windows via Bootcamp on the same machine?

Not sure there is a Collector's Edition for this one....I had pre-ordered at another store for the "Harlequin" DLC, but now that I've seen a Death Pirate DLC, I'll be changing my pre-order....but when I put my money down there I only was privvy to a standard edition.  Seeing as how this is Assassin's Creed 2.5 and not 3, I can understand that.
Although if there is a collector's edition, can someone shed any light?

  • Assassins Creed 2 color problem

So, I have been playing Assassins Creed 2 on my 13' macbook pro for awhile now and it works really great. But as soon as I installed OS Lion, I'm getting a really weird error. I included an image. Apparently this is a very common problem. I'm wondering if Apple is close to releasing an update or anything for it. Or if there are possibly some solutions.

Assassin Creed is multi-platform game Xbox One, Xbox 360, PS4, PS3, and PC. and another game from Nvidia(The way it meant to be played). so far as i know only nvidia that has better driver support for the game. GX70 is not really recommended for it but if you still want to play it, turn down the settings to medium or high and before you start the game, make sure you turn the "High Performance" in the "Configure Switchable Graphics"(from desktop, right click and click Configure Switchable Graphics)
Hope its help, sorry for my bad english

  • Xbox One Assassin Creed Console Bundle

I was wondering if y'all giving codes for this bundle cause my console came without the codes for the Assassin's Creed games I bought the console last Friday

    Hello htown4life,
Thank you for purchasing your Xbox One from Best Buy.  I know you're going to love it.
That said, I am sorry to hear that you did not find your Assassin's Creed Unity download code in your box.  These cards are distributed in-pack, so we are not able to offer digital distribution.  I would encourage you to reach out to Microsoft Support, as this offer was facilitated through them directly.
Another option would be to return to the store with your console and receipt.  If you do this, please be sure to bring all parts and accessories with you.
    Thanks for writing in.

  • 24" Intel iMac - Intermittent lack of screen image

I have a friends 24" iMac which has some performance issues.
It has been crashing and hanging a lot and occasionally has lines on the screen.
This could be a logic board or graphics issue, but my first thought was to reinstall the OS from scratch and during this process I have discovered a weird screen issue.
I began by booting using the original install disc and resetting his password
I then cloned the internal drive using superduper in preparation for wiping and reinstalling Leopard on the internal drive.
To achieve this I plugged the iMac and the external drive into my MacBook as a firewire target disk
(The firewire logo displayed normally on screen)
I then connected the external drive directly to the iMac and booted from the new clone to test it.
The apple logo appeared and then the login screen, after entering the password the desktop appeared, but the menu bar was halfway down and only part of the screen was actually displaying anything other than the original blue colour from startup. (It didn't look like a resolution issue)
I forced a restart and booted from the original internal drive, I was able to hold option and see and select the internal drive, but the computer then proceeded to startup with a black screen
This behaviour then persisted as I tried to repeat each of the following multiple times
Reboot while holding C to bootfrom the leopard dvd
Reboot, choosing external clone drive by holding option
Reboot while holding option and choosing internal disk
Reboot while holding option and choosing install dvd disk
Reboot without holding anything to automatically boot from the internal disk
At this point I called it a night
Today I turned on the machine and reset the pram followed by a successful boot using the clone drive and another successful boot using the internal drive so I proceeded to boot from the install disk, erased the internal drive and installed leopard.
The install proceeded without issue until the progress bar was nearly all the way there at which point I left the room for about half an hour
On my return the screen was black and I was forced to hold down the power button to restart at which point the grey screen appeared, followed by the apple logo and then the black screen again, but this time I could hear the leopard intro movie playing - it appears that everything is working normally apart from the screen
I have since held down Command and S to boot into single user modem where the terminal displays correctly on screen.
I suspect allowing the machine to cool was the reason I had initial success this evening, but what could cause this problem?
I am thinking a graphics card issue, but does that mean the graphics card is not involved in displaying the firewire target disk logo, single user mode or the different hard disk options available at startup?

    Update:
Waiting several hours again allowed booting, but something is corrupted because the machine hangs badly (frozen screen and only the cursor moves)
I think there are BOTH hardware and software problems
    At this moment;
•The iMac has performance issues with the original setup as received from my friend
•The iMac has performance issues with the new install of leopard and system migrated user account
•The iMac no performance issues and only minor graphics performance issues when booted from my MacBook as a Target Disk
I am posting from it right now and the only issue, which occurred on boot, was some lines on the screen
I am planning to boot again into the new leopard install, but with a new user account if I can get far enough to create one, otherwise I will enable root and see if that allows the system to run with any stability
I am expecting an hour or so of use to result in the blank screen issue again.

