"Authentication failed. User is already authenticated as a different user."
Hello,
Initially I was not able to log into the Visual Admin. When I logged into the Visual Admin, I got authenication failed. I reset the password of Administrator in the User Administration on the portal. Now I can log into the Visual Admin using the password I just changed on the portal .
I am not able to logon to the portal using "Administrator". I get this message: "Authentication failed. User is already authenticated as a different user."
The URL is somewhat different as this is a production portal: "http://host.com/sld" (/irj/portal)
Does any one have a clue.
Thanks
Srinivas

I think you have to raise SR with oracle, because it is prod environment.
If you still want to do some R&D.

Add more authentication tests for different channels. Fix a couple timing issues in the tests. Some tests were calling logout() and not waiting before running the next test which was failing in some cases.

Thank you for your response.
We have SAP PI 7.11 and we did get it to work with SPNego (Kerberos token) for an SSO interface from a .Net web client using an ActiveDirectory User. It was NOT an easy task, but it worked.
The problem we are facing is that when we setup the Authentication Stack for the XISOAPAdapter component in the NWA as instructed by SAP to support BASIC Auth AND SPNego, the old .Net clients that do not FORCE the Basic Auth try to connect with an NTLM Token (and this doesn't work)
After their first request they receive a response from PI with:
www-authenticate: Basic realm="XISOAPApps"
www-authenticate: Negotiate
Then they choose to send NTLM Token instead of the Basic. This very simple to fix, by forcing the .Net client to send Basic or Kerberos. But we can not change the client side as they are in production env. for some time now, and we have over 200 interfaces with several applications, the impact is quite big...if you know what I mean...
So I thought that maybe it was possible to do some Z XISOAPAdapter component parallel to the original and have two different Auth Stacks.
We have opened an OSS with SAP and we are exchanging msgs for some time now. I'll let you all know how this ended...
Regards.
PS: Would be great to read Michal Krawczyk thoughts on this topic ! thx ! -
hi can u say in which failed user login attempts will be stored.
Hi,
Configure the SAP audit system with TC SM19.
Then use TC SM20 to see failed logins (and much more)

Why does appimp fail with "id already exists?"
After upgrading to a recent release of Portal on 8i, we have to use the appexp utility to export Portal objects. We exported an entire application and then dropped it. When we try to run appimp to put it back we get errors that objects will fail because "ID already exists". We found note 168309.1 on Metalink but it didn't give us a fix. Has anybody else encountered this and maybe found a solution?
Thanks in advance
RonThis may be happenning due to some residual data in the wwv_modules$ table pertaining to the application you want to export. Delete the residual data and the try re-importing.

"execute aggregation process" fails if views already exist?
After loading data with the following command...
import database $5.$6 data
from load_buffer with buffer_id 1
add values create slice;
I am attempting to generate aggregated views using the following command...
execute aggregate process
on database $app_name.$db_name
stopping when total_size exceeds 1.5
enable alternate_rollups;
This command fails if I already have a set of views on the database. I was hoping that this command would be able to add to the existing set of aggregated views realizing that there were no views set up for the new slice that was just generated.
Is there a way (with MAXL) to build aggregated views on a database that only creates views for a new slice without going through the process of defining my own views?
Thanks...
BillThe views are automatically updated when you create the new slice, no further processing is required.
From the DBAG:
You can incrementally commit the data load buffer to an aggregate storage database to create a slice. After loading the new slice into the database, Essbase creates all necessary views on the slice (such as aggregate views) before the new data is visible to queries. -
Facebook cannot connect because it's already connected to a different account.
I just upgraded to spotify premium, and would like to connect my facebook account. This is not working on the android app or in-browser. In both cases facebook is opened, requests account information first, then requests permission to post. The first time, on the android app, spotify displayed a message saying this facebook account is already connected to a different account, and since then, when I try to connect to facebook, the facebook app opens and requests permissions but then closes with no apparent change. I do not know what account is already using my facebook (although it is possible I have created one in the past) and I would like to disconnect facebook from this account so I can connect it to mine.
FWIW, when the internet connection fails on my first network (xDSL over Ethernet), my MacMini *fails* to fall back and pick up the internet service on the second network (cable modem over Wifi).
I'd really like it if the MacMini could automatically fall back and search for an internet connection on the second network whenever the first one has an outage.
Any ideas? -
I registered my new iPhone 5s to my usual Apple ID, however it isn't showing in my devices when I log in. I tried to register it by adding a new device, but it tells me it's already registered to a different Apple ID. I'm really not sure how to fix this. I only have the one Apple ID and the phone is brand new, purchased directly from Apple.
When I check on the phone itself (iCloud and App Store settings) the Apple ID is correct. I'm not sure where else to check.
Whilst setting up the phone, it prompted me to register, which I did. Then when connecting to my laptop through iTunes it prompted me again so I registered again. I even got a confirmation email to the email address associated with my Apple ID that the registration was successful.
How can I add my iPhone 5s to the list of devices on the correct Apple ID?
Thanks in advance for any advice.Found the answer to my question after posting (in related discussions)

