Automatic deletion of material reservation after a given retention period

Hi,
we have an issue with materil reservation done through CJ20N
u2022To set a Retention period for a reservation, that is 14 Days, during this specific period which a reservation item resides in the system before being deleted by the reservation management program.order category is 20.
we were able to set the deletion indicator in MM,plant wise
but when we run the report MBVR it is not getting listed,it doesnt show any of the reservation done through cj20N
can any one give the reason why it is not getting listed.

Check this:
Homescreen > Messages > > Options > General Options
Scroll to the bottom of that list and you should have a setting for configuring how long messages remain on your BB.

How do I automatically delete a .ps file after creating a pdf?

Hi all! I vaguley remember in the past that there is a preference to automatically delete a .ps file after creating a pdf. Can someone remind me of how to do this? I'm using Distiller version 9.2.0. Thank you so much!

PS: I'm creating the .ps file from Quark 7, if that makes a difference.

I am unaware of any feature allowing automatic delete of .PS files.
The adobePDF print driver which has been removed in OSX.6.x (Snow Leopard) That you choose when ina Document would go through the following steps in the background this made it slow.
create .ps File (hidden)
Checksum Verify the .ps File
Open Distiller in background (hidden)
Create Pdf
Checksum Verify the .pdf File
shut down Distiller in Backgroun (hidden)
Delete .ps File (hidden)
Pdf suddenly appears
If at any point in this chain something dies the pdf was not made.
Actually in prior OS to X.3.x the print driver provided for my Hp Inkjet, it was actually better to go to print menu, and choose save as postscript, then drop the postsript file on distiller and creat the PDF. or just open the ps in Acrobat.
with the PRint Drive provided for my HP Inkjet for X.3 it was changed to create Postcsript file from PDF. In the start having the PDF button on print menu. The pdf's were not as good as those created in the AdobePDF driver. But were aceptable for most purposes.

Get a waveform graph to stop plotting after a given time period

I am doing a research project looking at the effects of modifying visual feedback on a person's current force output. I have a waveform graph that plots the target force level they are trying to match (specified by me) and next to it a second plot showing their current force output (in real time). I am trying to make a condition where the current force output plot (or really the whole waveform graph) stops plotting after a 10 s time period, but can't seem to get it to work. It either plots for the whole trial, or does not plot at all. Is there a way to put a timer on a waveform graph in order to tell it to stop plotting after a specified time period?

I have tried to open the .vi you sent, but I have version 8.2 (yours is in version 8.5) and cannot open it. Is there a way for you to tave the.vi so that it can be opened with earlier versions of the program?

Tieing material reservation with purchase order

Hi,
At my client site they make manual reservations to create demand and thus trigger purchase orders to replenish it. Once the PO is GRed then the manual reservations are manually deleted. This is extra work for the planners/buyers. Is there any way to automatically erase the manual reservations once the GR for the PO is done ?

You can adopt the automatic deletion program for Reservations as follows:
Reservations are deleted as follows:
1. Reservation items that are completed or that are in the system longer than a certain number of days are marked for deletion by the reservations management program.
2. If all of the items of a reservation are marked for deletion, the reservation is physically removed from the file.
The Reservations management program RM07RVER carries out the following activities:
- Marking items for deletion
- Deleting reservations
- Allowing movements for reservation items
Marking Items for Deletion: The reservations management program sets the deletion indicator for reservation items:
- that are completed (final issue indicator has been set)
- whose requirement date is earlier than the date calculated by the system
Consequently, old or unnecessary reservations that no longer represent an "actual" request are deleted (for example, because the material was withdrawn without the reservation being referenced during the goods issue posting).
Calculating the Deletion Date: To allow the system to calculate a date for the deletion of the reservations, you must enter a base date on the selection screen. The system calculates the deletion date using the base date you enter minus a predefined number of days (in the standard SAP System: 30 days).
Example: You enter 10. 01 as a base date. In this case, all reservation items whose requirement date is on or before 09.01 are marked for deletion.
Deleting Reservations: If all of the items of a reservation are marked for deletion, the entire reservation is removed from the file.
Running the Reservations Management Program :
Choose Reservation --> Manage.
The Reservations Management selection screen is displayed.
Enter a range for the reservations to be processed. You can also narrow down the number of reservations to be processed by entering an account assignment as a selection criterion.
Enter the base date:
a.Only reservations whose base date is on or before the date entered are taken into account.
b. Using the base date, the system calculates the date for deletion of the reservation items and the period for allowing movements.
Select the actions to be carried out (for example, Set deletion indicator/delete reservation or Allow goods movement).
If the 'Only completed items' indicator is set, only items that are completely issued or marked as completed are marked for deletion.
If you run the program as a test run, you obtain a list of all reservations and reservation items with the changes to be carried out. You can make the changes by choosing List ® Save.
If you do not run the program as a test run, the changes are carried out immediately. A log of the changes that are carried out is only issued if you selected the issue log indicator.
Choose Program --> Execute to run the reservations management program.

For the open material reservation after executing the transaction MB25 for the given Requirement period from date to to date some of the Reservation are missing in the out put of report even tho their requirement date lies in between selection date & reservation are opened

as i dont see any system issue here...its must be manual issue only.
Please post exact error you getting while determining the batch.
and check might be other material may have same batch as selected 4 earleir material

Please check Tcode OMBR there select print version, and you can see for Tcode MB1C settings should be there.(i.e. print version must be maintained there).

