Auto OpprId in Sales Quote UDF

Hi,
When I create a new Sales Quotation through the Sales Opportunityu2019s Stages tab, I would like to auto insert the OpprId value into a UDF field I created on the Sales Quote. Thus creating a reference on the Sales Quote, pointing to the relevant Sales Opportunity.
Currently we either manually enter the OpprId value into the SQ UDF, or use a formatted search that creates a list of all the latest OpprId in the system and then select the correct Opportunity No.. Using this though does not show the current Sales Opportunity one is busy with; it must obviously be added first before it will show in the formatted search list.
So is there a query that will automatically insert the related OpprId to the relevant Sales Quotation UDF?
Thanks.

Thanks Senthil,
That creates a list of OpprId for that Business Partner in the UDF on the Sales Quote. They can get the latest as long as they added the Sales opportunity to the system before they run the FMS in the Sales Quote.
It is certainly going to help.
Would have loved it if the value of the OpprId was auto imported to the UDF on the Sales Quote, but this is already an improvement.
Thanks!

  • Setting Expiration for Sales Quotes

I have found where you can set the number of days for a sales order to expire, but am unable to locate the same for sales quotes. They are currently defaulting to 30 days and we would like to change that to 15 days. Any help would be appreciated.
    Thank you,
    Monica

    Hi,
As the Suda's method, you can set Valid field by query as you want.
Create a UDF "Day" (numberic) in Marketing Document
Use formatted search at Valid Field with the query
    SELECT $[$10.0.date] + $[OQUT.U_day.number]
Tick Auto refresh by "Day" Field
    Tick Refresh Regularly
At the Quotation window, you can put the days into "Day" Field as you want, the application will automatically generate the date for Valid Field.
    Hope this helps.

  • Sales Quotes in Order Management

How can you handle Sales Quotes in the MPS/MRP planning cycle.
A MFG has Sales Quotes that normaly does not
become Sales Orders until 30 to 90days after
    Sales Quote. Any ideas??

    hi,
our requirement is give commissions to dealers in OM. I believe it can be done using sales credits while booking a sales order. we plan to create the dealers as salesreps and give sales credits to them.I would like to know the following
1.what is sales credit exactly? (can it be realized to amount or does the salesrep get any incentive based on this percentage)
2.Is there any accounting transaction that happens specific to the sales credit for a given sales order so that we can track them against the salesrep?
3.Does any accounting transaction happen when
    a.an order is booked
    b.order is closed
    c. invoice is created
Also is there any doc which throws light on accounting transactions that happen in each stage of the order processing cycle.
    Thanks & Regards,
    Nithya
    Hi Nithya,
We are giving sales commission to our dealers by assiging sales commission with an item code in a price list. Basically we are using descriptive fles field to capture this additional information in the price list. When we attach the price list at the order level, the commissions attached with the item code also appear at the order line level, where again we are using descriptive flex field. Our commissions are item specific and depend upon the price at which the dealer is able to sell the item and so they don't change with the dealer.
Depending upon ur requirements u can also make use of the descriptive flex field feature to incorporate the additional requirement in the system.
With regard to Sales credit that we are using for our sales person.
An accounting transaction happens when we do ship confirm, where the inventory account gets hit and then the order line status gets 'closed' and when we do auto invoicing then my receivables and revenue account gets hit.
Hope this meets some of ur requirements.
    Regards,
    Anil

  • Formatted Search - Sales Quote / Order Header

    Dear all,
I am trying to get the data from the Sales Quote header to a UDF field in the sales order.
This is the query I am trying to use....
    SELECT Distinct T0.Header FROM OQUT T0, ORDR T1 INNER JOIN RDR1 T2 ON T1.DocEntry = T2.DocEntry WHERE T0.DocNUm = $[$38.44.1]
Can you see where I am going wrong - as it doesnt return any answer at all ??
(I have it set up to automatically update after doc total changes...)
This certainly works for the doc number:
    SELECT Distinct T0.Docnum FROM OQUT T0, ORDR T1 INNER JOIN RDR1 T2 ON T1.DocEntry = T2.DocEntry WHERE T0.DocNUm = $[$38.44.1]
    Thanks in advance...
    Jason.

    HI Jason
    The query:
    SELECT top 1 T0.Header FROM OQUT T0 where T0.DocEntry =$[$38.45.0]
Use the BaseEntry instead of BaseNum (document numbering can be restarted by year!)
    Regards,
    J

Sales quote layout rows doubled in crystal report layout.
In sales quote layout the rows are doubled. Even in the standard layout. If the quote contains only two rows. Then it is doubled as 4 rows in the crystal report layout.
It is happening in the particular database. Other database are working fine. I request you people to help me to overcome this issue.

  • Set up a template for sales quotes in SAP Business One.

I would like a sales quotation template to contain the same 10 items so that I do not have to enter the items each time. What is the best way to do this? Is there any sales quotation template in SAP for this?
    I am using SAP Business One 2007A SP0 PL49 and B1UP.

You may use Draft function to make your own template for Sales Quotes.
    Thanks,

  • Fields for Price details in Sales Quote Output Form in SAP C4C.

We have designed a Sales Quote Output Form using ADLC for SAP Cloud for Customer (C4C). We need to print both header and item level price details like Unit Price, Tax%, Tax Amount, Discount %, Discount value on the output form. We are now struggling to find the actual fields which will carry these values in the transaction. We are using multiple pricing procedures which have different condition types. The struggle is to find the actual condition type while generating the output. Can somebody guide which fields could carry these values which condition type. Can this be achieved without coding. Please guide.
I have added two screen shots for reference.
    Regards

    Hi Alviss
Have not found a solution yet but I understand we might write a code in FormCalc or Javascript to find the correct value from the transaction & populate it in the form. This is also applicable to Discount & Tax conditions.
Search is still on for the correct & workable solution.
Keep me posted just in case you hit upon a straigt forward solution.
    Thanks..

