Assign pay grade structure to employees

Hi all! I am have already created a pay grade structure , can anyone tell me how do i asssign  the pay grade structure to  employees?  thanks in advance!

Hi,
Maintain the values for pay grade type and area in table V_001P_C and assign the values to PA and PSA.
Then default the type and area under TARIF feature by giving a value.
In IT 0008, if it reflects as Payscale with Type and area... change it to Salary using Edit -> Change Remuneration Type and it would reflect the Pay Grade contexts.

  • Pay Grade Structure

    Hi,
I am setting up the pay grade structure. One alternative i have is to use descriptive terms in the PS Grade field and the numeric grades in the level field.
    For example,
    PS Grade: Top Mnt
    Level : 10 - 12
    PS Grade: Sen Mnt
    Level: 7-8
    PS Grade: Jun Mnt
    Level: 4-6
    PS Grade: Clerical
    Level: 1-3
Now i understand that the level field is not meant for this purpose and is actually a subdivision of Grade. But my question is, what difference does it make? Will it possibly have an impact on Job Pricing and/or Salary Survey processes in the future? (which we have not currently configured).
    Please share your opinions
    thanks

    Hi Jamie,
Interesting usage. I like the idea. Is it 80% of the min or max of the salary scale? Are you enforcing this through a user exit?
Ok, so the grades and levels can be used flexibly. i had asked the question due to some confusion developed after reading on the Peromnes system of job grading. This system uses categories like Top Mnt, Sen Mnt, Mid Mnt, Jun Mnt and Clerical for the grades with 3 levels in each. But i have decided to go for simple numeric grades because the client was having difficulty in deciding which grades will be default for which employee sub-groups.
    thanks

  • Assigning Pay scale to Positions

    Dear Experts;
There is a request to assign the pay scale to the position, that can help them know how many levels or grades have vacancies.
The case is, they have employees assigned to positions with a specific grade, then they are transferred from unit to another without having changes in their grades so their previous positions have been vacant but their grades are not as they are still on the same grade.
While another case if the employee got promoted to another grade then his previous one has been vacant.
    How can this be done?
    Thanks in advance.
    Best Regards;
    Lobna

    Hi,
    1st Scenario:
You can assign pay scale structure here:
PA-->Payroll Data--> Basic Pay-->Wage Type and as below
    2nd Scenario:
For the second when you run promotion/transfer action and where a position is changed then the
messages triggers for delimiting the previous position, which says the vacancy infotype is activated for that particular position.
This happens because of relationship infotype for position and time constraint class defined.
    Hope this will help you.
    Thanks and Regards,

  • Pay Scahe Structure

    Dera Gurus..
Please let me  know when to use pay sacle structure and when to use pay grade structure....in basic pay..
On what parameters we chosse the pay structure type
    Regards
    Ashima

We use T510N for a salary range, without a specific amount tied to PS group and level for our Pay for Performance.
    For example:
        PS type: GN
        PS area: G5
        PS group: B429
        This Payscale is:
        Minimum   63107.000
        Mean        77658.000
        Maximum  92209.000
And we use T510 for employees that are on steps.
    For example:
        PS type: 06
        PS area: 01
        PS group: RANGE 19
        Level: 05
Then the payscale type 06 and range 01 is setup with 14 steps:
        step 1  13.941
        step 2  14.359
        step 3   14.790
        etc....
Is that what you were asking, which way to do it? If you want to pay an employee a specific amount for being step 1,2, 3, etc, then use T510, but if you want the ability to pay the employee whatever amount within a range, then use T510N.
If that was not your question, please clarify. Hope this helps.