  • DOA iMac - Apple "Lack of" Care

My 24" 2.8 GHz iMac arrived on Wed 8/22. I was disappointed to find that it had a malfunctioning fan and Tech Support deemed it DOA and needed to be returned. I was informed that shipping labels would be overnighted to me. Apple would not send a replacement until the original was returned.
    Two days later....no labels.
Another call to technical support...20 minutes on hold and then a helpful guy who says he'll call Returns directly and solve my problem (no useful info had been recorded in my case file). He calls me back later and says HE CANNOT GET THROUGH TO ANYONE IN RETURNS but has "escalated" my issue via e-mail. What a joke.
Apple seems content to hang on to my money (maybe I should ask for interest?!?!), but meanwhile I have no indication of when I'll receive a working unit and no way of contacting anyone with the ability or willingness to do something about it.
Any suggestions for cutting through the red tape?

Unfortunately, not all machines will arrive in perfect working order, some do get rough handling during transit. This is true of all makes not just Apple.
However, from my own personal experiences of Apple Customer Care, the treatment end users recieve from Apple is awful. I recently had 2 replacement Mac Pro's sent out the first of of which was damaged in transit. While I did eventually recieve a replacement unit, it took over 8 months for Apple to decide my original unit was beyond help and agreed to a replacement being sent out.
During the 8 months, the original unit was not useable and so was packed back up awaiting a solution (fortunately I had a trusted PowerMac G5 Quad to use as a back up so I was able to get some work done but did however build up quite a backlog of work and eventually had to turn work down in an attempt to ease the amount of backlog. The work I had to decline cost me several thousands of pounds in lost income which Apple gave no consideration to or compensation for.
I purchased the extended warranty which Apple transferred to the replacement machine but decided to dock the original 8 months from the warranty period. Hardly good customer relations. Apple agreed the original machine was in effect a lemon and agreed it could not be used yet the penalised the replacement machine from having the full 3 year warranty period.
After this episode and experience, having had to fight to get anywhere with technical support, eventually I escalated the problem to their Executive Relations Deprtment, 8 months on I get a solution which should have been offered immediately. Not happy. Apple just adding insult to injury.
The replacement Mac Pro has so far worked without issue and is a joy to use, unfortunately Apple's after care leaves a very bad taste in the mouth. They really do need to get it sorted out.
When it is time to replace my current network of systems, in light of my experience with Apple since the Intel switch, I doubt I will be replacing any system with another Mac. I will have no choice but to switch back to Windows based systems unless Apple really get their game and build quality back on top form. OS X is a joy to use, I just wish the machines Apple provide to run this platform on were up to the same high standard as the OS.
Hardly as Apple state on their web site "absolutely flawless integration of hardware and software", "Macs just work". The jury is still out on that.
This is not an Apple hate post, just an honest post from an Apple customer sharing my experience with Apple so far. I have to admit when I was using PowerPC based machines I only ever had one need to call tech support and the problem was sorted out pretty quickly, however since I swapped to Intel based machines, the need to contact Customer Care has been increased significantly and the over all quality of the machines I have received has been poor.
Keep at it if you are unhappy, escalate the problem to Executive Relations if need be and when you do get your replacement machine I hope it is a better experience all round for you.

  • How Good Can The MacBook Pro Play Minecraft and other games like assassins creed?

    Please Answer!

You shouldn't have any problem running Minecraft; It's Java based and will run on most platforms. I'm running Minecraft without a hitch.
Assasins Creed? Hmm, depending on your hardware spec i shouldn't see you having a problem.
I'm running on the 2013 15" Retina, with dedicated graphics chip though; However the Activity Monitor shows that it is using the Iris chipset to run Minecraft.
    Hope that helps.

  • Will Assassins Creed Revelations be available for a Mac system ?

Will Assasins creed revelations be available for a mac system?

That is a question that you need to contact the developer of the app and ask. Apple is not here to answer your questions. Everyone here is a user of Apple products, we do not have answers to this type of question.

  • Downloading tiger or lepord to an imac G4 lacking a DVD drive

My G4 iMac 700 MHz with upgraded ram has OSX 10.3.9. I tried to download 10.4 or later and cannot because a DVD (mine came with CD Drive) is required and the External DVD's I can find require 10.4 to use. I have the capacity just don't know how to download Tiger or Leopard. Any thoughts.

Of course, the presumption that access to another Mac exists, is my presumption; not yours

It's a bit iffy, though; in some cases, people have reported that running the Mac OS X install from a different model of Mac has caused erroneous installation of some components. Having a DVD drive for his iMac will be the most reliable.
Agreed. But the option is there if other options aren't available.