  • Regularly auto creation of sales order

    Hi All,
Is it possible to define or set auto creation of sales order ? e.g. there 2000 customers that every biweekly Monday will have sales orders created automatically by system, so the user just only see and copy to delivery or A/R invoice. TIA
    Rgd,
    Mark

This can be performed if you use activity management and set sales quotation as a linked document. use one sales quotation but contains multiples row line of items that have different delivery dates can make it possible, but only as reminder, to create sales order,.although manually, you just use copy to and the add the SO. You could also develop addon to make SBO auto creation of sales order.
    Rgds,

  • Unable to see the application in BPM Workspace for Sales Quote tutorial

I have created the Sales Quote tutorial steps and deployed the process. The Enter Quote Details user task is in the "SalesRep" role and I have assigned a user from WebLogic user store to "SalesRep" role in the BPM Organization artifact.
In order to kick off the process, I logged-in to BPM workspace with the user I have assigned as "SalesRep" role but don't find the Sales Quote application under the "Applications" tab.
I am using 11g PS4(11.1.1.5) and didn't seed the demo users, instead just created the user using WLS console.
Any thoughts why the user is unable to see the application in BPM Workspace?
    Thanks,
    Satya

    Check two things:
    1. Login to Workspace as weblogic and click the Administration link at the top to verify the role is actually set to a user (just to double check this).
    2. Login to EM, click the SalesQuote composite, scroll down and click the EnterQuote human task component, and click the Administration tab.
This shows you if there is a task form URI associated with this human task. If not, the initiate link won't show up in the Applications menu in Workspace.
If not, you can either deploy again from JDeveloper, making sure you have selected the task forms in the deploy wizard and making sure the deployment is successful in the Deployments log window.

  • How to save an existing sales quote as a new quote.

    Hello,
I am trying to duplicate an existing sales quote. I have a button 'Save As' on the Sales Quotation UI.
On button click a new sales quote should be created with the same information and then the sales quotation UI should be populated with this newly created quote. Hence, only the DocNum in the top right corner is changed from the UI's point of view. Actually i am adding a new record in the OQUT table and the other related tables. I can use the SAPbobsCOM.Documents object, populate it with the existing quote data and create a new quote. But how do i update the Sales Quotation UI with this new object?
What is the best way to achieve this?
    Thank you for your help.
    Regards,
    Sheetal

    You could try the following:-
    - set the form mode to Find mode
    - set the value of Item "8" (DocNum) to the document number generated by the DI
    - Call the click method of Item "1" (Find button)
    John.

  • Can an Opportunity create a Sales Quote as a followup document ?

instead of the Quote Inquiry ?  This is using PI OnPrem talking to ECC.
My customer is not interested in the Quote Inquiry from the Opportunity.
Rather, they would like to create the Sales Quote as the follow-up document directly.  I wonder if it's a simple document-type setup in C4C or PI mapping.
If possible, what are the high level steps to doing that ?
    Thanks !
    Tim.

    HI Tim
The quote ID is sent back via an output control type- this is described in the integration configuration guide:
Once the quote/order are created the message type COD_OPPT_CONF is called.   In the integration guide – I think section 4.13 – we describe a requirement routine that must be created so that we know when to trigger the IDOC.
And yes to the other question.  You'll need a workflow developer if you want to adjust the workflow.

ps..thanks for posting your questions here - it helps us get Q&A in the community!
    Prerequisites
To carry out the steps below an appropriate developer key and object key is required.
    Procedure
    1. In transaction VOFM, choose Requirements   Output Control.
    2. At the bottom of the displayed table, enter an unused number greater than 600. Assign the
application V1 to this newly created line.
    3. Mark the newly created line and choose Source text (F5).
    4. Within the ABAP editor for kobed_xxx (where xxx is the number you typed in step 2), insert
    the following code:
    FORM kobed_xxx.
    * We only trigger the confirmation back to 'Cloud for Customer'
    * if the document is complete and if an opportunity document is
    * referenced.
    IF komkbv1-uvall EQ 'C' AND
    cl_cod_oppt_confirmation=>is_relevant( komkbv1 ) = abap_true.
    sy-subrc = 0.
    ELSE.
    sy-subrc = 4.
    ENDIF.
    ENDFORM.
    5. Save and activate the coding.

  • Scoping Question on follow-up documents for Sales Quotes

One of the scoping questions in the "Integration into Sales, Service, and Marketing Processes" in the Customer Quotes section asks:
"Do you want to create follow-up documents for sales quotes from your cloud solution to an external application?"
See screenshot with the arrow cursor below:
What follow-up documents is this referring ?
Would be related to creating Sales Orders in the ERP ?
What other followup documents could there be ?  The Help text was not very clear.

    Hi Tim,
On creating the sales quote in C4C, request can be triggered to ERP system for Sales Order Request.
Once Sales Order gets created in the ERP system, 'Sales Order Request' and 'Sales Order' documents can be captured in C4C.

I am not sure I understand your question. What I think you are asking is in your data binding where is the data for fields in question. That is something you will need to get from whoever defined the data. The connection simply binds the data to your form but determining which field carries that data is not something this group would be able to help with. I would go back to your DBA and ask for a schema or DB reference to show which bindings will carry that data. Does that help?
