Authentication failed network

Hello friends, I have
a customer who changed his core switch
network by another model,
Allied x900-24xs, after this change
some workstations are experiencing the problem
of authentication in the network,
the problem happens randomly, with
stations that are in same VLAN
and / or in different VLANs,
the problem for when the support technician
removes the seasons of the domain, but a few days
later happens again, the problem
is definitely solved only when
fixed IP put in the stations, only it is
not correct because they are many and we want to
continue using Windows DHCP Server 2012, the
client has two DC, one Windows
Server 2008 and other Windows Server 2012
FSMO holder.
Has anyone ever got this problem?
How to solve?
Annex am sending a picture of what happens
exactly, noting that the problem is
solved only when we put fixed IP
on the workstations.
Thank you!

  • Customize "authentication failed" error message

    I would like to customize the "authentication failed" message to "authentication failed - network ID and password required" when a user fails to provide the correct ID and password logging on to the portal.  Has anyone done something similar to this?
    Thank you in advance for any replies.
    Pat

    Hi,
    download the PAR file.
    Extract the PAR (it's a ZIP).
    Take a look into the file localization.properties:
    Authentication_failed = Authentication failed.
    Portal_Logon = Portal Logon
    Logon_ID = User Name
    Password = Password
    Auth_Scheme = Auth Scheme
    Log_On = Log On
    Change the Authentication_failed = Authentication failed part and insert your new text. Zip the file again as a PAR and upload it:
    http://server:port/irj/irj
    Clear the cache and try if the new message appears.

    I have sought help, posting on the forum at community.office365.com -
    http://community.office365.com/en-us/forums/158/t/212265.aspx. But I've got to a point where I believe the problem is more to do with how PowerShell is operating on the on-prem Exchange server.
    Has anyone else come across this problem running the Hybrid Configuration Wizard?

    Hello Darrell,
    Have you verified the settings of Powershell virtual directories for the on-premises Exchange Servers? The following article has a list of some common issues with that virtual directory and how to correct them:
    http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ff607221(v=exchg.80).aspxI would take a look at the one titled "Configure Kerberos Authentication" specifically to ensure everything
    looks good.
    As the article states you can run the Exchange BPA and it will check if any of these exist as well.

  • I get a "Network Authentication Failed" when trying to send a picture message...any suggestions?

    My daughter has a Samsung Intensity II and whenever she  (or I) try to send a picture message from it, we get "Network Authentication Failed". I have tried calling *228, option 2, but that did not resolve the problem. Any other suggestions out there?

    Try *228, option 1 instead to reprogram the phone. Option 2 just updates the roaming list.
    Are you in an extended coverage area? You should be within a native Verizon Wireless coverage area when reprogramming the phone.

    You may have to shut your computer off and pull the power adapter from both your ISP's Modem and your Router and wait 5 minutes and restart them in the following order.
    1st your ISP's Modem and wait a minute to get your signal and lights.
    2nd do the same with your Router and again you have to wait the minute.
    Last restart your computer and boot in OSX use Safari.

Today, all the user belong to domain A are not logi n; for user in domain B, all of them can log in but BO server response is very slowly. and there is error message popup when opening Webi report for domain B user. Below are the error message:
           " Active Directory Authentication failed to get the Active Directory groups for the account with ID:XXXX; pls make sure this account is valid and belongs to an accessible domain"
          Anyone has encountered similar issue?

    Thanks and Regards

    Please get in touch with your AD team and verify if there are any changes applied to the domain controller and there are no network issues.
    Also since this is a multi domain, make sure you have 2 way transitive forest trust as mentioned in SAP Note : 1323391 and FQDN for Directory servers are maintained in registry as per 1199995

    The same user account works well for other devices.

    No errors on ACS server; same rights had been given to the user account.
    Thanks to advise.

    Hi there,
    Does the user get authenticated in the ACS logs?
    reports and activity----> failed attempts
    ro
    reports and activity----->  passed authentications
    That will help narrow it down.

  • WinRM cannot process the request. The following error occured while using Kerberos authentication: The network path was not found.

    I have two forests with a transitive on-way trust between them: PROD -> TEST (test trusts PROD). I had previously had kerberos authentication working with winrm from PROD to machines in TEST. I have verified the trust is healthy, I also verified users
    in TEST can use WINRM with kerberos just fine. Users from PROD cannot connect via kerberos to machines in TEST with winrm.
    I have verified the service has registered the appropriate SPNs. I ran dcdiag against all my PROD and TEST domain controllers and didn't find anything that would prevent kerberos from happening. I even tried disabling the firewall entirely on my TEST dcs
    but that didn't gain me anything.
    I've enabled kerberos logging but only see the expected errors such as it couldn't find a PROD SPN for the machine, which it shouldn't from what I understand, it should go to the TEST domain and find the SPN from there.
    I'm really out of next steps before I call PSS and hope someone here has run into this and could provide me some next steps.

    Hi Adam,
    I'm a little unclear about which SPNs you were looking for, in which case could you confirm you were checking that on the computer object belonging to the actual destination host it has the following SPNs registered?
    WSMAN/<NetBIOS name>
    WSMAN/<FQDN>
    If you were actually trying to use WinRM to connect to the remote forest's domain controllers, then what you said makes sense, but I was caught between assuming this was the case or you meant another member server in that remote forest.
    Also, from the client trying to connect to this remote server, are you able to telnet to port 5985? (If you've used something other than the default, try that port)
    If you can't, then you've got something else like a firewall (be that the Windows firewall on the destination or a hardware firewall somewhere in between) blocking you at the port level, or the listener on the remote box just isn't working as expected. I
    just replied to your other winrm post with steps for checking the latter, so I won't repeat myself here.
    If you can telnet to it and the SPNs exist, then you might be up against something called selective authentication which has to do with how the trust was defined. You can have a read of
    this to learn a bit more about selective trusts and whether or not it's affecting you.

