Asset acquision with fb01

I need to acquire 2000 assetin new company code, do we need to develop LSMW for T-code F-90, or can we use LSMW-FB01 direct input? if we use fb01,  any difference with F-90? if I using fb01, can APC value of asset be updated? or it only update GL?
so come back to my question, should we develop LSMW for F-90 or FB01 in mass asset acquisition, thanks.

Hi
I don't see any difference between F-90 and FB01, the only thing is you have to use Posting key and Transaction type accordingly.
Thanks

  • What is the process flow for Asset Acquisation without PO in CIN environmen

    Hi,
I need to do Asset Acquisation without PO (Directly through F-91) scenario in CIN environment.
Kindly help me on *how to proceed with Direct Asset Acquisation without PO. How can i capture excise invoice for this scenario.
When i am doing direct acquisation of asset thru F-91, how can i capture excise invoice?
    Thanks

    HI,
This is not possible to update excise data while aquiring assets through FI......
Because SAP has clearly mentined that if you want to avail CIN functionality then MM and SD modules must have been implemented.....
System has copy control from GR to Excise invoice so better aquire asset though PO so that you can update register RG23C Part I and Part II.

  • Asset posting using FB01

    Hi,
I'd like to understand why some asset ttypes can be posted using FB01 but some don't.  I guess it is contolled by the ttype group.  What do you think? I've created new ttypes for asset transfers.  They work fine when business uses ABUMN.  But they also want to use these new ttypes with FB01.
Any idea whether I can do it?
    Thanks!

    Hello ,
It is most likely caused by the inconcistency in configuration.
In OBY6, If company ID is not defined for company codes, they are not
affliated companies. But in the transaction type, 'post to affliated
    cocd.' is clicked.
Please refer to SAP notes 127650 and 590975 to help with this issue.
Also please review the relevant notes 327088 and 143410 and ensure your
    customising is correct.
    hope this helps,

  • Asset report with vendor number and vendor desc wise

    Hi Gurus
The requirement is to generate asset reports with the below fields:
Asset class, Asset number & desc, vendor number & desc
Suppose say all asset balances should be reported by vendor name and desc.
I couldn't get the right results using an existing or a custom sort version. Do not want to go with a custom report or a SAP query.
Any pointers in this regard would be helpful.
    Thanks

    Hi,
you need to maintain Tax Code A0 & V0 in t.code OBCL t.code.
and also ensure to check whether you have created tax code V1 or not in FTXP t.code. If not, create V1 tax code and assign GL on that in the right Transaction event keys in OB40.
Try.... if not working let me know....

In India Localization If I have Asset Invoice with Tax Lines and If I Perform Mass Additions will Tax Lines also Interfaced to FA or only Asset cost will be transferred FA (Excluding Tax Lines)
    Please help me out.
    Thanks

    Bharath,
even though the tax lines are independently transferred to mass addition and merged ... it is merged to its owning transaction ... like if the invoice in AP is created for a capital asset using the Capital asset clearing account, the tax lines in that invoice is merged automatically to that invoice cost line in the mass addition stage ... similary for CIP clearing account ....

  • Which table contains net book value for Assets created with AS91.

Which table contains net book value for Assets created with AS91.
I have a problem locating where the net book value is stored in SAP.  Is it simply calculated and not stored in any one place?  I am trying to predict how SAP will calculate the net book value for some assets we plan on converting, but my formula doesn't always work consistently and I have not idea what is going on.  If it is stored in a table some place, can anyone please let me know!
    Thank you all

    Hi anar.samadzade & Michael Stewart
It is not possible to directly get net book value of an any Table. You must migrate the gross book value (acquisition cost) and the accumulated depreciation. SAP will then calculate the NBV.
Gross Block & Accumulate Dep you will get from Table: ANLC

  • Asset PO with Budget check

    Hi Everyone,
My requirement is that i want to create a asset PO with account assignment "A" but the value of the asset should be checked against a predefined budget in Asset Accounting. If the budget exceeds the user should be stopped from creating a PO. How do we do this?
    Regards,
    Vinod Kapote

    Boss,
           Create Contract on Dummy Vendor.
Create PO with respect to Contract.
Actual Vendor can be maintained as Invoicing Party.
System check the Quantity and Value wrt Contract.
You can also track the Contact using WCOC - Contract Monitor if you use ISR.

  • How to Use Same Asset Number with Different Sub-number

    Hi
We want to sell some assets and buy them back on lease. We want to use same Asset number with different sub-number under the same company code. This new asset will be under different Depreciation Area (Statistical).
We use external numbes for assets . And same asset number range is used by all compnay codes.
Please suggest whether this is possible & how.
    With Regards,
    Nitin

    Hi,
Go to field status for asset master data section and change the field status to optional for field Deactivation date, then follow the below steps.
You can create an sub asset number to an asset, which is already deactivated by retirement as like normal sub asset creation with AS11.(While creating sub number, you need to remove cap date and deactivate dcate field manually from asset master)
With this you can get new asset number as same as your old retired asset main number and but sub number will be different.
To post to diff dep area, other than 01, then you first create an acq transaction type, which will post only to specific areas and then use the new asset number in ABSO to post acq with your custom TTY.
I have tested and found working well in my system............Try now in your test client
    Thanks,

  • Depreciation forecast after Asset revalution with AR29N inconsistent

There is a need to revalue assets on a certain date in the current
fiscal year. We did all the steps necessary to carry out revaluation
using Transaction AR29N, using the "new valuation of an asset"
function. After the reval the asset master was updated with the new Depreciation key and new useful life/dep start date.
SAP calculated the forecasted depreciation incorrectly in the
first few attempts, but after some testing it worked fine and we posted
periodic depreciation. This worked as expected. Using the same settings
in the same company code a new asset was revalued with a new value
date. The problem has returned although nothing was changed in the
system, The fore casted depreciation does not make sense.
    Examples:
    1. Asset Original Value at FY start - $100 with a planned dep of $1 for
the remaining useful life. Depreciation for 4th FP posted. Asset revalued
with a value date corresponding to FYP 04/2011. Revalued at $1200 with
new useful life of 24 months and new Dep start date corresponding to
start FYP 03. Expected depreciation PM is $50. This scenarion worked
    fine.
    2. Asset Original Value at FY start - $100 with a planned dep of $1 for
the remaining useful life. Depreciation for 4 FP posted. Asset revalued
with a value date corresponding to FYP 05/2011. Revalued at $2400 with
new useful life of 24 months and new Dep start date corresponding to
start FYP 03. Expected depreciation PM is $100. SAP shows forecasted
monthly depreciation of $108 per month

    Hi Manish,
Are revaluated values appearing correctly in asset explorer (AW01N) both APC and depreciation.
If no then I would suggest to run AFAR for recalculate depreciation.
    Thanks!!!

    Hi,
    You needs two tax codes!
You PO contains 2 line items, so create 1st line item with a tax code(S1) of 5% non-credit tax and 2nd line item with another tax code(S2) of 12.36% non-credit service tax.
Both tax code S1 and S2 should have created with service tax condition with different tax percentage 5% and 13.62 % respectively where the same service tax condition type should assigned to NVV key in your tax procedure.