  • Usage of both salary scale structure and pay scale structure

    Hi,
    Background
In most of Western Europe, normally the salary ranges are set by the union agreements.  At the same time, if Job Pricing using data from salary survey companies are used, the salary range (depending on what is requested from the survey companies) might not be the same with the union salary ranges.
    Questions:
    1.  Is it possible to have 2 salary ranges stored in the system:
         a.  Salary range from the union for day to day and legal purposes
         b.  Salary range from the survey data for comparison purposes
I cannot find the solution in standard SAP because you have the choice of either checking the salary scale structure or the pay scale structure.
If I use salary scale structure, I can record minimum and maximum but not reference salary.  That would affect my 'Salary Data' iView in MSS.  However, if I use pay scale structure, I can record minimum, maximum and reference pay and the display in 'Salary Data' iView and the compa-ratio calculation would be accurate.
And in ECM, it is pay scale structure that is used all the time.  Is there any way to have both scales recorded at the same time?
Any help or pointers would be grateful (and points rewarded, of course).
    Thanks,
    MJ Sherdill

    Hi,
Talk to the client about their future plans.
Think about requirements that are going to arise in the Future:
Depending on the Area /s- create PS Area/s
Depending on the companies/ - Create new PS Types
Also Create PS Groups as per the employee Grades.
If you have got time then it is better to create a proper structure Ese you can go for ONE PS Area, PSA Type & PS Group.

  • Enterprise Compensation Management - Pay Scale and Pay grade

    Hi Gurus,
I would like to like to know my understanding is correct.
    1) ECM supports only Pay Grade (T710) and not Pay scale (T510). If so, company using pay scale will not be able to implement ECM? If not please provide the solution (how ECM can be implemented if company use Pay scale t510).
    2) Can Annual Salary be pro-rated for part-timers, using capacity utilization level (CUL) in IT0008? I configured WT ASAL with reduction '2' in wage type characteristics under section 'Indirect valuation', but when i enter 50% in CUL, it is still reflecting the ASAL for 100%. So SAP does not support CUL for ASAL. if not please let me know what is missing in the configuration.
What is the best way to handle part-timer?
    3) Show part time salary in compensation planning [ By implementing BADI for Calculation Base] and then convert back to full time salary?
IT0008 Maintained with the following info.
e.g. employee work for 20 hrs. a week. (40 hrs. per week for full time)
    CUL is 50%
    Monthly salary is 2000$
    Employee's salary is 1000$ (Actual)
To sShow 1000 $ in planning worksheet for managers and covert to full time during Activation?
What is the SAP best practice and recommendation and why?
    Thanks for reading my thread.
    Waiting for reply.

    hi suresh
    just a doubt
when we create the compensation program records 0758 we specify the 1 and 2 program groupings along with the comp area
so even when we default them to the required paygrade groups
does the RHECM_CREATE_COMP_PRO  look at the 758 record of the employee and create the records thus excluding any one with less grade group and those messages?

  • IT0008- Pay Grade

    Hi SAP Experts,
We have got requirement from client that they would be adding a new paygrade in May called 15, and they will be delimiting existing paygrade called 14,
they are planning to move all the employees who are in paygrade 14, to New paygrade 15 ,
So i need your expertise help to what are the things i should take care of while creating new paygrade and delimiting old one. What are the tables should i check, what would be the impact.
We are not running payroll . but running time evaluation calculate Absence Quota and OT, where both are not dependant on this,

    Hi,
This is how we have maintained in our company.
Consider table T710 is used to store pay grade information (sm34 - V_T710CL)
Reference Salary is maintained in T710A (which can be maintained via sm34 - V_T710CL_B)
Pay Grades are then associated to jobs which are related to positons.
Step 1: Suppose for example Grade 24 is delimited and a new Grade 24a is created, we need to find the jobs (HRP1005, OTYPE as C, END DATE as 12/31/9999 and TRFG1 as 24) that were associated to Grade 24, change it to Grade 24a from new start date (this can be done in PP01 - Planned Compensation Relationship)
Step 2: Find the personnel numbers that are associated with the job in step 1 (Job - Position - Personnel number relationship). Consider PA/OM integration is active, trigger a JS Action for the personnel numbers in step 2, new records will be created in infotype 0000/0001/0007/0008 (and other configured infotypes)
    Hope this helps.
    Thanks,

  • Pay Grade Types & Areas

    Hi sapients,
I have one doubt, i.e, what is the use of Pay grade types & areas, is it similar to Payscale Groups & Levels.
    Could you please help me.
    Regards,Pavani.