    Looks like the agent can't authenticate. Check the AM URL and the amldapuser password. Check the amserver amAuthApplication and amComm debug files to see if there are any agent authentication related exceptions. If you have ethereal installed you can do a network trace to see the XML passed between the agent and the server

  • NPS Authentication Fails (Reason 16) After Migration to 2012 R2 from 2008 R2

    I'm using NPS for wired dot1x authentication and I just migrated my NPS server from 2008 R2 to 2012 R2.  When I point the network switch to start using the new 2012 R2 NPS as the RADIUS server, I get authentication failures - event 6273, reason code
    16.  When I switch it back to the 2008 R2 server, it works fine.  The two servers are configured EXACTLY the same as far as I can tell - same RADIUS client config, same connection request policies, same network policies - and it should be since I
    used the MS prescribed migration process.  The only thing that differs is the server's certificate name used in the PEAP setup screen.
    I'm using computer authentication only, so everything is based on computer accounts and I've selected to NOT validate server credentials on the group policy.
    I've verified the shared secrets multiple times.  Both servers are domain controllers.
    Here is an example of the errors logged on the 2012 R2 server.

    Hi,
    Have you added the NPS server to the RAS and IAS Servers
    security group in AD DS?
    The NPS server needs permission to read the dial-in properties of user accounts during the authorization process.
    Try to add a loal user on the NPS server, then test with the local user. If it works, it means that there is something wrong between NPS and DC.
    If the issue persists, it means that the configuration between NPS and NAS is wrong.

    I am running an Airport Extreme with two Airport Expresses on my network.  There are two macbook pros, two iphones, two ipads, a PS3 and a chromecast in the household, a max of probably 5 or 6 of which are turned on at any given time.  Normally everything works perfectly, but occasionally my wife or I will get an "authentication failed" message while trying to log onto our home network, and after wasting time resetting the router, checking settings, etc, the only sure fire way to reconnect seems to be to make sure the chromecast and a couple of the iphones are turned off.
    If I remember correctly, the max number of connections to an airport extreme is 50?  Obviously not ideal but it shouldn't be refusing connections when 6 or 7 devices are trying to hook up.  We have had the same issue when firends come to visit.  I can't find any obvious problems in the airport setup, and I have my DHCP range set from xx.xx.xx.2 to 200.
    Any ideas?

    is it the same device generating the error
    i have had up to 40 devices on a single extreme maybe with 10 actively working others when needed with no issue

  • Authentication Failed to 2008 NPS from Cisco IOS VPN

    I'm trying to authenticate VPN connections to a Windows 2008 NPS Radius server.
    Local authentication works fine.
    Here are cisco configs:
    aaa new-model
    aaa authentication login default local
    aaa authentication login VPNauth group radius local
    aaa authorization network VPNgroup local
    aaa session-id common
    ip radius source-interface Loopback0
    radius-server host x.x.x.x auth-port 1645 acct-port 1646 key 7 xxxx
    crypto map VPNMAP client authentication list VPNauth
    crypto map VPNMAP isakmp authorization list VPNgroup
    crypto map VPNMAP client configuration address respond
    crypto map VPNMAP 10 ipsec-isakmp dynamic dynmap
    ... other crypto commands
    This is the section of the log from NPS:

    I do have PAP enabled on the Network/Connection Request Policies...
    I'm stuck
    Please help

    Can you run a "teat aaa " command to see if the user can be authenticated successfully?
    I think this might be a configuration issue on NPS. You can google it. Here is one I found, refer to "irishHam" post.

  • Authentication Failed - Control or Observe

    First things first... this is what I have:
    ARD Admin: 17" MacBook Pro running 10.5.1 and ARD 3.2
    Want to control: Mirror Door PowerMac G4 with 10.4.11 and ARD client version 3.2.1
    I had the same problem prior to updates and upgrading my OS to 10.5. I can manage this computer, and share my screen with it. But I cannot observe or control it. When I try this, I receive Authentication Failed.
    I have tried re-installing the client via kickstart on the client machine. I have uninstalled all privs and settings via kickstart. I have also reset all these settings and restarted the menu, console, and agent.
    On my MBP I have removed the computer and re-added it many times. I have checked all settings on the client... flushed dns cache... fixed any network problems... verified that firewall is not turned on. I even cleaned all caches and ran maintenance on it.
    All of this I have done, and I keep receiving the same error message. Does anyone have any other ideas... I guess I could re-install the system, but I'd rather not have to do that.
    Thanks,
    Ken

    I lost access to two of my clients as well. Could see them in scanner and they even showed up as available, light blue, but I could not control or observe. So the following fixed the problem for me.
    Open terminal:
    ssh shortusername@ipaddress for specific client
    rm -rf /var/db/RemoteManagement
    rm /Library/Preferences/com.apple.RemoteDesktop.plist
    rm ~/Library/Preferences/com.apple.RemoteDesktop.plist
    rm -r /Library/Application\ Support/Apple/Remote\ Desktop/
    rm -r ~/Library/Application\ Support/Remote\ Desktop/
    Then create special ARD client install package with ARD admin app with all the settings configured. I don’t know how to install and run the package via ssh so I just emailed it to the client and had them open the package and run the install.
    It worked for me, I now have access to the clients that I lost access to (verify failed)