Hi I have lr 4 on a windows 8 computer. I keep getting an error message when I try to open LR. It states that the catalog is already open in a different location, close this, then try to open lr. I have tried re booting, opening a new catalog, upgrading to 4.4, removed 4.4 & still get the same message. Please help!!!
Try going to your lightroom folder (the default is usually inside Pictures or My pictures) where the catalog is located. Don’t touch any .lrcat files but if you see a similar file with the word Lock, you can delete it. Then try launching Lightroom.
-
I received an iPhone 6 in the mail from my previous service provider but I already changed to a different provider and got an iPhone 6 in the meantime because my iPhone 5 stopped working and I was desperate thinking I wouldn't receive the phone in the mail. Should I mail it back or sell it?
You aren't serious are you? Send it back. It is not yours, you do not own it, therefore selling it would constitute selling stolen goods. You would be committing a crime, and you would be screwing whomever you sold it to.

Restarting a failed admin server on another machine with different IP
Hi,
I'm trying to restart a failed admin server on another machine with different IP on Weblogic Server 10gR3. After copying the domain config to another server, the admin server can be started without any problem, but it cannot contact the managed server until the managed server is rebooted.
The behavior contradicts the documentation, http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E12840_01/wls/docs103/server_start/failures.html#wp1064112, that says Running MSs will learn the new AS address when they are contacted by the AS after it has been started. It does not mention the managed servers need to be rebooted.
did I do anything wrong? Your help would be much appreciated.
Thanks a lot,
AndreasHi,
What ever you said is true. If the IP Address of Admin Server is changed, then Managed Server must connect to Admin Server after "ReconnectIntervalSecs" . If the IP address is not moved then Admin Server Should contact Managed Server automatically.
Can you provide details steps you had performed, so that we can identify the root cause of the issue.
Thanks.

Hi,
I tried to set up the LDAP Authentication but I failed.

Can you please help?
JoffreyPlease do this after you verify all permission settings for all the groups the account is associated with. Also, make sure you check the NTFS folder permissions before doing this as well.
Since the same result happens on multiple computers, it is not the profile.
I am recommending you delete the AD account (or rename to backup the account).
It will not effect the users Exchange account, but you will need to link it back to the new AD user account.
You can also delete her profile just to remove it, for the "just in case" scenario.

Email Settings Authentication Failed - User and Pass are correct
Starting late last week I noticed I wasn't getting any tickets, even when I was submitting them. Today I checked my email settings and although they hadn't been changed an unknown error occurred. Figuring a bad address I changed the email server address from server.domain.org to the URL we use to connect phones and access our web mail system. After hitting submit I get a message saying it's an invalid username or password. I've double checked the username and password and I am able to login to our Exchange server (from my computer and the Spiceworks server) using it. I've tried various combinations of the username [domain]\username, [email protected], and [email protected] All fail authentication. I also, for laughs, changed the password on the account. Still fails. Is there something I'm missing? I am using the latest...
This topic first appeared in the Spiceworks CommunityI'm sorry to learn you are having trouble adding your corporate account, jwh8123. We definitely want to make sure that the information you are using is correct. What is the domain of your email address? For privacy reasons please do not provide your entire email address on this public forum.
Thanks,

We are getting below alerts
RFC/CPIC logon failed Reason=24 Type=R
client:000
user:SAPSYS
Also
RFC/CPIC logon failed Reason=1 Type=S
client:000
user:SAPSYS
what is the diff between these two alerts and what is the reason for getting this.
Regards,
ARNS.Thank you too much Rob,
But I am not able to find the answer for my case.
What I understod from the post is:
for using LDAP authentication for ciscopca, we will have to import users
from LDAP integration.
For me I do not care ( I just need to login, whether I used CUCM passwords , AD or Local I jsut need to login in any method )
but the actual scenrio is both CUCM nad CUC are integrated with LDAP and I IMPORT USERS FROM LDAP. I belive that I have problem with authintication throw LDAP ( I am not sure)
Is there any way to login using Local Passwords I do not need LDAP.
and what I should tupe to login shall I add the domain to username or no? In unity there is a feiled to enter the domain, what about Connection??