Why does ical automatically delete information on calendar after eight months or so? Why doesn't data which has been inserted on calendar remain on the relevant dated calendar? (Apart from actually saving or backing up calendar).

How are your settings in iCal preferences set?
iCal-->Preferences-->Advanced-->Delete events __ days after they have passed.

No, not with the native Music app (except through the alarm, which only plays one song, as you have noted). You might check the app store for something.

Automatic closing of reservation after 3 days

Hi all,
The user creates reservation daily but against that reservation partial material is issued. Partial material which is not issued, is treated as open reservation, which in turn distrubs MRP run.
We want that system should retain only last 03 days reservation active & rest all should be closed automatically.
I tried but not working, please advice....

You can maintain Retention period in OMBN
Retention period, in days, for reservation items
Indicates the time in days during which a reservation item resides in
the system before being deleted by the reservation management program.

Material reservation deleted into maintenance order

Dear,
I'm facing with strange issue with some maintenance order... The users have created some maintenance order, done material reservation and released these order... After that they are trying change these materials reservation and then when they go until the reservation they can see the material with status "item is deleted".
However no changes was done these reservation. The components items is maintaned with gray scale.

regarding material reservation created using MB21 TCode. some examples in which system creates reservation without date (for some items, not all items) When i am try to edit or delete such reservations system gives us an error "Posting date is initial" and does not allow us to edit or delete such reservations.

Regarding this issue, the reason why you got F5669 when accessing
reservation in MB22 is that the requirement date RESB-BDTER should be blank.
I don't know why the requirment date of the reservation became blank
in your system..
Unfortunately, there is no standard report available to update the old
reservations with requirement date. This problem can be solved by updating the value via SE16 in deabugging mode
1. run SE16, input the table name RESB and press ENTER
2. input the reservation number and press Run button.
3. In transaction code bar, input the '/h' and press ENTER to activate the debugging mode, then double click the item line.
4. in debugging mode Select 'Switch to Classic Debugger'
5. then press F7 and Double click code, then its value was shown below.
Currently the value is SHOW, please change it to EDIT, then click the Pencil button.
After clicking Pencil button, press F8.
Now you can see the field is editable. You can now change the required field's value and click the SAVE button
***CAUTION****
Please be careful and not wrongly input or typing value in other fields!
After you exit SE16, the edit mode is closed and return to normal display mode

Is it possible for an SMS to be automatically deleted after a specified period or by a remote party?

Hi Everyone,
I had a strange situation occur today with an SMS on my iPhone 5.
I signed up for a bank account and a message was sent to me with a few details of my account and a seperate SMS with a temporary PIN Number (from the same number) after authenticating my date of birth. The SMS was available all day yesterday and didnt look at it again, until I received another message from the Bank today stating "If your PIN message still exists in your inbox, Please delete manually", looking at the conversation of the SMS the temporary PIN has disappeared, Eventhough I still have other messages in the conversation available.
Can anyone in the community help me understand whether it is possible to remotely remove an individual SMS or send a timed SMS with an exipry, after which the message automatically deletes itself.

Adobe Reader IE plugin (11.0.04 - .06) is automatically deleted after first restart

Hi all
I have discovered a strange bug (as I like to call it). Since Adobe Reader version 11.0.04 (now we have 11.0.06) there is problem with IE plugin.
When I install it - everything is working and from IE I can succesfully open pdf files. But when I restart computer after Adobe Reader installation, all plugin files are missing (like they are automatically deleted) from C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Adobe\Acrobat\ActiveX folder. And ofcourse IE plugin is not working any more.
Workaround is when AFTER first computer restart I manually copy all plugin files to that folder or repair Adobe Reader installation - then files are not being deleted any more. As I said, it is very strange problem.
However this workaround is not acceptable to me because I have lots of computers where I need this software to be installed.
Have anybody seen this problem and know how to fix this? Other browser (firefox, chrome) plugins are working correctly after fist restart. This problem is with Windows 8.1 / IE11 and Windows 7 / IE9
In Adobe Reader version 11.0.03 everything is working and after first restart plugin is not being automatically deleted.

No, it's not an antivirus software, because same thing happens in clean windows 7 system (without any antivirus or other specific software). And like I said, it started with version 11.0.04 - earlier versions are OK.
Also not only IE plugin files are gone after first restart but also Adobe Reader shortcut in Start Menu. Adobe Reader itself is working.
After first restart and repairing Adobe Reader installation - these files are not being deleted any more. It is not helping if I do repair after installation and before first restart. The thing is, only first restart after installation always deletes these files.
I looked everywhere in Windows (registry, startup, scheduled tasks) where might be some clue what is deleteing these files - didn't find anything.

They need to know what are the difference between the two kinds of deletion flag.
(1.When i del the resevration,the data in table RESB will marked as X to the field RESB-XLOEK.
2.When i tecoed the NW,all datas in table RESB will marked as X to the field RESB-XLOEK.)

Automatic delete after import from iPhone

Hello,
when I import pictures from iPhone directly to Aperture 3, I can not find a way the automatically delete the pics from iPhone after completion.
This is done in iPhoto very easily.
Anyone any idea, where / how to activate this option in Aperture 3?
I hope Aperture 3 is able to do that, otherwise it is a poor statement as Aperture should be some iPhoto prof....

Don't know the answer offhand (don't have an iPhone), but you might find it if you read through some of the [Importing Images chapter|http://documentation.apple.com/en/aperture/usermanual/index.html#chapte r=4%26section=0] of the User Manual.