There is no clear distinction between these two. Its more dependent on which modules you want to implement in HR.  Both are same. But Pay grade (types, area, level etc) is used in the Pay structure ie T710cl where as the Pay Scale (area, types, groups, levels etc) are maintained in T510N (For annual salaries i.e. what you see in IT0008 – PA side)
If you want to implement Compensation Management you have to configure the T710CL table but If you don’t want to implement Comp module but you do want to go for PA/OM modules you have to configure the T510N table (i.e. Pay scale groups, types etc)  to be able to default in IT0008.
    Reward points if this helps

in my process i need to manage the pay grade and the pay grade level. In the structure of the infotype 380 this fields are present, but not display in IT0380 in PA20/PA30.
Is it possible to setup this fields ?

    Hi,
This is part Job Pricing in Compensation Mnagment.
Where you can define the Maximum and mimum amount for a job.
through Infotype:1005(Planned compensation) thru pp01 tcode.
For this in Infotype you will be using Rumenration type as payscale type.
You need config the Pay scale grade level.
Note:Payscale area,Paysclae type is differnt from payscale grade and level.
in terms of config, but use is same

  • More than one sender structure assigned to receiver structure R_*

We are doing a time based reduction using TDMS 3.0.
At the phase called " assign domain rules", we get warning (not error):
"more than one sender structure assigned to receiver structure R_*".
I have searched SND and SMP, google as well but no thread is found for this warning.
    How to fix this problem?
    Thanks!

    Hi David,
They basically are referring to some of TDMS tables where the data type of the header table is different when compared to the underlying child table. The header table refers to TDMS own table for which the data element has been deliberately changed to hold data from other tables as well. This warning will not have any effect. You can ignore them.

  • Integrate the Org structure and employees SAP HR system to CRM via ALE

    Hi All,
We want to integrate the organization structure and employees from mySAP HR system to mySAP CRM system. We are also aware that the same can be achieved through ALE Interface between both these systems.
In addition to the HR Organization Structure from HR system, can we also bring over the Sales Organization Structure from R/3 using transaction CRMC_R3_ORG_GENERATE?
    1) Can someone , please let us the possible challenges which might occur when we download HR Org structure from SAP HR to SAP CRM.?
    2) What is the implication of maintaining an HR org structure and CRM Sales Org structure within the SAP CRM 52 system?
    3) Any _precautions) should we take before doing the download via ALE??
Please get back, suitable points will be awarded.
    Regards
    Ritvij

    Hi Ritvij,
Couple of things that spring to mind are:
    1) When you do the initial data load (PFAL) try to ensure that no one is amending the Org structure as Objects can be locked and therefore not transferred. (on one of our test loads the top level was locked and therfore all subsequent levels were just transfered and we didn't have a top level)
    2) Keep the 'forms of address' in CRM the same as the R/3 ones
    3) Keep the same Employee and Org Unit IDs but prefix with (for exmaple) EM and OU in CRM. (Through the HR integration config in CRM). This may also (apparantley) aid you if set up something like an Employee interaction centre in the future.
I will update when other stuff springs to mind.
    Cheers

  • Assignment of Logical Structures to Users

    Hi,
I have a question regarding the assignment of logical structures to users of a database. The following is what Sam Alapati states in his book "Expert Oracle9i Database Administration:"
"By organizing space into logical structures and assigning these logical entities to users of the database, Oracle databases achieve the logical separation of users (owners of the database objects, such as tables) of the database from the physical manifestations of the database in terms of data files and so forth."
The question is what the unit of assignment is. Can a DBA assign an entire tablespace to a user, or is assignment done in units of segments? Please advise.
    Thanks,
    Karim

The question is what the unit of assignment is. TABLESPACE. Each user has a default tablespace, where his objects (tables, indexes) go if not differently specified. The DBA can assign quota of other tablespaces to any user.
Can a DBA assign an entire tablespace to a userNot directly, but the DBA can assign a quota (or unlimited quota) of a specific tablespace to a user only, and quota 0 to any other user, which practically means to assign the entire tablespace to that user.
